Great place for lunch,nice big carpark 😁👍

Went for something to eat after looking at menu online, which was an old menu. So when we got there we didn’t fancy anything on new menu. So finished our drinks and had something to eat somewhere else.

If you're a local, you might drive by without giving it much thought – but do yourself a favor and pop in! We decided to stop by on a Saturday lunchtime and were so glad we did. We enjoyed the steak and ale pie which comes with a drink, and topped it off with two of the best desserts we've had in ages. The barman was super friendly and attentive, the food was piping hot and delicious, and the atmosphere was warm and cozy. Such a lovely surprise! This place is now officially our new local. Highly recommend this great pub!

Updated feedback 18/9/24 Came here again today for work... This place is stunning... refurbished by punch to a really high standard. New landlord Matt was a great host... The entire building is spotless from top to bottom and the attention to hygiene and visual cleanliness is clear to see... Huge carpark with ample outside seating and a heated smoking area Plush seating inside and the bar stools are seriously comfy This is a beautiful venue with great new land lord... Thanks for looking after me today Matt 👍😎

Had an offer for 2 courses for £16, had some chicken strips with a dip which was very good followed by a cheese and bacon burger which was a little bit overcooked for my liking but not the worst burger I've ever eaten either!

Call in on the spur of the moment, lovely friendly pub, made our dog welcome, Meals were delicious couldn't fault them, the steak was one of the best I'd ever had and my hubby loved his half a chicken meal, would recommend to anyone especially with a dog, welcome done to you all excellent food and customer service 👏👏

A lovely friendly welcome and all round good service. Great homecooked food at reasonable prices. We decided on the normal lunch menu, but there are some good deals on at the moment (eg lunch and drink £11) Good selection of cask ales too. Clean and welcoming. Shame the sun wasn't out so we couldn't sit in the lovely courtyard. Will definitely be back.

Really great pub for locals and visitors to the area. Nicely decorated with both indoor and outdoor seating. We had a late evening meal (main and drink) and thoroughly enjoyed it. Love that our little dog could join us 🐾 He was even given his own water bowl and gravy bone. Thank you Matt and Owen 👍

Met a friend last night for dinner. Haven’t been here in around 10 years. Really friendly staff. We had the 2 courses for £16 and was delicious.

The food was great. We was allowed to go off menu and the owner Matt Feeney suggested a grilled chicken salad which was absolutely delicious. Pub had a nice atmosphere and was an excellent venue. Just what you’d expect from a pub that does great food. Good Prices too for quality food!

Great little pub! The menu has plenty to choose from, and you get great service. The staff are very friendly. The food is good value for money. They also have a great beer garden.

Went for lunch last Sunday; three of us; convenient for Blackpole retail parks whilst 'white goods' hunting. Good parking and a nice welcome. Not the usual huge long menu but offered both Sunday roasts and variety of alternative choices. Drinks arrived quickly and we were warned food cooked to order so might have a little wait. Two roast chickens with all the trimmings and our son had wanted the sausage and mash but just missed the last helping so chose the steak. Came just as he ordered which he said was a nice change! All most enjoyable and then two ice cream desserts. All well presented with cheerful service and a reasonable price. Thank you, we will be back.

Food decent none normal service

We popped in for a light bite one Saturday lunchtime and was pleasantly surprised by how good the food and real ale were. Only downside really is the decor. Why on earth they didn't take the opportunity to bring it into the 21st century with a more modern feel. It's dark and dingy, with dull paint they may have used thirty years ago to hide nicotine stains. A fresh set of greyed wood panels in front of the bar and grey window frames and white paint would have been fantastic.. missed opportunity or what!!

we went to do mary’s pub quiz night tonight and had an amazing time!! such a great quiz and an amazing atmosphere. drinks were great and staff were friendly! DO MARYS QUIZ FOR A FABULOUS EVENING!!!!

Came here for the Father’s Day menu. Cannot fault the food. Everything was fresh and the portions were plentiful. Staff were lovely and nothing too much trouble. Definitely recommend now with the new landlord and chef. We will be back.

