The best restaurants in South West

Our French visitors loved this pub, and so did we. It has a lovely ambience , a most welcoming host and staff, and a fantastic menu: great pub food, delicious and very generous portions. Prices were fair. Drinks were also very good indeed. The beer was well kept and served, and there is a very good range of local beers and ciders. We will definitely be coming back, and plan to bring other members of our family and friends here. Cannot be faulted, highly recommended.

We had a beautiful meal and service at the Rugglestone. I had the beef burger, which was local meat, and my partner had the fish, both cooked to perfection. A lovely warm atmosphere, Guinness was in excellent order aswell as the wine. Thanks for accommodating us. We will be back.

Very Good Italian food and nice restaurant. This was a Saturday evening visit and was busy. We were seated upstairs . For starters I chose the GAMBERI ALLA DIAVOLA £10 Tiger prawns sauteed with garlic, fresh chilli, white & Italian bread. For main I chose the SALTIMBOCCA ALLA ROMANA £21 Veal escalopes with sage & parma ham cooked in butter, wine and lemon. They were very well presented, cooked just right and tasted delicious. We chose a bottle of the Sauvingnon Blanc £29.95 which complimented the meal well. The service was good and friendly.

We had a very good stay at the Britannia Inn, overnight stay with the motorhome. The food was very good and the pub was also well set out. On the negative side the price was quite high (a large wine £10.00) but the food was very good and worth the price. We will definitely stay again

A lovely really old fashioned proper pub. Lovely food , great service by really friendly nice staff. It's such a shame we don't live close.. We were in the area for a holiday but unfortunately that fell through so on the way home we stopped here and am really glad we did because it was lovely. Thank you to all .

Lovely country pub, with lovely friendly and welcoming staff members, the food was some of the best we ate during our holiday. There is a little play area outside also for the children to keep them entertained which was great bonus.

Great staff, fast service, nice food. Great when your going to the Hippodrome and need to eat quick.

Friendly Italien restaurant selling pizza and pasta plus a few specials. Kept serving food even though a bit quiet on a Sunday evening

Went for an impromptu early supper. The staff were great as was the food. Loved the baked figs starter and then the pork belly and beef bourguignonne. Hubby had the Cadbury egg cheesecake! Apparently not too sweet. They were very helpful re my gluten and dairy intolerance. My only downside would be that the ambience in the restaurant area could be improved.

Had a fantastic takeaway from Morans in Westward ho! Prepared quickly and presented nicely. The taste was great. Would recommend the Yakisoba and the Satay even for kids.
