Thank you so much to the greyhound. Just amazing. Food was brilliant, service was brilliant. To cater for 36 of us all at the same time as well as other customers that had outside cause weather and views of the canal are amazing. Was for a retirement party just can not thank you enough. As I say brilliant all round. Amazing place.

Apart from the recently introduced "register your car" parking via a tablet by the bar, all else as good as it ever is. Ref that parking, please put up signage and get bar staff to alert customers 🙄 not fair to get £70 fine for not registering 😏

Fantastic delicious food. Great tasting ales Good atmosphere. It's good to sit outside, besides the canal watching the world go by. Polite and happy staff

I was shocked to see that the defibrillator was surrounded by beer barrels. Hope nobody has a heart attack and needs this life saving equipment. Come on managers, SORT THIS OUT

A great canalside pub with excellent beer.

Lovely setting, friendly & hard working team, great selection of drinks. We sat in the garden and had a nice drink on a lovely hot day and many other people had the same enjoyment. Brilliant atmosphere. We didn't have time for food but there were many people highly recommending we eat there. Next time, for sure!

Popped in for dinner and honestly 5star, great little pub just unfortunately it was full inside and when the sun drops 🥶 outside heating and we would have stayed all night

Super dog friendly pub, lots of outdoor space. Limited food availability was a decent size portion and was very flavoursome. Recomend for a small lunch whilst out dog walking.

It's just lovely, The location is dreamy... The menu is very well designed and extremely easy to navigate. The staff are very helpful.

A busy but worth while pub to go and have a cold or hot drink and some very lovely food. Plus a walk near the canal side. Will return ASAP. Regards

Supposed to be dog friendly, original lady who greeted us was very nice, the blonde haired lady who shouted for dogs to get off the furniture was awful. We walked out without giving our custom. Your loss

Lovely old place this low ceiling fire places fires lit when cold bars small lounge a little bigger and a upstairs no good for disabled has there about 90 degrees like climbing Mount everest

Very enjoyable lunch on Bank Holiday Monday. Busy but room in the garden for latecomers. Fish and chips very good, excellent pies. Friendly and efficient staff. Nice location by the canal. Recommended

El menú tiene algo para todos y fue agradable tener especiales también. El equipo estaba ocupado con la gente dentro y fuera, pero nada era demasiado problema para nuestra camarera Sasha que era amable y atento, gracias. La comida era increíble, caliente, delicioso y bien presentado. Ya estamos hablando de nuestra próxima visita, que siempre es una buena señal. Muy recomendable.

Lovely canalside pub for drinks outside. We also went in for food which is always perfect every time. Sizzling prawns is the best starter, everyone's favourite. Roast dinners are lovely and the pies. A firm favourite with everyone we go with.

Called in on spec as it was a nice sunny day and couldn't work out what to have for dinner, so treat time! Had the Braised blade of beef, really nice. My wife had the Battered Haddock from the Lite-bites part of the menu, spot on. Beer was great, Harlequin from Everards and Aspalls cider for my wife. Nice spot outside the front of the pub overlooking the canal junction, very scenic. Good vibe to the place, lots of people and all nice and relaxed. The only reason for 4 star and not 5 was on return to our car we noticed, high up, a camera with signs about parking! Never seen this before and have been to the Greyhound many times. Nothing clear about parking other than a sign indicating you need to register your number plate on a tablet?? So went back in and one of the customers told me that it wasn't registering and working. I disregarded this and went through the process on a tablet situated by the bar. It duly went through the process and asked for my email, provided, and said a receipt would be sent. I got home and no receipt email! This is unnerving because when we arrived we had no indication of the need to do this, I would expect bar staff to ask, alternatively to have a prominent sign, at the bar, or at least on the way into the pub, indicating the need to register your number plate. perhaps the owners can rectify this and make it a 5 star experience. Thanks.

The change of management hasn't made any difference to the high standards of food and general ambience at this pub. It was very busy and unfortunately service was a bit uncoordinated: no one came to take a drinks order and the server who came for the food order seemed surprised to be asked for drinks. After the main course plates had been cleared no one came to offer a dessert menu and we had to ask. There were no enquiries as to whether everything was ok until paying the bill.

Fantastic food we had Haddock & prawns to start and was not disappointed for mains I had the Duck and wife had risotto very relaxing food was hot No complain

Excellent beer, reasonable prices, exceptional food, how many pubs get their vegetable cooked correctly, the Greyhound chef knows his stuff. It's a beautiful location, what more could you want?