WOW 🤩 what a lovely pub. We stopped by today for a Sunday lunch it was amazing the taste was out of this world one of the best roast dinners I’ve had in a long time. The presentation was extremely good and was a really good size meal. Will 100% be back to try the rest of the menu and of course the roast dinner again. The pub is beautiful very clean and staff made us feel very welcome Just wish this was on my doorstep because I think I would be eating at the White Hart most days. Can’t wait to come back. Been using the White Hart as a regular for a couple of years, it’s now under new management with a new chef, in the last few weeks I’ve had two Sunday roasts and been to a quiz for a food taster evening, for all those people who stopped using it, now the time to start again, food, service and atmosphere are all perfect and all at a fair price, it’s great to see the pub back to its former glory, once you’ve tried the food, it’ll soon become a regular haunt, well done guys 👍

Fantastic new menu and food was superb in both taste and how it looked.

Went to a quiz night here on the 21st May where we were able to try different foods from their new menu. The food was delicious (particularly the shepherds pie) and the atmosphere was great fun. Would recommend this pub to anyone!!!

Very friendly staff, amazing food, and most of all great atmosphere. Will definitely be back to indulge into more great cuisines.

Always our go to... unfortunately after today's visit won't be returning .. undercooked chicken is a no no ..chef did not even come out to apologise... extremely poor service...this will without doubt make people very poorly if not taken seriously ..we told two young members of staff but basically said that would inform the chef?

After a 9 mile walk over the Malverns, we popped in for food and drinks (7 people, & 3 dogs). Food was delightful, tasty and hot, but... We ordered a child's roast chicken dinner for our large greyhound, who absolutely demolished it 😀, if you have a spoilt pooch, I definitely recommend a Sunday treat after a long walk...

Visited Easter Sunday all 8 family members and had an amazing Sunday Roast Lunch, great service too. Worth a visit :-)

Absolutely beautiful atmosphere food and staff

Really nice food at a decent price. Was very quiet when we went on a Tuesday afternoon for lunch,.so not a lot of atmosphere but staff were very friendly and helpful and you could not fault the food.

Slow service and awful food. Like others we were expecting the offer advertised on the website only to be told it expired in January and the website was done by the chain and ' nothing to do with us'. We had ordered the day before at their request as there were 12 of us and still the food took half an hour to arrive, with one of the group's specific dietary needs, which had been made clear in bold type on the order, totally ignored. For some reason they had also set our reserved table for only 11. With the extra chair we were crammed like sardines. The end seats were rammed in even before the extra chair and the unlucky diners on those had to climb over them and sit with their legs either side of the chair. We made light and had a laugh about it as it was a special meal for a colleague who was leaving. But it was ridiculous really. One of our group's fish was grey and another said her curry tasted like a microwave meal. My 'Louisiana chicken wrap with satay sauce and Asian slaw' was a few pieces of reconstituted chicken in a wrap with a tiny amount of shredded lettuce and small slice of tomato. No satay, no slaw. The 'chicken' looked like pet food texture and was soggy with a weird taste. It was inedible. I have never sent a meal back in my life, but it had to go, nor have I ever left a bad review. Two firsts in one go! Really sad as we have had some great meals here in years gone by.

This pub is still advertising a £9 special lunch offer, which includes a drink. Myself & a friend went for lunch in February, only to be told that the offer only applied for January 2024? Why is the offer still on the website then & we are now in March? Also, they were hosting a wake although later than we arrived. We were the only other diners & made to feel a nuisance, despite having told them no worries, we would just go across the road to The Bull but no, they said it would be OK & they could serve us, which they did but we were not even offered a dessert menu. My friend ordered a burger but asked for it without relish - when it came not only did it not have the relish as requested but for some strange reason they omitted the cheese as well? All in all, shoddy service & I would have preferred if they had simply said that they shortly had a private function so weren't serving meals. Also, despite my friend subsequently emailing the pub about the lunchtime offer we were refused they are still advertising it? Shan't be going back in a hurry!

Sunday lunch not as it as been before and not happy when you’re trying to eat your food with dogs around your feet dogs should be out side or away from people who are eating

I went here for a wake (funeral of a work mate)☹the food was excellent and everyone said about the quality and lots of vegetarian food and well labelled up 😋and the staff did well to serve us all when we arrived 👏🍻☕🍷

Really disappointing visit, having heard good things. Initially appeared to be a nice family pub but soon felt like a poorly organised creche. Kids running behind the bar and all round the tables. Lots of menu unavailable. Dessert inedible as it arrived without half the ingredients! Service poor. Never offered second drink and after dessert the request was 'shall I get your bill' almost felt like an invite to leave. Cobwebs all over the wall next to the table. But I'm sure I am missing something or caught a bad day as it was packed and so others must have been satisfied. We'll probably try again, but just for drinks.

