An excellent mother's Day meal excellent food excellent staff didn't have to move from our table for anything all mother's given a potted plant a nice gesture will be going again especially as we had one of us which is very fussy with food but they went out of their way to accommodate us thank you

We’ve had several Sunday roasts at The Oak. Today’s was simply the best. The best tender, pink beef, plentiful veg and loads of cauliflower cheese. Delicious!

I have not eaten here, but its a regular stop for a lovely selection on beers after my favourite walk around Oversley woods. Park for free behind the Swan Hotel on Bleechfield St (for up to 72 hours!!) And then after 7.5km or 10km or 12.25 km depending g on how many times you circle the woods, enjoy the warm welcome at the Oak with great guest beers!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Tender meat, perfectly cooked and plentiful vegetables. Excellent service. Best meal out for long time.

Second time we’ve had Sunday lunch here, have to say it’s the best pub lunch we’ve had, great food, great staff, great beer, highly recommend

Sadly the two night Friday and Saturday they were not doing food.

Just visited the Royal Oak for Sunday lunch and it was fabulous. We had roast beef it was delicious and so tender, all the veg and accompaniments were spot in we couldn’t fault it!

Miserable, but only £50 per night. Reminded me of the pub form the TV series “Shameless”, but with rooms.

Wow what an amazing place . Normally just 3 of us on Wednesday night great staff , great atmosphere , great selection of drinks . Last visit was a leaving do , allowed us to set up a tab , usual top quality staff n service , knowledge of products , even stayed late as some were still drinking , no pressure to leave . Highly recommended we will be back x

The Royal Oak is a great local pub - mismatched chairs and tables making sure it keeps its authenticity - you know you are not in a generic chain. Specials menu's on a Thursday are brilliant value for money - very large portions - freshly cooked and tasty. Ruth and team are a great friendly sociable team. We've been told that the Sunday lunch is excellent - which if anything like the Thursday - we really should go. Great place to either eat or drink

Popped in for a beer while fishing near by staff very polite and helpful prices ok , Gents toilet floor very wet and smells bad other wise would been excellent and five out of 5

SUPERB Sunday roasts! Mouth-wateringly tender roasts with a selection of freshly prepared, colourful vegetables and served with a separate bowl of rustic cauliflower cheese. Crunchy crackling and crispy Yorkers what more can I say? Cannot recommend enough and look forward to returning.

This is a definite pub we will be going back to, and if we had just moved into the area, we would been regulars straight away...the staff and regulars were so lovely and friendly. We arrived very late for food as we had been out visiting local attractions during our holiday in the area, so were lucky they were still serving. we went into the little back garden as it was a lovely sunny evening and the locals in the garden chatted to us straight away. We ordered food and although they had just run out of the food one of us ordered (it was the daily special Chilli con Carne not one of the regular items on the pub menu), the staff and landlady apologised and said they would give us an 'adapted' daily special, that ended up being a massive board of food, all the chicken tacos and fajitas we could possibly eat, a huge salad each and a huge bowl of chips each, all for no extra charge (Emma's meal is in the photo attached!). Finally after a few drinks we went to say goodbye and even then they said oh come along Saturday there are loads of events going on and come in for food and drinks. Sadly we were headed home the following night. BUT such a nice welcome to two strangers in their pub. WE WILL BE BACK. Mark and Emma

We were part of a party of 20 who had a Christmas dinner today and the staff could not have been more accommodating. Everything was so well organised and all the meals were served in a timely fashion. The food itself was top notch and all washed down with well kept ales and quality wines. Thank you to the Oak’s staff for a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon.

Great local pub with a lot of community faces! Really welcoming. Reasonably priced and kept clean and tidy. Worth a visit.

I have not eaten here before, despite being local. Spur of the moment, I booked a Sunday Roast. I did not know what to expect, but as soon as I walked through the door - my mind was put at ease. Pub was almost full, with families all eating, and the fire was on which made it really homely & cosy - all that was missing was snow! I had the beef. COOKED TO PERFECTION, MEDIUM RARE. Huge yorks pudding & proper meat gravy - not bisto stuff! Roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese, other veg all fresh & piping hot. Portion size was spot on. All served on warm plates & with a smile. Very good meal, lovely atmosphere. Thank you to all the staff.

