The food was absolutely exceptional,I can thoroughly recommend this restaurant.The pizzas had an amazing tomato base the best I’ve tasted and the handmade cheesecake was to die for, add to all this great service and this definitely gets five stars from me

Really good, honest service and tasty food. Having so many gluten free options with cross contamination measures taken was so reassuring for a coeliac too. Would definitely recommend.

I visited Bacaro last night and I would highly recommend.. the service was great and the young girl who served us was very helpful. I would highly recommend the Seabass and king Prawn linguini… it is superb…

It was like Love Island for toddlers. We were sat near the lovely open air entrance and witnessed the most dramatic scene of love and rejection. This little lady in pink, maybe 15 months, was dancing her little heart out to no music. She could barely stand. Had one too many sippy cups of juice perhaps? Get ahold of yourself! Then along comes this little chap from the next table over. Maybe 2 and a half? Obviously hadn't had as many sippy cups, actually kept to his feet. (Except that actual sip of cocktail his dad have him...). They danced right up to the point where she tries to give him a hug. Arms out. Walks up to him with a big grin and he just shuts her down. Hands between his legs, drops into a full squat and stares at the ground. She doesn't care. Just goes back to dancing and he joins back in. Again! She goes for the hug and he rejects. Dad starts goading him on. "Come on, give her a cuddle" (gross). Don't you wanna give her a cuddle? (Gross). Dad starts making smoochy noises. "Give her a little kiss?" Jesus dad. No need to escalate. Anyway. He was having none of it and she had a great time without his affection. All the parents were Essex btw.

As yesterday was my husband’s birthday The meal was very disappointing , Firstly the carbonara had no chicken in the meal, when I asked was told deductions would be made at the point of bill, not offered alternative meal or a plate of chicken to add in very poor response , the dish was very bland as well The finishing touches were missing from an Italian restaurant, like having to ask for black pepper, Parmesan cheese or sauces non offered at time of meal being served , this lacked customer service & attention to detail When the bill arrived we had also been overcharged for the meal & drinks Could not recommend this restaurant based on lack of ingredients missing from a basic dish that was very bland & lack of basic finishing touches customer service was missing no attention to So disappointing

Nice restaurant on the main beachfront. Good choice of food of a mediterranean style. Helpful friendly staff. Good prices. Been here a couple of times now when in Weymouth.

We'd booked to have a family dinner at Bacaro at the end of a family holiday in Weymouth. We'd tried to visit earlier but were told it was fully booked despite the empty tables. The service was somewhat chaotic and to be honest, the staff seemed quite inexperienced. Our main problem was the food - two of us had ordered a pasta bake from the menu, which was cold when it arrived. The staff offered to have another prepared, but the second meal wasn't the same as the first and didn't include any of the ingredients listed on the menu. It was horrible. The staff offered us 10% off those items on the bill, but we felt they should have refunded both means since they were returned pretty much uneaten. I don't remember the last time I returned a dish in a restaurant.

I had the prawn and squid risotto which was faultless and we had the carbonara which matched. Now this not a sleight on the establishment itself but as a couple we would have stayed longer if not having three separate families with screeching toddlers sat on three adjacent table after we had arrived and ordered. Again family venue so that fine but the rest of the place was empty and it was just so loud we struggled to communicate over the table. Dessert and drinks were abandoned for a quick exit which was shame as it was great. It was probably too late to switch tables without being obvious. Will return but will try to select a table with more tactics next time.

Best linguine I have ever had . Whole table thoroughly enjoyed every plate . Great setting and lovely place too. Will definitely be back

Had delicious pizza and calamari. The service was brilliant so friendly and efficient. Dog friendly too and the waitress went and got our dogs their own bowl of water. Highly recommend

Just want to warn future customers...My kids could make a nicer pizza at the home kitchen. The pizza was topped with greasy cheddar and had a soggy base. We waited 45 minutes for the most basic food and the restaurant was only third full at the time. The garlic bruchetta is a cheap supermarket frozen garlic bread that was microwaved! No colour at all! Wouldn't mind too much but they charge a premium price for it lol.

Joined some friends here at 5.30 for a meal pre Pavilion show. I'd heard mixed reviews so was unsure about it. However, the food and service was good. The wine is pricey and it's a bit pushy on the drinks but not too hard sell. Excellent meals all round.

Incredible food, nice seating, and friendly staff

We came with our two children yesterday for a Sunday dinner. We had the best roast dinner ever. The food was amazing. Children had bolonese which they enjoyed. Kids portions were quite big, but not too big. Adult portion was rather big, but we had it all - so amazing. We'll definitely visit again when we're in Weymouth. Thank you having us.

Our family enjoyed a fabulous dinner here on Thursday night. The place is so lovely and the food was served with so much pride and tasted delicious. The lady who looked after us was so friendly, kind and helpful. She was the only person serving the tables and she was rushed off her feet but she kept smiling and made us feel welcome throughout our meal. We had steaks, risotto with a steak topping and the chicken tagliatelle - shout out to the chef - they were all wonderful. A few months ago we had a Sunday lunch there too - this was equally amazing! I’d go back for one of those again anytime!! Please visit this wonderful Weymouth gem of a restaurant- you won’t be disappointed 💛 Thank you Bacaro

Excellent food. One of the best pizzas I have had. Not much available parking close by, so best to park in one of the bigger car parks and walk a few minutes.

