This is about the 10th time I have been to this venue for breakfast, and 10 times the food has been exceptional! I will always come back to this place. Friendly staff, great atmosphere and amazing food. Definitely recommended for anyone looking for good honest food!!

A very enjoyable lunch with friends.

Absolute gem of a bistro. They made room for our group of 13 when we, very last minute, tried to find a place to eat. Service was great. The waitresses we very friendly and funny. The food was served quick and was of a very high standard. It was so good we came back te next day for lunch.

Been here a few times now. Recently has been poor, ordered vegetable fajitas wraps that were wrong 3 times, previously hard gluten free wraps. Had wraps that were meant to be vegetable and came out chicken, second they were raw, vegetables third they were greasy they weren't edible. Not sure if the cook has been changed but so bad last 2 times I've been there.and as treated like a I was a awkward customer but it was £9.99 and expected a good meal for that price

Excellent service and food . Tasty baguette was accompanied with salad and chips . Good selection of drinks and friendly atmosphere. We stayed on for cocktails which were excellent value

Food was not the best steak was tuff definitely wasn't worth £20 at the most £5 chips very greasy lady with the glasses was a little patronising

We booked our table tonight had our main meal then unfortunately the service was very slow .we was waiting to order pudding then unfortunately the wait for the bill even though i had asked for it was like waiting for the next train we had our card on the bill its as if they did not want to be paid.not our usual service from hogans. Sorry to moan but its a fact when you have toddlers on board waiting for staff who are talking to their mates is not what you want.

Had a lovely Christmas breakfast and the staff were really helpful and patient!

I needed to add extra people at short notice, spoke to Marie on the phone she was so helpful and managed to help me out, can't thank her enough, if I was her boss I'd definitely give her a rise .... Just saying! 👍

Had our staff Christmas party here yesterday. The food was fantastic, staff were great we had a singer and we joined in a few few games. It was a great night. Well done everyone.

Find hogans by luck after been sick of paying for processed frozen junk at the nearby hotel Had a sharing starter which was nachos and chill and I was pleased to see that chill wasn't canned rubbish but fresh and the chef wasnt stingy on the cheese either ? As for main course we had the Calcutta curry which was massive and the homemade lasagne which was lush , couldn't manage sweet as was stuffed, the staff were all welcoming and nothing was too much trouble , we will defiantly return if working back in the area

Very nice restaurant interesting location next to the golf range. The food is nice and hot and good portion sizes. Staff friendly and toilets are clean. Would recommend for a meal. 👍

I love this place, food is lovely, staff (except 1) are friendly and welcoming. I would though like to know the reason why they feel £4.25/50 is justifiable for something on toast. I appreciate a profit needs to be made but seriously how is this a reasonable price

Close to where I was staying. it had some good reviews so I thought I would give it a go. Good menu with plenty of options, food was good and well presented, staff were friendly and the surroundings were comfortable. Would go again.

Booked in for Mothering Sunday, the food was fantastic. Despite looking fully booked the service was excellent, never left waiting. All the staff were very friendly and overall a great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend!

Food was horrendous, had to send back some food that was uncooked, the only positive thing I can say is that the staff were lovely. Best to avoid if you want good food

When arrived told no booking even after checking 3 hours before then got given 3 menus and told to find table in corner seemed like not welcomed ordered drinks & meals , hot starters served on cold slates, mains served on cold plates (not good for hot food ) i had ham egg & chips ,eggs over cooked with hard yokes ,chips looked like scrag end of potatoes, my guests were asked if ok to bring mains whilst still eating our starters , ordered ice cream & wafers for desert had to ask for wafers when delivered overhaul not a standard i expected it just seemed we didn't fit into the clients they wanted after reading reviews looked good so gave them a try MISTAKE

Such a lovely little place! We found it by chance as we were staying closeby. We popped in for a quick drink then decided to book for dinner later in the evening, all the staff seemed extremely friendly. On our return later that evening our meal which we received next to no time was delicious. If you are staying nearby we highly recommend visiting. Thank you very much Hogans bar & bistro for making us feel welcome.

Had a couple of meals here over a long weekend, lovely fresh food, served by friendly staff, nothing too much trouble. the Sunday roast was lovely one of the best I’ve had, will return again.

Service good. Breakfast was just OK, friend wanted scrambled egg instead of fried, charged 90p extra. For one egg rather steep. Drinks tea/ coffee in with breakfast, friend asked for latte , didn't realise till bill came charged £2.95 as latte is not included. Come on if normal coffee is included even if a small extra charge was put on, but full price not acceptable. Mushrooms on breakfast disgusting fake some sort of tin mushrooms. Flat coke, disappointed won't be rushing to go back.

