The Holt Fleet in Malvern Hills

Was a lovely place. The food was good, the puddings were amazing but the staff could do with being a little more attentive. Also, being ushered off the table more than half an hour prior to the allocated time was a little bit rude. Paying and the bar were all a little unorganised.

A superb Sunday lunch accompanied by great service and a very nice venue.

Went with my husband, mum and brother for Sunday lunch. Great as always. Helpful, friendly staff. We all went with the Sunday lunch (£20 main course. Choice of three meats, or all three. Roast potatoes, mashed potatoes. Mixed green vegetables. Carrots. Parsnips. Stuffing. Yorkshire pudding.(homemade)Swede and extra gravy. My mum only managed a child’s portion and that was big enough. The other meals we saw passing through looked equally good including burgers, bear battered haddock. You can dine in the conservatory, bistro , lounge bar or outside with a lovely riverside view.

I was working at the public house and I was happy I would work there again . I have the most up respect for the management and the staff I have never had a bad thing to say .

Really nice place to eat it's next to river so when the weather's good you can sit outside,food is excellent.

Took my daughter and parents for a meal yesterday lunchtime. Very attentive service, food was perfect.. we had gammon , kievs and a panini . My mom said it was the best panini she had ever had ! . All meals were lovely and nicely presented. We sat in the lounge/bar as we had my daughter’s dog with us . Very comfortable, clean and welcoming. Will definitely go again and look forward to the nice weather so we can sit outside on the riverbank . Thoroughly recommend

Came for a family Sunday lunch, the pub was so busy but the staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. We had to wait in the lounge whilst the table was being set up but we were more than happy to do so as the staff were rushed off their feet. The roast dinners were amazing, huge portions and hot. We even booked in again for a few weeks time for Sunday lunch.

We came for a meal on valentines evening. Unfortunately the food was mediocre. The steak kebab looked like it as boiled with no flavour & the sauce and chips were luke warm. The service was brilliant however the atmosphere in the conservatory was really quiet so we felt we couldn’t make comments on our food to the sever as everyone would hear and look over. Really disappointed as had high expectations.

Beautiful homemade fish pie the best I have ever eaten ..it was on the ’specials’ menu.. Please do keep it on the main menu..Compliments to the chef!… will be returning to have again. Pudding coffee and service excellent.

My wife and I came here for an evening meal on Valentines day. The food was absolutely delicious with really generous portions and the staff really looked after us and we very attentive. Would highly recommend and will definitely return.

Whilst on holiday in the area, we decided to try here for Sunday lunch, and my word, we are so glad we did!! Everything was delicious! Perfectly cooked vegetables, the meat was beautiful, everything was just perfect, including the service. Perfect setting for a perfect lunch. We will definitely return if we are ever in the area.

We booked a table for 5 but arrive 30 minutes early, the restaurant had our table ready and were happy for us to come early. The servers were attentive making sure we had all we needed. We only had main course because the portion sizes were massive which was fantastic. I had the burger and it was incredible. The garlic’s bread was lush too. Will definitely come here again especially in the summer with the beautiful view !

Great stop off at the Holt Fleet while visiting Worcester. Really friendly service and delicious, hearty food. They have a large dog friendly bar area and couldn't do enough to make us and our dogs feel welcome and relaxed. Also ORDER THE CHEESECAKE!

Visited for a birthday mid week. Had the lamb rump for main with mint gravy which was all fantastic! The best part for me was the pudding of the day which home made bread & butter pudding with custard. This was simply amazing! Not had anything like it since i was a child. 3 of our party also had this and loved it! Should be on the menu full time 😊

Dropped in to The Holt Fleet for spur of the moment Lunch, didn't have a booking but we were made most welcome and a table was found very quickly. The atmosphere was very pleasant and we instantly felt at home. The staff were friendly and pleasant. There was a good choice of food, which was excellent, in both taste and presentation. Well worth a visit

Had a lovely lunch at the Holt Fleet catching up with some friends where the food and service was great The christmas decorations were lovely and the place was as beautiful as ever Especially enjoyed the creme egg Sundae which was very yummy and highly recommended

All three have been wonderful with great food and even better atmosphere. The Grinch was brilliant this morning, most definitely a memorable occasion for us all. I can’t recommend The Holt Fleet more the food the staff the atmosphere and the location are all wonderful!

