I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Neville Arms, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The moment I stepped inside, I was impressed by the restaurant's immaculate presentation - it was clean, tidy, and inviting. The staff were warm and welcoming, making me feel right at home. Now, let's talk about the food. It was simply outstanding! Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The ingredients were clearly fresh and of high quality, and the chef's skill was evident in every bite. I couldn't have asked for a more satisfying meal. Overall, I can't recommend the Neville Arms highly enough. It's the perfect spot for a special occasion or a casual meal with friends and family. The combination of a lovely ambiance, friendly service, and exceptional food makes it a true gem. I'll definitely be returning soon!

We hadn’t been here since before Covid and was pleasantly surprised that the pub had had a make over and looked so bright and fresh . The food was amazing and we couldn’t believe the portion sizes for the price . We all agreed that this is now our go to pub for great food . The staff were also brilliant . Very friendly and helped me when I had a question .

We’ve just had a lovely meal at Nevill Arms. Our waitress was Ellie and she was very friendly and accommodating. Especially when we needed to move tables at short notice. We’ve been before and loved it. We’ll definitely be back again.

Had lunch today with my best friend and as usual the Nevill Arms never lets us down. A home cooked fresh food Menu is what you are looking for, and when Jaime is looking after you with a smile and warm welcome you have a very enjoyable Lunch time.

First trip to the Neville arms. 6 of us went for a birthday meal, ordered mains which were ok. Three of us decided to have desert. Half an hour after ordering desert nothing arrived so we went to find out where they were. 10 minutes later we are told very sorry but we're going to do the big table first then we will get to yours. Cancelled deserts and left. First trip to the Neville arms will most likely be the last

Over the past 12 months or so my sister and I have visited the Nevill Arms pub on many occasions. It is a lovely pub located in Astwood Bank Redditch. On entering the pub we are always greeted with a warm welcome by all of the friendly staff, in particular Jamie. All of the meals are cooked to perfection by Steve the head chef and presented and served well. I am so pleased with the meals and the service given and have booked the pubs function room for my up and coming birthday party. John and Jean

It had been a while since last visiting the Nevill arms, and the food and service has taken a turn for worse. Waited at an empty bar for ages. No acknowledgement from bar staff while waiting. Food was served in a reasonable time but the food was less than average. Hard roast potatoes. Overcooked carrots, which tasted like tinned carrots. Meat was dry and almost inedible. This was mentioned when the waiting staff came to check how our meal was,and to be fair they did offer a replacement but by that time we had pretty much finished. Fish and chips was OK but nothing to get to excited about. Maybe it was an off day and I'd probably give them another chance.

Warm welcome from staff that were extremely pleasant and helpful. Food was plentiful, well presented and arrived promptly. I’d recommend the Prawn Cocktail and Sea Bass which was superbly cooked by Steve the chef. Overall an extremely pleasant visit and one we will definitely make again.

Staff were freindly, food was not good. Meat was very dry, only ate as we were so hungry. When I say dry I mean it! Seemed like it was cooked in a microwave for 30 minutes. Chips were the only nice bit. Won't eat there again. Shame as seems like a nice place.

Overall a typical Village style Pub, food is slightly above average. Service is mixed sometimes it’s good sometimes it’s slow.

Expecting food that was better quality than it was after reading their website. Fish and chips £16.95 was just like a chain pub would serve. It was edible but very mediocre. Frozen fish which was not the best. Crispy batter was good though. Frozen chips. Inside the pub was a bit tired and could have done with the refresh and clean. The outside area is nice. The staff were efficient. Overall it was quite an average experience so very much doubt we will be going again.

I went for dinner here recently, probably the first time visiting in about 15/20 years! It's changed so much, and I was a little disappointed that there wasn't still an outdoor play area still, but the outdoor area is lovely and looks quite new with all the seated areas. The food was reasonably priced and good value for what it was. We initially sat inside and my 4yo struggles with sitting still and maintaining his excitement when we are out due to his additional needs. But I felt he wasn't hurting anyone when he was running about as it was pretty quiet to begin with and there was an additional route around for staff etc.. but as it got busier we decided to take him outside as I felt it was getting a little chaotic for him and some of the waitresses. Charmaine was really helpful, she showed us where to go and she also originally seated us and did ask if we wanted a different table as I feel she recognised his needs. 🥰 Charmaine was very friendly and polite and a lovely waitress.

