First of all, let me make it quite clear that this is not a bad place to eat. I was tired and had travelled from afar to get to the Kings Court Hotel nearby, and an internet search made me decide to choose the Moat House over my hotel restaurant. It just doesn't push enough buttons to deserve a really good write up unfortunately. My first impression was favourable, I managed to get a really good glass of Australian Chardonnay without breaking the bank, a rarity in these days of Pinot Grigio and multiple incarnations of Sauvignon Blanc. But my crab starter arrived within a minute of ordering, and had clearly just been pre-prepared and subsequently taken out of the fridge. Far too cold, and despite waiting for a few minutes, the juiciness of the crab didn't shine through. My 'wood-fired' cod didn't hit great heights either, I was unable to discern the difference between 'wood-fired' and 'baked in the oven'. It was underseasoned, the accompanying asparagus was slightly overcooked, and I skipped dessert and left with a feeling of disappointment. The place is alright, the staff are pleasant and attentive, but for goodness sake sharpen up on the cooking, because at the moment it's amateurish at best, and not worthy of the prices charged.

Last weekend we held a 50th birthday party in the gunroom and front garden, I have to share the experience as I feel the moat house went above and beyond with exceptional service! First to Tom, Carlson, Taylor & Lotty, a big thank you for your service on the evening, all of our 80 plus guests have fed back wonderful comments on the evening. The food was amazing, nothing was too much trouble allowing us to bespoke our menu to suit our needs. We decorated the room and the Moat house were very accommodating in allowing us to do so prior to our evening. I would have no hesitation to recommend anyone booking a special event to book the Moat House, they really do go the extra mile! Thank you Team Moat House in making our event extra special and providing us with the best 50th event ever!

Lovely ambience, good service and delicious food. One of my favourite casual dining spots close to home. I love their daily specials and once had a really memorable cod curry that I would love them to bring back.

Disappointing Father’s Day’s lunch. Seated at a not particularly clean table, served the wrong wine in a chipped glass, zero customer service. Poor roast beef with an over cooked Yorkshire pudding. There were only 3 of us and we felt the staff were more interested in the larger tables to serve. At payment time, it was a very quick transaction again with no enquiry as to how our meal was. Needless to say, I didn’t leave a tip. Wouldn’t recommend and a bit upset for my husband as this was a Father’s day’s treat.

I am no stranger to the Moat House!! :) So I recommended to my work to come here and I booked the Ragley room, for a colleagues leaving meal and drinks, especially as it was the first Live Music Thursday of the summer! The weather let us down, but this was no problem, the music was set up in the Gun Room. There were 9 of us. All had Pizza 241 and lots of cocktails, drinks. 1) Food Fabulous as always 2) Service Superb, never had a bad experience, and great again tonight 3) Music was brilliant! What an amazing young man, so much fun, and really entertaining 4) Last to leave, but staff are great at informing last drinks and accommodating us, so didn't feel rushed at all. As a summary, a Thursday night out for 9 people, ended up, in everyone saying what a wonderful time they had had at the Moat House, and that they would all defiantly return. I totally recommend the live music, and even if the weather isn't great, these nights are still fab, inside!

Lovely traditional pub interior design is welcoming and has a great outdoor space for the summer. Drinks are expensive food I would say is average and expensive for what you get, staff can be hit and miss some are lovely some don’t seem want to be there.

Moat house Alcester Well what can one say !!! years of working in customer facing business and operations, teaches you that its not just the quality of product or the service that you provide, its the people and the team that they form, that makes it. The Moat House at Alcester has nailed it, the food produced by the kitchen is the quality product, the drinks, vast in range, efficiently served with a caring smile all seamlessly delivered with that personal touch, made what was a very special celebration into an extraordinary event. Whomever owns and manages this establishment has a centre of excellence with that personal, nothings a problem touch. Just a great big thank you to all who were involved, from initial contact, booking the event, through to its delivery, it was a breeze from my perspective 🤗🤗🤗 Thank you one and all, for all that you did🤗🤗if you are planning an event GO HERE you won’t be disappointed 🤗🤗

Good location off the A435. Nice environment with all the wooden beams (if you go round to the bar side). Staff were really friendly and professional. Food tasted good and was well priced. (Two lunches with drinks came to about £35). There was also plenty on offer. I noticed they're in the same chain as The Queen's Head in Stoke Pound, and the Barraset Barn in Tiddington (two other favourites of mine), which explains why the menus are similar. Will definitely come back.