Service appalling. Had to wait and wait for our drinks to be ordered when we arrived. In between that we had to get the staffs attention. We had to prompt them for dessert menu. Again waiting a while when again we had to go and get th e staffs attention. Has this problem in the past but it has been a fair while since we came and thought this issue has been resolved. Will not be returning in a hurry.

A beautiful xmas high tea. Plenty of food and unlimited tea,coffee, hot chocolate and mulled wine. It was very good value.

We got married!!! From the first discussions with The Holt Fleet , to the collection of all our cards and presents the day after, everything (and I mean everything) was absolutely faultless. Our wedding coordinator Charlotte was calming, super professional and knowledgeable which made my wife very much at ease. We chose to have the future Mrs. B collected and delivered in the Fleet’s beautiful Bentley Continental. What an amazing start to the day. Richard, our MC (provided as part of the package by The Fleet), was simply brilliant. So a heartfelt thank you for your service sir!!! We chose a smaller wedding breakfast which, after the amazing civil service, (thank you to Worcestershire registrars) was simply beautiful. The room was transformed, after the service, whilst our photos were being taken, to the most stunning set up. Joanne and I were hugely impressed. Then, after dinner and the speeches, we welcomed our evening guests into a ‘full on’ party night in the main function room. DJ James (again included in our chosen Fleet package) was sublime. We provided a play list suggestion to him and James did the rest. All of our evening guests really enjoyed the resultant party 🎊 🎉 vibe. An extensive buffet was laid out for the evening guests (again included in the chosen package) which was just brilliant. In Précis, faultless and perfect from start to finish. A HUGE than you to The Holt Fleet andall their management and staff for an unforgettable day and night. Our wedding was totallyPERFECT from start to finish. When we got there, we saw a sign that said 'overflow car park'. Absolutely accurate, the river had overflowed into the car park, which was now a pond. Service was a little slow to start with but then improved. Food was excellent, so was the company and the atmosphere. Defo going back some time.

We spent the afternoon at The Holt Fleet for the Santa pod experience. The pods were beautifully decorated, the staff were lovely and the food was superb. Santa and Helen the elf visited the pods and they were brilliant with the kids. It was a wonderful afternoon and a great way to start the festive celebrations. We can't recommend this place enough.

Met up with group of friends for a " Festive Afternoon Tea" this afternoon. What an absolutely brilliant " tea" it was too!!...once seated, service was prompt and efficient by staff...spot on with request for one special dietary request and sandwiches and cakes fresh and delicious. Such a nice change from having usual festive xmas dinner. All in all good value and simply " perfect". Thankyou Holt Fleet!

Booked the Prosecco Pod for a surprise meal for the wife. Something a little different, was heated well and good view of the river .

Absolutely beautiful place, welcoming, the staff are second to none they are like trojans. This place made my cousins wedding day all and more than you can dream of they were accommodating, food was stunning. The management are also lovely, down to earth people there are no words except get there and enjoy.

So, we turned up on a wedding day! We were shown to our table and had to wait 20 mins for someone to come and order our drinks even though the table behind had their food before we had drink and we arrived at the same time. The food came out eventually after over an hour and to be honest it was awful!!!! Overpriced food and terrible quality, I’ve had better ready meals from Iceland. The bill came to £170 and no way I was paying for food which was dreadful and a very poor service. I obviously spoke to a manager to get money off which was sorted. Honestly, think twice about visiting here as there are pubs 1000 times better within a few miles! Sorry Holt Fleet but no way I will be returning!

We visited Saturday evening and booked a pod, it was fantastic toasty warm ,nice linen and just really cozy, the service and food were outstanding, thank you for looking after us as it can’t be easy when you have weddings on as well but you would never have known, even got to see fireworks! Couldn’t have been better, see you again soon.

