Castle Hotel in Wychavon

After travelling all day and not eating all day, we had the best meal (and service) here. We arrived quite late and worried about the kitchen still being open - but the bar staff assured us it was no problem and we had an amazing steak (cooked perfectly) and burger. Service and food was exceptional, and all staff were friendly, smiling and professional. Reasonable prices too. All round 5 star really looking forward to going back.

The food was decent here but lately it's gone down hill.the steak was tough as a leather boot. The fish tasted like dirt. And the prices are insane. They want £3 here for a CAN of Fanta or £5/£6 for a pint it's too much for the area. We will not be coming here again in a hurry

We went because a friend had a 50% off voucher. Food & service was great. Soft drinks a bit pricey but where isn't. Will go again.

Brilliant pub. Events regularly really well organised like quizzes and bingo. The team work so hard to make a really lovely environment. Sonia deserves special credit. Lucky to have this as pur local.

Amazing pub and the food was the best I have had in years. Table service was great and couldn't do enough. Also note specifically two young ladies on the bar and who served us were amazing staff and deserve a pay rise. This will become a regular visit for me. Such a welcoming pub, food was amazing, staff are very friendly and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure you're happy. Very clean and a great selection of drinks at the bar. Cannot recommend the place enough.

Came here a few nights ago for my father’s birthday, and I have to say the food was brilliant (few of us had the bacon cheese burger and my father had the mix grill), and the staff were so kind! …it was great service all around, so thank you!

This lovely little pub is just off the A38 , we met up as a family on my recent visit up to Droitwich. We love going here as it provides good food, always hot and delicious, a cosy atmosphere, the staff are extremely friendly and efficient , nothing is to much for them . Very helpful. The food I congratulate the chef as we have never received any cold , inedible food or sent any back . Well done once again The staff at the Castle . Will be visiting again soon

Our first visit here. Food was good service too. Tables are nicely spaced apart, and the background music was just right and not intrusive. Food excellent value for money. Definitely recommend the Lasagne. A pleasant experience will be returning.

You can always rely on good quality food and being good value for money. We often go for breakfast or lunch as a family. Only one thing let it down this time was that our waitress bought our drinks holding the rim of our cups and even had one finger inside the rim🙈 one cup was also sent back with a bright red lipstick print on it. But I have to say this isn't usual!!. It's not how we are normally cared for. Maybe as it was a Saturday morning, it was different staff. It won't prevent us, though, from still going as that morning was very much the exception to the rule.👍

What is the point of making a booking and you get to pub and get tuned away because they didn't read what we needed. Went to Hungary horse instead. And it was a lot better. Good buy sh I t pub and customer service

The Castle had only been open for 3 days when we were there. All four meals were 5*****, it did take a while to get served but in fairness to the lovely staff it was very busy. We will definitely be returning🙂

Never had a meal, but went to watch some live football

Booked a table for 8pm on Sunday evening... Didn't realise but kitchen closed at 8! Manager and team still allowed us to order food! Fantastic service

We came here on Wednesday evening really nice atmosphere in there, we both had chicken skewers with sweet potato wedges and coleslaw was fantastic 😋 love the wedges, service was really quick will definitely be returning soon.

The steak was like an old boot. 3 roast potatoes, a pot of mayo and 3 halves of small sweetcorn. I sent the steak back to have it cooked a little bit more. It came back on the same plate but the meagre potatoes were cold. This was a Christmas lunch. Never again!!!

Myself and a friend had lunch here today, the food was fantastic perfectly cooked and presented, the front of house staff are lovely warm welcome very helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble, the food was very good value very good atmosphere, I will definitely go again, and I would recommend it

First time in many years coming to The Castle. It was good then but it's better now! You know when you look at a menu and go straight to your choice? Well we all spent ages perusing! So many lovely choices and flavours. The four of us really enjoyed the food, it came out quickly and was served hot and plentiful. The puds too were lovely. And to top it all , the bill , can't believe you can still eat well for those prices. Definitely recommend you give this place a go and see for yourself. And as above the lasses on the bar were helpful, cheerful and provided good service. Hard to find post-covid!

