We ate here for 4 nights when when working in Coventry and staying in the Premier Inn. Previous reviews had us worried but they have really turned it around. The lasagne and big stack burger were both very good. Staff are very friendly and attentive, especially Jackie at breakfast. If your working away, you'll have a good time here.

Reasonable experience, meal was ok, no complaints

I ate here for breakfast and dinner whilst staying at the Premier Inn next door in May. Breakfast - the member of staff that was there both mornings was really attentive and friendly. Options were good. Evening meal - plenty on the menu to choose from for food and drink. Good quality. Staff were friendly and mostly attentive but could have done a little more. Overall a good experience.

A bit lack lustre but perfectly acceptable for a Brewers Fayre establishment.

Food was the standard choices that is expected from a chain restaurant. All came out hot and reasonably quickly. Staff were all pleasant and attentive, happy to talk about options for dietary allergies and checked with the kitchen when unsure as one of the allergies isn't one of the 13 that are required to be presented. A bit noisy inside, but probably to be expected as the restaurant is attached to the hotel.

They seem to take the orders but may you wait along time this was a child birthday party the staff was helpful but must plan better

I had Big Stack Burger. It was awesome. The environment is the best one to go with the family. Car parking available and many tables.

Took a group of disabled people with work out for lunch. They loved it there and want to go back. Staff was lovely and so was the food. Very spacious and clean and food was a very reasonable price. Very welcoming

Worst food i have ever had. Mixed Grill was undercooked eggs over cooked plate swimming in fat a truly bad Meal ?????

Ordered starter and mains, both came out together, however food was inedible, gammon was burnt and kids meals were cold. Staff were friendly and supported with partial refund.

Food was no edable and a four year old child complained about the dirty cutlery. The staff member who helped was lovely. Soft play was un attended and unruly.

Staying here for work with two colleagues. Large Bar / Restaurant, good atmosphere, Staff very friendly and helpful, always a happy face. Have been served a lot by Rosina, who recognises us as soon as we walk through the door and greats us with a great smile. But all of the staff are the same now that we’ve stayed here a couple of weeks. Food is good, a good selection of Pub Grub, have tried quite a bit. Great Team, keep up the good work.

Honestly I thought this would be a cheap pub type of restaurant, given it was a taybarns... I was expecting cheap bland food. The prices were a bit higher than other pub style meals, but the quality difference was astounding.. Who ever was cooking the steaks did a perfect mid rare, the meat was tender, normally I hate onion rings but these were really great, the chips are skin on and so crispy, the chicken was moist and flavorful, my partner had a burger that was still a little pink at the core cooked to perfection. I don't know if I got the best chief they have or if their food is consistently this good, but I will 100% be returning.

Staff always friendly and helpful.... Beans cold...sausages need to be cooked more on the buffet... No orange juice recently but there are other choices ... Costa coffee a bonus....

I never expect much from this type of restaurant but was still disappointed. Staff were friendly and attentive but that's the only good thing. Our allergy was initially asked about but we were merely handed a printed, battered old folder and left to figure it out for ourselves. Staff provided no support and we were still left with questions. Food of poor quality, even sauces and salad etc were barely present. Presentation left much to be desired. Toilets in poor condition, baby change was filthy.

Great place for meals But.the Bacon not as I expected it to b cooked

Had a pre booked table, food was all over cooked, gammon was overly salty and you could taste the black char from how it's been cooked, kids meals burnt Spaghetti bolognaise, over cooked popping chicken Rock hard baked beans. There was something wrong with all 6 meals(4 adults 2 kids). Waiting times were shocking, my step daughter was queuing for drinks before our food arrived she was still waiting to be served at the bar after the food had arrived her dad finished his meal before she had got to front of the que so he took her que place to get drinks so she could eat her meal even tho everyone else was nearly finished not that much was really eaten from the meals as they wasn't nice. 2 kids desserts took 40 mins to be given to our children after asking a few times where they were, fruit salad and pancakes DOES NOT take 40 minutes to make. Customer service was very poor seemed like even tho our table was in full view of well everywhere non of the staff could be bothered not once was we asked if things were OK and when we spoke to them to find out where meals/desserts were response 'ill go check,' for nothing to be done. Oh and stay away from the cocktails the staff cannot make them right and serve them in the wrong glasses. For example I had a zombie served to me in a shorts glass so what you'd have a JD and coke in for example, I had to buy a refill glass tip my cocktail in it then add Fanta to make it taste of something other than spirits, won't be going back to there

This place is a joke! Area managers need to step in. Arrived, ignored, sat down, ignored. Tried to order ignored. Left. This review is 0 star it just would not allow it. The staff that were working and ignored customers need disciplinary action taking. We will never be back.

