We had our wedding reception here a week ago it was amazing from start to finish! We can't recommend it enough the food, service, organisation, entertainment just everything we could not fault it. Our wedding co-ordinater Nicky was amazing she went above and beyond for us all the way through thank just isn't enough. We have had nothing but positive comments from our guests about the venue, entertainment and photographer but especially about the food it was out of this world!. You won't be disappointed by booking this venue! Also very accommodating on dietary requirements, also a lot things are included in the wedding package price. Just amazing thank you.

We were so impressed with the value of the package and the apparent organisation, we booked our wedding there and then! At that point we had not sampled anything that came out of the kitchen, but once we began speaking about our wedding venue, it became clear that everyone we spoke to had enjoyed past events there. The size of the venue and location on the river, make it a perfect setting with the grounds maintained to a very high standard. Nikki our wedding co-ordinator made everything feel very easy for us; and I, as the bride had every confidence in them delivering what I wanted on my big day. Having this confidence in them allowed me to unburden and concentrate on other elements. When the day came, Nikki and her team operated with great precision and their relaxed demeanour helped the bridal party feel at ease. Richard the Toastmaster was brilliant at his job and had lots of lovely stories to impart. Having not really sampled a lot of food there, I was somewhat anxious over the quality of the food we might receive. The food came out quickly, was cooked to perfection and served hot! The attention to detail throughout our whole experience and value for money, surpassed our expectations; and guests raved at how tasty it all was, fairing it better than venues they attended that were five times the price. I can’t fault The Holt Fleet and their team one bit, everything ran to plan and a great time was had by all. Thank you Nikki, you did a great job!

Seafood linguine wasn't fresh. I am very disappointed as the location is stunning, though we would have a perfect spot for the future, but definitely never go back.

So went to a family wedding on august bank holiday Monday. Right from the word go the older gentleman was fantastic! You have really hired a gem 💎 there with that guy ALL day he was great. Right from pouring drinks or to just being there and making sure everything went ok. Even had a bit of a laugh with him about the fact he supports West Ham 👌🏼 keep hold of him, he deserves a pay rise.💰

Awful experience yesterday we had booked the large pod, and dinner in the bistro for 18 people after we got married locally yesterday, 2 weeks before we visited the holt sat with a manager who explained to us that there would be a wedding taken place that day so if we stayed in our pod and the bistro we would be fine. She asked me if I would be wearing full bridal and I said yes, on arrival all staff expected us and our Prosecco was chilled waiting in the pod for us, we then got verbally attacked by the other wedding guests to why we were there, who when I tried to explain we had booked food ext Rudely told me to f**k off, the wedding co ordinator man, was absolutely vile and called us liars basically but it was booked for us by the managers, awful management, rubbish/no communication/ Will NEVER dine here again! AWFUL

Our son's wedding was held here on 24th August. The only way to describe it was fantastic. The food was excellent. Charlotte the wedding planner was excellent also Richard the M.C. was amazing. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

I attended a wedding reception here last Friday. Lovely venue in a great location on a beautiful sunny day. Wedding breakfast and evening buffet were both excellent. Extensive choice of drinks at the bar. All staff we spoke to were very pleasant and professional and worked hard to make our time here an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended.

The best Sunday roast I have ever eaten! The staff litterally couldn't do any more for you they were all friendly, welcoming and very attentive. We booked a river pod which cost us £25 but you get a complimentary bottle of prosecco or jug of pimms ect. The views were lovely, the pods were beautiful the service quick and the food banging, will recommend to everyone and the hours drive down the M6 was 100% worth it and I never say that!

Situated on the A4133 on the banks of the river Severn is the wonderful venue. Seating in warmer weather is also available outside and some private pods are available to be reserved for a special occasion. On our visit, we sat outside and the service was very efficient by friendly staff who ensured you were looked after. They restaurant menu is very varied with some daily specials available. The choice will satisfy everyone's taste although we didn't look to see if a gluten free options but they will cater for this. The quality of food is amazing and great value so well worth travelling that extra distance for a dining experience. Food was piping hot, well presented, and plentiful.

First time here even though we live locally, I’ve driven past many times and always thought I must pop in, so glad today we did as had a very nice lunch. Staff were very friendly and helpful, lunch was plentiful and very tasty, my son had a meal from the child’s menu that he really enjoyed also. Will definitely be back.