Horrible wet night but the place was busy.Staff very welcoming and showed us to a table in the bar area as we had our dog.Service throughout was efficient without being stifling all done with a smile.Menu was excellent and food superb, my wife's gluten allergy was dealt with without any issues and she had a great evening.Overall a great evening and l would highly recommend.

We were driving by on our way to a different pub for lunch when we passed by The Moat House and decided to stop as it's a lovely looking pub.The staff were friendly and welcoming even though we hadn't booked. We decided to eat in the bar area which was a bit quieter than the restaurant and while it was really beautiful it did feel very cold in the chilly May weather which made we wish we had chosen the restaurant.The food was delicious, good sizes. It was nice to be back inside a pub and all the staff clearly felt the same.

Visited the Moathouse for lunch with two friends. What a great experience, from the minute we arrived we felt super safe and extremely welcome. The food was fresh and very tasty. We shared pizzas and some little bites and tried some of the great range of mocktails (and a couple of cocktails) All the food was cooked perfectly and came out on time. The service was efficient and at no point did we feel rushed, our 2 hour slot was perfect. We can’t wait to return.

First meal out post lockdowns and what an absolute treat!!!!! A real effort has been made to make the outside areas special, lots of blankets and heaters available, but do remember it is still outside in April so a coat is probably a good idea if the sun isn’t out! Food delicious, we had wings, a pizza and a burger, shared everything and washed it down with a bottle of wine!!! Staff were a delight. Service excellent! Well done all, a fabulous adaptation to the current restrictions of outside only! Highly recommend! We will be back!

We were looking forward to our first meal out after lockdown and chose the Moat House as we have previously had lovely food there. Although the staff were welcoming, the food was really disappointing. Both our main courses had meat that was dry, over cooked, verging on burnt.

My husband and I visited Alcester and the Moat House recently as part of our anniversary celebrations. The vibe at this restaurant is electric and the food second to none. We had a lady called Lucy serving us and she was fantastic catering to our every need, a far cry from our hotel stay at Kings Court Hotel. I highly recommend a dinner here if you’re in the area.

The staff are welcoming and the covid secure system is well run. I had the fish and chips. It was ok, but sadly it as good as a certain pub in Alcester High Street, where the bar is set high.Main gripe was it was £19.30 for 2 glasses of wine. Admittedly they were large, but still!This venue only does small or large glasses, which isn’t ideal if drive as the small is “small” and barely fills a hollow tooth, and the large too large to have and drive. My wife has complained about not having a medium on the menu before without any joy.

Welcoming and hospitable, extremely friendly and staff are extremely attentive. Service was amazing, food was excellent! A cosy and vibrant place highly recommend a visit. Dog friendly and we felt extremely comfortable as well as welcomed on all fronts. Keep up the good work guys!

Return visit to the Moat House felt very safe with the track and trace and all staff and other customers wearing masks.Had local venison on the specials which was lovely, loved how proud the staff were that it was local. Treated myself to a cookie dough for dessert was lovely. Service was friendly and didn’t feel to rushed when asked for last orders just before 9:40 due to the curfew.

Dined at the Moat House this Saturday had friendly and fast service, never felt rushed they called last orders and made service we were rushed out the door at the curfew.The food was of its usual good standard, we had a few glasses of red wine served at the right temperature. Lovely experience as normal!

Visited with friends while staying in area. Lovely staff and delicious lunch. Pizzas were great and pretty good vegetarian choice. Sat outside, very pleasant area with pergolas and even a teepee!!

I had a pizza with three extra toppings for which I had to pay an additional £6. This covered a slither of a slither ham, four teeny pieces of pineapple and four slithers of red pepper. I should have sent it back but we were celebrating with family so didn’t want to sour the evening. Next time I will take a photo as this was the second time I have experienced this poor quality.Service was great though and everyone else enjoyed their food, so please review the quantities that £2 buys you Moathouse.

We had a few meals here while staying in the area and I can thoroughly recommend this restaurant. The staff are friendly and the food is wonderful. The pizzas are fantastic, even the gluten free ones.

