Amazing food, excellent service, we had a brilliant time and cannot recommend highly enough

Brilliant Sunday lunch and excellent service from Ayman and his team the food was outstanding 👍 The only thing I will say is that I remember it when it was a pub as well as a restaurant. So now it's just a restaurant it did lack a bit in atmosphere overall as it was a bit quiet. Otherwise 10 /10 for everything else. Yes I would definitely enjoy going there again for some more amazing food 😋

Sunday lunch with friends. What a find. Wonderful locally sourced food. Venison was unbelievable , Roast Beef brilliant. Great atmosphere, excellent service by the 3 ladies, and a Front of House / Maitre d’ who was also the owner, explaining and enthusing over every item on the menu. It’s not cheap, (£55/head 3 courses, drinks and wine) but neither does the bill feel you have bought shares in the building, Great place for a long , lingering, lunch with friends on a cold October afternoon. Highly recommended, will certainly be back.

Had a very nice lunch today my wife and I both really enjoyed it. I had the seafood risotto and my wife had the cod so complements to the chef. Ayman was a great host and very professional and friendly and he also helped the waitress serve our meals. Overall very good value for money and the service was excellent. We would definitely recommend and will be back again.

fabulous restaurant ! huge thanks to Ayman and his team for making us all so welcome the food was amazing such a delight to find a restaurant that is actually cooking fresh food to order lots to choose from and all of our meals were beautiful , service was friendly and very efficient all in all a great evening and we will definitely be returning to this restaurant which we have not felt we wanted to do with any others we have tried over the last year or so , prior to booking at The bluebell I spoke with two other restaurants and was left feeling very deflated and unexcited by the prospect of booking either then I spoke with Ayman his enthusiasm and joy of what he does was evident from the first instant so glad we chose The Bluebell , thank you Ayman for restoring our faith in dining out !

We had a fantastic lunch today - it is Sunday and we had the Sunday Roast. It was exceptional. A beautiful restaurant and great Service, and a varied menu (everything is cooked fresh and locally sourced). The Manager is very welcoming and accommodating. Also, we trust this restaurant... my husband has Celiac and the Manager ensures the Chef cooks everything gluten free. We come back time and again.. really great restaurant, highly recommended.

We thouroughly enjoyed our anniversary lunch at The Bluebell restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, the atmosphere was super and the host was very friendly. We had scallops as a starter that were melt-in-the-mouth. I enjoyed the seasonal Lamb rump that was cooked to perfection and the Lebanese Delight dessert that included the most delicious baklava. My husband had a generous seafood risotto and limoncello cheesecake. Both were very tasty. Definitely one of the better meals that we’ve had out in the UK.

Passing by on boat and stopped for Sunday lunch. Excellent carvery we both had a small adult , very generous and good value £12.50. Dumbar beer well kept . Would recommend didn’t book but lucky to get a table . Very busy obviously very popular. Toilets very clean and well looked after.

Our 3rd time visiting The BlueBell this evening! A last minute booking and Ayman went above and beyond to make sure he could fit us in the restaurant tonight! We are always made to feel at home here by Ayman and his team! The food menu never disappoints a variety of amazing flavours and always willing to personalise the dishes especially for “our princess” “Happiness is great food and great company” When staying in Stratford upon Avon the blue bell is a must visit!

Just took some good friends to my favourite place to eat, The Blue Bell. Ayman and his team are passionate about great fresh food cooked and presented well in a cosy surroundings where you can relax and enjoy. My friends commented on how good the food was and that we were not rushed but able to relax, catchup and enjoy the time together. Consistently good every-time I come. Would highly recommend you experience the Blue Bell for yourself.

Having had a couple of weeks touring with mostly ordinary pub food it was great to eat well at this accesable but quality restuarant. Made very welcome by Proprietor although did not have a reservation. Ate very early on a pretty grotty day but restuarant still had a warm and friendly feel. Good range of non-alcohic drinks which still complimented food. Convenient car park in lovely large village where on-road parking is difficult.

We had great starters but main meal was a big disappointment. Steak was chewy, chips not baked properly, veal completely tasteless. Meal below average and definitely not worth the price we paid. I didn’t eat almost anything… Restaurant also has quite weird Egyptian decorations, not fitting beautiful old-English style building.

