Guys you need to change the container you use for take away breakfasts. It’s way too small. I just received mine and it’s all soggy and wet. It’s inedible. It’s also missing the eggs. The fried bread and waffle were beyond soggy, the bacon is wet and fatty, black pudding is is falling apart it’s so soggy. I actually feel unwell just looking at it. You can’t put a full English in a tiny bowl. I usually order breakfast from the golden goose, but they were offline. Their breakfast is absolutely exceptional. Hate wasting my money like this.

Haven't visited in a while as we live directly opposite a carvery pub in Redditch. We will not be visiting again as we were very disappointed! Very little choice of vegetables. The app was not working, so I couldn't get my 25% discount. Had to edit my review as I could not respond to your answer.... Choice of: Green Beans. Carrots. Peas. Not really a substantial amount to choose from. As for the app, I showed a member of staff who said they would need to speak to 'I.T.' She could clearly see on my phone even after restarting my app it was not working?.. So yes, my personal experience was a bad one, and as far as I'm concerned, my review was honest and nothing but factual.

We arrived shortly before the end of food service. Parked in what seemed to be the pub car park.But they accepted our order. The food was mediocre. No smiles from the staff. A couple of weeks later I get a ticket for parking. £60! There were no signs to say it was not the pub car park. No signs to say you had to register your car at the bar/desk. Nothing

I occasionally come here with my family for a carvery meal, but was left more disappointed after each visit. On Saturday the 26th of May, we were still left extremely hungry. The chef barely gave us any meat, and by that I mean it has a thickness of a piece of paper. You cannot expect us to try and fill ourselves up with potatoes and vegetables. Cauliflower and cheese were also bland, I don’t know how you could make the cheese sauce taste like water. Until they improved on this we probably will not be coming back anytime soon.

Great friendly staff trying their very best to keep it going, breakfast was awful, the toaster has seen better days....paid extra for mushrooms, well paid extra for a mouthful of oil(deep fried) food was cold to luke warm, only good thing was the coffee was good, screaming baby's/kids aswell, wont be going back again, as i said friendly polite staff trying to mask it over, shame really.

Same carvery everyday meat very thin paper-thin. Breakfast bacon too hard toaster takes forever to cook. Coffee should be unlimited refills

I visited here the last weekend. The food was ok, nothing too special but I only had Mac and cheese. I can't speak for the other dishes. We had a set price option but with ordering using the website, I'm not really sure if it worked. I didn't inspect the bill. One thing is when ordering, you have to choose a tip but that's before you have had any interaction with staff or know how good the meal and service are. maybe order food first then order drinks after food and leave a tip then or leave cash when leaving. Drinks were good. Parking was free for 4 hours after entering your registration number into the tablet inside. Plenty of space. We booked ahead, no issue. The only minor complaint would be the waitress not really knowing things like the kids meal including free desert. Also getting the desert bowls, we had to ask after sitting around with mostly empty plates after dinner for a while. they might have been leaving us to chat though and one of the kids plates was half full although done with. Friendly staff. I would probably visit again if I'm back in the area.

Our first and probably last carvery. Although there was a good selection of vegetables and meat. I do not think one slice of pork and one slice of turkey is worth the £11.99 charge, especially in today’s economic climate, we all want value for money? Shame as a nice restaurant, clean and tidy with friendly staff.

We went as a birthday celebration on Sunday. There were plenty of vegetables (don’t know about being seasonal as they appear to be frozen!) and choice of meat. At £11.99 we do not think one slice of pork and one slice of turkey (very thin slices) is value for money. Frozen Yorkshire puddings not fresh. One big pot of stodgy stuck together stuffing? Really .. can’t you do a bit better and at least give value for money, especially in today’s economic struggles. Disappointed,

We visit regularly, but on this occasion it was awful. Firstly I asked for a pint of Pepsi. What I received was a pint glass full of ice with a dash of Pepsi. The carvery was very poor. The beef was inedible as so chewy, and the roast potatoes had been warmed up so we're either as hard as a rock, or just a vile texture. The vegetables were very mushy and inedible. We have booked for Christmas day, and I just hope that things will be better.

*update* again we had excellent carvery with a nice selection of meats and vegetables. Today again we were looked after by Summer who was polite and curtious and friendly ad always.

Best pizza in Redditch, crust is amazing and meat feast toppings mainly come from the carvery. If you want good pizza, go here. Our server Kathryn is always polite and happy to help.

The barley mow in studley was amazing it was my husband’s birthday and the put banner on table a card and a bar of chocolate it was lovely the meal was delicious

Staff members Fiona and Kit went above and beyond to ensure our large family of 7 were all taken care of. We all had different orders and they were able to tell us when some of the dishes were being plated out so everyone got to eat together. They made my special occasion person centred with an enjoyable atmosphere and had great positive attitudes.