Great pub, great service and class to watch the football

Had my daughters 4th birthday here the staff are spot on but unfortunately had to send 2 mains back one burger was pink and one gammon was cold. The food came out abit to quick for our liking not even 10 minutes after ordering there was 17 of us but still abit to fast felt rushed. But the rest was lovely a good price and fair.

I visited the castle whilst working in the area and can honestly say the team were brilliant. I was alone but made to feel very welcome and even had conversations with some locals. I ate the boneless wings and a chicken flatbread which were served promptly and by a smiley waitress. I’ll look forward to returning when I’m the area again. Thank you!

Our first time here since it had its refurb. Lovely atmosphere, staff very attentive. Food was very tasty. The sharing platters aren't worth £25 IMO. The rest of the food was tasty and OK priced. Will go again!!

Stopped here passing through and glad we did, lovely place, plenty of comfy seating inside and out, airy and roomy with a very good menu with dishes from all over. There's even a 2 for £12 weekday deal on pub classics. Daughter had cajun salmon and King prawns, which she throughly enjoyed, I had fish and chips, which was a good portion and extremely tasty, hubby had the chicken tikka burger, which looked more like a tower but was enjoyed. The food was hot and tasty and we weren't kept waiting even though it was fairly busy. Staff were lovely and if we are passing through again I wouldn't hesitate to return..very recommended.

Found this place by accident today. Popped in with my 4 kids because they were thirsty from our drive. Ended up staying for a couple of hours. Staff were some of the friendliest I've come across. Shout out to Craig, Bailey, Cassie and jade for being great with the kids, providing excellent service and the food came out so quick! Will be back for a proper planned evening very soon. Thank you!

Had the pub classics. The pie was especially good, pastry all round not just a lid on top. The only slight downsides were the muzak and the number of tv screens but we were able to find a spot away from them.

Its now a new seared franchise pub. A well thought out premises inside with a few tables outside. The food is above average and some can be great and tasty and others just big and blande. So choose wisely and you won't be disappointed.

Had a voucher 50%off bill so thought we would try it. After we booked it i looked at reviews & they were quite poor, so wasnt sure what to expect. We could not fault it, very welcoming, food excellent & service first class. It was very busy but we did not have to wait long for our food, we shall come back.

Over the years, The Castle has never gotten it right with the food... until now. Wow! Had the medditeranean platter for 2, and I can't wait to go back and have it again. The juiciest, perfectly marinated chicken. Lovely, welcoming staff, too. See you soon!

Our first visit, enticed by a discount voucher, but definitely our last. We went on a Thursday evening, and the venue was quite busy. We ordered and waited for 45 mins before we were given the wrong order. We then waited another 15 minutes before our actual order came (we both had ordered the same dish) and most of our food was frozen - yes, actually solid, cold frozen! Whoever thought that was acceptable to be sent from the kitchen ought to fired. We felt so sorry for the very hard-working Restaurant Manager, who did what she could for us, but which ultimately resulted in a full refund, and us vowing never to return!

The pub looks stunning but apart from that its bad. Terrible service which manager put down to new systems but last time we came (before the most recent bar refurbishment) we had a similar experience. After attempting to give it another go we really regretted it. We waited 1 hour and 20 for mains which after two conversations we had with the manager was STILL not ready. A table sat behind us which was seated 40 minutes after us had their meal before ours (one eating something we had on order) Honestly its terrible. The communication is terrible. The service is a mess. The building refurb looks great but is pointless if the basic fundamentals of providing a service are none existent. Avoid at all costs if you plan to eat.

We use this place regularly but tonight has been the worst experience. The service in the restaurant area was painfully slow, it seemed the waitress was more occupied talking to friends than serving, so slow in fact I went to the bar to get my own drinks. The chicken wings were over cooked and hard almost inedible. The burgers and steak asked for as medium were infact well done. We even had to ask for the Coleslaw, that was supposed to come with the burger, as despite waiting for an absolute age for the mains it was not complete when it arrived. Then, to top it all having received the bill it included an item we had not ordered. I can only express our disappointment.

People are friendly and chatty. Service is good takes orders before 12 pm but doesn't open the kitchen till 12pm . Food is very nice good size portion and is always hot. We go early for lunch as its always very busy with a little time. They do very good deals 👌 different ones for days of the week . Breakfast are stunningly good.

There is very little vegetarian options - really struggled to find something (there used to be more options than there is now)