Had a gathering the other week in the teepee with afew friends after work and they let us order food out there! It was brilliant was like being in our own restaurant! Excellent service and lovely atmosphere out there

Had an amazing time with family and friends. Beautiful garden area and felt very safe, as we had drinks outside and moved inside for a meal. Staff are very attentive and service was excellent. The food was amazing(The Seabass and the Cheesecake were incredible) A Great atmosphere, would highly recommend the visit. Will be returning more frequently.

Great evening at the Moat House, walked into the bar for drinks! Service was quick and friendly with a choice of table service or app ordering.We came during happy hour so we got some really great value drinks and really enjoyed the new “Haus” beer they had on tap. A firm favourite for drinks in my friendship group!

Awful.... so staff referring to customers as c@@k suckers is allowed??? Yes i saw this with my own eyes on a bill i was not meant to see. I will never return to this place after being fobbed off with a bottle of Prosecco for a homophobic statement. Truly disgusting behaviour and a spineless manager

Recently made an online booking to dine at the Moat House, was simple to use had a call from a friendly young lady to confirm the booking and requested a window seat. Arrived was met by a friendly man who sat us down and talked us through the drinks and specials for that day.Fillet of beef was cooked fantastic, my partner had the fish and chips which was a good size and nice lightly battered. The Eton mess was very good lots of cream and fresh strawberries always a classic.Well kept beer, tables well spaced out and staff were friendly but kept a safe distance. Excellent venue felt very safe and with the eat out discount the bill was unbelievable value.

The prices are extortionate. The meals we had certainly did not warrant the price. Fish was not much bigger than a sprat, 1/2Chicken was missing most of the breast. Really disappointed. Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere

I popped into The Moat House on a Monday evening on my way home with my mum. We were told that there was no way we could eat as they would be busy later but we could only get drinks so we left as we were in search of food. However, half way across the car park a waitress came out and told us we could have some food if we ordered quickly before they got busy. This was the best decision we made because the food was incredible, the waitress (Ally) was extremely lovely & very helpful so made our experience 100x better. I would recommend this place to anyone as the atmosphere is perfect for couples and families. There is also a large menu so there is something for everyone.

Big portions but still feels a little over priced for the quality - pizza looked good and the half chicken was nice but nothing amazing. The ambience is lovely though and our waitress was very attentive - will probably go again to try some other options off the menu.

Food was amazing as usual. Couldn’t fault that at all.The staff were friendly, until we had to ask for a jug of water 4 times. It was a really hot day so just needed some. Eventually we got it and we were asked what staff we had spoken too.Next thing you know is the member of staff who was very friendly to start with came to take out payment and had a face on her and came across very rude. Also apparently there was no mayonnaise left yet we saw a lot of mayonnaise coming out when we were eating deserts.

Visited with a couple of friends for a post-birthday meal. There was nothing particularly bad, the food was nice, just not amazing and there are so so many other (better) food options close by. Quite disappointed to see that none of the staff were wearing any sort of face-covering while delivering food to tables, have kind of come to expect it at this point. There are some tables separated with a clear screen, however we were on a table fairly close to others. We did think about asking to move but as the table next to us was leaving anyway decided not to. The service was quite slow, it wasn't that busy, but the staff were friendly enough.Just feel like for the price that they're charging you can get a better experience nearby.

Visited the Moat House, had fantastic service and loved how “normal” it felt. The staff were sanitising the tables and hands, they weren’t wearing face coverings but always kept there distance! It was lovely to talk to the manager about how they want to make the customers feel safe and welcoming. Pizza was cooked lovely and the hake was lovely! Drinks were brought over using a tray and this was a nice way to make us feel safe.

Visited with the family last night the first time I had been, was ok but have been to a lot better restaurants lately and felt a lot safer. Firstly during the current situation my personal safety is a priority, the tables were well spaced out so you didn’t feel cramped at all. The one thing that struck me was none of the staff and there were plenty of them, were wearing any sort of face coverings. I thought the menu was very limited and quite pricey, I had the fish and chips at £13 plus which was ok but nothing special for the price. One of the family had a pizza again at £13 plus again nothing special. We sat outside and there were a lot of diners so it must be a very popular place hence the prices I suppose. Don’t think I would visit again out of choice but on the whole we had a good night as the staff were very friendly.