Not a great choice on the menu, lots of fried stuff, not the cheapest either. Ladies toilets weren't clean according to the wife. Won't be going back.

We regularly eat here the food is great , they do a lovely breakfast, the staff are lovely , and they have a golf course too. Outside area has tables and seating, parasols for the summer. You don't always have too book but as the weather picks up it does get busy Highly recommended 👌

What a nice surprise! We stayed at a nearby hotel and didn't fancy eating there. We m didn't really know what to expect and the place really makes you nostalgic - in a good way! We were greeted by two lovely members of staff. Food was great, beer was nice.. What more can you ask for!

What a lovely gem of a place. We were staying nearby and needed somewhere to eat. On arrival we were greeted by 2 friendly members of staff. Food was lovely, very well cooked and presented well. Burger was very tasty and the coleslaw was delicious. Service was very good and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Me and my partner found this little gem as the hotel we were staying at does not do food service until 18.30. That's just too late. We were hungry and did a Google search. 5 minute walk from Hotel . Superb Food Service And beers. The Staff are very friendly and Helpful. I must advise you that the Food here is absolutely superb. We are at the same Hotel again this weekend and are looking forward to eating here this evening.

Had a wonderful evening, with excellent service from Claire, very accommodating to food orders, excellent food, steak and beautiful creamy peppercorn sauce. Very good portions, left full and happy.

It had been many years since I last ate here, and I had lingering fond memories. It definitely still lives up to them. A pleasant, intimate setting, warm welcome from staff, and exceptional value. And their "famous" coleslaw really is as good as they claim!

Great meal, Salmon and prawns were perfect. Gammon tender and tasty. All of the staff were attentive and polite. We had a lovely evening.

Took my elderly mother out for a Christmas treat and to meet family. Food was average. Service was slow. Had to keep trying to get staffs attention if you wanted a drink and to order. No one came and asked if we wanted dessert or coffee. Place was freezing and we kept our coats on. In the end we went up to the bar to pay the bill as no one came to the table. Left after just over an hour as my mother was so cold. Won't be rushing back.

Lovely food great friendly service. Place deserves to be packed out, sadly it was just us and another family in a big room. Hidden gem in top end of Coventry. I say hidden gem as we drove past the entry which says Johnny Reay golf driving range n shop.

If you like being served by snotty staff with no manners and a bad attitude then definitely go here you don’t be disappointed. The breakfast was mediocre, much smaller portions than before and the price has increased. We won’t return, it’s such a shame as this was a really nice place to go- management take note because if this continues you won’t get any customers and quite frankly after today’s visit you don’t deserve them.

Thank you very much for the fantastic evening we had. 11 lovely ladies full of laughter and sharing memories. The food was amazing along with the service you provided. I’m sure we will all be back in the near future. Apologies for the delay in writing this review.( 2 weeks late).

Was good to return for breakfast. First time since lockdown. Service was excellent. However very disappointed with the standard breakfast. Tinned mushrooms poor quality sausage and reduced portion. A shame as have to look for somewhere new now

Brought my 88yr old mother for Sunday lunch as we had heard good reviews about Hogans, the chicken breast on both meals were like leather and uneatable, the staff collected the plates but never asked about the meal so I explained about all the chicken left on the plates, there was no apology but she explained that she had served lots of chicken at lunch! I can only assume that as there were no other complaints that our chicken must have been fine..👀 We were offered a free sweet and as my mum was still hungry, she accepted apple pie and custard, the apple in the pie was full of apple skin and hard pieces of apple! It’s such a shame as the rest of the meal (potatoes/veg etc) was nice.

Very nice food. I had the homemade lasagne it was very tasty and I have to say the portion sizes have increased again which was a nice surprise. Service was very good. Love place to go for a nice meal and they now have outdoor seating

Food disappointing, was a regular before lockdown but won't rush back.. Devil's chicken used to be so tender & tasty, now extremely tough, chewy and very little taste. Could not cut into edge and had to eat from the middle, I managed about 4 bites. Coleslaw portion was tiny. Salmon tiny and tasteless. A couple we spoke to said they has chicken a couple of weeks ago and experienced the same. I understand lockdown was hard on restaurants but this won't do them any favours if food is poor.

Decent quality food at an affordable price and very attentive staff.
