A great relaxed atmosphere. A brilliant breakfast. I had the regular breakfast and the fried bread made my day! Loved the coffee too .

Popped in on Sunday, with a group of friend, 7 of us. Had a latte and coffee & walnut cake. Both were delicious; amazing bit of cake, coffee was lush, great sized portion Cafe was full and had a great atmosphere to it. A gem on the highstreet

We absolutely love this place, so quickly. Menu is limited, but that fine for a cafe, a bit overpriced for what it was, but again lovely environment. We shall miss it it. We were going to try their sister cafe in Stratford, but we have found there's an ongoing issue with the booking system, so we have given up hope on visiting.

Came here for a Sunday roast while staying in the town for a weekend away. I’m pretty fussy with a Sunday Roast and can safely say this was up there with the best I’ve had! Beef was cooked to perfection, veg and sides were all delicious. Lovely Easter dessert for the kids. Staff were all very friendly and accommodating and there was a great selection of beer and wines. The pub itself was lovely and cosy with a very cute little courtyard at the back. We hope to return to Alcetser and will definitely be back to the Royal Oak!

Lunch visit on Mother’s Day. Two beef lasagnes with chips and salad. Lovely, hot, beefy, cheesy lasagne with a crisp and fresh salad and crispy chips with fluffy insides. We sat in the large room but there is plenty of seating. The bar stewardess/waitress is a sight to behold. She does so much and manages to serve drinks, take orders and deliver orders. A great asset to the pub. The food here is really wonderful with very large portions. The tables, crockery and cutlery are clean. We have never had a bad meal here and I’d strongly urge people to visit. It’s very suitable for families, couples and at lunch time you can almost always get a table. The prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend the lasagne but be careful as it’s piping hot. It’s easy to walk past the pub and miss what is inside. There is a comfortable seating area of you don’t want to eat. Just had the most wonderful evening with friends for my 60th birthday. There were 16 of us...Andrew took such good care of us..very professional & attentive. Superb food all brought out together.. excellent quality!! A massive thank you. Everyone was impressed 👏

Came with a friend. Waited moments for a free table ( there are many inside & out) chose our food went to the till to order. I had a goats cheese salad which was delicious. Service was very good and all staff seemed very happy. The gift shop has some lovely gifts & cards too. Didn’t venture into the farm shop/ butchers / veg shop.

Great pub, good food, good beers available. Friendly and accommodating service. Were happy to work out the menu to cater for my parties uncommon food allergies with no fuss.

We turned up for lunch today without a booking and we were so impressed with how organised the service is. Monica managed to find us a dog friendly table, and our drinks were delivered within 10 minutes. The food was delicious and Caitlin who served us was so efficient and friendly. Can’t remember when we’ve had better service! A thoroughly enjoyable lunch!

I fear for this place. It has a lovely bee garden and the staff are friendly. Traditional beers and ciders , crisps and even some home made sandwiches. Pubs are closing in their hundreds. I really hope they can keep going.

Good location with a good sized car park. Perfectly ok room However, a very peculiar ‘herbal plant’ smell through the corridors….

Awful service from the “cooks”, I would say chefs but that’s pushing it. Ordered tapas and when the calamari came it looked like it had been kicked around the kitchen. Way to over cooked, I literally bit into it and it was like silicone, I asked for another because it was over cooked and the “cook “ said no, ( I think they had been binge watching Gordon Ramsey) I was told that they cook it the same every time, that’s funny because I must have missed your cooking “skills “ in my previous visits. Then had to fight for half an hour for them to get the bill right and at first they said I couldn’t use my blue light card. Seriously shocking