Lovely food, attentive staff, nice atmosphere

Me & my friend meet up for a meal choose Nevill, how disappointed we both were, staff not very friendly, given menus but not told about in week offers 2 for £14.95 etc found out after we had eaten poor not to be told or told about specials etc & food well scampi & chips peas side salad the chips were burnt & soggy, peas were like bullets, scampi was cooked ok & salad can’t eat health reasons & my friend had curry cooked ok, I told waitress who said I’ll tell chef but never came back to me with apology not impressed, got bill & waited but nobody came with card machine so we sorted cash out as both annoyed & left at table I would not recommend this pub & won’t be returning. ☹️

Came back to eat after quite some time, food is still exceptional. Great service, staff were all pleasant and friendly. The only thing I could say is that the serving of chips with a burger was a little small. Served in a ramakin the same size as the coleslaw serving. Impressive service This is not my visit but for my neighbour, Brenda. She says she and her friends had a fantastic meal and she wanted to comment on two people in particular. The first person is Will. Will, she says could not do enough for her and her friends. They were all really impressed with his professionalism and friendliness. The second person she would like me to mention is Jamie. Brenda had accidently left her purse behind and Jamie called her to let her know that the purse had been found and was in safe keeping behind the counter. Really like this place. We did a group trip at Christmas and the staff were brilliant considering how many of us there were! Since then I've visited numerous times and never had an issue so will continue to return!

3 Course Meal was good value, Service was slow today. Over 2 hours between starter and Dessert. Did feel like we had been forgotten at times.

Been to the Neville many times but the last couple have not been the best. Four of us went for an evening meal. Food was okay except my sausage and mash , sausages okay but the whole plate was submerged in red cabbage and juice which meant you couldn’t taste the grave or the mash. Told the staff but smiled and went away. Staff generally lack personality, friendliness to create a welcoming atmosphere. Didn’t even say good night As I have said the other meals were okay and enjoyed. Give it a miss for a while.

I was 2 years ago and I was really disappointed with the food. but I tried to go there again and I was really surprised because the food was very delicious. I am changing my rating from 1 star to 5 stars. I will definitely come back more often.

Have been going to the Neville Arms for years and never had a bad meal, always excellent and the staff are a joy always very helpful especially Jamie who is so cheerful all the time. Would recommend anyone to go to this venue and enjoy the food.

Had a lovely meal here yesterday with amazing friends. Jammi and staff were excellent, makes such a difference having friendly staff looking after you!

From the minute we arrived, our lovely waitress, Jaime, looked after us so well. She was cheerful and friendly, gave us enough time to choose, checked in with us often and served the most delicious food! The menu was fantastic value for money and the atmosphere great!

Had dinner and then a few days later went back for lunch. Extensive menu with full a la carte or 2/3 course deals. Can recommend Cadbury creme egg pudding! Dogs allowed in one area of the restaurant. Service a bit slow but friendly staff.

It was lunch time on a Monday, quite busy so that's always a good sign. Friendly staff, good vibe . Had the lunch 2 course meal; good choice of food. Cooked beautifully and presented expertly. And the bill for 2 was very reasonable. Will come back again, when in the area.

How can you ruin a fish finger sandwich stale bread , out of date salad and cold chips awful. My mum had a prawn baguette . The baguette was that hard it would have broken your teeth .

Food was superb. Three of us had specials, the duck was beautifully cooked. The service was pretty poor. We had to go to find somebody to track down the drinks we had already ordered. This happened twice. It wasn’t a great experience.

Fantastic Service and fabulous food. Eat here quite often & decided to book last minute on Easter Sunday. Expected it to be hectic however it was the best service & meal we’ve had there. It looked pretty full but the staff seemed in total control & calm which made it all the more relaxing. The service was excellent, the bar staff who took drinks orders, the staff who took food orders wouldn’t be out of place in a Michelin restaurant. Will especially, was super polite and professional. We had 3 beef diners, 2 Mango curry’s and a piri piri hanging kebab skewer which is what we all went for and thoroughly enjoyed. The desserts were all fab too and all food came out together. Will be encouraging friends & family to visit

I have just enjoyed a delicious salmon salad. My first visit. Lovely place, nice staff. Will deffo be back! Back again today to this lovely pub with great customer service. I really enjoyed my sea bass fillets, in lemon sauce with sautéed potato's and brocoli. My friend also really enjoyed his fish and chips.

Been to the Neville loads of times and normally it’s good but this time food was below par. I had the chicken curry which was tasteless plenty of chicken but no curry taste at all and the narn bread was as hard as roof tiles. One of the worst curries I have had and definitely the worst meal I have had at the Neville Two of our party had the lamb secures , taste wish ok but really poor presentation look as if just chucked on the plate made to look big with loads of salad. It was my granddaughters 16th didn’t want to make fuss but very disappointed. The staff were good and the atmosphere fine but poor food not acceptable.

Great food and choice second visit, and it came up to expectations.

6 of us went for lunch, food was lovely, lots of choice, hot and nice big portions. Asked to swap peas for beans doe my daughyer and this was no trouble. Our server, Ashleigh, was very friendly and helpful and the service was quick and efficient.

After waiting over 40 minutes we finally found a staff member to ask what the hold up on our food was, only to be informed they had forgotten to put the order through. A free drink was offered as an apology which was greatly appreciated. Food/ Sunday lunch was average at best & over priced.

