The best restaurants serving British food in Dudley West Midlands

A large restaurant with an interesting menu. The very tasty meatballs were served with a lovely sauce and more pasta than I could eat. The extensive drinks menu did not include any stouts, which was a disappointment. Service was efficient.

Unfriendly service to start, a large kebab meat and chips was in a small box with barely any meat or sauce in it! RIP off price for the portion. Expected high quality for the price but it was greasy and flavourless. Fish was drowning in grease, we had it wrapped separately and the paper was sodden as well as the fish. Afraid to say it’s not the same Blue submarine as back in the day! Barely any customers in on a Friday was a sign I shouldn’t have ignored.

Went last night had a great night first time coming here had a GP on the karaoke me and Clive will definitely come back here again great beer great service never had any food but it was late very friendly atmosphere loved it

Really enjoyed my food the mixed grill was excellent

Went for 1 drink at 10.15 pm ended up having 2 great staff all creating good atmosphere

Cannot fault the quality of the food at all. The issue I have is the portion size. I thought it was a child’s portion. The landlady was so kind and understanding and advised that it was controlled by Marstons. Sorry Marstons but for £10 I’m sure you will see by the photo that I was shocked by the lack of food for the price. Again, the food quality was superb but I couldn’t get over the portion size and looked around on the table to see if I had missed something. Great place. Great staff. Marstons need to do something about it because I had one foot out the door before the lady came over to see the disbelief in my face. Thanks to the lady, I might think about coming back.

Standard pub food, great after a dog walk. They have an indoor room that dogs are allowed in as well. Very close to the nature reserve & free parking as long as you put your reg in when you go inside

Overpriced now. 6 quid for large chips, and wasn’t even that large. 3.20 for a regular even. Food was always good and still is though in fairness. Just a shame about the price.

Went for both breakfast and dinner, although we arrived late in the evening for dinner they were still happy to accommodate and were overall very friendly, I has the spicy chicken burger which came with fries and coleslaw and was delicious, for breakfast had full English and continental and was again very tasty, even with allergies staff were helpful and happy to accommodate, overall good experience.

Fabulous food, very enjoyable, delivered quickly, hot and tasty food, great value for money , excellent service , would highly recommend for a good old fashioned fish n chips .

It's a very well run pub the manager is hard working and so are the bar staff,great atmosphere we drink there regularly food is very good, a great pub to be in

Been here a few times now , we went last Sunday and despite there being having to wait for food it was served perfectly , meals were great and our party really enjoyed it , staff are always friendly and the manager is always helpful
