Brewers Fayre Guild in Bromsgrove

Arrived just after 8pm to be told we couldn't have a table even though the kitchen closes at 9pm as there was a large table in. Staff were very abrupt in telling us this. Even though the person in front of us was served. Very poor for a restaurant not to be able to cope with a large table as well as other guests. If it was the case that there would have been a wait on food, we should have been advised of not just point blank refused.

We ate here as part of our Meal Deal with the Premier Inn next door. Evening Meal - good portions and the food was fine. My prawn cocktail was mainly lettuce (but it was good to have a proper salad vegetable rather than the small dish of mainly tinned corn we'd had the week before at a Beefeater) and the haddock in the fish & chips was enormous! The mushy peas were almost cold and solid (not sure what happened there). The chips were just about okay (not crisp). My husband had the garlic mushrooms and dip, and then the steak with chips and peas, and onion rings, which he enjoyed. Huge portions and I couldn't finish it. Next day we had breakfast - loads of options (cereals, fruit, croissants & spreads, cooked food, toast, a range of teas and coffees, and fruit juices) and all you can eat! They catered for those of us who don't eat dairy so both oat and soya milk options available. Paticular mention of Amy who looked after us both in the evening and at breakfast - very helpful and cheerful (can't be an easy job). Thank you Amy.

Still disappointing although start levels have improved and a bit quicker now it’s time to improve on food standards asked for the steak to find out we only got skin on chips. Was offered mash or jacket potato really who had tht with a steak meal was looking at some of the meals tht came out and quantity poor think the weatherspoons give more and Thts saying something

We came for an evening meal and was served by Lilly. We had lasagne and chips and it was incredible. Lilly was very attentive and a lovely individual, nothing was too much trouble and always had a smile on her face. Thank you Lilly for your brilliant service

Our breakfast experience was greatly enhanced by the extremely pleasant and helpful waitress, Devika. Nothing was too much trouble for this lady and along with her smiles her service turned a mediocre meal into a delight. Thank you Devika.

We visited The Guild last week where I hired the soft play for a private party. We were greeted by Lilly who was very accommodating with our requests. She was kind, caring and helpful and went above and beyond. She is an asset to the team and we will be back again soon.

As per usual another fab meal at The Guild, the team being great (especially Amy B) and the food being yummy is the reasons we continue to return!

Pleasant experience as always. Went for lunch. Pricing is fab with two mains for £11.99 Claire was spot on with her service, very polite lady.

I booked into the premier inn for an overnight stay for business, I decided to have a late dinner over the road in The Guild. I arrived quite late in the evening due to a meeting finishing late but Ellie a supervisor who worked there, managed to fit me in and looked after me for my meal. The food was good and the service even better, I would definitely recommend this place, for the nice friendly atmosphere and the attentive staff who work there, particularly Ellie, thank you for making my stay.

Excellent as always, Claire was friendly and helpful. My two older children can struggle with eating out and this is a comfortable and happy place for them.

Visited as a family of 4 as part of a birthday celebration. We couldn't have picked a better place. The service was great, very organised and the food was delicious!! A special thanks to Steph behind the bar, who was particularly lovely, worked extremely hard, and went the extra mile to make our visit such a great experience. Would highly recommend!!

Rubbish A visit to see band at artrix ruined by fact we could not even get bar snacks at this pub. Full of screaming kids. Awful experience. Unhelpful staff...never again. Rather eat sandwich in car than chance this dive.

Brilliant atmosphere, very friendly staff, especially as we were there with a young child, they were very accommodating making our night out easier.

Food was delicious and service good. However not impressed at 1hr restriction on the table. By the time we sat down, then queued for food it doesn't give much time for slow eating children. The waitress then came at dead on 60 mins to tell us they needed the table back.

Ive been a few times to the guild and it still continues to be the place i enjoy going every month with my wife and grand kids, Emma and Steph was amazing like always and definitely makes the wait for the food worth it, I will be definitely coming for more.

We have been coming here for years, the selection on breakfast is excellent, so much to choose from, plus the hot breakfast is a buffet on the weekend, would definitely recommend 🙂