The Bluebell hosted my daughter's birthday party yesterday. I can’t praise them enough. Amazing service and food. Strongly recommended.

This is the first time my husband and I had been to the restaurant. This was by chance, but what a great experience. We were warmly welcomed when we entered and sat at a table of our choosing. The service was very attentive but not intrusive. The owner introduced himself and explained all the details of the menu. We placed an order for a starter to share, and not long later, our food arrived, with fresh home baked bread rolls to accompany the olives, olive oil and balsamic reduction. Our main course arrived, again in a very timely manner, piping hot. We both chose the champagne battered fish. The batter was delicate and crisp, the fish was pure white and flakey, and the portion size was perfect for us both. We were so pleased with the quality of the food, for the first time in a long time we shared one of the home made deserts and again not disappointed with any part of it. In summary, a real find which we would recommend to any one and we will now be a returning customer for years to come.

Our first time dining in Henley in Arden...the Bluebell was a real find. We were celebrating my husbands birthday, and we're delighted with our choice. We were warmly greeted by Ayman. He and the delightful staff go out of their way to please. The food was absolutely delicious...we had the mixed app platter, . a Moroccan chicken and a Seabass dish, and an apple crumble, which arrived with a candle and accompanied by a serenade of 'Happy Birthday'! We cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough and definitely will be back

The bluebell is our go to place. The food is is always excellent and is freshly cooked to order even allowing for some changes f[r customer preferences. They have just introduced the summer menu which still includes regular favourites, plus there are monthly specials, but what makes the place is the staff who are all so friendly and helpful and Ayman is the perfect host. From the moment you walk through the door you know this place cares. Staff are attentive and observant. Once seated and suitably served with an excellent glass of white wine, I asked for a food recommendation. Something I never would have ordered but so pleased I did. So trust the staff to make a choice if you are wavering. I like to think of the Bluebell as a Boutique restaurant, unique with gorgeous food served in a warm environment by well trained and happy staff.

We have been to the Bluebell on several occasions and can honestly say, we have never had a bad experience, always exceeding expectations. The general ambience in the main dining area is charming, the welcome from Ayman is personable and warm while all the staff are extremely friendly and more importantly, very efficient. We have tried many of the varied dishes and each one has been excellent, so I won’t single any out. I don’t think I need say any more. Go here, you will not be disappointed.

The food is absolutely delicious but the reason the restaurant stands out is the owner, who is incredibly personable, and believes passionately in his food, his restaurant and his service. There's a unique mix of Italian and Middle Eastern food, and we had a really lovely lunch. It's the kind of place you make an excuse to return to!

Awesome experience. Family meal for 6 adults, and every plate in every course delighted. You can tell when the owner takes pride in their restaurant, and it shines through. Seafood risotto was a major hit, The choice on the menu had some British (champagne battered fish and chips and lamb rump were stars) as well as Italian and middle east influences. What a great find, wholeheartedly recommended, 5*.

Without doubt the very best pub and restaurant in the area. A superb menu and relaxed atmosphere. A must visit. Excellent drinks menu including some very good wines.

We went into the Bluebell on the off chance they had a table and the owner was so accommodating squeezing us in as we hadn’t booked. I cannot fault the food and service it was fantastic. I had the tagliatelle bolognese which I can honestly say was the best I’ve ever had, fresh, delicious and full of flavour! We were really looked after and will 100% be going back again very soon!

Food was exceptional, as was the service. You can tell that the team love what they do and take great pride in their work. Our plates were clean after every course. Nice vegetarian options too. Will definitely be visiting again soon.

It's very disappointing that the Blue Bell Inn is now closed to the general public as a pub. This is a very important coaching inn, that has been on the High Street for many centuries. It has now closed its doors to the general public, unless you have booked a table for a meal. Even more interesting is that planning permission for the property is listed as a pub, not a restaurant, technically operating in breach of planning. I hope that the current tenants will allow the general public to drink at the bar as per the terms of its current planning consent.

