Crap, manager standing at tables giving away shots to girls while doing nothing while the staff work their arses off. Seen it a few times now, seen managers make staff cry, the way they talk to their staff is gross, needs looking at seriously. Go to the panniers, new management and way better

We went for a Sunday lunch. It's a sharing board, apparently for people with small appetites. I went specifically because i am gluten free and the menu says on the beef and Yorkshire pudding option (gf option available). The gf option is without Yorkshire pudding! Quite disappointing. The portion sizes of the meat is miniscule. Two small slices of beef, about the size of a slice of fray bentos corned beef shape. Qtr of chicken, just a leg piece. For £22! I also had the prawn starter which was 3 prawns in a bowl of salad. My son wanted pigs in blankets which was £7 for three small sausages in bacon! We all came away hungry. The Yorkshire pudding was similar to the size you get in a packet in Tesco. The only people who could possibly rave about the food here are those unable to boil an egg. The owner/manager seems to think he is funny, he isn't. His service is an acquired taste, one of which we had no desire to acquire.

It is a very hit and miss restaurant. Sometimes you cannot fault the meal next time you go it is awful . We used to go twice a week but not again . No bread no fish of any kind including scampi . The all day breakfast cold . The employee said sooty about that !

Recless dangerous stuff! Avoid at all costs, especially if you have an allergy. I was served a coffee with daily milk while specifically asked for OAT milk. Response from stuff was: “that’s ok”!!! 🤬🤬🤬🤯😡😡😡

Had a Sunday lunch here yesterday with some friends. First of all I was struck by how friendly the landlord was. The food was delicious, lovely roast pork, lamb, nut roast and a nice selection of veg. The staff were very polite, pleasant and patient. The deserts were excellent, I had the stick toffee pudding with clotted cream and others had between them bread and butter pudding, apple and blackberry tart, profiteroles and all thoroughly enjoyed it. We all agreed that we wouldn’t hesitate to come back. One of the best Sunday lunches I’ve had in a lovely atmosphere.

Lovely friendly welcome from both staff and customers. We enjoyed our one night stay, our large comfortable twin room was well decorated, furnished and spotless. Comfortable beds with lovely en suite bathroom. Great food for both dinner and breakfast, good selection nicely cooked and presented. There is a large free carpark easy access in village center. The inn even has a 9 pin bowling alley for patrons to use.
