The Swan Inn in Wychavon

Love this pub, the staff and the food is very good. If thinking of going check when they are open as they are closed on certain days. It's owned (I think) by a young couple who are lovely, who run it so well.

Food was delicious steak and ale pie , syrup sponge and custard 😋 Didn't realise best to book a roast when you booked table as when got there no roast dinners left...but the food was great 👍

Shh, don't tell everyone, but we've been going for a few years now and never had a bad meal. Friendly staff, and they're even pet friendly. Still the best meal out locally... In for another family birthday 👍🎂

Just had the most wonderful Sunday lunch at the Swan. Roast pork followed by crumble and custard. Food is delicious, service is fantastic a lovely atmosphere. We had a delicious glass of zinfandel and pint of pure stout. Owners care a lot about their business and it shows in every little detail. Will definitely be back soon.

Fantastic gastro pub. 8 of us arrived for a celebration lunch. Service was super friendly & efficient. Food fantastic, excellent fish specials. Would highly recommend a visit. Too cold to enjoy the lovely garden.

Whilst enjoying a weekend away we were recommended the Swan for a Sunday lunch location. As soon as we walked into the very homely feeling establishment we were greeted by Tom with a smile & asked had we booked a table. We had & were immediately shown to our table in the bar area, our choice as we had our dog with us. We have both thoroughly enjoyed their Defford Pork Shoulder Sunday lunch with seasonal vegetables, compliments the chef. The lemon mousse with black currant compote dessert was devine, all staff were cheerful & attentive but not invasive. They have quite an extensive fish menu but that will wait till another time. Highly recommend

We had tasty burgers while visiting friends in the village, dog friendly too. The area had been flooded locally so I think this was why it was very quiet.

Our first time eating here although we have visited previously for drinks. We were very impressed. The choice was excellent, especially the wide selection of fish dishes - presumably a speciality of The Swan. The food was well presented, perfectly cooked and served quickly. The staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive. This was overall a thoroughly enjoyable experience and we will certainly recommend to friends and be back ourselves. Thank you.

We are staying locally for a few days and had had The Swan recommended to us, so despite it being a bit wet and rainy, we booked a table for lunch today (Sunday) and did a lovely circular walk from Pershore to build up an appetite ... and walk off some of the food afterwards. The pub is warm and welcoming, as were all the staff, and despite us wearing wellies and being a little soggy, they welcomed us into the restaurant where we derobed and sat down to enjoy an excellent lunch. All tables were full, unsurprisingly as the food and service were excellent, and the garden with its little cubicles looked great, albeit they were empty today. I opted for large fish and chips, which was cooked to perfection and not greasy, and the other half had the mixed grill which was also very tasty. Dessert was a rich chocolate mousse which was delicious and generous... the shortbread biscuit was one of the best we have had in a long time. Thank you for a lovely meal and if we are back in the area we will definately be back to try some more.

Excellent lunch with our friends after the Eckington Wharfe Circular Walk. Need to book, it's popular and deservedly so. Great range of fish and seafood dishes. Highly recommend.

We ate outside on the pub’s well manicured lawn. I wish that my lawn looked this good. I thought that the actual menu was limited and too traditional. What saved the day was an an excellent specials board consisting mainly of fish. My whitebait starter was lovely although perhaps the devilled mayonnaise was a little too devilled for my liking. My wife’s smoked haddock in a light curry sauce was inspired. If I had any negative comments they would be that there is limited parking and it is very busy in the early evening.

A wonderful village pub. Superb food. Lovely staff. Nothing is too much trouble. Introduced to the pub by some friends. Chose it for a meal for a special occasion. It did not disappoint.

What a great find! I was looking for somewhere to go for lunch, to celebrate my Mums birthday..and a friend recommended The Swan Inn. Im just SO pleased i took their advice! Everything was perfect. Friendly welcome, excellent food with a special fish selection , that alters daily, due to availability of fresh fish. Lovely old pub building, with tasteful conservatory, and garden area. Lots of people having lunch on a Friday…sign of a good establishment. Just what a proper village pub should be.. I highly recommend.

What a wonderful experience the Swan has to offer. Everything about our visit was pretty much close to perfect. Firstly, it is located in a great spot and has alovely garden for sitting in on nice, warm sunny days. The ambience inside the pub itself is old-worlde charming. I have only ever had a drink at the pub before and this was our first time dining experience with all my family . The menu is different to normal pub fare and has a great fish specials board. Prices are definitely very reasonable compared to the inflated ones we see around us in the Peak District. The food is tasty, well presented and served by a great team who are very friendly and efficient. Based on this trip I can do nothing but recommend a visit very highly indeed.

Excellent all round. The menu has plenty to choose from and catered well for all tastes. The fish on the menu was amazing. All staff from the landlady to the waiting staff were excellent, friendly and efficient. We have a 14 week old puppy who we had for 3 days. This was his first pub outing and he was VERY welcome. Cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Popped in The Swan today with family for some lunch but unfortunately was fully booked. Luckily Zoe & Will are amazing hosts and we were able to have a takeout. Can’t stress enough how accommodating Zoe & Will are and the food is outstanding, always enjoy eating there .

Really lovely food and polite staff. We walk in after a slightly damp walk and were greeted well regardless of the fact we were lugging bags and a baby carrier in with us. Found the last available table for us (the fact it was so busy says a lot about the quality of a place!) We had some ciabatta sandwiches which were stuffed with filling and tasted great. Relatively well priced and included a good children's menu with nicely presented food for the little one too. Will be back soon!

Another excellent meal at The Swan Inn last Saturday lunchtime served by very knowledgeable and helpful staff. We sat in the conservatory and enjoyed the fish dishes that were on the blackboard. As my mother-in-law lives locally we'll certainly be visiting again. The sweet menu was extensive and priced at a very reasonable £6, much cheaper than a lot of pubs these days. This pub is definitely a hidden gem in rural Worcestershire.

Five us for dinner. Two had seafood crepes, two had the sea bream, and one the haddock and chips. All were excellent and the servings were very generous. Staff extraordinarily professional, friendly, and thorough. Wine list included a very nice Chablis. Very pleasant evening.

I have been to the Swan several times over many years. The main bar is snug so dining is mainly in a conservatory overlooking the garden. All very nice and well presented. Staff are friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. On this occasion my food could have been better but I think it was an exception. The friend I dined with had a much better experience. Drinks were spot on, will go again and keep my fingers crossed.

Picturesque village pub with great atmosphere and quality food and choice of local real ales

I remember when this was a real local village pub. It now really only caters for foodies and the food is very good even though slightly on the pricey side. They now have a little area at the bar where you can just sit, drink and chat. The ales they had on tap were extremely well kept.
