The best restaurants serving British food in Malvern Hills West Midlands

Honestly, one of the best brunches! I have shakshuka and haven’t stopped thinking about it since. My family had pancakes, bacon sandwiches, tea, juice and iced coffees and also enjoyed all of them.

First time here. Lovely location. Right the side of river. Staff were great. The food however is not good value. We had the tapas. The arancini were small balls with just rice inside. And just slightly coloured with which I presume to be the ragu ? No sign of a raging sauce. My brusheta had no hint of garlic or basil ? Just tomatoes and a bit of rocket. Again small portion. The serving of the food was strange aswell. I thought the idea of tapas is to have different foods in front of you at one time , they all canes at different times. The aubergine came 15 mins after the first dish was served. We had eaten the rest by then. Meat balls were ok but again small portion. Shame really as for me the dishes are way overpriced for what ( and when ) you get them. Could be better

The best coffee shop in Malvern! Great coffee, tasty cakes and friendly staff. Dogs always welcome. Why would you want to go anywhere else?

After visiting Witley court we sat in the attractive conservatory here and had a cream tea. It was very good, reasonably priced and brightened up a rainy day.

I had the pleasure of spending a week at The Dog over late December '24 through early January '25. What a fantastic place. B&B was exceptional value for money. Restaurant food was just fantastic, in portion and value! Landlord and staff were just lovely, I can't remember the last time I was made so welcome! Pub was just as welcoming, the regulars took me under their wing almost immediately! If Olde England still exists, it's right here at The Dog. Wonderful. Thank you.

Beautiful takeaway! I called up to order a quiche box, it was ready when I arrived. Absolutely gorgeous! Perfect jacket potato with butter, dressed side salad, slaw and a lovely individual quiche. It’ll be a weekly treat for me from now on, such great value at £6.60. Thank you so much!

Poor service. Staff chatting in the kitchen whilst we waited to be served. Mediocre coffee yet the most expensive in Malvern!

Excellent food and service in a lovely setting. Really great that you are promoting local food, especially liked the blackboard about the water station with a map of your suppliers. We had the Tippy mushrooms on sourdough toast, soup of the day and a hot chocolate. The food was so good we could have eaten it again, if we had room! Thank you for supporting local food suppliers.

Wonderful community cafe, we visit every time we’re in Malvern and it never disappoints. World’s best chocolate cake in particular!! Would highly recommend stopping in, the staff are extremely welcoming!

We celebrated our 40th wedding Anniversary here with all our family. Nothing was too much trouble for our hostess and the food was excellent. The Green Dragon will cater for all ages and food requirements. A lovely relaxing atmosphere and we highly recommend them.

Fantastic cafe, the food is absolutely brilliant and very good service. Well recommended,definitely go there again.

Lovely coffee and cake and very friendly staff. The dog was very welcome too, in spite of what was written on trip adviser. Nice tables and chairs outside with shade. You can hire a Mobility Tramper vehicle to get up to the Beacon. We’ve booked one at the weekend as my husband has not been able to get up the hills for some years now. Will definitely go again.

The station at Great Malvern is an architectural gem and has just been re-vamped, so we went to take a look and it really is a gem. There's another gem to be found there too - Lady Foley's Tea Room - which has been family run for well over 30 years. We had a few coffees and a pot of tea which hit the spot and we were made very welcome. If you're on the station to catch a train, take my tip - arrive about 10 mins early and treat yourself to a hot drink and a slice of home made cake - excellent !

A lovely spot for an after walk drink and slice of cake! Very friendly staff, and a great community feel. Our coffees were delicious and the cake... sublime!