Hard dry pie was not very nice however we were refunded for some of the meal which made up for it. Lovely pub in a beautiful setting

Sat outside as the weather was warm and dry. Stopped for lunch after a walk along the canal. Didn't look too closely at main menu so can't advise what is good. I enjoyed the jacket potato with meatballs and the steak ciabatta looked good also.

Not the most salobrious place you will ever eat BUT the food, service and atmosphere will make up for that.. Fantastic meal last night with my relatives to celebrate my birthday.

For a tourist pub, there was a good cross section of handpull and keg beers, dark and pale. A warm welcome, and glorious when the sun shines.

This is a little hidden gem with the best food for miles around and the best service. I went for a birthday meal and our waitress Hayley was a diamond, so kind and friendly. I can't praise this enough! A place I'm happy I got a chance to experience. Thank you!!! Day 2 was amazing had a breakfast before we start our journey and it couldn't be better. Ruby was a diamond and so kind. Everyone who works there are so friendly and lovely. A really amazing place to be!

Great place for a meal and a great selection of beers. We went on Pancake Day and had a great selection of them. It was national pie week as well, brilliant choice of Pies.

Visited on a busy Fri eve. Great atmosphere and superb food. Especially the home made pies Inc the vegan ones. Even though they were very busy brilliant friendly quick service.

We decided to make the most of the lovely weather. So we parked at the pub and went for a walk along the canal and then back. As the weather was still glorious we decided to sit outside in the garden, which has now been opened up with gorgeous views of the canal and new eating tables. Drinks: Cider x1; Lemonade & Lime x2 Meals: Ploughman's x1; Steak ciabatta Sides: portion of chips x1 Food was excellent and very tasty, as always. Was very busy as lots of people were walking along the canal and having a drink/food, but the service was still good.

Once again we were served by Jill she is just a lovely person. Her customer service is second to none, nothing is too much trouble, she is helpful ,considerate and wants to make her customers feel comfortable. Thank you Jill for your kindness. Ps the lunch was delicious 😋

Great place to eat after a good walk by the canal. Friendly staff and cosy with log fire, food was excellent, 2 large fish and chips and 3 ploughman’s. Highly recommended for a good hearty meal. Definitely will be returning

A lovely evening with excellent service and good atmosphere. The food was high quality, as always. As long term customers of The Greyhound, we are very pleased that no major changes have been made, as it was a fantastic pub already (apart from the toilets, the new ones are much nicer!) We will be back.

Beautiful traditional canal side pub. Very close to Bedworth & really easy to get to. Parking at the rear. Very cozy with a fantastic atmosphere. Dogs welcome. I ordered food which was freshly cooked & of excellent quality. The steak was lovely & tender. Refreshingly, the white wine was nice & chilled too. I went for the lemon meringue for dessert with raspberry sorbet; I prefer a little more tartness to the lemon to balance the sweetness of the meringue myself so would choose a different dessert next time. But it certainly gave me a sugar rush to get me home! 😝 A very enjoyable visit & definitely recommended

We had a lovely Sunday dinner and excellent service. We were served by Lucas who was exceptional. Very polite and accommodating. This was our first time here but not our last.

Visited here on 11th Feb after a family funeral. The meal, value for money and atmosphere was the best ever! We will be back again hopefully not after a funeral next time.

Good food & beer. Table service in dining room. Very nice after refurb especially the toilets.

Proper pub! Great selection of ale and beer, food was lovely. Service was fantastic in bar and restaurant, they did everything they could to accommodate us. Can be hard to find a seat in the bar, as it's a very popular place. Some of the locals are a bit opinionated, but that's not the pubs fault at all.

We had a team of 15 there. Was very nice food and very nice atmosphere. Price was very fair. Bit of a hidden gem of Coventry as we live on other side.

This was my second visit to warm and welcoming Inn. 1st visit was a joyous occasion and 2nd a more sombre occasion both were treated with equal professionalism and respect. Parking can be a little challenging but atmosphere and food more than makeup for this.

The best food we have had out in a long time served with a smile.

Wow I real hidden gem, food not only delicious but presentation is second to none, real good value for money , staff are really helpful and you are served with a smile, service was swift to say we were a large group and no complaints from anyone. Myself and my husband had the blade of beef omg best ever and desserts I have no words apart from heavenly. I will definitely be returning. Darren is so welcoming and made sure everyone was well looked after which we were , thankyou for a truly amazing lunch experience.

A lovely setting by the canal, the pub is traditional and very welcoming inside. A minor booking error was dealt with quickly by staff and the service was really good. Everyone in our party enjoyed the food and the price was a pleasant surprise, given how expensive everything is these days. Exactly what we all needed, having just watched a dire 1-0 loss for Bristol City at the Coventry Arena!