Been twice now and will return. Great selection of veg all cooked well. Roasties especially. Perfect for all the family. Booked in this time and got ideal table right by the carvery so less waking for elderly grandma, much appreciated. Caters for vegetarians and gluten free diets. Can have the option of gravy and a plain cauli made specially. All staff very friendly and welcoming.

This was my son's favourite place to eat out. Sadly my son lost his battle with mental health he was 36years old. Our friends & family came here to celebrate his 1st birthday since passing. We all had a carvery which everyone agreed was delicious and great value for money. The assistant manager had booked a private room much to my surprise. When we open the door there was the hugest sunflowers On the table. It bought tears to us all as sunflowers was my son's favourite & have been using sunflowers to promote mental health awareness & support. The staff were all amazing and even helpful with myself regarding disabilities. They really did go above and beyond to make us all feel welcom and supporting mental health. Thank you to everyone at the Barley Mo.

Great experience with family. Came here today as Grandma doesn’t eat much and likes choosing her size of meal. Didn’t book a table but they fit us in. All staff really friendly despite being very busy. On arrival when ordering I explained I am gf veggie and they let me know of the carvery options and provided a gluten free gravy. Plenty of veg options on the carvery deck, all cooked well. Found some perfect crispy roasties so overall great experience. Will happily return when visiting Grandma, thank you to all the staff for having an inclusive place of work.

Our waitress was Summer. Fantastic, genuine service. Friendly and very helpful. My Mum had a medical issue and Summer tended to her at kept her calm. A credit to the Barley Mow.

Originally booked a table then cancelled due to the football. Decided to just turn up after the match, they were just about to clear away the carvery but waited for us to order, we ordered some veggie food kyle said at they wouldn't clear away the carvery and they would wait until the veggie did was ready so we could all eat together. Absolutely really lovely staff who couldn't do enough for us...thank you

I take my granddaughter there once a week for lunch. Staff always manage to find a table for us depending on what time of day and it being quiet busy. Always friendly greeting. Service impeccable. My granddaughter is looked after with crayons and colouring upon our arrival. Food is excellent. Served by Kathryn Summer, of whom she has my granddaughter's 110% approval.

First time I have eaten here. Food was very nice and very tasty, full of flavour. We had the carvery. The staff were very pleasant, friendly and helpful. Will definitely eat here again.

We called in and had a carvery. I couldn’t believe the prices! Amazing! The food itself was lovely, even though we didn’t go until 2.30pm. Highly recommend and will be definitely returning!!

A group of 6 of us came today, 3 of us were here for the first time,we all opted for the carvery which was great as usual, great choice of veggies, was served by summer who is a lovely young lady, very pleasant, credit to the Barley mow

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. However, the food was a real disappointment, particularly as we use the Stonehouse pub near use frequently. The sausages were really fatty, and the vegetables were a let down. Particularly the cauliflower cheese, as the cauliflower had barely seen the pan.

Wow there was 11 of us for xmas dinner and Melissa and all the staff made the day so special . The food was absolutely beautiful 0the atmosphere was excellent and all the staff were brilliant Andy the manager should be so proud cause the day went so smoothly , fun Thank-you Melissa and all the staff for such a amazing Xmas dinner

Have been for breakfast menu and food was delicious and a real steal for it price thoroughly enjoyed it. I have also been for a couple of pints of an afternoon on a couple of occasions staff are really attentive an create a really comfortable chilled atmosphere toilets are immaculately clean. Have been a couple of times now both peak weekend and weekday and it's always been a good and pleasant experience. Staff are polite and happy to help and the food is so good! The carvery has a great selection of meats and veg that is well cooked and the standard table menu is also very good. This works well for us as within the family we have a mix of picky eaters and human dustbins 🤣🙈 and there was something for everyone and not one complaint about the food from both off the menu and the carvery. Drinks service was also very quick and reasonably priced and having tried the Guinness, Peroni and Madri on visits they all tasted great and fresh as did the pepsi draft and j20 with lemonade. Was also good to see a plentiful supply of lemons and limes ready for drinks too! Over all I've been very impressed on each visit and to have no complaints from the family on food, drink or service is a miracle as there's usually someone that won't like something - but not so far with anything at the barley mow.

First time here all I can say the pizza 🍕🍕 was on point. I had the Philly Cheese 🍕🍕 Steak 🥩 it was banging. Could not finish it off so took it home due to good 😊 😊👍🏾👍🏾. Get your pizza guys a good choice. The bar staff Summer was spot on.