Staff lovely and very helpful. The food isn't bad apart from the fish had it twice and the outside was cooked but the inside was wet like it had been cooked to quick from frozen. I didn't mind it cooked from frozen but i think the fat was to hot. Don't think i will have it again

Went for a chicken tikka curry rice was cold, naan bread cold and poppadoms like cardboard. Ladies toilets are disgusting radiator rusty all black mould on top and soap scum all on paint work above the sink and hand dryer not working. Only good thing was the cocktail. This place was one of my highly recommended places to eat not anymore.

Always a family favourite to go to for a birthday meal as it's reasonably priced and easy to get too. Staff are all friendly.

First time here since it changed from Taybarns- the kids have been with their other co-parents so we thought okay we will give it a go and theres soft play. safe to say we wont be back. Why hasn't this place got an app to order as queue for bar to order was so long everytime we had to go up for a drink or dessert order. Or at least open more tills!! What happened to the days where soft play was included with places? Ie deep sea den, Now you have to pay for it on top. Theres also no slide in the soft play according to the kids! Toilets were an absolute state with paper all over the floor and cubicles looked disgusting and it smelt so bad. The deal for kids meal was good and they ate it all as they got to choose but adults dessert i had a sundae and it was just a glass full of whipped cream and the odd chocolate button. Definitely microwaved food. Was not a huge amount of "main" vegetarian options. Very busy with large families with lots of kids all running about and odd smell of weed passed by us a few times. Long delay in adult dessert to arrive. Safe to say this was not a place we enjoyed and will not be back.

Abysmal service. Was phoned during the day to confirm our booking, we was told if we turned up 30mins early there would be a table ready for us as they said their kitchen was closing at 9 and didn’t want us to feel rushed, there wasn’t! Once we finally got seated we ordered our dinner. 75 minutes later it arrived!!! They then tried to tell us it’s too late to order dessert, after confronting them about the wait time for our dinner they allowed us to order dessert. 45 minutes for 2 Sundaes!!!

Staff are very friendly food not so good my dining partner had a burger nothing to write home about I had the fish and chips which was lukewarm fish and a few chips which appeared to have been sitting a while as I said all in all very underwhelming

Shut early due to winter schedule however still a decent feed at a decent price.

The plates weren't hot and the food wasn't very hot either but it was tasty.

Not as good as previously - the supplier was a fault for the lack of wine, but who didn't keep the ale pump line clean???

Not normally a fan of chain type restaurants however I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food at such reasonable costs as well. The fish was definitely freshly battered and a good portion size. Vegetarian lasagne was a huge hit even though I had insisted that it would just be a microwave job! Even the little side salads were good. All our mains were bought out ar the same time on a trolley - what a great idea! Will definitely be returning and trying the roast dinner.

Not a very good experience from start to finish order drinks at the bar after a drink out of the glass their was a considerable piece of glass missing from the rim which could of ended up causing serious damage, a half hearted apology was offered at the bar and a replacement drink, food came two mixed grills meat was cold, chips lukewarm, eggs to hot to eat, how clever is this chef to get three temperatures on one plate!, waitress asked well what do you want me to do about it...speechless. Won't be rushing back.

We had a large family meal last weekend. In their defence they had a problem with their gas, but the available food was terrible! Not very hot and not good quality. One of our waitresses was lovely, but the other was abrupt, even rude, when clearing Starter plates she told people to keep their used cutlery for their main meal!! No one wants to tuck into their dinner with dirty cutlery. I was very disappointed and will not book there next year when the family have their get together

In a average good prices, nice environment, playground for kids. The only negative point is that we have to pay for children to play.