Having visited nearby Coughton Court National Trust gardens, on the spur of the moment we phoned to reserve a table and this turned out to be a very good decision. A professional, friendly greeting was the start to a really enjoyable lunchtime experience. Tables are nicely spaced to make one feel quite safe, but staff were not wearing facemasks. Our server, Nina was excellent and took our pre-lunch drinks order while we pondered the menu. My pint of Doombar Atlantic was perfect and my wife enjoyed one of a selection of rosé wines. Plenty of selection on the menu for starters and main course and also deserts (although we didn't have room to try on this occasion). We had a sharing plare for staters and this was excellent. My wife's sea bass was cooked to perfection and I had a most enjoyable double burger with added bacon & cheese. Unbeknowns to us, this establishment had registered for the government's "eat out to help out" scheme, so we had the very pleasant extra bonus of a £20 discount on the bill thanks to the Chancellor of the Exchequor! A very enjoyable lunchtime and would certainly recommend this establishment.

Excellent food and Covid safe environment. We ordered fishcake with hollandaise, spinach and poached egg as a starter, it was a great size and very tasty, the poached egg could have done with a little more cooking but was runny and tasty. For mains we had half chicken with sauce, homemade slaw and skin on fries, the chicken was moist and plentiful and sea bass with spinach, hollandaise and new potatoes though substituted for skin on fries, there was plenty of fish and was really nice, from the kids menu crispy chicken fries and peas, good portion size and was tasty. Clear screens between closer tables and others well spaced out. Plenty of room outside also.

Fantastic bar experience, the moat house was very welcoming to a group of us for drinks! We used the app to order drinks and this was easy to use. The staff dropped off the drinks via a tray and then stopped back while we collected them off the tray. We will be revisiting the moat house again!

Great post-Covid come back! Omg food was top-notch and service impeccable. Great settings, the Poke Bowl a must try! Fresh, fabulous ingredients and great flavours. Thanks guys. Will be back. 😇

We went last night for my surprise 50th birthday. It was our 1st time in a pub since lockdown so were a bit apprehensive. All was good. The service we recieved was first class, especially Jess who went above and beyond. The food when it came was amazing, presentation wise and taste beautiful. Price, well i cant comment as i wasnt allowed to pay being my birthday, all in all we had a great experience and would definitley be back

Take Away Beer & Pizza. We went last weekend to the Moat House for some pizza and beer as a take away! Pizza was cooked perfect and the two guys working were friendly and happy to talk to us about reopening when we asked them a million questions! It was a really nice touch to open the pub for the weekend was almost like getting back to normal! Table booked for the 10th when they re open!

We went to the Moat House on Sunday with our two dogs after booking in the bar area, we were greeted at the bar with a friendly hello and nice atmosphere of people enjoying themselves. We were shown to our table and recommended the roasts, they didn’t disappoint the meat was cooked lovely and the roast potatoes were light and fluffy. Bread and butter pudding and coffees followed which were great. Staff came over and brought water for the dogs and offered the dogs treats a really lovely touch. Can’t wait to come back again in the summer and enjoy the garden.

My husband arranged a surprise Birthday meal for me at our favourite local The Moat House! A very safe choice of venue, I thought on arrival! We love the food and service is always super friendly. My birthday celebrations were held in The Gun room, a private dining area on the front of the moat house with it's own bar! Service was wonderful all night, quick to serve at the bar and meals delivered quickly and at the same time! Special thanks to Yaaa/Carlson for his attentive service and co-ordinating seamlessly! Nothing is ever too much trouble, delivered with a smile. He is an absolute credit to The Moat House, as are many of the other staff... and I've seen them deal with my beyond hard to please step father! All to their credit. Thank you for the delicious food, great service and overall atmosphere!

Nice place but seating a bit cramped. Some meals were good but others not so good. For example the cod with chorizo and new potatoes was a very small portion for my husband. Could have done with some veggies being served with it. Would have been useful to have had a menu marked up with gluten free food that I could have rather than being given an allergen menu with virtually everything marked up as having gluten in it.Was told if I chose something they would be able to tell me if it could be made GF - what a fuss and lazy- just had the one thing which didnt have gluten in it. Service quite good.

