Stumbled across this local caff in Essington. Fine place for a brecky or a cuppa and cake. Off the beaten track but certainly worth a visit.

Lovely place for a breakfast. Cheap but big portions. Staff were very friendly. We'd pop back again when in the area.

Went again May 9th 23. Not enough stars, deserves 10. A great place for a hot drink and excellent cakes Even better are the lovely staff. No names of course but it begins with D. The room echoes a bit but it doesn't distract from a charming little schoolroom with good wall art. Clean loos. Plenty of parking. Our cycle club will now have it as a regular Cafe when we are near Essington.

First time here today for an afternoon tea. Delicious, well presented food. Staff can't help you enough. Checking if you need anymore drinks. Very accommodating on the phone. Certainly won t be my last visit. Thank you for a lovely, enjoyable experience.

We try to get here most Saturdays its got a lovely atmosphere being a old school the food is really good and you always get service with a smile a nice way to spend some time over a drink and snack.

Had a lovely cheese and tomato 🍅 omlette with a fresh salad cousin had the baked potato tuna and cheese we enjoyed it very much, people working in there are lovely and friendly went in the charity shop that in the cafe had lots of bargains, can't wait to go in again!!!🤗

Great friendly environment, reminds me of my primary school days as we sat in the old hall. The food was fantastic it did take a while to receive food but at least you know its all cooked fresh and not pre-cooked. You order from the menu and text it through, this is to keep all safe and saves you getting out your seat.

the person who made the comment about the tea rooms smelling of sewage wants to get her sinus sorted out ,as i and my familylove the nice family atmosphere and it always smells of cookingwhich is a lovely smell

Amazing tea rooms - We had a shower party..afternoon tea was superb and catered for dietry individuals - highly recommend for afternoon occasion tea parties.

The people are lovely. The food is lovely. Really disappointed not to be able to book the Edwardian Tearoom for a 70th birthday in January due to a possible relocation into the big room. Also find the state of the floor, from children spilling food and it not being cleaned up ( by the parents, I would hope but obviously left to the busy staff) off putting. The saving grace of the lovely afternoon teas was that it was adults only and that was what we required. So quite sad, all in all.

Been for breakfast this morning. Had full English and it was very very nice well worth the money. Lovely friendly helpful staff. Highly recommend it

Nice afternoon tea, but stacked vegetarian sandwiches with meat/fish sandwiches, so we didn't eat them. Tip - Ask for separate plates/sandwiches if you have dietary requirements

Heart of the community, good food and well priced.

Cheese and onion baguette and a scone. Cheese was nice and sharp and not too much onion which is good. Large home made scone with generous portions of jam and cream All in all it was excellent and well priced.

Went for afternoon tea for mom's birthday, A lovely selection of cakes & sandwiches and Tea & Coffee in constant supply. Catered for specific dietary requirements with no problems. As everyone else has said good quality & reasonable prices. A lovely afternoon. Thank you

An old school building that's now a community centre with an 'old fashioned' tea room. For those that can remember tea service sets and lots of lace (reminds me of my nan's) then why not pop in for a brew. I believe the 'tea' room has to be booked but there's a little area with tables where you can have a drink, some food and cake of the day. There's also a craft area where local crafters display their wares for you to buy. #Nostalgia

Had a lovely afternoon with mom and sisters and the food was great.

Very rude staff , turned her nose up when we asked for English breakfast tea, guy in the back shout just give them normal and then she starting laughing at us. Made us feel very unwelcome and not what you would expect from a local tea room.

Came today after hearing it had improved after the Cliffts had left. Lady who we spoke to was very rude - I asked for English breakfast tea being a tea rooms she laughed at me and said they only do normal tea. I said can you ask if you have any English breakfast the man in the back shouted out to give me normal tea. The place smells like sewerage also not the most pleasant smell unfortunately. Not the most welcoming of places of you aren’t known there I think!

Love coming to the tearooms the staff especially Diane are amazing and super friendly so much so my two boys absolutely adore them ! The cakes are to die for and plenty of selection of yummy lunch time treats for everyone and affordable too

I hold a surgery once a month here and the staff are lovely...once my wife's mobile I will attend it more often..I highly recommend it.

Went here a couple of weeks ago. Lady who served me and my partner looked like she didn't want to be there. When she came to the table to take our order she didn't ask what we wanted she just stood there and nodded her head at us and then wrote down what we asked for and walked off. There was an overwhelming smell of onion coming from the kitchen which was so bad it was making our eyes sting and water. We ended up moving seats and it still didn't help! Bacon was a weird color and my egg was hard. Won't be coming here again.

Had a lovely evening there .. a friend surprise anniversary party... bar staff were friendly. Place clean .

So rude i walked out. Seems like if you're not over 60 your looked down upon.

It's a place to chill out after a nice walk, with very helpful staff, good food and good prices,, our group will continue to go there,,, Keith n eve and the walkers

The old school tea rooms,is a brilliant place,staff friendly, food exellent,and all at a reasonable price.it has the added benefit of a craft shop,the gifts they sell are handmade and are fabulous, ideal with Christmas coming up,I actually bought a couple of gifts today.would recommended these tea rooms to anyone.

Great food at great value! The staff are kind, helpful and patient. (Patience is needed when customers are faced with an array of cakes and decisions are hard to make! Chocolate Mint or Coffee & Walnut.)