The pub was quiet cold but we were served at the table. The food was lovely served hot and tasty recommend the Chick Schnitzel

Have given this rating only because the staff were lovely. Went with friends for lunch having checked the Sunday menu online. It shows roasts plus several other options. Disappointed to find only roasts available. Two friends only had a starter as they do not like roasts. Waitress said the brewery do the website without consultation. Roast was mediocre and not what I would have chosen.

Excellent pub, lovely food - great prices, and friendly staff - what more do you need? A good selection of pub favourites and something for everyone.

A lovely warm welcome with friendly staff. I attended a wake after a funeral, so I cannot comment on the food. The spread of food for the funeral looked great (I didn’t eat)

Nice staff. Nice setting. Nice drinks and service. A board on wall advertising the best Sunday roast in Fernhill Heath. Unfortunately not the case. Starter of garlic and Stilton mushrooms lovely but roast awful . One choice of meat and beef was very tough. Frozen roast potatoes , frozen broccoli and cauliflower and just the 2 veg. Gravy and Yorkshire pudding was lovely. No horseradish. And at 14.50 each a big disappointment. Sorry but will not be returning.

Very disappointed with the new white hart slow bar service and very slow with our meal when we got our meal extremely small had fishfinger sandwich and chips and peas arrived with no peas and sandwich only had one fish finger in it won’t be returning

Came here last night with a group of friends for the Festive meal at £26.99 per head for a 3 course meal, never have we been soo disappointed! It was case of spot the vegetables on the plate, 3 measly tiny sprouts, a few shavings of a carrot, and 2 over cooked parsnips, rosties were tiny also and a very small dried up stuffing, the amount on that plate would have had a child turn their nose up, disgusting! Ordered a Xmas pud and it resembled one of those minnie pound things from the supermarket, wasn't even asked what we wanted with it, looks nothing like the picture advertised, we even asked for more veg and were told there wasn't any, were told the portions were measured out, used to love this place, not anymore, won't be returning.

Lost its touch on the food. No specials board. Seems very 'chain like' food. Hubby's meal seemed small on the portion size (he's glad he had a starter). Nice to see its busy. Will return for drinks rather than food.

Had a Brilliant experience at the White Heart, Food was great & a brilliant lively atmosphere for families and the like. Nice selection of beers on tap. 10/10 would go again :)

We have visited the pub a few times since Jess & Danni have taken over & what a breath of fresh air they are. Excellent service & the food is top notch! Lovely selection of beers and spirits too! Would recommend to everyone 10/10 ladies keep up the hard work, we will definitely be back very soon!

My wife's beef was not eatable , the selection of vegetables not good, and the mash, sorry wax a fork full only, and deserts was 3 selections

First time in years that we’ve been. We were warmly welcomed, had a good, well priced meal and a fun quiz. The staff were all great and all the customers very friendly. Will certainly be going again.

Although regular visitors to the White Hart, today was our first Sunday roast there. It was delicious! Lovely roast beef with all of the trimmings and certainly good value for money. Fab staff as always. Thank you for a yummy Sunday!

Had a lovely lunch, celebrating my sister’s birthday. There were four of us plus ‘Frank’ our dog. The service was excellent and the food was delicious but a little light on the chips. My niece also commented that she didn’t get much mashed potato with her sausages. That aside, the menu was mouth watering and not ‘over busy’. The prices were very reasonable. The ladies loved Frank too. We will definitely return and would recommend it.

If I could give 6 stars (out of 5) for this place I would! FAB FAB FAB place to enjoy a few hours of your life. There is nothing too much trouble for Danni & Jess (new tenants), very attentive and personable. Food is lovely! Beers and choice of wines/spirits great. Do yourself a favour and visit - you won’t be disappointed!! 👏👍😍

Gorgeous pub, love the decor! Had some asian pork belly bites, then a cheese and bacon burger to follow. It was delicious. The staff are so lovely and attentive. I will most definitely return. Good parking too, easily accessible. They're dog friendly too!

