The best restaurants serving British food in Bromsgrove West Midlands

We have used Edward’s before and not been disappointed on this occasion we felt service was on the slow side, food was lukewarm and £2 extra for one rasher of bacon, yes I know it was my choice, bet seriously, one rasher of bacon?

The Sunday roast beef lunch was so small we thought it was a child's portion. 3 very small paper thin slices of bought in slice beef from the supermarket if it weighted 3oz you would be lucky. The plate arrived with Yorkshire pudding hiding the slices with the gravey on it but we then waited for the veg by which time all had gone cold. This was a complete Faulty tower. You couldn't make it up. Will certainly not be going back. And £18 for a cheap bottle of wine. NOT A PLACE TO VISIT.

Limited menu, slightly expensive. Food is very good quality, large portions. Lovely view over the 18th hole

Great flavour street food, like being down Camdon. Had the loaded fries, picked the hot fries but had without jalapeños as I didn't want it to be all I tasted (my choice), was a mix of fries and sweet potatoe fries with crispy chicken and a siracha sauce and mayo, OMG flavour explosion, amazing. Normally have the push it fries - fries, crispy chicken, onions, peppers with a salt n chilli spice also amazing but loving the Hot!

Pleasant ambience and Christmas atmosphere. I had two slices of what was meant to be seeded brown bloomer slices with butter and marmalade. They were just thin slices of brown bread. Not as described.

Ordered via Uber eats & after 2 hours still hadn’t arrived. Called to get a refund and had the phone put down on me. Rude staff, no breakfast & still waiting for my £20 refund

A very poor tuna mayo sandwich. The restaurant is quite chilly too. Never find the staff to be very welcoming. I think I will try a different place next time.

Great place for a get-together meal with family or friends. Food is very tasty and the menu changes often. Tapas or main meals, equally good value. Staff are friendly, polite and helpful. Ambiance is up beat and welcoming. Highly recommended!

Came into the crown randomly after working away i was gretaed by the 2 manager jess and sel and they immediately made me feel welcome. The beer was of a good standard and the food was amazing the classic cheeseburger was spot on! Anyone who is in the area I would honestly advise to try this place!

To celebrate our Ruby Wedding Anniversary we booked for 20 people. The Food, Service and beautiful setting was excellent. Everyone enjoyed all their food, which is quite a rarity when there’s a large group. Every course was presented beautifully, everything was piping hot and best of all tasted delicious. All Staff were friendly and very efficient. Couldn’t have asked for anything better. So to Craig , the Chefs and all there staff a big Thank you from us. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Arrived just after 8pm to be told we couldn't have a table even though the kitchen closes at 9pm as there was a large table in. Staff were very abrupt in telling us this. Even though the person in front of us was served. Very poor for a restaurant not to be able to cope with a large table as well as other guests. If it was the case that there would have been a wait on food, we should have been advised of not just point blank refused.

This is my local. We have not been for a while as it has felt like it has sadly declined over the last couple of years. This is based on the fact that I had 3 consecutive occasions where they didn't have clean wine glasses and I was served it in a tumbler. (Please know, this is a small example of many other issues we had had). Anyway, decided to walk down the canal and give it another go tonight - what a disaster! 6pm on a Sunday and it was out of control. This is a lovely pub, in a great location with so much potential and it was emptied by 3 people who were loudly claiming they knew the owner, threatening to, and I quote "slap the barmaid" and refusing to leave. I've been in a few dives in my time and I can honestly say this was one of the most hostile experiences I'd had. There were 4 of us and we left our drinks and exited (as did, literally every other table) - making sure the poor bar staff were OK on our way out. The staff were amazing but were equally as frustrated by not having appropriate support from management. I'm gutted. This is a potentially lovely pub that just seems abandoned!
