After visiting Witley court we sat in the attractive conservatory here and had a cream tea. It was very good, reasonably priced and brightened up a rainy day.

We have not visited here for a couple of years but we were taking family to English Heritage to see the fountain, it’s about an hours drive to get there & the driveway to the tea room from main road has been much improved since our last visit. We had a selection of sandwiches and soup, the quality of the food was great and as others have said previously….proper fillings in the sandwiches and good quality bread, we had Brie and pear and coronation chicken - was probably the best I’ve had in years ! A lovely tea room with lovely food and nice friendly service

We had a fabulous afternoon tea. Delicious home made sandwiches with proper fillings eg salmon and cream cheese, proper ham not your wafer thin plastic stuff! Tasty locally grown cherry tomatoes as garnish. The scones and cakes were equally delicious. They kept the tea flowing. A really enjoyable experience.

Would absolutely recommend this gorgeous cafe for coffee and cake as well as lunch. The young staff members were very welcoming and friendly- you order at the counter and they deliver to your table inside or in the very pretty, quiet garden. Very dog friendly outside or in the conservatory area. We enjoyed coffee and cake before our visit to Witley Court and lunchtime sandwiches after. Would recommend the ham or the smoked salmon and cream cheese. Delicious 😋 We bought some Witley strawberries to take away and they were very good too.

What a little gem of a place x We came for High Tea and we weren’t disappointed, the sandwich selection wasn’t what I was expecting but they were amazing and worth getting out my food comfort box for 🤩 the scones were to die for and more than enough cream and jam and what can we say about the truly delicious homemade cakes x so worth the money with outstanding service, an amazing atmosphere and simply delightful setting x Highly recommend and we are going back for lunch because the food on the next table looked amazing too xx

Witley Court is a stunning place to visit anyway, but the garden tearooms really is the icy on the cake when making a visit. The staff are super friendly and very helpful. The surroundings of the walled garden are just a delight. Plenty of seating and the staff bring your food out to you. Had a relaxing visit with tea, coffee and cakes in this sun trap of a garden. Inside there is a little shop selling very reasonably priced cards and gifts. The cafe prices too very reasonable. Would highly recommend visiting here.

Very disappointed! We waited in line for 10 minutes and they had quit serving sandwiches when we got to the counter. We were then told it was just sweets and drinks. We asked for a piece of chocolate cake and we’re told they were not planning to unwrap it but would if we really really wanted it they would. Maybe two more really really comments. Too busy tiding up than tending to customers.

Although we have been here many times before, today was not a very pleasant experience. After ordering our food and the server being a little bit rude we sat down to wait. Didn’t think too much as it is was busy. Our food came out and we noticed that the paninis were a bit dry. We soon realised that they were made out of a bread roll instead of the usual style panini. I got up to mention this and had to repeat myself to 3 different staff. Each time being told that is the bread they use, at which point i stated then maybe the sandwich was over toasted. The older female (manager or supervisor I’m not sure, was the rude one initially), asked what i would like and i said i would ask my husband if he wants something else. She then said i will just give you a refund. Upon coming out with my refund she was rude again telling me that panini is just italian for bread when in actual fact and i quote “ While a Sandwich in general represents anything between the two breads , Panini uses a specific Italian bread like Focaccia or Ciabatta.” I will ensure that in future i will not be eating lunch at this cafe, especially with the cost, quality and service received.

The tea rooms are simply brilliant... !!! The staff are totally helpful, cheerful and very speedy and when I rang up this morning to see if they were serving lunches today, the lady was so sweet and kind in explaining their menu timings and gave great advice as to when to plan the visit.... which we did! The menu simply but delightfully exploits local grown and reared produce and given the culinary skills of the team, this means eating here is a very nice experience. My wife and I had paninis - and then homemade cakes with our tea and we enjoyed this while sitting out in the wonderfully romantic `private` garden which was a secret part of the adjacent Witley Court. Prices - very, very reasonable. I realise that Covid limitations can influence one`s choice of somewhere to enjoy a meal out - but the indoor tea-room is spacious and very nice, the gardens are so delightfully spaced it means one can feel totally safe and that still can matter. So - if you are in the area - call in, see the Court, the beautifully stunning church and then have an utterly fantastic lunch or tea and add to the experience.