We had a family lunch after Xmas. Good food, and given a private room. Excellent service, making sure we got what we wanted. Setting also great.

A nice warm welcome. It was Thursday lunchtime we hadn't booked a table, and just managed to get the last one. It was service with a smile and a very good lunch Well worth the 3 miles each way along the towpath. Will definitely do it again

Lovely little pub. Popped in here with a couple of friends and the missus tonight. Cosy , vibrant atmosphere. The roast beef Sunday dinner was stupendous.

Beautiful old pub, great atmosphere. We're tourists trying local ol' pub and didn't disappoint. Staffs were good. Friendly guests bought us drinks 🍻 made our visit unforgettable. We didn't get a chance to try the food as kitchen close on Sunday 6 pm. Maybe next time.

Phenomenal pub grub. Went as a party of 3 and had the slow braised beef feather blade, braised steak in red wine pie and pan seared tenderloin which all came with mash/chips, baby carrot, baby leeks and rich gravies to accompany. All dishes were cooked to beautiful perfection; quite possibly one of the best meals I have ever eaten! Pub is situated in a beautiful corner overlooking the canal and there is ample parking. I will be back!

Lovely friendly welcome on arrival. Nice choice on the menu with the option of small bites. I chose the small bite beef burger, chips and bake beans which was ample .

You really must try this place and book ahead due to popularity. We started with the infamous garlic sizzling prawns the a huicy sirloin with peppercorn sauce, huge onion rings and othe trimming and chips. Dessert was a hard choose. We ended up having the frangipane tart. All washed down with a half of spiral pale ale. The service and speed of the food to table was excellent and service by Josh who catered for all our needs. Perfect place in the summer too. In fact all year round.

Went to the Greyhound for Sunday Lunch with a party of 4 with two dogs. As we were with dogs we could not eat in the Restaurant but a private room was allocated on the first floor. The food was good and excellent value for money. Even though the room was remote from the Restaurant the service given by Grace was good and she really looked after us..

We moored up alongside the Greyhound for an early dinner. We were last here a year ago and were impressed, so decided to come back. We shared a whitebait and then had homemade steak and stilton ale pie and faggots from the light bite menu to ensure there was room for the delicious banoffee. Unfortunately they ran out of the Elevation IPA after a pint, but did squeeze another one out of the barrel (thank you!). The meal was certainly as good as last time and the staff were brilliant. Special shout out to Jo who was attentive and we enjoyed some jokes with her - thanks Jo!

Good food served hot and very welcoming staff

Went for lunch today with my sister. Lovely friendly service from Jo, Josh & Rybee and both meals were delicious. Fish was excellent (and I’m quite fussy) and the chips although not home made were very nice. The pie dinner was equally tasty … oh and all food served lovely and hot (I hate tepid food but this didn’t disappoint) We’ll definitely be returning and would recommend.

I always come here with family for football away games against Coventry City. The canal side old pub has a terrific atmosphere and really friendly staff. The Steak & Stilton Pie is absolutely fab and the Bass is decent. I highly recommend this place.

Good pub with lovely location. The food was great but I have been a little disappointed of late if I'm honest. I believe they're trying to do too many covers from such a small kitchen. It's popularity may be it's ultimate downfall. Nothing inherently wrong with the place, just not as good as it was before it's expansion.

Food was amazing complements to the chefs. I had the feathered beef (highly recommended) melts in your mouth, husband had the seafood pasta (explosion of flavours on the pallet) Staff are so welcoming, each staff member I came into contact with was happy had a lovely chat about the food and how it's sooo CHEAP yet should be more for the quality and service received. Well done to each and every member of the team there you are all such lovely people

We moored on the canal nearby and stopped for a pie and a pint. Really recommend this inn. Staff are friendly, the beer is great and the pies are absolutely awesome. We had a pint of Tiger Ale a pint of Atomic Blonde, a steak and red wine pie with chips and a steak and stilton pie with chips. Excellent, really hit the spot.

Nice friendly place to chill .. especially outside on a nice day with views over the canal .. they pull a great pint of Guinness and do great toasties too

What an amazing place. I had a crispy skin sea bass with a perfect porched egg, pancetta crumb, capers and hollandaise drizzle for my starter. 10/10. Main was Pork tenderloin wrapped in pancetta, excellent baby carrots and baby leeks, Fondant potato (🤔) and the most delicious Gorgonzola cream sauce. Another 9.9/10. Absolutely Fantastic 🫡👏👏👏👏

I've been here a few times for a meal, which is with two ex-work mates. We all are always impressed with our meals & the service is always very good. We will certainly keep returning in the future.
