Visited Clent nurseries today at 3.27pm for a sandwich and coffee. My daughter and myself stood by the counter looking at the menu where a girl was watching. We moved to a table and went to order to be told kitchen closed at 3.30pm. Why oh why couldn't the girl observing tell us as soon as we arrived? Upon leaving to find elsewhere, she shouted "we stop serving food at 3.30 2 minutes after we arrived. Really! But hey ho we went elsewhere. Will never use Clent Nurseries again. Note to Management: your staff should be more courteous and not look like they can't wait until home time!!! Perhaps a note telling the public the time food is served until would be helpful. Just a thought....

I frequently visit this centre, the selection of composts and flowers are very good however maybe a bit pricy compared to competition. The food at the cafe however the clent cafe sets it apart to the competition, I think it is one of the best places for food at a garden centre in the local area the breakfasts are brilliant. However the garden centre is packed and parking is difficult, they do have an overflow carpark but I have yet to check this.

The customer service was poor and somewhat rude! After waiting 30 minutes for our food one of the waitresses came to the table to tell us one of our orders was now out of stock (without apology or the offer of a refund). When the rest of our order did finally arrive the quality of food was awful. The food is priced highly for what it is and was disappointing to get stale bread, microwaved (soggy fish), watery mashed potatoes and an undercooked egg. All in all we will not be returning to this cafe and would much prefer to eat in one of the local pubs surrounding the area. Even my 7 year old son commented/asked why the lady behind the till was so rude! I wouldn't recommend it!

visted the cafe for mom's birthday, daughter, granddaughters and great granddaughter . It was busy but they had a table ready for us . First thing we noticed was that the table was so sticky, clearly not been cleaned properly and not for some time either as it was all over and not just where something was spilt ...quite disgusting ! Jacket potatoes with prawn in Marie Rose sauce £8.95 .... absolutely disgraceful ... potato was small and dry, tasted like it had been cooked yesterday and microwaved.. no butter, the prawns were tiny and tasteless and barely and sauce on them . The "salad" it came with with was the best bit but it was a megre amount . Similar issues with the prawn sandwich Lasagne was mediocre and not value for money. We didnt send it back as we all wanted to eat together and we had a 2 year old in tow We did mention it but because we had eaten it they werent bothered . Won't be visiting there again a waste of money ... and we were all still hungry !

Poor customer care, A garden centre who doesn’t allow dogs!! Wow I asked what should I do as our Beautiful well behaved French bulldog suffers with anxiety and can’t be left at home. The weather is extremely hot and we are unable to leave her in the car. The member of staff shrugged her shoulders. They have just lost a customer and will be sharing this with all our doggy friends. Considering they are located in such a rural place clent hills; lots of dog walkers… think they are missing a trick. Luckily just a few mile down the road is Webb’s of Hagley; they welcome dogs with a fresh bowl of water outside, all dogs welcome. I also know Webb’s of Wychbold have a new coffee shop where you can sit with your dog and unwind..

We came here to celebrate a 70th birthday with afternoon tea for 8 people. The table was ready when we arrived complete with a birthday card for the birthday 'girl'. The food was very good and very fresh but what made the occasion so successful was that every couple had their own stand of food and a teapot for two. That ruled out any confusion over whose food belonged to whom. I would recommend this type of celebratory tea. We all took some food home, because there was so much, wrapped in the foil provided.

We received 2 pieces of toast, with a tiny amount of scrambled egg. On complaining and returning the 'meal' we received a second offering. Photo attached.  We were informed that this was 2 eggs scrambled at a charge of £5.95 I feel that the portion size inadequate as a meal, for the cost charged. The egg didn't even half cover the toast. We eat out regularly at local cafes, garden centres etc. Regardless of the fact we were advised this was 2 eggs you ought to be embarrassed asking that much for this meal. She did not come back to me although available, so as we where about to leave I went up to see here, I was told in not a very nice manner that she had tried the cake and it tasted fine and she found no problem, I really don't feel that I needed to be told in the way she told me. A lovely garden centre to visit at any time. I called in today, a wet and miserably cold December Sunday. Inside, the shop areas felt pleasantly warm and cheerful with lots of Cyclamen and Poinsettias on offer, all reasonably priced. The cafe/restaurant was predictably busy being midday on a Sunday and the two ladies working behind the counter both deserve bouquets! We used to be a regular customer for Sunday lunch however when chef left and no cooked food available we reluctantly move on else where. After recently reading that Clive had passed away and a new cat named Toby was resident in store we thought it was time to revisit and reacquaint for Sunday lunch. Not a good experience, It was very cold in the restaurant and we along with most other customers elected to keep coats on to eat, people were looking at each other and nodding their heads in disbelief. First thoughts was to leave and try elsewhere however partner said to stick with it so we ordered two meals and tea for two. One dinner served on a luke warm plate with wet vegetables lying limp in bottom of bowl !!! (Unlike others served with vegetables piled high in their bowls, perhaps regular visitors receive preferential service). One fish & chips meal served on a luke warm plate, fish crispy on top soggy on bottom. Both meals cold before being able to fully consume due to low plate & room temperature. We drank the tea to keep ourselves warm before the meals arrived and at £30.00+ did not feel like purchasing any additional drinks. Waitress moving around tables in our vicinity enquiring if everything is satisfactory however skirted around our table as if aware that we were not going give a complimentary reply. We did previously receive phone calls from Clent nursery informing that a chef was now employed enabling them to resume cooked lunches however based on this experience we will remain lunching at alternative Ashwood garden centre where value for money and consistency of service is guaranteed.

Tried to finish it, but it was just too dry. My other half had a ham and tomato toasted sandwich on glutton free bread. The bread was not buttered, so was very dry. Amazing place, drinks are so cheap and amazing selection and food is very nice. Selena and Jess served us and were amazing! Will definitely be coming back and would highly recommend.

After a long journey to Alvechurch Marina we were pleasantly surprised to find a pub on the doorstep before setting off on a weeks cruise on The Birmingham & Worcester Canal. We were more than disappointed to find no food available on a Saturday evening and to compound our woes a canal side pub that doesn’t allow dogs, What is that all about? Anyway we ventured into the village and found a lovely meal, superb beer, hospitality and a welcome for the hound. As for The Weighbridge NO.

Ordered via Uber eats & after 2 hours still hadn’t arrived. Called to get a refund and had the phone put down on me. Rude staff, no breakfast & still waiting for my £20 refund
