Fantastic restaurant on sea front. Amazing fresh, well presented and full of flavour food, plenty of it! Atmosphere is very relaxed, team make you feel very welcome and aim to please. Very clean, well laid out and nice decor. Will definitely be returning! Good job team, you made us have a very enjoyable evening. Made it extra special by acknowledging my birthday!

Sooooo bad!! I had a chip sandwich and the bread was soggy?! Some kid was screaming the whole time and got a headache by the time I left, tables were so dirty had to clean it myself. When i walked in the shop, it smelt really weird. Sand all over the floor and nearly slipped! Could be a hazard to young children.

A random find on Google when wanting a last minute place to eat by the water on Easter Sunday. Lively and funky decor, friendly and efficient staff, and great music from the 60s, 70s and 80s that created atmosphere but quiet enough to allow for easy conversation. We all ordered the fish and chips and the service was really fast - I've had slower service at my local chippy. The chips were more like fries but still tasted great and the batter on the fish was perfect - crisp, not greasy, and perfect balance of batter to fish. Portion sizes were about spot on for us. We had our seat overlooking the water where we could see the ships in the docks opposite.

I've used Weatherspoons many, many times and have always appreciated it for what it is: Affordable, basic food. This said, our visit to the Swan was more than dissapointing. We ordered 2 lots of the hunters chicken, the steak pudding and a jacket spud with beans and cheese. All were really poor. There was a tiny amount of BBQ sauce on the hunters chicken so we went to look for some in the sauces only to be told that you now have to pay for it!! At 99p for a tiny pot. I politely pointed out that hunters chicken is a bbq flavoured meal and every other wetherspoons supplies it with plenty on. I was simply told "if you want more, you'll have to pay for it". Customer service was awful. The portion sizes of all of the meals is dramatically smaller than they were and the prices higher. The steak pudding was cold in the middle and there were 12 chips on the plate...........the peas were nice, that was all. I did pass comment to a member of staff who didn't even manage words. We got a shrug. I travel the country extensively with my work and wetherspoons is always the first place I put into my sat nav for a breakfast or lunch. No more. From now on I will simply search for Greggs or Green king/hungry horse for something cheep and cheerful. I've always spoken in support of Wetherspoons when others have not. I doubt I will again. Pick up your game Wetgerspoons, you're going downhill fast but there's still time.

Positive - We have been coming to Weymouth for the last 5 years and we always visit The Palm House for breakfast at least once every visit. The Palm House is a nice, friendly, quirky place for a fry up. The ingredients in a full English breakfast taste like good quality and it’s decent value for money. Negative - Yesterday morning, for the first time in all our visits half of our group were very disappointed in their breakfast experience. Firstly the wait for our hot drinks and food were extremely long. We waited 20mins for our hot drinks and 40mins for our breakfasts. As usual our 3 of us had fry ups and other than the wait they tasted really nice. However 1 of our group had an omelette (£8) and when it came out it was very small, about the size of a saucer and had a small bit of lettuce. Nowhere near (£8) worth. The last a pancake with strawberries and bananas (£8). When it came out (after 40mins) it had 1 strawberry cut up into lots of small pieces and about 5 small, thin slices of banana. What made it worse was the folded up pancake was raw! That order went back as it was not fit to eat and they cooked another pancake. To make sure this pancake wasn’t raw they actually overcooked it to the point it was crispy and my group member could snap it. Sadly it turned out to be a disappointing visit for our group but because of our previous experiences we would still return next year to give them the benefit of the doubt.

As always the staff were fab - friendly, helpful and professional The food was lovely - the beer and the wine are always great The downside to this visit (& we visit often) was the loos - they were a total mess and it’s not the staffs fault - they are all super busy looking after the customers - they do not stop their whole shift - I think there needs to be more staff per shift We will be back we love the pub, the staff and the setting/views
