The Gate Inn in Wychavon

Just had amazing Sunday lunch. Home made steak pie was awesome, sausages really tasty, buttery mash and beautifully cooked veg. To top it off rich luxurious gravy, my husband would give 5 stars for that alone! Staff really lovely too. Well worth a visit but I would book as this menu is going to take off!!!

Visited the gate pub for a pint of course the owners so welcoming made you feel like family we tryed their homemade steak and ale pie and chips with peas pie and chips homemade excellent value for money and very yummy we also tried their steak and chips excellent once again we will be returning just going to book nearby caravan park

Second time coming for a carvery, food was delicious, puddings are amazing. Staff are lovely, there is a large car park. My own downfall was last time we came the deserts were written on a board and the staff wasn’t really sure what they was. One line said cheesecake and she wasn’t sure what kind it was, another just said fudge, I assumed it was fudge cake. However the time before that we had it all written on menus so I’m assuming this was just an issue on the day. I’d still return though. I’d love to see the back room extended somehow to create more space but the chairs are super comfy. We will be back soon.

When stopping at the caravan site up the rd , we always pop in to the gate for a couple . Landlord very friendly as are the locals . Not eaten in here but the Indian restaraunt adjoing smells lovely .

We were stopping just down the road for the weekend and popped in for a few drinks. The 2 ladies behind the bar were both lovely and the locals were welcoming and friendly. We booked in the next night for a curry which was the best curry I have ever had. Well worth a visit

My husband + I went to Wills Kitchen + Carvery at the Gate today. There was a choice of 4 meats (hubby had one of each) + a huge choice of veg, including gorgeous homemade roasties! We had the deal which included a choice of around of 7 desserts, for an amazing price of £15 pp. The staff were friendly + helpful + we will definitely be back!

best carvery around!!!! We could have a choice of 4 meats, beef lamb pork and turkey... Lots of lovely fresh vegetables.. And we could choose a delicious pudding all for £15 😋as we had booked before we went..... We will definitely go back😀

The Gate Inn @ Honeybourne. Just want to say we have just had a fantastic lovely carvery here with desert. Really enjoyed it 3 different choices of meat with different ranges of vegetables. Desserts were really lovely as well. Fantastic service at very good prices. Friendly happy service. Will definitely be back soon

This the first time we have visited The Gate Pub, booked for a Sunday Carvery. It was supposed to be a 3 meat Carvery, there was only 2 meats, which served small, there was a big variety of vegetables, but the sprouts, which are my favourite were sooo undercooked, they were inedible. The gravy like brown water. The atmosphere was cold and uninviting. Will never go there again.

Absolutely awful service. The owner was so rude to us. Questioned the price of a disarano and coke, (£8!) and explained it was a 40ml measurement. Though have since found out, this is legally incorrect as measurements have to be 25ml/50ml or 35ml/70ml. Explained it only comes in a 40ml serving at the Gate. The bar man was so rude, and it is not even a nice pub. Will avoid at all costs!

Came for Sunday carvery at Wills Kitchen at The Gate. The drinks are served in the pub and carvery in another room. The drinks were reasonably priced. Went into room for the carvery and shown to our reserved table. The carvery was well presented, it does not look much from afar but there is a wide variety of potatoes and vegetables with three choices of meat. The Yorkshire puddings and stuffing were tasty. Everything was hot and lots of choice. We had a pudding which was part of the deal currently on and these were scrumptious. I think this is a new venture for Wills Kitchen, it was an excellent carvery and comparable to established local pubs with a carvery. It is a small team running this but the service is good and personal.

A lovely new discovery in a local pub - a perfectly cooked Sunday lunch treat provided by Will’s Kitchen & Carvery. Between the four of us we sampled all three roasts: beef, turkey & pork, all served with options of meat stuffing or sage & onion, Yorkshire puds, home made roast potatoes as well as boiled new potatoes and a selection of at least ten other vegetables, with lovely rich gravy. Everything was perfectly cooked and hot. A really good meal which we’d thoroughly recommend. Lovely home made desserts too - we sampled two of the cheesecakes and the Dutch apple pie. Very reasonably priced soft drinks in the pub bar also. Extremely good value for money and excellent, welcoming customer service. We will be back! Thank you :)

Nice country pub, friendly landlords and customers. One thing is there are no real ales but plenty of choice of other beers and cider. They have catering that is run as a separate business run alongside the pub. I recently went with my wife and ordered from Will's kitchen and carvery, I had a steak, best I've had in a long while, probably one of the best. My wife had Cajun chicken which she really enjoyed, good prices too.highly recommend. Also the Moubourne indian restaurant and takeaway is very good again recommend . Definitely worth a visit.

This is a great friendly locals pub, Andy and Matt who run it are very welcoming and friendly. Good selection of drinks available, easy to park. Highly recommend a visit.

Fab place for a meal, great choice of food, great value for money, & cooked to perfection🙂. Lovely location, helpful, friendly staff, go out of their way to suit any request. Nothing is too much trouble. We ate off the main menu tonight, and are coming back on sunday to sample to carvery. If tonights meal is anything to go by, we won't be disappointed!

Spent 2 days here, Saturday and Easter Sunday. Really good and large lunches consist of pizza and well presented ploughman's which filled me up. Sunday we had roasts at the carvery and the standard plate was plenty big with various meats and lots of veg, roast spuds and Yorkshire's. Staff were really friendly and polite and I had a really good pint of pale ale which I think was tall trees. Would highly recommend

Great location just in walking distance from caravan site. Allows dogs and has an Indian restaurant attached to it. What more could you want. Oh and they have sky sports. The Ranch has missed a trick with not allowing dogs in the club house. Thank you The Gate and great food.