I recently got married at this place. The whole experience was superb. The wedding coordinator that was assigned to us (Helen) was un flappable.. this was Inspite of our constant changes. The location itself is wonderful. The arrangements from beginning to end were impeccable. The food was beautifully presented, served and tasted great. The beer (for me was a big factor in booking this place ) was as good as it gets … Wye Valleys HPA .. nectar. Every detail was executed superbly and we cannot praise this place high enough. Special thanks to the whole team , bar staff , waiting staff, master of ceremonies and last but not least, Helen (wedding coordinator) you are , and were amazing. Thank you all so much for making our day incredible.. the weather gods also helped….

Have been here several times with both family and friends, it's always been very good but somehow the latest visit wasn't ad good. Food was OK, nothing outstanding, service was ordinary, staff seemed unsure as to what was being delivered. Overall the ambience and atmosphere had changed so will think about returning for next meal.

We had our wedding 26.07.2024 and the only word I can use to summarise is perfection! From our first viewing, to the planning process and the wedding day everything was seamless and easy. Even with Alice heading off on maternity Nikki joined in and made our day amazing. The staff were so helpful and friendly, special shout out to Richard who commanded the day making sure we ran on time. The food was exquisite and there was so so much no one went hungry. The venue it self is just beautiful and even though the pub is open to the public it feels so private. A special thank you to Nikki who listened to everything we wanted and was there everytime we needed her, you are turely amazing. James the DJ was through the venue read the crowd well and kept checking in on the run up to the day and on the day to confirm he had everything correct. All of my guests have used the same words prefect, beautiful and smooth running to describe the day. We honestly can't thank the Holt Fleet enough for making our day so perfect we wouldn't have changed anything! You were already a firm favourite of ours and we can't wait to be able to come back time and time again for food and drinks. Beautiful setting on open covered terrace, overlooking river. Staff were brilliant,friendly, attentive, went over and above.(attending to a party of 8 ,for a birthday) Food was first class,a great menu choice. My pint of HPA ,was probably the best pint of Wye Valley Ale ever! Thank you.

Popped in for lunch. It had been a while since we had been there. It'll be another while, too! The service was, in general, below par.... more attention to detail required. The food was disappointing..... Pork belly bites were overcooked and dry. The burger was in a toasted bun with chips and onion rings. The whole lot of it looked very brown and uninspiring; a bit of side salad may have made it look more appealing. Attention to detail required.

I would give 5 stars, as I have been here before and I know you serve good food. Unfortunately our aperol spritz was not very nice, one of the staff members didn't know how to make it, and made it without prosecco. Some training is needed. Otherwise great place

We were having a well needed day out. We came in to ask if there were any tables outside, which there were quite a few, and the server just said 'nope' and walked away. It was disappointing. I will not be going there again. Edit - having just read the below comment - what on earth are you talking about? I wrote this review on the day it happened and it was only due to the girl being incredibly rude to us when up until that moment we had been having a nice day - and thought that we had found somewhere nice to have a drink - clearly it was not the case. Also, upon reading your response and other responses to other complaints, your customer service manner is also rather appalling! Now I wouldn't come to your restaurant even if you paid me.

I have not been to this establishment for a few years, wow... What a difference the owner has made to this place, very premium finish to all rooms. We had lunch to celebrate my daughter's birthday, the food was amazing... Fully recommend 👌

Our food was hot , tasty, and plentiful .My only niggle is that I had the monkfish curry which was delicious but it was difficult to get the meat from the bone in all the sauce especially when some of the skin is still attached.

Have visited many times and a firm favourite for those in our party for many a year. Sadly our last visit was very disappointing. The waiters/ waitress not to the usual standard and customer service not so attentive despite the restaurant being very quiet..The staff did not appear well versed with the new menu. The Stilton mushrooms looked unappetising and sadly I could not taste any Stilton. The lamb kofter my colleague had was nice but came without the pitta bread and the rice inedible .. The salmon arrived cold and sadly had to be returned. The coffees were just warm.. We will definitely return as we love the setting etc… and always highly rate the Holt Fleet..but thought that it would be useful to know as regular customers we really did notice a difference this time and hope it was just a one off!

