**Disappointing Experience — Serious Food Safety Concerns** We visited The Farmhouse (215 Beechwood Avenue, Coventry CV5 6HB) for dinner on Saturday, 31st May 2025, as a group of 10 people. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the staff were lovely — warm, friendly, and attentive, which we appreciated. However, the dining experience took a concerning turn. One of our dishes — a naan bread — had a hair in it. Although unpleasant, we decided not to make an issue of it at the time. Much more seriously, my husband and daughter, who both ordered the Kahari chicken, became severely unwell following the meal. They have been suffering from diarrhea and stomach upset for the past three days and are still recovering. No one else in our party had that dish, and no one else became ill, so we strongly suspect it was the cause. This experience has been distressing and disappointing. While the staff were lovely, food hygiene must be a priority — and in this case, it clearly was not. I hope the management investigates this seriously to prevent anyone else from going through the same.

Thank you so much to the greyhound. Just amazing. Food was brilliant, service was brilliant. To cater for 36 of us all at the same time as well as other customers that had outside cause weather and views of the canal are amazing. Was for a retirement party just can not thank you enough. As I say brilliant all round. Amazing place.

We ate here for 4 nights when when working in Coventry and staying in the Premier Inn. Previous reviews had us worried but they have really turned it around. The lasagne and big stack burger were both very good. Staff are very friendly and attentive, especially Jackie at breakfast. If your working away, you'll have a good time here.

Mis primos y yo nos hemos reunido para almorzar cada seis semanas desde hace unos años. Disfrutamos de nuestra visita, pero esperamos una modificación relativamente pequeña, como no proporcionar salsa de ajo Mayo con un plato popular, es decir, pollo frito sin hueso del sur.

Not a restaurant. Arena with Good views from all seats and good level of facilities. However, small seats with short leg room so you squashed from the side and poked in the back for whole event. Seats hard so numb bum after 30 minutes. Limited entrances and exits from car park we were allocated to ,so long queues but fortunately we had taken a picnic to eat whilst waiting. Won't be my first choice for a future event.

This little cafe has extremely good home cooked food. Can personally recommend the breakfasts and the faggots. The price is really reasonable, and will suit any budget. Highly recommended.

This is without doubt the best cafe on Warwick campus, and its cheaper than the others and to top it off, its run by the SU for the SU, so all profits feed back to the students - unlike the other big chain corporate share holders. Coffee is great, cakes superb seating lovely, comfortable and you can watch the world go by……oh and its dog friendly - Barney never forgets his dog treats from the counter. Keep up the superb service.

Estábamos pasando la noche en el hotel, así que decidimos comer allí en lugar de aventurarnos. Con dos restaurantes disponibles. Loft 18 , una oferta a la carta y un Cellar Bar, ambos con menús bastante extensos, pero agradablemente económicos. Como nos íbamos de vacaciones por la mañana, decidimos dirigirnos al Loft 18 pero tuvimos que buscar ayuda ya que había sido renombrado recientemente y aparentemente las señales no habían sido actualizadas así que siguiendo el antiguo nombre, nos aventuramos, siguiendo las señales y finalmente llegamos a la puerta. Fuimos recibidos por el Maitre d', mostrado a una mesa y provisto de menú y carta de vinos. Mirando a su alrededor estaba claro que el restaurante había sido recientemente renovado y redecorado. Un lugar de aspecto encantador con una decoración y accesorios muy atractivos. Luminoso y ventilado. Nuestra comida consistió en una botella de vino, platos principales de vientre de cerdo y lomo de bacalao (con un par de platos extra de verduras) y redondeado con una tabla de queso grande nos costó £ 90. Comida de alta calidad, excelentemente cocinada y presentada servida por un personal eficiente y amable. Como estábamos entrando en el bar de la bodega para tomar una copa antes de retirarse y nos íbamos a ir del hotel muy temprano, le pregunté si transferirían nuestra cuenta al bar de la bodega - no hay problema. Bonito barcito que no es tan pequeño. Un montón de rincones y grietas que dan una gran oportunidad para que los grupos disfruten de su charla, las parejas aprovechen su privacidad o simplemente un lugar encantador para simplemente sentarse y contemplar la vida con una bebida - nuestra elección particular. Una gran selección de licores fue la guinda del pastel para mí, ya que pedí un whisky de malta bastante inusual que rara vez consigo en Inglaterra. Añade instalaciones de televisión para los aficionados al deporte y este bar sería una verdadera atracción para los residentes y visitantes. Experiencia encantadora - solo desearía vivir más cerca.

We had a great couple of hours in the Donkey Box... (It's a very small bar if you don't already know!)

Personal amable y agradable. Bonita habitación y cama cómoda. Decepcionado en el menú como opciones muy limitadas sin gluten. Hacía mucho calor así que quería la ventana abierta, pero era demasiado ruidoso y la gente fumando por debajo hizo imposible tener la ventana abierta. Posiblemente una señal de no fumar justo fuera de la puerta teniendo en cuenta que hay una gran zona ajardinada. En general, recomendaría este lugar para alojarse, simplemente no en la habitación 34 debido al humo a continuación.

Personal amable, buen servicio, la comida era genial. Encantador pub local, volveríamos a visitar. Realmente disfruté el champiñón bruschetta. Nos gustó la forma en que el menú variaba en diferentes días.

Ordered a curry, was half way through eating it and I bit into glass. This chipped my front tooth which now I have to go to the dentist for. Rang up sounded like women didn’t believe me and neither did the guy who showed up at the door giving me another curry and wanting the half eaten curry and glass back. Lucky I don’t Sue to get my tooth repaired. Didn’t even eat the curry they delivered the second time in case it had anything in it.

Popped in to the bulls head with my 15 year old twins after school I can honestly say one of the best meals we have all had for a long time . Steaks were cooked perfectly even my 15 year olds were praising the food Well done to whoever was looking after the kitchen will definitely come again.