This was the 3rd visit over the last few years. A great place to meet family.The service is good and friendly. The food is excellent and very reasonable.We didn't feel rushed. If we had to be picky, the black coffee isn't great. But the latte and flat white is. We will definitely be returning!

We booked ahead for a lunchtime get-together for various family members, ranging from grandparents to a 1-year-old. The restaurant coped happily with last-minute changes to the numbers coming, and with widely varying menu choices. The food was excellent, and the staff were cheerful and efficient. A very good result.

My partner and I have just enjoyed the most delicious Jerk Chicken, cooked by the wonderful Uddip. It was delicious!! Highly recommended just for the pizzas alone. We received very friendly service from Laura too.

Went for lunch with my mum on 04/03/20 at midday.Entered via the restaurant door and was asked if we preffered that or the bar. having chosen the bar area we were shown to a table of our choosing by a young guy in a 'interesting' shirt....more on him later when it comes to service.We where then approached by a young lady named Libby to ask about drinks and food. Took the drinks orders which came quickly. Asked for 5-10mins to decide on food which she gave us. Not too pushy and not a "I'm not bothered," employee. Had a laugh over our food choices and even though we didnt take her up on it she did say through her own experience the pizzas were great...especially the duck one!Caesar salad for me with a twist and steak for mum. Both served to perfection.Libby was great with us before, during and after our meal so we would like to say a special thanks to her. It made our day. As for the guy with the 'interesting' shirt, he took his time out to see us to our tabl and was more than polite. he then as we left moved away from his spot to open the door for my mum as we were leaving and offered us a Good Day.I can only go on what I have experienced so some of the other reviews maybe 100% correct, but from me and my mum I can only say thanks to the whole team working on the food as it was great. Also thanks to Libby and 'interesting' shirt man (wish I got his name but i'm sure you know who I'm talking about!)Keep up the good work!

Do not go here if you have a gluten intolerance they do not know what they are doing. Service is awful, waited an hour and half for starters, wrong drinks arrived three times. Under staffed inexperienced staff. Resulted in one guest being ill for several days, emailed them no response whatsover. AVOID

Great food and welcoming team at the Most House. Four of us plus the dog met for a meal. Our server was friendly and engaging sharing pictures of her pet dog back in Australia. We spoke about the dogs and ordered our meals. Lovely food and an ideal atmosphere for a catch up with friends. Good value with nice range on menu. Look out for weekday two for one offers before 6pm. Definitely recommend this eatery. Outdoor areas at both front and back with plenty of seating.

We Went to the Moat house for a 40th b,day meal the decor is very oldy Worldy and quite dim inside but a good amosphere ,the menu I thought was little pricey ,this would have put me off if just looking for somewere to eat ,however the meal was very good and good portion size which is always a winner with me as I like value for money ,I don't mind paying a bit more if you get a good meal and good portion size, there was about 30 of us so we had pre ordered which helped for smooth service ,we sat in a seperate area ,and we were well,looked after by the staff the meals came just at the right pase so for me initially I thought howwwwmuchhhh but a good time was had by all, and I was happy to pay ,but on saying this its. It's a little pricey but nothing extravagant so all in all I would go again , I think it would make a nice pub go to on a nice summers afternoon

Brilliant time was had for my wife's birthday celebration. Excellent choice of food and drink, great services throughout. Would highly recommend for any occasion. Special thanks to Luke who couldn't do enough for our party of 20. Will be revisiting soon.

When entering the restaurant advised them I needed gluten free food.

Arriving at 11.45 we were the first in the restaurant. It took until 12.30 before our drinks arrived with one drink missing and a further 20 minute wait for that drink to arrive. Order are taken and again there was a long wait and the staff were unclear about what was being delivered and also not as we had ordered. However the food was good and resonable portions.

Excellent well cooked food in a lovely restaurant. Excellent selection on menu. Tables are a little close together but didn’t put us off. The wine selection was good and tasted as expected. Good parking and clean toilets. Service lacked personality and wasn’t the quickest.