Just had our wedding here yesterday and couldn’t have asked for better service and venue, couldn’t do enough for us booked 2 years ago and we have the best memories thanks to them all. Very reasonable prices for package for this day and age, amazing refurbishment done and all our family and friends said it was the best wedding they had been to for a long time, food is excellent. Would recommend here to anyone and not just for a wedding. X

Had a cheeky date night with my fiancé at our favourite pub The Holt Fleet. As ever it didn’t disappoint. We reserved a table via the booking system on the internet in the conservatory over looking the River. A beautiful setting on a sunny summer’s evening. The meals were piping hot, with extremely generous portion sizes. My fiancé had the children’s portion of scampi, they are so large!!!! I had the tempura prawns to start. Genuinely the best I’ve tasted in this country. (Nearly as good as Boat Quay in Singapore) Suffice it to say my beer battered Haddock main was mouthwatering and the rustic fries are a welcome accompaniment. Alongside the mushy peas, it was perfect. 5 stars again to The Holt Fleet

I ust note there is even a menu for dogs which includes cheapa snacks through to a full bwol meal for your four legged friends. We had a couple of plates from the special menu today - a Seafood platter and an American platter (£13 each) which was fun finger food that we shared between us. Simple, honest food with nice dips, fun to share. We have eaten here four or five times over the last couple of years and not had a bad experience.

Checked the menu that was on the website before I booked so we both chose what we would like to eat before we got there. The menu that we were given when we arrived however, was completely different and unfortunately there wasn’t anything on it that we wanted. We advised the waitress of the website being incorrect so I don’t know if it will get rectified. We booked a table in the conservatory and there were flies flying round which also was off putting. Needless to say we made the decision to leave and went elsewhere.

Went for a Saturday evening meal with my husband and two daughters. Starters were excellent and served quickly. Mains then took over an hour to arrive, staff were busy but there were not enough of them as they were working in the bar areas and serving a wedding. The food was well presented but seemed that it had been kept warm in the kitchen before being brought out as my 'medium' sirloin was very well done. The pasta dishes were also very hot and huge. Everything was tasty but the large portions were too much, we were unable to eat it all which is a shame. Smaller portions and not cooking too much would make the meal perfect.

A bit disappointed to be honest .. we had a table booked ... had garlic mushrooms for starters ... only three mushrooms for £7 ... and they weren't very good at all ... rest of the meal was ok'ish. There was a wedding on which restricted our movements down to the river .. no tables to sit down ... ended up leaving as we felt we weren't that important as there was a wedding in place.

Sitting by the river on a beautiful day with excellent food and drink. All the staff were great, with full table service outside. I will be going back.

I would never go here again . … - I tried to call and book a table 3x times and nobody answered… - so we went and then couldn’t park . ( thankfully Sam a waiter sorted that .) - at the bar and an old lady said you have to order outside & was very rude to us .. … so we did that and they said you have to order inside …🤦🏻…. … As we were leaving , another couple said they had the same problem and also left .. my advice . Go to the kings arms up the road … couldn’t fault it 👍☺️ Holt fleet , you should be ashamed of yourselves… Garrie …

Went here for a wedding yesterday. What a beautiful venue. Absolutely stunning grounds and delicious good food with excellent silver service. Cannot fault this place at all. The wedding decorations beautiful too. Would definitely love to return to have a meal in one of those pods!

We had our wedding at The Holt Fleet at the start of May and I cannot recommend enough! The venue is stunning, located next to the river and the team are absolutely incredible. Everyone was so attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious and all of our guests commented on how lovely the food was. Our day was so amazing and we cannot thank the team and our coordinator Alice enough, the day ran so smoothly - it was perfect! Thankyou all so much and we can’t wait to pop back for dinner and drinks x

Myself and my fiancé popped up to The Holt Fleet for some lunch, we didn't pre book yet we were seated immediately, the staff here are honestly really welcoming and nothing is too much. They really do go above and beyond. We had the special, which was the chicken skewers and they were cooked to perfection. We were seated outside in the garden as we wanted to enjoy the sunshine and we noticed how well the grounds are kept, very neat and tidy. You won't be disappointed there. 100% recommend visiting.

Arrived on a hot day walking from Worcester, sat in the first available table but got asked to leave as we came in via the public footpath and not via the main entrance, the table was apparently reserved. We we only wanted a pint and they wouldn't even let us sit on the grass. Absolutely no outside drinking unless you have a table... A total let down for passing traid on a summer's day. End up downing a pint standing in the car park then leaving! We was looking forward to coming to this pub but a total let down, not welcoming for people who just turn up.... If it's busy, forget it! We will not be returning 😠

Been coming to the holt fleet for two years now, always brilliant food and the service is always great. Very close by to Shelsley Walsh aswell, good for food after watching the racing. Would very much recommend to friends and family. Especially good when we can sit outside, with table service.