Place is fantastic! Great atmosphere! Amazingly clean throughout! Sunday road meat was insanely good, veg was great too but a bit on the cold side. Desert menu was great, however my partner has an egg allergy, the team did the best to checked everything on the packaging and brought thr products to us so we could read ourselves. However, we had a vegan cheesecake to cater for the egg allergy but was coated with a light dusting of icing suger which can contain egg (which this did contain when checked after eating some) causing major concern after double checking by the waitress. I understand we all make mistakes but this should have been checked and goes for all allergies. Waitress was very apologetic and couldn't say sorry more, she kindly took it off the bill for us. I'm sure we will come back again as the food and service was fantastic!

This is the ideal place for a nice meal out. Great atmosphere whenever I’ve been there, plenty of parking, good all round menu and quality food to match. Served quickly and wasn’t disappointed by the portion size that appeared shortly after..well worth the price. Attentive staff that can’t do enough for you even when the tables are full of other people out for Sunday lunch!..and if they can deal with all the special requests from my fussy table with a smile they’re doing a great job!

We met up to celebrate a birthday. Overall, the meal was ok, but the Plaice on the specials board was far from special. Warm chunky chips and a piece of overcooked supermarket breaded Plaice was uninviting and nowhere near the quality of the other dishes. A special should be of the same standard as the rest of the menu, if not better. I suppose I should have realised that all efforts were with churning out multiple Sunday roasts! We have been 3 times in the last year, and on each occasion something was at fault.

Known The Holt Fleet for many more years than I can remember. We stopped off for a brief break on our way home from a holiday. They were having a wedding reception there and it was beautifully decorated for it. It's a lovely place to visit, especially on warm days. Very nice alongside the River Severn. Recommend.

I just popped in to make delivery on Sunday afternoon and it was packed and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Good atmosphere.

My great friend and I dined with you again today.. We had a gammon each, (again) which was (again) incredible.. We followed that with a pavlova, which we didn't realise was created by Daisy's own fair hand.. It was wonderful.. Daisy was very friendly, helpful, and kind, in the wake of losing my dear mother 3 weeks ago today.. Her friendliness meant a lot to me in the light of recent sadness.. In truth all the staff are lovely, but Daisy looked after us today... Best wishes Dave

We had Afternoon tea as a treat for my mother’s birthday, beautifully presented lovely staff. Would recommend more variety of sandwiches and more savoury items.

Nice place, but very pure communication between staff to staff and staff to client,went for nice roast but when I did booking there was no information that there is no roast after 6pm and our booking was for 6... anyway we got something else. Let's go to Food, didn't feel solt in mashed potatoes, vegetables over cooked but still ok rest of the food nice.

Our wedding co-ordinater Nicky was amazing she went above and beyond for us all the way through thank just isn't enough. We have had nothing but positive comments from our guests about the venue, entertainment and photographer but especially about the food it was out of this world!. You won't be disappointed by booking this venue! Also very accommodating on dietary requirements, also a lot things are included in the wedding package price. Just amazing thank you.

Seafood linguine wasn't fresh. I am very disappointed as the location is stunning, though we would have a perfect spot for the future, but definitely never go back.

Awful experience yesterday we had booked the large pod, and dinner in the bistro for 18 people after we got married locally yesterday, 2 weeks before we visited the holt sat with a manager who explained to us that there would be a wedding taken place that day so if we stayed in our pod and the bistro we would be fine. She asked me if I would be wearing full bridal and I said yes, on arrival all staff expected us and our Prosecco was chilled waiting in the pod for us, we then got verbally attacked by the other wedding guests to why we were there, who when I tried to explain we had booked food ext Rudely told me to f**k off, the wedding co ordinator man, was absolutely vile and called us liars basically but it was booked for us by the managers, awful management, rubbish/no communication/ Will NEVER dine here again! AWFUL

So went to a family wedding on august bank holiday Monday. Right from the word go the older gentleman was fantastic! You have really hired a gem 💎 there with that guy ALL day he was great. Right from pouring drinks or to just being there and making sure everything went ok. Even had a bit of a laugh with him about the fact he supports West Ham 👌🏼 keep hold of him, he deserves a pay rise.💰

Our son's wedding was held here on 24th August. The only way to describe it was fantastic. The food was excellent. Charlotte the wedding planner was excellent also Richard the M.C. was amazing. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

I attended a wedding reception here last Friday. Lovely venue in a great location on a beautiful sunny day. Wedding breakfast and evening buffet were both excellent. Extensive choice of drinks at the bar. All staff we spoke to were very pleasant and professional and worked hard to make our time here an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended.