Called in for a meal early on a Saturday evening, had to wait until 5.30 which was surprising for a Saturday evening, however the food and service were excellent and I would definitely recommend this restaurant

We arrived at 5.30 with 2 older children and 2 adults and were sat in an empty restaurant at the very furthest corner next to another family with a very young child. I don’t understand why we were sat here, given that the restaurant was very quiet. The tables were so close together that we couldn’t have an enjoyable meal as the baby next to us was very loud and we couldn’t talk. Not anyone’s fault, but don’t just shut us in a corner as we have children. Food was nice, pizzas were hot and fresh. Service was slow. Waiting 15 minutes for a drink is too long

Had the most amazing night tonight thanks to Tanya and her lovely attentive staff!! Room absolutely beautiful, Food gorgeous!! And service ... wow .. absolutely brilliant and professional. My 18 year old loved her party 🎉👌🥂🍾

Ended up here by as it turns out pure luck! The food was delicious- we had two courses each and neither of us had a negative word to say. Thank you to the chefs especially as it was a busy service Also very good value for money!

We arrived on the evening of the 24th of December, and were surprised to find anything open, this is what these days is called a gastro pub, it is large and a little noisy. We were served by a very charming young lady who will do well in this industry, we could not have asked for more personal and pleasant service, we had a pizza which was made and then cooked in their own pizza oven by the door, the food was well made and well-presented and there were even vegan options. The place was clean including the toilets, the food was well priced and of good quality. If you get the opportunity to eat here give it a try, you should not be disappointed.

We came here for xmas day. And what a treat it was. From the moment we walked in to when we left. Made to feel very welcome. Very relaxed. First time we have eaten out on xmas day. Our server ( I think on the bill her name was Carlsson?) was very good she was a happy girl and looked after us well. Turkey was yummy as all the rest of our food. Thank you for making our day so enjoyable. We also loved the hats and the crackers a nice little touch.

We have been to another Lovely Pubs pub and enjoyed it so decided to try this one. This is a large pub restaurant with several different eating areas so may be worth going to have a look at it to choose a particular table. The bar area is cozy. Our table ordered a wide array of dishes which were mostly very good, with 2 exceptions: the margarita pizza was not great, “tasted like a toasted cheese“ was the diner’s comment; the burger looked good however the patty was over compressed, dry and overcooked. Neither was really awful but both were disappointing considering the other dishes were really good.

Booked here when staying with my family nearby. There was 21 of us altogether include 2 kids. Correspondence was prompt from the beginning and instructions were clear about how they wanted pre orders to be taken.

Found this bar / restaurant by chance last weekend when staying locally. Restaurant was fully booked but eat in the bar area - same menus. Staff were professional and attentive. Food was excellent - so impressed that we ate there for the following two days.

I have been a regular for some time and usually a sunday roast but my last visit was not pleasant for many reasons. I usually ask for a few extra roast potatoes, not too many, just a few. In the past this was not charged and seemed perfectly ok. On my last visit I was charged £2.95 for the roast potatoes and mentioned it when the bill was presented. The duty manager came over and explained this is something new and it was listed on the menu 100% sure. I then got hold of the menu and asked where it was, surprise surprise no mention of this in the extras except for chips. He then said the head chef told him to charge me. When I managed to get hold of the head chef he said they could charge extras if they wish and I was pathetic to argue the point. If it's not on the menu and you are not informed you cannot charge and if it's pathetic to argue over £2.95 then why charge it in the first place if the amount is pathetic. (principle was my point). The roast dinners are not cheap at £17 for the Beef and £13 for the pork, extra for c/cheese and 50p extra for a yorkie on my pork dinner. Add to the fact a large wine costs £9.65 its not a cheap meal so why do they feel its necessary to charge for a few potatoes in the bigger picture. We have now found a better venue where the roast dinner is as good for a much lower price. Despite assurances the complaint I emailed in later would be dealt with there hasn't been much feedback from the initial call except to say sorry. They have tainted a relationship because of a head chef's poor customer service and sometimes these so called gastro pubs need to remember it's not always wise to charge for every little thing you have. No common sense in my opinion.

Passing by on route, and popped in for Sunday Lunch. Whilst a tad expensive service and quality was fantastic. Bar is dog friendly, food was plentiful and a lovely general feel about the place. A few nooks & crannies - and very nice decor.

Always good food always friendly staff. Pizzas are to die for and they are 2 for 1. Always a go to for a working lunch.

The Moat House is a decent sized establishment just off the busy A435 to the north of Alcester in Warwickshire. We have been on a few occasions in the past but had not visited for several months.