We used the tearooms after visiting Witley Court & gardens and then a visit to the stunning church. We witnessed everywhere being sanitised. Sign tells you to pick a table where the chairs are resting against the table as these are the ones that have been cleaned. We chose a table, you then make your way over to the ordering desk outside, place your order and pay and make your way back to your table. Our drinks and cake were brought over to us, quite quick considering most tables were in use when we arrived but are well spaced apart. Cake very delicious, the decaf tea was not the best one, quite weak to be honest, Big tea pot for two and extra hot water to top the pot up, still drunk 3 cups as so thirsty.Would visit again, but please change brand of tea, Yorkshire decaf has a better flavour. Always very friendly staff here, and the cakes and scones are delicious. The plain scone I had was excellent, very light on the inside and a nice firm crust. It’s not too expensive for where and what it is. The inside of the tea room is ridiculously hot. There is no relief so the only comfortable option is outside in the glorious gardens. The only really disappointing part was the jam with the cream tea. It was more like a burnt sugar syrup with a hint of fruit and, unfortunately, spoilt the overall flavour of the cream tea. Still, very much worth a visit.

Choose from the conservatory, heavy with the scent of lilies, or the lawns, with walls of wisteria, you couldn't wish for a prettier, more peaceful place to sit and drink tea! The food is excellent and very reasonably priced and the service friendly.

I love this place! Lovely sandwiches, seriously amazing cakes, and best of all a proper cream tea. They've got beautiful gardens with acres of space, and a lovely big conservatory if it's too chilly. The staff are super friendly and so welcoming. We often make a journey stop here if we're in the area. Don't miss the stunning church right next door.

Called in for lunch on probably the wettest day in May! Delicious pea and celery soup and excellent bread. The coffee cake we had was the best we'd EVER had...anywhere! Service very good as well

In the best tradition of British Garden Tea Rooms... Light lunches and coffee, cake and tea. Reasonably priced, good service and clean loos.

Tried this and will not do so again. Far too expensive and accessibility for wheel chairs etc not great. Staff lovely though could not fault them. Hot food arrived luke warm and not nice to eat at that temperature. Salad had grit in it so clearly not washed properly and have eaten elsewhere for less for the same on menu.

Arrived at 15.30 on Bank Holiday Monday to be told the kitchen was closed, so we couldn’t have a ‘High Tea’ as advertised on the blackboard. Sandwiches and savouries were clearly therefore unavailable. Annoying therefore that two separate members of staff appeared with savoury food whilst we were there. It’s a shame these unpublished rules spoil so many places. Generally the place is nice, but don’t come expecting to be able to have more than a cake at 15.30.

Myself and a friend visited The Bridge for the Sunday Carvery. It was excellent and superb value for money! We had the carvery and a pudding which was also excellent.

Staff are extremely friendly and always up for a great laugh. Portion sizes are very large, great value for money. Wide range of drinks to suit either a quiet night out or even a messy one. Amazing atmosphere all around be it in the restaurant or the bar. I discovered this little gem on accident, it was a very happy accident and I will be returning without a doubt. Thanks Garry and team

When we got there, we saw a sign that said 'overflow car park'. Absolutely accurate, the river had overflowed into the car park, which was now a pond. Service was a little slow to start with but then improved. Food was excellent, so was the company and the atmosphere. Defo going back some time.

Four of us had a light lunch here yesterday. We had hoped to sit outside by the lake but it was cold so we were in the bistro which is lovely. We all ordered sandwiches which were delicious and presented beautifully with a small selection of dressed salad leaves . We all had banana sponge pudding with toffee sauce and ice cream - a bit like sticky toffee pudding but even better. The staff were immaculately turned out, and genuinely welcoming and helpful. This is such a lovely place and we will definitely be back before long.