Worst breakfast ever, didn’t have any fried or poached eggs no beans left bacon looked boiled, all in all it was a very sad breakfast stay well clear and all for £10 can I have a refund please

Very poor customer service. Stopped for breakfast, items still available on the server. Waitress declined to serve us saying we were to late to order. And would need to wait until 12.00 for lunchtime menu. Very very poor service and communication

My son has additional needs. I paid for the play area. Within 10 mins after I just ordered food, a lady who works there told me "go get your child, he is banned and bo longer allowed to play" she said this in an unkind tone, so I asked, "ok I will get him but what has he done?" She replied with "parents are complaining that he's hitting children". Of course mu son wasn't listening as he wanted to play. Parents in there told me he hasn't done anything. I have seen kids laugh at him as my son roars alot instead of talking. My daughter went to get him and she told me some kids were calling him names and saying horrible things about him. This happens alot to my son and I have made previous complaints but no one deals with it and even my son has been kicked, spat upon and hit and the staff never banned any of the kids. I did go to the manager and she wasn't very helpful, she gave my money back. I'm very anxious now going here. Discrimination!

Me and my family used to have breakfast almost on every Saturday. Nice atmosphere. Friendly staff. Lovely food, especially the charcoal bacon, many thanks to professional chefs Shaun and Ashley. I would like to thank Julie, Rozina, Zoe and Helen for their great work. Would definitely recommend this branch in Coventry to others. Love from Zina.

Friends getting together to celebrate a birthday and just enjoy being together. The venue is great for wheelchair access which was perfect for our birthday girl. The food was good and staff fantastic. One member of staff took it a step further with a surprise happy birthday dessert and a small gift. Thank you so much ROZINA for helping to make the birthday girls celebration special and what a credit you are to Brewers Fayre, Crosspoint.

I went in for lunch yesterday the day before my wedding and Jackie was serving us, she found out that I was getting married the following day and went away and got me a gift and card, was so thoughtful what a lovely woman, she really made my day ❤️

Sadly what should have been hot food was served only defrosted but staff rectified as quickly as possible. Not the best experience.

Come here regularly for meals, staff are friendly and approachable. Breakfast today was busy but organised well by Kay and Julie.

Way to really help the cost of living crisis! Charge paying customers £4.50 per child to go into the play area knowing they won’t have any choice. Absolute disgrace. Taking advantage at its finest. These are the reasons people will choose to stop eating here and out all together.

Place was basically empty at 7.30 on a Friday evening? Cold draught blowing through the restaurant from the children's play area, staff plesent and helpful, food good but the place desperately lacking in atmosphere.

Visited by off chance. Lovely place, nice and clean. Good menu and food. Average pricing. Would return.

Had a really lovely lunch here with friends and our little ones. The food was lovely and really good value. The children enjoyed playing in the soft play and with the toy machines. would recommend.

Absolutely appalled with the behaviour on staff and a child. A child not older than 6 years was in play area, the family sat out of the play area as it was too busy. Their child was playing with a dinosaur. A staff member a young lady came out to the families table and literally scolded them for the behaviour of the child. The family have been their less than 15 minutes. Their child apparently bit and hit children. Their child was literally banned from playing. The parent was so upset and went to get her child, but her child has special needs and things need to be done better by the staff and not to single a child with special needs out. This is a form of discrimination. My 3 children came to me and told me that older children were laughing at the poor child and another child was following him and told him to shut up as the child was roaring like a dinosaur. Yet the child gets excluded and other children get away with bullying a child with special needs. Yes the child hit and bit but there was a reason to why. I have been coming here for years and I know I've seen this family a few times and the said child never did anything wrong, other children were hitting him and the parent went to management to talk but the other children hitting and kicking git away with it as they had no special needs. I felt so sorry for the parents and child as it was handled poorly. Maybe give the parents a time on a Sunday when the play area is more quiet like an hour later... not to ban him, that is unfair. I have the parents number and I will be telling them to make a formal complaint and take it further as discrimination is not ok.

£50 on food and you want to charge £10 for kids to play. Day light robbery

Sharing platter was ok... little overcooked. Mains were good. Quite evening staff werent very attentive. However it wouldnt stop us from returning.