Just home from a family catch up over lunch, not usually a fan of roast dinners anywhere but home but so glad I tried - roast lamb was excellent! My aunt had the chicken and was equally pleased! Superb! Amazing Sauvignon Blanc too.

Had a lovely evening. The food was perfect, after ordering food we didn't have to wait long, staff really happy to help with a smile. Atmosphere friendly. Definitely recommend.

While visiting the area we dropped in looking for a quick pub lunch.

Average food, personally there were not many things on the menu that i liked the sound of. Service also very average.

Just returned from a lively large group of family and Friends eating at the Moat House

Fantastic steaks and fantastic service with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The Argentinian rib eye steak was delicious, would recommend for anyone

My Mum, Sister and I went for an impromptu Sunday Lunch at Moat House. We had Lamb, Mum had her favourite Chicken she has at any of the Lovely Pubs Group. Service was at its best, the food was perfect as usual. We’ll be back soon

We went to the Moat House for a special lunch and as usual enjoyed a superb meal in lovely surroundings. The food I had was squid to start and a sirloin steak to follow. All cooked to perfection and served by well trained friendly and helpful staff. The atmosphere is always good whether at lunchtime or evening. The outdoor space is superb. Well worth a visit for sure.

Took my family here as I had eaten here with a friend. The good choice was amazing for children, teenagers and adults, including vegetarians! The staff were very friendly and attentive. Would recommend 109%

We stopped for lunch at the Moat Inn today. Absolutely excellent. The food could not be faulted and the service was first class even though the place was busy.

My uncle and auntie picked this place as it was half way between where they lived and were we are stopping on holiday. The food was excellent.

Noisy, congested and poor service. If you like a noisy environment and an uncaring service then this is the place you will enjoy.

We hadn’t booked a table but this wasn’t an issue as we had arrived at noon.

Had a good Sunday roast dinner with family and friends. Service was excellent, roasts good and desserts scrumptious

I don’t want to sound fussy BUT the roast pork tasted like it does in Chinese take- a -way so obviously just reheated. The beef was good but how strange to have the same black gravy on different meats-there could have been a little more too. We were asked about cauliflower cheese as if it was the norm but at another £7 between two it bumps up the Roast dinner price somewhat. Staff nice and friendly and service good but food lacking.

We had visited this restaurant before just the two of us and had a lovely time one Thursday evening eating in the bar and the food was great.

I visited here for lunch on route to Coughton Court (National Trust).

This is our forth visit here and we absolutely love it! Great atmosphere, very friendly and professional staff and the food is incredible (the pizza is to die for!)

Early evening meal - during happy hour - crowded - we ordered off the menu - did not have a pizza although they seemed very popular. Pleasant staff - meal good and good service. Car-park. Would visit again.

Last month I returned to the moat house to see if it had got any better since my last visit, and sadly it seems to have gotten worse. Food was mediocre at best, and overpriced for what was being offered. The staff were not enthusiastic about the job they were doing at all, and it put a sour tone for me and my friends outing. I’m not going to recommend any dishes, as it saddens me how different this visit was to my last . Thirds times a charm

What a lovely evening! My hubby treated me to a birthday dinner at the moat house and we weren’t disappointed. The atmosphere is lovely in the pub and the restaurant. We were served in the bar by a lovely chap, we think his name was Omid. He was training a guy who was seemingly on a trial shift and his training was so good! There was a lovely lady with long blonde hair that looked after us and seated us to table, we were then served by Andrew in the restaurant and he was so attentive and friendly. All in all it was such a nice evening (and without the kids too! ).

Says it all but I suppose with the economy it makes sense, but that doesn’t let staff (restaurant manageress talking to us like that!!!!

Excellent food and wine selection. Large gin collection for juniper lovers. Staff very helpful. Two for 1 offers on pizza for early birds. Pizza is exceptional.

Visited on a Monday lunchtime with my mum as we were both working from home.

The food here is always good and reasonably priced, but I always find that the service is exceptional and you are really well looked after. It is always nice to sit outside in good weather!

Visited this pub after a trip to Coughton Court - v convenient. Got 2 for 1 pizza (12-3 on weekdays) which was tasty and great value. Service was good. V good menu beyond the pizza. Busy restaurant with couples, young adults, families, seniors, a whole range of people.

Wow from start to finish this place was amazing!!