Great location, not many tables outside but we were lucky to get a pod without reserving on a Saturday at 4pm. Good menu, drinks as per, inside of the pub is gorgeous. The pods are lovely, little sun tap over the river. We had sharing chicken board at £24, loads of chicken cooked different ways but was fairly bland. The sauce to dip were good. Lovely location, friendly staff and a good food selection 👍🏽

A friend and I had afternoon tea and im sorry Holt Fleet we were very disappointed .We had to send the finger sandwiches back due to the bread being very dry, then to be told that they would have been put up at 0900 that morning which I feel is far too early. The girls were very good and changed them straight away . The view I have to say was gorgeous as were the table settings which were extremely clean. The afternoon tea was quite pricey compared to other teas with miniature cakes i would say bite size. There was no gesture of good will .The lady who served us did not hesitate to get our finger sandwiches changed We did take our cakes home for our families to try. Would we recommend the afternoon tea NO but absolutely for a cuppa.

Went in with the kids after school, we were there just after 5:00pm so very quiet (perfect), kids were trying open the open wrong door to get in, which got the look of death from the chap who greeted us, he took us to our seats and we didn’t see him again (not a child person I guess ??) Small kids menu, if you have fussy eaters might be a bit challenging? But for us all good, burger n chips for the lad sausage and chips for the littleun, I had scampi and chips food came in a bowl ?? But plenty of scampi tho and all meals were tasty and no complaints, the two ladies were friendly and nothing was a problem. Would definitely go again without hesitation.

What a pleasant surprise, great location, great food, great service. Nothing beats sitting in the garden on a nice sunny day by the river enjoying lunch. Highly recommended.

What an amazing place Holt Fleet by the river is, it has excellent quality food made fresh to order and the service was spot on too The decor is very tastefully done but also very welcoming I had the home made camembert wedges that were absolutely delicious, the haddock in batter was so fresh and the batter was light and crispy, the best place I've been for a while, definitely come back again soon

A great place for a wedding reception

Wow. This place is stunning. Has a wonderful bar area and views time for! Our meals were all delicious. I had the lamb burger and it was the best burger I think I’ve ever had! The lamb was soft and slightly sweet and chargrilled to perfection. It makes my mouth water thinking about it too! The pub has a fantastic beer garden with pods and is definitely dog friendly. I live the way it has a dog menu 👏🏻

Came here for the first time last week to celebrate my Dad's 65th birthday - so impressed! Every member of staff we spoke to were lovely, the food was delicious and were HUGE portions, the cocktails were divine, and the location along the river was ideal. Loved our lunch here, will be planning to visit again soon!

We chose The Holt Fleet for our wedding day and it was everything we could have hoped for and so much more. From the moment we visited the wedding fayre back in January 2022 we knew there was nowhere else we would want to get married. The staff are friendly, accommodating, welcoming and can't do enough for you. The food is unreal, so much so that we had lunch at The Holt the day before our wedding and again two days afterwards before heading home. The way the venue is set up and decorated is absolutely beautiful. The Bentley is an extra special touch. The day runs so smoothly. Everyone says their wedding day is perfect but it truly was perfect and we would do it all over again! Called in here after visiting Blenheim Palace on the way home. It was late afternoon, and we were unsure if they would still be serving food, as a lot of places seem to stop serving food after 3.00pm since Covid. Well, no need to worry here, they are doing things properly here, made to feel very welcome, staff were really friendly and efficient. It is an excellent menu, with a very good selection, plus a special board. The food came quite quickly. It was delicious, extremely well presented, and very tasty. This establishment is situated in a lovely spot next to the river. I would imagine it is beautiful in the summer, although it was very inviting on a cold, wet afternoon in March. Highly recommended.

Great venue, it was a bit difficult to get to due to road closures nearby the pub but it's worth it! Amazing food, full of flavour and excellence choices on the menu. Service was a little bit slow and the chap who served us seemed new. But it wasn't a problem. Beautiful views of the river and clean toilets too. Will return soon!

We booked a pod by the river for mother's day, it was lovely and warm, blankets in there if we needed them, the jug of complementary Pimm's was the best I had ever tasted, and a lovely box of cakes and balloon. The roast was delicious and plenty of it, despite the rain the staff were amazing, couldn't have done enough for us. Thank you for a great experience.

We visited on Sunday. Very disappointing. The mozzarella in beer batter starter was tasty but comprised three small pieces Not worth £6.50. We ordered lamb shanks but were then told they had run out and they had also run out of Yorkshire pudding. The vegetable portion was tiny and when I raised this with the waiter he fetched more. Unfortunately by the time they came I’d eaten my meal. Not what we’d hoped for and it came in at a hefty £90.

We had a very good Sunday lunch. The food and service were first class. The staff are very friendly. Well worth a visit.