Went for the first time in a while. The food and service were great and the landladies are super welcoming and friendly. Awesome to have a fab local.

Called in this lovely pub with some friends. The pub is very clean and well presented. The 2 ladies who own the pub were very smiley happy people who instantly made you feel welcome . The staff were very nice too you can see they are happy in their work ( team effort goes along way ). We decided to stay and have lunch. Nicely cooked and well presented the food went down a treat will definitely be going back to try rest of the menu . We could of stayed all afternoon in this lovely decorative pub . What a fantastic place, just called in on the chance of food. It was brilliant, the staff were just finishing the food but kindly kept the kitchen open for us. The meals themselves were amazing will be calling in again .

I have been twice to a music night and it was a brilliant night and the staff were polite and friendly, definitely be going back.

We heard that the White hart were having live music as a welcome to the new owners .. as a group of friends that regularly meet up we decided to have a night out in Fernhill Heath . We were made very welcome on entering this lovely pub .. it was clean tidy and very friendly. The staff we polite locals welcoming and to say the new landladies were very nice and enthusiastic. We will definitely go back. Great night had by all Many thanks to the white hart

We popped in just before close and the staff were very welcoming despite being in the process of closing up. Good selection of drinks, including real ale, and nice interior. Hopefully we can come back again soon!

Hi readers.. I'm George from Fernhill Heath a 2min walk from the pub. No food being served at the moment!! A real disappointment because I wanted to take a friend there 16.7.2023 I wanted her to sample the chicken and hamhock pie,which is really really good. The food at the White Hart was 👍 good. Julie the landlady is moving on. I wish her well. Hope the sussessor is a good one and a new chef is appointed who is as good as the one which has left. I write all of this as feed back.. ..But went to post office at 2pm and the pub was closed, which contradicts the published opening and closing times,displayed on the website. I hope the pub does not go down the pan. Be a shame if it did. But in writing all of this..I suppose its non of my business what happens to the pub,neither is it my place to get embroiled in the politics regarding the management of the White Hart Pub of Fernhill Heath. Decor and atmosphere is much better under the new management. They had some music and a hot dog/cider stand on during the summer which was a blast. Also dog friendly which is a plus. They just need to increase the selection of local ales and ciders and it would be a perfect local pub we can go to each weekend!

Another delicious meal here. Great, friendly and efficient service with really tasty food. Prawns rather than the advertised king prawns (all a matter of perception I suppose) but excellent nonetheless.

I did not eat here so can't comment on the food 'tho the menu prices look pretty reasonable. The bar staff are attentive and friendly and the cost of drinks is competitive with other establishments.

Food much better than on a previous visit a couple of months ago. Steak was very tender and cooked just right.

Fish and chips not up to standard. Onion rings coated with thick very greasy batter Sausages and mash, sub standard, cheap and tasteless sausages. Overpriced and just not worth it. Won't be going there again!

Terrible food that's all been cooked in the microwave, do not waste your money as Jo Public are being ripped off yet again, the poorest, low quality ingredient's have been used...will never go the again. Plus there was no disabled toilets, had to squeeze into...

Visited the White Hart several times before the refurbishment and had good quality food. Visited it after refurbishment and it's very nice inside, however the food quality is not the same. Had Sunday lunch with friends, and we all choose from the Sunday roast menu....

Really quite poor… Despite booking well in advance and the pub being half full we were told on arrival that there maybe a wait as it’s busy? It really wasn’t… nearly 1.5 hours to get our starters. My daughters wings were charred and replaced with...

We attended the White Hart for a quiz night. Food was excellent plenty of choice and reasonably priced. Service was quick and the team were very polite and attentive. Very good choice of beers, real ale and lagers. HPA was superb. Would highly recommend this...

Great food but staff were rude. This may be due to manager not being there I don’t know but it’s always good when manager is there. Will only go if manager is there.

We booked in advance, with caution as had heard it had changed hands. We were pleasantly surprised. Excellant friendly service, superb Sunday dinner at a reasonable price. The new owners have improved this pub and we will return.

We visited the White Heart at Lunchtime as a party of 13. Having travelled for over an hour was looking forward to a great lunch. We were not disappointed. The food was delicious, the staff were helpful, respectful and interacted professionally. They Were All Tremendous