The best Sunday roast I have ever eaten! The staff litterally couldn't do any more for you they were all friendly, welcoming and very attentive. We booked a river pod which cost us £25 but you get a complimentary bottle of prosecco or jug of pimms ect. The views were lovely, the pods were beautiful the service quick and the food banging, will recommend to everyone and the hours drive down the M6 was 100% worth it and I never say that!

Situated on the A4133 on the banks of the river Severn is the wonderful venue. Seating in warmer weather is also available outside and some private pods are available to be reserved for a special occasion. On our visit, we sat outside and the service was very efficient by friendly staff who ensured you were looked after. They restaurant menu is very varied with some daily specials available. The choice will satisfy everyone's taste although we didn't look to see if a gluten free options but they will cater for this. The quality of food is amazing and great value so well worth travelling that extra distance for a dining experience. Food was piping hot, well presented, and plentiful.

First time here even though we live locally, I’ve driven past many times and always thought I must pop in, so glad today we did as had a very nice lunch. Staff were very friendly and helpful, lunch was plentiful and very tasty, my son had a meal from the child’s menu that he really enjoyed also. Will definitely be back.

I recently got married at this place. The whole experience was superb. The wedding coordinator that was assigned to us (Helen) was un flappable.. this was Inspite of our constant changes. The location itself is wonderful. The arrangements from beginning to end were impeccable. The food was beautifully presented, served and tasted great. The beer (for me was a big factor in booking this place ) was as good as it gets … Wye Valleys HPA .. nectar. Every detail was executed superbly and we cannot praise this place high enough. Special thanks to the whole team , bar staff , waiting staff, master of ceremonies and last but not least, Helen (wedding coordinator) you are , and were amazing. Have been here several times with both family and friends, it's always been very good but somehow the latest visit wasn't ad good. Food was OK, nothing outstanding, service was ordinary, staff seemed unsure as to what was being delivered. Overall the ambience and atmosphere had changed so will think about returning for next meal.

We had our wedding 26.07.2024 and the only word I can use to summarise is perfection! From our first viewing, to the planning process and the wedding day everything was seamless and easy. Even with Alice heading off on maternity Nikki joined in and made our day amazing. The staff were so helpful and friendly, special shout out to Richard who commanded the day making sure we ran on time. The food was exquisite and there was so so much no one went hungry. The venue it self is just beautiful and even though the pub is open to the public it feels so private. A special thank you to Nikki who listened to everything we wanted and was there everytime we needed her, you are turely amazing. James the DJ was through the venue read the crowd well and kept checking in on the run up to the day and on the day to confirm he had everything correct. All of my guests have used the same words prefect, beautiful and smooth running to describe the day. We honestly can't thank the Holt Fleet enough for making our day so perfect we wouldn't have changed anything! You were already a firm favourite of ours and we can't wait to be able to come back time and time again for food and drinks. Beautiful setting on open covered terrace, overlooking river. Staff were brilliant,friendly, attentive, went over and above.(attending to a party of 8 ,for a birthday) Food was first class,a great menu choice. My pint of HPA ,was probably the best pint of Wye Valley Ale ever! Thank you.

Popped in for lunch. It had been a while since we had been there. It'll be another while, too! The service was, in general, below par.... more attention to detail required. The food was disappointing..... Pork belly bites were overcooked and dry. The burger was in a toasted bun with chips and onion rings. The whole lot of it looked very brown and uninspiring; a bit of side salad may have made it look more appealing. Attention to detail required.