Went yesterday for hubby's birthday. Ordered food. What can I say but it was absolutely fantastic. Delicious food, staff are lovely. Jukebox on. All our guests had a fantastic time. Thank you so much for making his birthday special.

We used the take away service for a family gathering, one of whom lives nearby. The service was excellent, the food of outstanding quality wi.th very generous portions. We will use it again, as soon as we can.

Visited with colleague on Tuesdayfabulous pub the gaffers are so hospitable and the beer was lovely. So clean and friendly and for a Tuesday brilliant friendly atmosphere another visit is a must

We went a few days ago after it reopened and we met the very charming and chatty landlady. We are locals and were very impressed with the changes made during lockdown. We would certainly go there again.

Came here for a quick drink whilst staying in the local area. I wish we never to be honest. Tiny bar - not much of a selection of beers on tap. The second we walked in we realised its more for the locals rather tourists....

I’ve visited The Gate Inn a few times with friends.This is probably one of the filthiest pubs I’ve seen in the Cotswolds. The toilets, the general areas the bar it’s all dirty. The garden area for kids to play in isn’t much better also.They don’t have a good selection of spirits however have a decent selection of beer and larger.The one time I ate here I had a jacket potato with salad, not sure how they managed to make it so grim but it really was pretty mank, and it was a really small potato. However they have completely upped their game and the food here now is quite good! Especially their curry nights.The price of food is extremely good so you can’t realllly complain about it, but yeaah The pub is very chilled out environment. In conclusion it’s a great pub for drinking cider in the sun, not a great pub for much else

Don't know why it had me down as only one star previously, as I didn't do a review. Friendly pub with welcoming landlords. Good food with no frills at a very reasonable price. Beer prices one of the lowest around, especially happy hour 4 to 6 weekday most pints are £2:50.

Pub opened early for the rugby final. Just had a full english breakfast for £5.00. Fantastic value....the best breakfast i have had in a long time...WELL DONE

Been told many times how good the Sunday dinner is. Thought about time went and tried it. £10 a head but what a plate full. Lovely gravy and so much meat (beef). All the veg and accompniments were cooked perfectly. Will deffo be going back.

We are regular visitors to The Gate. The owners Jason and Martha have turned the pub around since taking over. Beers and kept well and a good selection of wines. The Sunday roast is to die for. Fantastic meat and cooked really well, by far...

Easy to recommend The Gate Inn in Honeybourne just outside Evesham. I wasn’t sure what to expect, pub grub can be a bit hit and miss. Not here though, I had myself a beef dinner with leek and cheese sauce that was to die for....

Friendly, helpful staff but but slow service & a dog was allowed to walk through the restaurant (luckily not while we were eating). The restaurant is also a bit on the dark side for me (I'd stay in the bar area for better light but...

We stayed at the caravan site up the road and decided to go for a walk. This pub has been refurbished in the last 12 months it's nice and clean. The staff were welcoming and friendly. It's reasonably priced. We sat outside on benches on...

Since Martha and Jason have taken over this pub they have turned it around. They are both friendly and welcoming,drink prices are very good. Although at the moment they don't do food it is well worth a visit (they will do next year sometime). Good...

Just to put things streight the gentle man went to the thatch not the gate the gate is a massive bar with only 2 bar stools the landlady doesn't like bar stools for one reason people sit at the bar and wont move sk there...

Nos alojamos en el parque de caravanas de rancho en Semana Santa y almuerzo reservada para lunes de Pascua. Éramos 6 y uno de 6 meses y un perro y todos estábamos muy bien acogida por la señora de detrás de la barra. Ella incluso comprar un recipiente de agua para el perro. La comida era muy buena, había una buena opción para vegetarianos para mi esposa también. Si pudiera calificaría este lugar más alto. Lugar encantador y volveremos cuando estamos al lado en el rancho.

Absolutely brilliant, the food was excellent it was 15 pounds each for a three course meal and a bottle of wine. The service was very good very attentive and quick I would definitely go again.

We went to All Things Wild and the food there is pretty bad,so we decided to look around for Sunday lunch and we found The Gate Inn only 1 min drive. Great food,great service Much recommend it.

Did not stay long enough to try the food out, very dark and dismal, no menus about , no other diners, small bar area load of locals [yokels] hogging the bar area.

Estábamos en busca de un lugar para cenar en día domingo del Padre cuando nos preguntábamos en. Los propietarios nos trataron como habíamos parado en su casa para el domingo cena y ayudó a que las comidas los niños sin comer. La decoración no ganará premios y no es artificioso, bueno.

A excellently refurbished pub with a great menu. The landlady and landlord are very welcoming with an excellent array of drinks on tap would definitely return!

What a suprise had the most amazing lunch, good value for money, quite busy but staff were really good, recomend

we were driving down to Cotswold's and saw the gate inn, decided to stop for a drink,we both had ales, must say the beer tasted good, line were clean and beer well kept,looked at menu boards and both had the home made burger, must say what a very good burger,served on a toasted brioche, with a bit of pinkness, smokey bacon and cheese,we also had the panaccotta with baiyles and mixed berries, just perfect wobble, not firm like most,also they do a deal eat for £5 and also a steak night on thursdays 2 for £15.the pub was very clean, recent redecorated its a little good pub what a find, sure they will do well.