Cracking full breakfast with refillable coffee... even booked xmas day meal at the same time (return visit as last year was incredibly organised and efficient) would recommend 👌

Soft play area is not monitored well at all, there are children in there with shoes on. We were a table of 15 with pre ordered meals; there were lots of us that had ordered meals with barbecue sauce such as smothered chicken, smothered chicken burger and the smothered platter; all of which came with no barbecue sauce on them. When we asked if we could have some barbecue sauce, we were told "we haven't got any" despite me calling them 2 days ago to ask if they had anything out of stock, barbecue sauce was not mentioned; neither was it mentioned before receiving our meals. The peas on my son's meal were rock solid and all different shades of green; the chips were cold on some of our plates yet hot on others; there were meals being brought to us that hadn't even been ordered then they had added them to our bill. The service is very very poor, I won't be in a rush to return. So glad I had a voucher for 33% off.

Jackie, Rozina & Helen are fabulous waitresses and always make it a pleasure to eat at Brewers Fayre, Crosspoint (in fact we won’t eat there unless at least one of them is working on that day). That said, some bright spark at head office has had the bright idea of carrying out an absolute penny pinching exercise on the day time menu. Clearly head office are solely interested in profit maximisation than any degree of customer satisfaction. For example.… You can no longer upgrade the fish to a larger haddock, the smothered chicken no longer comes with coleslaw and the gamon is now a minute 5oz ‘steak’. 5oz, really, that’s about the size of a Digestive biscuit! You might as well just call it a kids menu given the portion sizes now. If the intention is to phase that menu out or put people off buying from the daytime menu, it’s just going to mean is that we have to visit far less often, so head office really aren’t gaining anything (from us anyway). I’d rather the price increased a little if necessary, than the nonsense with the ludicrous portion sizes now introduced. Come on Brewers Fayre at least adopt some degree of common sense.

Good service, particularly as not very well staffed. Appears popular with families as has a soft play area, lacked any real pub.feel We found the food was mediocre and a bit undercooked the lager was flat unfortunately Having said all that,everything was reasonably priced but probably on balance would prefer to eat elsewhere in the future.

Staff were friendly and as the restaurant had very few customers we thought we would be served quite quickly. The children's menu was good and our daughter was happy with her choice. We chose the burger meal. The mains took around 20 mins and were pretty much what we expected for the price. As our daughter had a dessert as part of her meal we decided to push the boat out a little and have a dessert too. These were ordered at 7.20pm. At 7.50pm my husband went to enquire where they were. He was assured they wouldn't be long -5 minutes was what he was told. By 8.15pm we were fed up of waiting. A different member of staff assured my husband the desserts would be out in minutes. She went to locate them and brought an extra bowl of ice cream out with the two ordered desserts. While very nice of her, I would have been more impressed with a refund and the dessert on the house. If the restaurant had been busy I could have understood the delay, but there were only 4 tables requiring service. What should have been a lovely treat was spoilt by what seemed to be poor organisation.

My Friend and I went to this pub today for afternoon lunch. Seated table no. 14, we ordered 2 mains for £10.99 quite cheap. We’ve been in this pub quite a few times, food was fine considering the price. I ordered a classic burger with chips and coleslaw, my friend ordered Southern bacon chicken. Her food was fine, however mine was burnt patty burger, you can actually see the charcoal around it and you can see the cheese has melted already. Also, the chips smelled old recycled oil. I told my friend, I don’t know about you but I will never come back in this pub again. I’d rather go to Mcdonalds atleast I know what I’m getting in Mcdonalds. I will not recommend this pub to anyone!

Stayed over at the Premier Inn for 3 days over that time enjoyed outstanding levels of customer service from the front of house staff and brilliant food massive thank you to the kitchen staff smashing it made my stay unbelievably pleasant.

First time here as I'm not local. Met local people, for lunch, as I travelled north, to home. Staff so friendly and courteous. Service quick too. Parking bays just long enough, for my campervan but had to come in, via the inn as height barrier, on main entrance

Brilliant place to stop on my drive, brilliant food and service

Only the third time we have been . Overall the whole experience would get a 4/5 . The staff were the highlight taking our order and serving especially Rozina 5 star service 👍who looked after us really well and took time out to talk to our children and got our desserts for us without us having to go and order. The food was great and reasonably priced if you had a deal like we did . Only gripe was children’s veg . 1 had peas and 1 had mini corn . Both looked tired as though had been pre cooked and left standing . If you cooked them and blanch them in ice water you only have to pot them back in boiling water before serving . It’s always the same problem with children’s veg where ever we go . I should have complained but didn’t ( moan about it but don’t complain, the British way !)
