Fantastic restaurant on sea front. Amazing fresh, well presented and full of flavour food, plenty of it! Atmosphere is very relaxed, team make you feel very welcome and aim to please. Very clean, well laid out and nice decor. Will definitely be returning! Good job team, you made us have a very enjoyable evening. Made it extra special by acknowledging my birthday!

Expensive! £4 for a saveloy that literally had no flavour wasn't even edible, £9 for a bit of fish about 8cm long 3cm wide (was tasty but tiny) have to walk outside and back in separate doors to order, waiting staff couldn't speak English so had no idea what we was asking him, 59p for a sachet of sauce. Really underwhelming, very disappointed used to be a place we visited every holiday, never again. £6 for frozen nuggets not even proper nuggets!

Popped in here for lunch whilst in Weymouth. First impressions were that it looked a tad small, but there is additional seating at the back, which provided ample room. There is also outdoor seating for slightly better weather. The large Cod and Chips (plus cup of tea) was decent. I wasn't particularly struck on the chips as they seemed more like fat French fries, and were all a bit hard, but the fish was excellent. It was flaky and tasty and wasn't ruined by the batter (as so much chip shop fish is), but instead was complimented by it. This is because the batter wasn't overwhelmingly thick or crispy, but rather slightly more sparse and soft. I realise I'm not making it sound great, but I can assure you it really was. My young daughter also enjoyed eating the fish, and if it passes her ridiculously fussy and painfully fastidious standards, then it must be good. Sauces come in those ridiculous little pods that, combined over the course of a year, undo pretty much the entire nation's efforts to cut back on single-use plastics. I'm pretty sure you have to pay extra for them too. There are no bottles on tables here... The price was about what I'd expect these days, so no real complaints there. All in all a good meal and a decent visit.

A random find on Google when wanting a last minute place to eat by the water on Easter Sunday. Lively and funky decor, friendly and efficient staff, and great music from the 60s, 70s and 80s that created atmosphere but quiet enough to allow for easy conversation. We all ordered the fish and chips and the service was really fast - I've had slower service at my local chippy. The chips were more like fries but still tasted great and the batter on the fish was perfect - crisp, not greasy, and perfect balance of batter to fish. Portion sizes were about spot on for us. We had our seat overlooking the water where we could see the ships in the docks opposite.

Positive - We have been coming to Weymouth for the last 5 years and we always visit The Palm House for breakfast at least once every visit. The Palm House is a nice, friendly, quirky place for a fry up. The ingredients in a full English breakfast taste like good quality and it’s decent value for money. Negative - Yesterday morning, for the first time in all our visits half of our group were very disappointed in their breakfast experience. Firstly the wait for our hot drinks and food were extremely long. We waited 20mins for our hot drinks and 40mins for our breakfasts. As usual our 3 of us had fry ups and other than the wait they tasted really nice. However 1 of our group had an omelette (£8) and when it came out it was very small, about the size of a saucer and had a small bit of lettuce. Nowhere near (£8) worth. The last a pancake with strawberries and bananas (£8). When it came out (after 40mins) it had 1 strawberry cut up into lots of small pieces and about 5 small, thin slices of banana. What made it worse was the folded up pancake was raw! That order went back as it was not fit to eat and they cooked another pancake. To make sure this pancake wasn’t raw they actually overcooked it to the point it was crispy and my group member could snap it. Sadly it turned out to be a disappointing visit for our group but because of our previous experiences we would still return next year to give them the benefit of the doubt.

As always the staff were fab - friendly, helpful and professional The food was lovely - the beer and the wine are always great The downside to this visit (& we visit often) was the loos - they were a total mess and it’s not the staffs fault - they are all super busy looking after the customers - they do not stop their whole shift - I think there needs to be more staff per shift We will be back we love the pub, the staff and the setting/views