This is our second time eating at the Bluebell. We were fussy eaters, but Ayman happily suggested perfect tweaks to the menu to suit us. This independent restaurant excels in every way. The food is of a high quality, fresh and cooked to perfection. Portion sizes are decent.The service is friendly and attentive without being intrusive. We visited on a Thursday night in early January. What I really liked about this place that is uncommon nowadays is that the tables are not crammed in. You don't feel like you're impinging on someone a nearby table or that you have to talk in hushed tones. This also suggests the restaurant prioritises quality rather than a battery restaurant with a fast, high turnover. The food was exceptional, though as a table we weren't too adventurous with our choices, I certainly will be a little more so next time. The owner was very personable and took the time to explain some of the dishes to us. His enthusiasm for the restaurant really shines through - his personality and friendliness, along with the wonderful food will ensure we return in the not too distant future.

This fabulous little restaurant is faultless. The food is superb, the customer service second to none. Nothing is too much trouble and you couldn't feel more welcome. Came across this restaurant whilst walking down the High Street so popped in for lunch, greeted by friendly service and a menu of tasty meals. We finally chose the lamb tagine and the seafood risotto both were freshly prepared and full of flavour, two excellent dishes.

We went as a family of 7 last might including some from US who were returning back today . The booking was easy , the host was very welcoming and really made us feel at home . He went talked us through the menu , explained the dish of the day . The ambience and decor is excellent . Each and every item was excellent , freshly prepared with very interesting and high quality ingredients . Except two in our group , the rest were vegetarians . Every effort was made by the host to make adjustment in the menu . He was very flexible . We also had desserts . Waffles with date sauce is highly recomended . I would highly recomend the place . We came into the Bluebell on our way home for lunch. What a lovely food experience! The ingredients were fresh and food was of exceptional quality. A well thought out menu and service was very friendly and relaxing. I had the lamb tagine which was delicious and my partner had the seafood risotto that was the best he had ever had. We had such a wonderful evening at The Bluebell we stayed for much longer than planned. The food was amazing- the spices continued to sing in my mouth after the meal - such a beautiful blend. Lovely town with nearly all period properties & The Blue Bell is no exception. It looks like it's dated back to 1700s The owner came & served us & he was quite a character . He added to the atmosphere joking with us all through the meal. He told us he hand selects chooses all the ingredients & everything made from scratch. Character building with modern toilet facilities. Food was nicely presented with fancy plates/ dishes. There was a varied menu of different types of food from around the world. Prices were more expensive than average to reflect quality of produce & everything being made fresh to order. A lovely pub with a difference.

Phoned to book a week ahead and spoke with the owner Ayman, he set the tone as an enthusiastic and passionate host who assured me that me and my guests would have a nice time. Upon arrival we were made to feel very welcome, offered the full menu and at no point felt rushed. The first course sharing platters were nice and plentiful. The mains were well cooked and enjoyed by all. No room for a pudding! Will be visiting again, thoroughly recommend!

Exquisite food ! We enjoyed a gorgeous lunch . There was five of us and we all had starters, mains and puddings. I had the special - venison , it was perfectly cooked . Followed by a scrumptious apple crumble and custard. My husband had the steak which he said was the best he had had in years. We were treated perfectly and I would highly recommend this restaurant . A second visit recently (the first to conduct a cheeky bit of research) this time to celebrate our mother’s 84th birthday. From the warmest welcome to the attention to service and a bit of cheeky banter we all had a wonderful evening. Moreover this second visit confirmed what we had discovered the first time around; that the food here is created with passion and a real attention to flavours, with everything made fresh and on site. I cannot praise the management and team highly enough. Well done. Even though we had travelled some distance to be there this will not be our last visit.

I came to The Bluebell for my dad’s birthday for an evening meal, and was greeted with a warm and friendly welcome on arrival. The food was absolutely delicious, a particular highlight for me being the Swordfish with a char grilled texture mixed with a tomato stew and new potatoes and a side of spinach and pine nuts. Additionally, I really enjoyed the pancake with cherries topped with vanilla ice cream for dessert! My dad chose the chocolate fondant for afterwards and to my surprise it even came with a single candle in the middle and we sang “Happy Birthday” which I thought was a really lovely touch. Overall, absolutely delicious food and very welcoming staff. Will definitely visit again and would highly recommend!

Came here for a friend's birthday on a weeknight. It was quiet but the owner made us feel so welcome and valued. In fact, he made it a completely personalised experience, and made clear that they would do their absolute best to ensure we had what we wanted, even if it deviated from the menu, and they didn't disappoint.
