Had Sunday dinner and was very impressed. Huge portions. Lots of variety. Great service.

A great Sunday lunch, the staff were lovely and the food was fab. A great pub tucked off the main road with a cosy atmosphere.

Service was slow, and food not great for the price … the burrata starter was still partly frozen in the middle, the seabass main with rice was very dry (needed a sauce) & the beef shin had what tasted like cheap microwave mash potato. A disappointing meal unfortunately. Wouldn’t recommend.

We went here for a friend's 50th Birthday, the Buffet food was excellent, we are considering going back for a Sunday Lunch.

8 pounds for 2 pieces of normal sliced bread with a load of onion relish and a tiny bit of grated cheese... with a side pot of the same relish.. no wonder noone came put to ask us if everything was OK with our food...

I didn't eat here. I just popped in for a quick drink on a warm day. But I will be going back, what a lovely relaxed and inviting atmosphere.

Good understanding of gluten free food with a separate fryer and grill. Good selection of gluten free options. Very quiet when we went early evening. Service was good. Car park is small.

What a truly lovely pub, my wife and I went to the Fox and Hounds for lunch with our 5 grown up children to celebrate our youngest sons 21st birthday, the welcome warm and friendly, the atmosphere was delightful and the food was lovely, we will definitely be going back. Plus points… lovely olde works traditional pub with lots of character and cosy inside with stone floors. Staff pleasant and courteous. Nice place to be in. Negative points…. The menu is expensive leading to high expectations which are not met at all. I ordered the pizza but they had no dough left, so had the pasta in creamy mushroom sauce. I got a bowl of overcooked falling apart pasta with no noticeable sauce or mushrooms. It was tasteless. Yet cost £16. I could do better at home for under £2. I sent it back and had loaded fries with cheese and bacon topper instead. Cost £7. What arrived was a bowl of runny cheese sauce which contained some fries. Of course all the fries were soggy and wet. There was no bacon I could see. I’ve never known loaded fries which were not fries with a topper before. This was more like cheese soup with fries as croutons. I also sent it back as inedible. I gave up at that point. Food also took a long time to arrive…. 45 mins. Such a shame as it’s a nice pub let down by overpriced terrible food. Other people had other dishes which they thought were ok…so maybe I just got unlucky

This place is amazing, have been a few times and it never fails to disappoint. The staff are without doubt some of the best in the area, their customer service skills are amazing and they are always friendly. The food is great and reasonably priced. Keep doing what you are doing as it’s great and we always want to return

We are staying in the local area for the weekend, and booked a table at this fantastic local pub. The staff were very warm, friendly, and accommodating. Good choice of drinks, we had a bottle of fizz for £14 ( special offer) We ordered the tagliatelle and three small plates, consisting of Bree in breadcrumbs, nachos and chicken strips. The loaded fries topped with cheese and bacon are to DIE FOR 😋...Good price too around £20 per person which included a drink...100% recommend....

Four of us for a pre Christmas lunch. Sadly not like last year. Maybe the chef was off sick. It just lacked finesse. Carrots not properly prepped. Stalks and dirt still on. Cauliflower undercooked and cold when delivered. Christmas pudding like rubber. Service charming and courteous but very slow. Very few others having lunch. We will go again next year as I'm assuming this was a one off. I hope so.

Welcoming pub, dog friendly. Small range of beers, the Doddington beer was not really to my taste. We had a lunch of small dishes which were tasty but not special. Others having proper lunches seemed to be enjoying their meals. Lovely old pub, nice staff and an en suite staffie!

We recently visited The Fox & Hounds at Bredon for lunch with some friends. The quality of service was excellent with the staff being very polite and attentive. The quality of food was excellent and reasonably priced. A very pleasant atmosphere. This was our first visit and we shall certainly be visiting again.

Beautiful pub, felt really cosy. The staff were so friendly and attentive. I had the pie of the week (steak and ale) and it was delicious, packed with lots of yummy steak and the potatoes were divine! Highly recommend!

Staff lovely, carvery disappointing. Carrots not edible, rock hard, stuffing was burnt little balls. Very little veg, roast potatoes barely cooked. Paid for large and had 1/2 slice turkey extra. Will not return I’m afraid.

Found the Fox & Hounds on a google search whilst looking for somewhere dog friendly for an evening meal not too far from our accommodation in Defford. Could not possibly have picked a more lovely, local, historic public house run by very competent and friendly staff who provided us with very good food and service. Overall with the ambience, we had a lovely evening and would highly recommend this pub.

What a brilliant meal for a big party. Whilst, due to the party size, we pre-ordered our food everything was homemade. I had the lamb and honey pie of the day, which Jack, the chef, kindly let our party choose. The pie could not have been stuffed with anymore meat, so yummy. Another party member had the faggots which were large and very tasty plus they kindly changed the vegetable selection to accommodate their dietary needs. The ice cream for pudding was just the right amount to finish off a delicious meal. The staff could not have been more pleasant and accommodating. What a lovely pub, shame it’s a little too far to become our local!

Had a lovely birthday pub lunch there. The lasagne was amazing, served with ample of chips and some nice salad. Sauces came in plenty and no service cost charged. Can find some nice local lager as well. Will definitely visit again when in the area!

Came here as a party of 13 to celebrate a significant birthday. They had set aside an area for our party and the service was first class. The staff remembered the orders well and were happy to make the little changes to the dishes as requested. The portions were well sized - not too full to leave you stuffed - and very tasty. The staff were even happy to take family photos for us. Thank you for making it a good day

Booked in for a meal at last minute. The pub is a beautiful thatched building which stays true to its features but still modern inside. The staff were super accomadating, we had super fast service, and very friendly and cheerful. The menu was a classic menu which we picked lasagne and the gammon and chips. The portions were large in size so you get great value for money. Our meals were tasty, the only thing that I would say is the lasagne was a touch overcooked on the edges but that was my only complaint. For desert we had the cinnamon crumble and rum and raison icecream. You need to try the crumble is was so good! All in all if you are looking for quality food at reasonable prices I would definitely reccomend.

Friendly courteous and attentive staff. Good food at reasonable prices and large portions. Very good value. Low beamy bar eating area. A very good place for a party. Parking is a bit limited and busy when the school next door comes out.

Very poor food, awful meat most of it it was over cooked as was the veg, plus some of it was look warm, the only nice part of the meal was the roast potatoes. Will not be returning, not like it used to be. -10!

I took a French customer here for lunch and we came away thoroughly impressed. Outside the pub looks fantastic, with some lovely hanging baskets and containers brimming with flowers. My French customer thought it looked exactly how he imagined an English pub should. Once inside we were promptly shown to a table and found the menu very interesting with its Sri Lankan inspiration. Our meals were brought out in good time and we thought they were excellent. Very tasty and generous in size too. Service was exemplary. I'll definitely be heading back to try some more dishes from the menu!

Excellent food - veggie cashew curry and steak were superb with lots of flavour. We had an excellent time!