We went to The Neville Arms Friday evening. As soon as we arrived the team were so welcoming. Really lovely atmosphere, really clean and decorated lovely. The staff were attentive, polite and genuine. I had the fabulous steak pie and my hubby had the piri piri hanging chicken kebabs. Can I just say that I have not had a pie with so much meat in, which fell apart it was so beautiful and tender, it was soaked in the most gorgeous gravy, stunning 😍 I'm not exaggerating! The chicken pieces are really chunky, my husband could not talking about how lovely his dinner was. Thanks Chef! We didn't have to wait around for someone to come and get our drink orders. The waiting staff were wonderful. Honestly from start to finish we absolutely loved The Nelson Arms. It took me 25 mins from work to get there and 45 minutes to get home but it was worth it! Had a lovely time out at the Nevill Arms to celebrate a birthday! Everyone left feeling full after such a lovely meal. Visited the Neville Arms for Sunday lunch. It was a lovely experience from start to finish. A BIG thank you to our waiter Wil he was so attentive and nothing was too much trouble. A big asset to the team. I ordered the gammon and it was no problem to change from chips and salad to new potatoes and vegetables. All 3 meals were served hot and were cooked to perfection. Will definately recommend to friends and family.

Wanted to try this place for a while eventually got round to it today wish I never did,wasn’t a nice atmosphere staff wasn’t exactly welcoming waited 20 mins for 3 soft drinks just over 30mins for food, the chicken kebab wasn’t hot more warm and flavour less considering all the cold “marination” the Sirlion steak was poor quality meat for the price chewy and fatty the top of the steak was burnt on the top there was no seasoning to the steak no check back was conducted to check to see if the food was ok,upon telling the bar staff how poor the food was and I said I’d had a better steak at Wetherspoons she stood and laughed the one manager walked pasted us with out trying to apologise another manager came yes she apologised but didn’t try to rectify any of the issues to even try and attempt to get us to come back, I work in hospitality my self and the hospitality skills here is got to be one of the worst I’ve experienced such a shame as it’s a lovely looking pub

Really great food let down by poor service, us and the couple of tables in our section seemed to be abandoned by the serving staff even though it was only 3rd full if that. I felt sorry for the table behind us they waited over half an hour after being seated and no one came to even take a drinks order.

Great food rubbish service even though it was relatively quiet, if you forget its supposed to be table service and just go to the bar and order its ok.

11 of us out for a birthday lunch. Arrived and waited to be seated. No acknowledgement from any staff members as we stood there waiting. Eventually we were seated and given a menu. Went to the bar to order drinks, again waiting to be served or even a 'be with you in a minute' would've been nice. We got served 2 drinks and then asked us to be seated and they would bring the remainder of the drinks over, and advised us that maybe we should order drinks from our table next time rather than going to the bar. Food arrived, all came out together, hot and no complaints. We had nobody over to ask if everything was okay, nor to ask if we required anymore drinks. We tried to call somebody over as they were passing but were told 'i'm just doing this, i will get back to you in a minute'....they never returned. We then tried to call somebody over to clear our plates (as they had been sat there a fair while) and were told somebody would be with us in a minute.... again waited and were then not even acknowledged when they reached over for our plates. We also asked for plates for the birthday cake, which eventually came with no napkins or cutlery so this resulted in 2 family members using the packet tissues ( as we couldn't wait any longer) and we also had to light the birthday cake ourselves. To top it off we asked for the bill and waited for over 15 minutes. A family member then went to the bar asking again for the bill and he was informed that they were not aware of the request so then printed off the receipt and asked us to come back to the bar to pay! Can't complain about the food, but the customer service really needs some work. Was not made to feel welcome or thanked for custom. Shame really!

Pretty good food and the staff seem ok. But the manager is a plonker. So as long as you don’t have to deal with the bearded, shirt wearing bloke in the back office, then you can expect a perfectly ok pub experience.

Lovely place, clean and welcoming. Once inside we placed an order for drinks, 10 minutes later we asked where the drinks were, the waiter asked when did we order, as opposed to... I will sort it. The meals came out and were very nice, however getting more drinks was a case of trying to catch a waiter/waitress and another 10 minute wait, A little frustrating as the temperatures near the bar area was causing a bit of a sweat. Tripped on a pot hole in the car park (dark night) with heavy rain. I didn't want to cause a fuss so hobbled off.

Burns Night What a great evening. We had pipers playing bagpipes and verses relatimng to killing a Haggis (at least thats what I think it was). The food was fantastisd and as usual the staff were friemdly and professional. Well done guys, top job

Not good, my wife had a steak sandwich which she couldn't eat as the old saying goes (as tough as old Boot's).

Lunchtime is better than evening. Very friendly staff and can get a good breakfast at the weekend. Christmas lunch menu is good value.

A most enjoyable evening, superb food, staff friendly and very efficient and the atmosphere was wonderful, with so many other customers also enjoying the night. They coped well with a party of 24. The food came out steadily and was hot. The staff looked after us well.

Burns night at this place never fails to impress. Great atmosphere, great staff, even bagpipe players throughout the night. Add to that superb food as usual and great home cooked haggis and wellington in fact all the food adds up to fantastic value for money and a great night out with friends. Great effort all round.

Expensive for very underwhelming food. Overcooked and with the quality of something out of a packet. On top of slow service, I would give this place a wide berth.
