We just dropped in for a drink after a long walk. Didn't do tea or coffee but a wide range of soft and alcoholic drinks at a good price. Nice relaxed atmosphere with TV showing sports.

We were visiting Alcester and popped in to The Bear for lunch. It's a characterful building, the food was very good and reasonably priced and the service was exceptional. They also offer a seniors menu, which seemed good value, although we didn't order from it. Recommend.

We absolutely love this place, so quickly. Menu is limited, but that fine for a cafe, a bit overpriced for what it was, but again lovely environment. We shall miss it it. We were going to try their sister cafe in Stratford, but we have found there's an ongoing issue with the booking system, so we have given up hope on visiting.

Came with a friend. Waited moments for a free table ( there are many inside & out) chose our food went to the till to order. I had a goats cheese salad which was delicious. Service was very good and all staff seemed very happy. The gift shop has some lovely gifts & cards too. Didn’t venture into the farm shop/ butchers / veg shop.

I eat in this restaurant every four or five weeks with a friend from junior school. I admit that having been hospitality trained I am something of a nightmare customer. The new menu includes a game starter and a game main course. I couldn’t resist trying both. The wood pigeon starter was well presented very tasty, but the meat was really tough and a steak knife might have helped. The venison loin main course was also well presented, but was also a little on the tough side, and again, a steak knife was appropriate. The establishment has a voucher system whereby one voucher is given for each main course purchased, and six vouchers can be used towards purchasing a main course. Unfortunately, the vouchers attract the discount they did five years ago, £12.50, nowhere near today’s price of the cheapest main course. The service was excellent and Katherine looked after us very well.

Saturday 8th February 2025, we went out with Liz and Jason to celebrate my husband's Belated Birthday at ‘The Wheatsheaf’ in Coleshill. We arrived for 7.00pm and were shown to a very nice table in a cosy corner, which was nice. We looked at the menus and then the waitress came to take our order for food and drinks. We drank passion fruit spritzer, larger, bitter and rose wine with our meal. We all went to the help yourself salad bar and we all got bowls of salad and bread rolls as our starters and we talked and chatted and caught up on news whilst waiting for our main courses. The food when it arrived was very hot and well presented. Liz and Jason for their main course had wing and wave combo of half a rotisserie chicken, 8oz rump steak and tempura king prawns served with chips, rainbow coleslaw and hot honey drizzled corn bread. My husband had half a rotisserie chicken with BBQ sauce and served with sweet corn and sage and onion French fries. I had the BBQ chicken stack of chicken topped with back bacon and Monterey Jack cheese & BBQ sauce and served with chips, rainbow slaw and hot honey drizzled corn bread which was very nice. We all had desserts; Liz and I had the mini dessert with coffee afterwards, (which was ice cream with a toffee sauce & lemon sauce for Liz). Jason had the Rocky Road ice cream sundae, which was huge. My husband had the apple pie served with hot creamy custard. Liz and I had a Bailey’s latte coffee and a cappuccino afterwards. Unfortunately, I felt the New Menu, was very much like the old one and I must admit I found the choice for me limiting.
