No idea how it takes an hour from order to delivery of beans on toast and a pot of tea! One of the ladies serving was lovely, the other one with dark hair needs to work on her customer service. If you’re stressed, maybe try a different role and be nice to the paying customers. Food was ok, it said sourdough on the menu, but bread just looked like and tasted like ordinary bloomer to me. No butter on toast either.

Nice breakfast, the large breakfast was just the right amount of items to get you going in the mornings. I tried my first taste of oat milk coffee here and was surprisingly good. Staff very friendly, and got served very quickly even though it was quite busy, so very efficiently run as well. The best place to go in Alcester.

Called into this lovely little café by the church today, greeted at the door by a friendly, cheerful waitress and with the sun out she showed us to a lovely table out the back. Management and staff are still wearing masks to keep customers and each other safe, they are also asking all customers to do so as well, which is no problem for us and don’t see why this would be a problem for anyone else it’s called caring and looking out for others especially while this pandemic is still going. The latte and Cappuccino we ordered arrived within a few minutes and the Croque mister was delicious. Would definitely recommend stopping in here for some lunch or even just a coffee, we will certainly be popping in again.

Very disappointing. We ordered two coffees, one ham sandwich on white and one fruit scone with butter and jam. We were sitting outside as we had our dog. Coffee arrived first, certainly not filter, weak and served in a mug, I left mine. Next the scone which was reasonable, however very shallow, unable to cut in half. The ham sandwich arrived, white sliced bread and the ham was very poor quality. I went to pay, met at the door by a woman who was most unfriendly, she led me through to pay and to my horror was told the bill was £15.70!! Definitely will not be returning.

Don't expect a warm welcome here! We waited by the door for a very miserable looking lady to appear, not even greet us with a hello! "Outside or inside" were her first words to us. We chose inside and she immediately took our temperatures and said "hand gel there" pointing to a little table with hand gel. She said the table was "over there" where there were numerous empty tables so we had to guess which one! She then disappeared. People like that do not deserve custom so we immediately left and will never return. I would choose to leave no stars if I could.

We also had the ham & cheese toasted sandwich which was superb. It came with a fresh side salad & french dressing. We all choose cake which you can see for yourself on display. All cakes we’ve had are beautiful. We sat outside in their new courtyard which was lovely. Our visit last week we sat inside. Good signage and strict Covid attention. Contact details taken , temperature taken then shown to our table. Very child friendly too. Nothing was too much trouble and all staff were welcoming with smiles on their faces. Popped in last Saturday afternoon. Friendly staff and lovely coffee. Was enjoying my coffee until I heard a debate going on by the counter. I was surprised to see what I thought was possibly the manager, grilling a young member of staff, very loudly about her views on Brexit, and to why she was wrong !! Extremely embarrassing for the young staff member (verging on bullying) and for customers alike.

After last time, we promised we'd not go back. Somehow, we slipped up - big time.Hearing the manager's opinions on politics/brexit/you name it (at high volume) is not really what I'd want from "going out for a lunchtime cofffee".Oh, as as for the (iced) coffee - a rather distinctive unpleasant taste all of its own - the flavour took me right back to the 1970s and Sterilised Milk. Was it really necessary for the manager to (again at high volume) instruct her staff on "how to cut and serve slices of cake"? Could this not have been done in a quieter manner?"Venue" seems to have been designed as a mashup of Fawlty Towers and "Tubbs and Edward's Local Shop"

We went for breakfast to celebrate me not drowning while open water swimming at Ragley Hall. The welcome was friendly, espresso and latte of very good quality and my full English plentiful and well cooked. My wife had scrambled eggs on toast with bacon and there were plates of bacon sandwiched passing to the tables outside while we waited, all looked good.If you don't want a cooked breakfast, the coffee alone is worth the visit, the cakes on sale looked great and the lunch menu would also be worth waiting for.The only thing I'd change is that the sauces and mustard are served in small bowls and were of a poor quality, no Heinz, HP or Colemans, which was out of keeping with the rest of the establishment and in my opinion, a false economy.

Having been to Venue Xpresso several times before, we came here again with high expectations.Friendly greeting, good service, the bacon, Brie and cranberry ciabatta was fine, but the gluten-free ham and cheese toastie was woeful. A toastie should be made in a proper device that compresses and toasts the bread on the outside. What was served was two slices of toast with a thin slice of processed ham and minimal cheese inside. Being gluten-free is not a choice, it is a necessity. If gluten-free food is offered, it should be of a much higher standard than this.

Whether its just a coffee, a full-on breakfast, a lunch - which is what I had - or afternoon tea with a fabulous selection of cakes. you are always sure of a smiling welcome, fast efficient service and great value for money. Cannot fault the place.

Over the weekend we used this cafe a couple of times, the latte was excellent and the home made scones with jam and cream were as good as we have tasted anywhere.

Tried this coffee shop for breakfast, the service was good and the food was very good when it arrived, piping hot and very tasty. The only gripe I have was the lady with two dogs, one on her lap feeding it bits the whole time plus another couple with a dog. Sorry just don't like dogs where I am eating and was concerned when the cook came and cuddled both dogs, I do hope she washes her hands regularly. Coffee very expensive and quite weak.

Lovely friendly and cosy pub. Great selection of meals and beer, all fairly priced. Easily my favourite pub in Shipston.

overall a lovely hotel and brilliant food. however i couldn’t help but notice the lack of respect from staff members to other fellow staff. i think staff for a hotel this nice should be kind and attentive and not out right rude.

Yummy food, good service and a peaceful and cosy vibe. We had a lovely dinner on a Monday eve, which really set us up for a relaxing break. My scallops and trout were both delicious.
