Proper community pub good beer, pleasant service

Dropped in from Brass Band competition at Cheltenham racecourse. First pub we found. Normal menu was closing at 16.00 so we waited for the Thai kitchen to open. Not disappointed, a varied menu, and good tasty Thai food at very reasonable prices. A happy accident.

Great for a thai meal - very well priced for a good quality meal. The pub is more of a sports bar so quite basic but the food is excellent quality, clean and very reasonably priced. Great for a quick mid week meal! Chef is thai so real authentic thai food. Staff and manager always friendly too.

Had a great dinner last night - was not expecting the food to be so delicious!! Definitely the best value Thai food in Cheltenham and more authentic than some of the better-known places in town centre. Recommend the fishcake starter and the green Thai curry. Can imagine the sticky chicken would make great beer nibbles! Staff were all really friendly and helpful too. We'll definitely be back!

This is a simple family friendly pub with great food at a great price . The food is absolutely 5 stars. I just read a bad review from this place mentioning the Thai food. Honestly , I can’t understand that . It is fresh , fragrant and as good as anywhere but on the contrary to others places it is so affordable. Drinks and food for quality price is really good .They show BT and sky sports .

Went with a big group of our neighbours. Food was amazing! Best Thai in Cheltenham. Excellent value and They catered for a big group with ease.

Not very impressed. Staff wasn't welcoming, environment was very quiet and dull for a pub that in my opinion should be little happening and warm. Only good thing they have most of your choice of drinks otherwise if you are looking for a place for less people and prefer not in crowd this place is for you.

Have been a few times now to try the Thia food, this evening we took family and they throughly enjoyed it good value for money and said how tasty and fresh it was. Enjoyed with a nice bottle of sav blanc which is reasonable priced. They are keen to go again. So we definitely recommend it.

Decided to try the Thai food from The Ridge for the first time from many recommendations and I have to admit, blown away! Fresh, fragrant and flavoursome food. Spicy but properly tasty, sweet sour, ginger etc etc. Highly recommend this place for authentic Thai food, can honestly say its like being in proper Thai restaurant not westernised overly spiced food.

Welcoming, friendly, felt at ease straight away. Landlord came to chat, and excellent advice (asked for) regarding which meal to choose. Dart board, pool table, football on TV. Typical pub with a Thai twist. Thank you so much for your hospitality. I was a very lucky single woman to walk through your door. Recommend, and will return.

Very friendly staff, all current sports events televised. They're even one of the few pubs around that have a pool table! If you're hungry there are always options. And its also a very clean and tidy establishment. I have no complaints.

Great welcome rec'd yesterday by a lovely member of staff, was able to pick our seat, food was great, the regulars seem friendly too, will definitely go there again if in the area

The place & the staff are very friendly and welcoming and you are never made to feel out of place. Great atmosphere.They offer a good range of Beers,Lager & Cider with a good selection of meals and snacks at reasonable prices. Smokers have a sheltered area outside.

Stopped with a group for a drink and early bite to eat. A typical pub. Food wasnt bad at all. Service was amazing! I know a few expensive restaurants who could take a leaf out of their book.

Without doubt this is a community pub, not really aimed at tourists etc, we had driven past it for years and always wondered what it was like. It definitely exceeded our expectations, the staff and customers were friendly and chatty and the food was both good value and very tasty. I had fish and chips and it was cooked perfectly and not greasy. Highly recommended
