Arrow Mill Restaurant in Stratford-on-Avon

We visited Arrow Mill recently and were 5 of us for Sunday lunch. The food was very poor. Overcooked, undercooked and the meat was tough. We were not asked how things were and no one liked to make a fuss in front of others but I think you should be very selective about your choice. Great venue spoilt by the food quality and attention to detail by the staff.

Arrived in plenty of time and had a drink at the bar before asking for our table. Duly shown and happy with the table. I have been several times in the past and found the service to be terrible - on this occasion it was good. Main complaint was food and prices. Two of our party ordered Fryed Brie but after a few minutes was told they had run out! This was 7.30 pm on a Friday! My friend and I ordered scallops. I appreciate they are not cheap but to find three with a bit of garnish on each plate at a cost of £15.95 - rip off. The main courses were good - fish and chips at £18.95 expensive but served very hot and more fish than batter for a change. We declined deserts. Without going into detail, the drinks were very expensive. Venue superb, lovely rooms and decor. Have since heard that many of the dishes were microwaved although ours couldn’t have been. Will not be returning ( something I have said before)!

What an amazing place. My first visit with family and can’t fault anything. From start to finish everything just perfect. Food, drinks and service were outstanding and special thanks to Kaitlin our waitress who didn’t stop smiling. We shall return.

We came here today without booking. The staff found us a table in the bar which is still very nice . The service was excellent and we were looked after by a charming young man called Rob the Sunday lunch today was excellent and I recommend the cauliflower cheese will be back Nxt week

I took my friend who was visiting me for afternoon tea and it was amazing beautiful sandwiches and cakes we sat on the balcony overlooking the river our waitress was so very lovely and checked on us twice to make sure we were happy. I will come back again wonderful afternoon. Mrs G Batson

We went for afternoon tea for two. The atmosphere was good, the scenery was beautiful, the food however was not great. The tea was delivered 30 minutes before the rest of the afternoon tea. The sandwiches were nice, the scones were dry and the sweet treats were just sweet. When I showed my disappointment for the tea being served too soon, the staff really made it clear they really did not care. I won’t be going for afternoon tea at the Arrow Mill again. £50 was way too expensive. Very disappointed.

We had booked a table for four at 6.30 on a Tuesday evening - not a busy time. We were shown to large round table set for five, the member of staff who showed us to the table just placed the menus in a pile and walked away. The waitress was polite, although the drinks order was quite slow in arriving and the tap water for the table was forgotten and when it arrived was luke warm. The food was good, but the lack of service was a shame. When we left the guy who took us to our table was showing some other diners to their table. As he walked past us he completely ignored us, there was no ‘goodnight’ or acknowledgement. I think some customer service training is required.

Really not dog friendly - or even dog tolerant! Why advertise that you are dog friendly and then make you feel very unwelcome for bringing a dog. Paw service- don't bother

We had afternoon tea here today. It was lovely. Great sandwiches, lovely fresh scones, jam & cream and a selection of cakes. Service was good, had more tea & had small boxes to bring the cakes we couldn't eat home. All very good and reasonably priced as well. Will definitely book again.
