Eight of us had our first visit to WOODLANDS RESTAURANT,we went on recommendation and the recommendations were not wrong, food was served hot and super fresh and tasty, its not very often i eat my whole main, but i polished it off, as my chicken and mushroom sauce was so nice...everyone said how nice their food was too,the service was good, staff polite and well turned out, plus the place was super clean, toilets were fresh and clean, even though the hot water pressure could be better,my only criticism is,it could do with some soft furnishings to calm the clitter clatter down a bit. THANK YOU FOR A LOVLEY MEAL...also the price is really good too .....

We took over this delightful tearoom to celebrate with my niece. It's a very pretty tearoom, which has been beautifully decorated. The afternoon tea was delicious with dainty sandwiches generously filled, lashings of tea and wonderful cakes. The poor owner had been let down and was preparing and serving everything herself. She did a brilliant job. There was plenty of food and we were even able to take sandwiches and cakes away with us. It was a very special afternoon.

1. Parking at the entrance is for refs. The rest are behind the cafe 2. The surface is not asphalt 3. There is a trailer with a shower and toilet in the main parking 4. There are two more showers and a toilet in the cafe 5. The parking works with the SNAP system. They give a voucher, but you need to pay an extra 2.5 pounds 6. The food is unfortunately not outstanding. My portion of French fries was fried in stale oil 7. The guys are polite 8. The interior of the cafe is frankly rayposh, but clean and tidy

Had a very nice meal out Tuesday evening with friends at The Star Inn. Friendly staff and food was very tasty. My friends had fish and chips, lasagne and chips and I had halloumi skewers. We were all very happy with our food. New seats were very nice and comfy.

Went here for family birthday. Banqueting menu had chicken, fish, meat, veg option. Food was luke warm on arrival for starters and main, I prefer my food piping hot. Seasonal veg was just huge amount of carrots and beans. Puds lacked excitement for an Al a carte restaurant. What makes this place is the staff. I was taken ill and their kindness was very welcome đ especially a male called Alex. Don't think we would use again for private dining experience but do want to praise staff.

When you only have 2 vegetarian meals on the menu and they donât have one is not a great start. Ordered the food and only a handful of people at the pub but it still took 45 mins for our food to arrive. The roast diner was not good at all. The beef was ok and so were the vegetables. The mash was awful the potatoes had clearly boiled into the water and it was bland and lumpy. The Yorkshire had failed to rise so it was like eating a pancake. Cabbage was stone cold and frozen roast potatoes really? Food here used to be great but since the change of ownership it has seen a terrible decline. We wonât be eating at this local pub again unfortunately.

Visited Pillaton Tea Room for Sunday lunch and it was excellent. I had the turkey which was very tender with all the trimmings. My friends had the beef and it was just as good. The atmosphere and surroundings were very pleasant. Will definitely return.