Absolutely fantastic pub Could not fault a thing , every member of staff were polite , professional and extremely friendly We had the Sunday roast and it was superb 😘 The whole experience left us wanting to return again which says it all . And being a dog owner it was so nice that they welcome 4 pawls with open arms and actually took the time to include him Jack loved it 🐶 Returning to Devon tomorrow but we will be back

We stopped here passing through on the way home from Cornwall. After going in and asking if dogs where aloud and saying we would like a bite to eat. I parked up and went in, ordered drinks and asked for menu, " oh sorry were not serving food until tomorrow morning " 🙃 We then went and sat down in the courtyard garden to enjoy our drinks. Our 2x beagles greeted every other dog how any dog would which proceeded in a request from staff to pls keep our dogs "under control " 🤪. Safe to say we didn't stop for another 🤦‍♂️

Very Good Lovely pub at the top of the high street, where the bar staff are really friendly, locals interesting and excellent beer. I have not tried the food yet, but I look forward to doing so!

Stopped here for a bit of lunch as they allow dogs. Menu was limited but had food my wife and I were happy to order. Lovely "traditional" style pub with on open log fire and a relaxed atmosphere. At £23 for two drinks and two jacket potatoes we left full and very happy with the price.

Lovely little find in Alcester. Visited for lunch with a friend and, although slightly limied menu wise, there was plenty to choose from. Presented beautifully. Fantastic, friendly staff, clean premises. Relaxed atmosphere. The bill was about £30 for two including coffee and a soft drink. Definitely will be going back...!

Needed food, saw this pub and thought I’d give it a go. It doesn’t looked particularly special from the outside, nor is it particularly special on the inside, but I was pleasantly surprised. The service was second to none. Everyone was so lovely and personable....

Have just been to the Royal Oak in Alcester, we had a Sunday roast which was amazing, the ale was top class and the landlady is surely the prettiest in Warwickshire, we will surely visit this establishment again.

Very friendly and welcoming staff showed us to a seat in their lovely courtyard garden which has a Mediterranean feel about it. We were served drinks straight away and given menus. As vegetarians it’s hard to find good ‘pub grub’ that isn’t the usual options...

Excellent good beer great staff organised and welcoming

My family and I picked up the most ‘wonderful’ Sunday lunch today. Some had pork and others beef, all an absolute delight! There was accompanying red cabbage, roast parsnip and potatoes, cauliflower cheese, huge Yorkshire puddings, broccoli, kale and carrots plus black pudding and exceptional...

We had Sunday roast takeaway before Xmas and it was better than I cook at home! Turkey, stuffing and all the trimmings and the cauli cheese was to die for. Fantastic selection of veg too. Definitely recommend.

Had take away lunch for a treat, Turkey was lovely, roast potatoes and gravy were delicious, unfortunately the veg was not cooked, couldnt cut the sprouts!!!! Hopefully just an off day.

What more could you want? Friendly welcome with a smile, roaring fire, delicious dinner, charming town. Great. We eat all over the Midlands and this had to be the nicest Sunday lunch we've had.

My husband and I had lunch here today, just got back and we are stuffed!!!! I couldn't stop eating the cauliflower cheese - it was magnificent, I would have licked the dish if I weren't such a lady. Sadly not busy due to Covid restrictions but enough atmosphere to make it a relaxed experience with log fire and background music. Staff were lovely and made us feel very welcome. Definitely worth a visit.

Extremely disappointed. Paid for upgraded roast and got less than a standard. Half a Yorkshire, no crackling and the worst roast beef I have ever eaten.. Staff didnt give a toss. Never spending money in there again

Yummy yummy yummy describes the roast dinner, I ordered the roast beef which was so tender it almost melted in the mouth, it was served with selection of vegetables and a delicious cauliflower cheese, I will definatly be returning.
