The station at Great Malvern is an architectural gem and has just been re-vamped, so we went to take a look and it really is a gem. There's another gem to be found there too - Lady Foley's Tea Room - which has been family run for well over 30 years. We had a few coffees and a pot of tea which hit the spot and we were made very welcome. If you're on the station to catch a train, take my tip - arrive about 10 mins early and treat yourself to a hot drink and a slice of home made cake - excellent !

Friendly welcome, great sandwiches and cakes in a quiet Victorian setting. Easy to miss it if you’re not on the train as you have to go onto the platform and there’s no board outside though.

I can recommend anyone who enjoys a civilised life style not rushing about. Based on one of the station platforms at Great Malvern, this little tea room is like stepping back in time. Perfect change from identical corporate coffee houses which festoon our towns and cities. During warmer days it is pleasant to sit outside on the platform and simply watch the world go by. Forget expensive stress management courses and try this place.

This beautiful tea room has been created from Lady Foley's old waiting room and has stained glass windows. The owner is very friendly and we had a great pot of tea there sitting on the platform. It might not sound like much but you don't always get great pots of tea with proper china and this was. It was a treat.

I met friends here for lunch. There is parking immediately outside so very convenient. It is a delightful tea room in the beautiful Victorian Great Malvern Station. The station itself is worth visiting. It is built from Malvern Rag stone in a French Gothic style. Canopy columns have decorated mouldings of flowers and foliage, it’s very striking. The cafe itself is decorated in Victorian style and serves a good range of dishes, snacks and delicious cakes. The service is friendly and helpful and all in all a lovely cafe to visit, especially if you don’t want the same old ‘ chain ‘ experience.

Stopped for coffee and cakes in the afternoon. The tea room and indeed whole railway station have lots of character and it was warm enough to eat out on the platform. Cakes were excellent including the gluten free lemon cake, though I personally would have preferred it without the coconut topping. The lady running the place treated the gluten free status very seriously and checked whether I was happy it had been made in a kitchen with flour, but in a separately washed out tin. Lovely to see a traditional tearoom like this still in business.

We popped in for a swift drink, headshot chocolate, was really nice The cafe is fabulous, full of railway memorabilia. They make all their cakes and quiches on the premises, they also have gluten free options. They had a freshly baked gluten free chocolate cake, but sadly it was too hot for the lady to ice, so I missed out. It smelt amazing.. Such nice people too, offered to let us have eggs as the corvid crisis had left us eggless.

This was during the late March weekend go the coronavirus pandemic just before everywhere was closing for public health reasons. We had received a message that people didn't know Lady Foley's Tea Room was open so we went along to collect a takeaway meal for lunch which we ate later on in a quiet car park on the hills. Sandwiches are made while you wait and we chose cheese and pickle. Also had victoria sponge, coffee cake and cold drinks.

Great Malvern railway station is quite a walk from the centre of town, we had a 20 minute wait for our train, so we were quite pleased to find this tearoom on the platform of the charming historic station. Whilst waiting for a train to Evesham at Great Malvern Station we went into Lady Foley's for coffee and cake. There wasn't really anything in the way of 'treat eats' to tempt me so we just had a coffee. This is a quaint, charming and historic station platform cafe but in my opinion the variety and quality of refreshments available was just average.

We first came across this delightful tearoom on the main platform (1) at Great Malvern station when we were catching a train to Worcester. It is run by two very dedicated ladies who provide a very pleasant tea, coffee or light lunch in the room originally set up for Victorian benefactor Lady Emily Foley to wait for her train. Now, with attractive furnishings and Victorian decor, it is a great asset to Malvern, which should remain as the sheer delight which very many train travellers and tourists to the beautiful Malvern Hills enjoy. My wife and I now call in regularly, whether catching the train or not, to enjoy its fayre and friendly atmosphere.

The whole station is a gem. But then to discover this lovely tearoom, redolent of times past and with a true history of its own, (but with excellent cakes and a good cup of coffee amongst a large additional choice of meals,) is a wonderful surprise. One can of course visit it while waiting for a train, or even changing trains. But the tearoom can be visited as well for a social trip to the past, a rendezvous, to wallow in those times past, to note photos on the walls of those times past.....or to catch up with the daily newspaper. Its whole historic atmosphere is totally relaxing and restful............... but enlivening. I hear that the café's existence is threatened by a vast increase in its rent., but I am sure that, when all the above thoughts are known to Authority, then reason will prevail. I hope so!

OK - but five stars? Yes indeed and though it might be a station buffet this is so very much more. The mother and daughter who run this tea room produce the most delicious food in a really interesting room. The food is superlative and the care top notch. The nice daughter told me when my return train would arrive and as it was a little tight for time wrapped my pudding AND included a napkin. That is what good service means. I was lucky to travel with a train driver who knew the Tea Room and I am so glad I took his advice. Be sure to visit the UP platform. Also accessible from the road

Limited menu, although some specials were on the board.; good choice of desserts. A very busy pub with people constantly pushing past from the garden and caravan site. Did not like the fact that the cat sits and walks on top of the tables and that there is a notice implying that the cat is not too friendly. Manager is a little brush, which was off putting and we have not eaten there since.