The Food was tasty enough so that was a good thing. Problem is with the description of what I received for the Lamb Meatball Pizza. You won't receive any Meatballs. You will get about the equivalent of a couple of Meatballs crumbled over the top. Either way, the description on the menu needs to be changed. Crumbled bits of meat do not constitute as a Meatball.

Very cozy! I will definitely come back here with my family. All my children were calm and ate delicious dishes, even the baby was calm, there was some kind of magical atmosphere, and this is rare for our family. I would like to thank the chef for the pleasant piquancy, it made my dish very special!

Second time here and we weren't disappointed. The food was outstanding. Highly recommend.

We have loved this place for years. But tonight the menu reduction really disappointed. None of the lovely puds, none of the smaller portions of adult meals all gone. Also asked for a bit of extra sauce in carbonara as dry and came back as soup. Poor. What a shame.

(19.09.23) I took my mother for a treat. Superb food choices on the menu. We chose the Pistachio Encrusted Cod and the Pork Belly. Both cooked to perfection. We also had a dessert of tiramisu, which finished off a great meal. Great service from the young staff which made it a great meal and a great night out. Thank you.

I’ve been to this establishment several times now and the food is phenomenal. The service, too, is also very good. During my last visit an employee by the name of Kyle Williams served me. He was a nice young man and deserves a pay rise 💪🏻

Awful place, I sat by the kitchen area and watched staff with their hands in different foods, not washing hands in between and not wearing gloves. Garlic bread had no garlic just tasted of butter when asked for more garlic was sent a garlic paste. I asked originally for tomato garlic bread but was told no tomato paste, ( so what are they putting on the pizzas?). Spaghetti bolognese was Luke warm and tasted as if it had been bought in ready made, not an authentic Italian. Chicken carbonara had three cubes of chicken so not even proper chicken, seemed like this sauce was also bought in ready made. Minimum effort for maximum profit. Steer well clear,

We've order calamari and garlic bread as starter, and bolognese, polo with spaghetti and tagiateli with zuca.. The food was horrible, far away from an Italian food. And they also charged us extra for the drinks that is not clear in the menu, such as a scam. The waitress was a bit rude and very unclear. Never go back and I don't recommend it.

Very pleasant dining space with very nice attentive staff. Food however was a huge let down. I had the tagliatelle bolognese and the portion size was ridiculously small, and it was pretty bland. I had some of my wife's risotto which was also pretty tasteless and my 2 boys had pizza which they didn't enjoy very much. Such a shame.

Eating in for the first time yesterday, the food was amazing, good quality and very tasty. Very friendly service. Wouldn’t recommend the tables next to the stairs towards the toilets if you want to have some privacy.

Suberb place, great location, lovely food, great service and ambiance, 9 of us dined at lunch and all were impressed and enjoyed everything that was ordered. Will be back again!

Busy restaurant, we were lucky and didn't wait too long for a table, probably best to book. Food was hot, fresh and tasty, for 4 people we paid £88 for 2 sides and 4 main. The Staff were exceptionally busy but dealt with the dinner time rush amazingly and always with a smile. Would definitely visit again.

Just been to weymouth and went here for a meal, I had the baked pistachio crusted cod and it was absolutely devine. Compliments to the chef who cooks very well and the ladies who are very helpful. I recommend it here and wish it was closer to where I live!

Very nice food, good value for money and great waiting staff

First of all, sorry I didn't take any photos of the meals, the meals were so nice I just wanted to get on with eating it, I had chicken carbonara and my wife had spaghetti Bolognese with a garlic bread to share, it was lovely 😊 sue had j20 I had san Miguel which went well with the meal so I had another ( did I just say that out loud?) Had a nice time there, really enjoyed our selves.

Food was very mediocre, and not authentic italian. Left pretty underwhelmed.

The positive thing here was the food. The risotto with the fillet was extremely tasty, even if the desired cooking point was only medium instead of medium-well. However, the service seemed unmotivated/inattentive. The order was taken with a delay even though the restaurant was not full. Unfortunately, there was no query as to whether everything was OK.

My overall experience was disappointing unfortunately. The atmosphere/design of the place is lovely. Service is good however the food and WC facilities at the time were disappointing. I had the chicken carbonara and it felt like it was a frozen meal heated up. Probably not but for whatever reason it just didn't feel like it was worth the price tag. Quite dry and served warm. My friends wife felt the same having the same. I must say however!! The chilli mozzarella cheese balls were nice and I would happily order them again. Now, the toilets. Every one of them blocked. Upon notifying them, I was told "nothing we can do". I 100% understand at the time that was true however I do believe they could have at least made an announcement of the situation and the alternative (going next door) rather than doing nothing and everyone dining finding out the hard way. In reflection, I will visit again and give them another go. The service was good and I enjoyed the atmosphere of the place. Just hoping the food is better next time round.

Bacaro is my favourite place to eat with my family in Weymouth…and there are plenty of places I like in the town. The service is great, friendly, fast, attentive but not overly so. There are errors made in all restaurants with wrong drinks or food items delivered, but this is a rare occurrence here and when it happens there’s no awkward quibbling, just fast response and resolution. The menu is a good combination of Italian options at reasonable prices with a limited wine list but a broad range of options and a well stocked bar. The decor is really cool and clean, with a fantastic location and view straight out to beautiful Weymouth bay…with a fully opening frontage for the warm weather. If you want a pizza and glass of wine, 3 course romantic dinner in a relaxed setting or a family dinner or birthday party with kids, this is a great option.

The restaurant is beautiful, really nicely decorated, looks like you could expect a fine Italian food. You don't need to book and it was the only one around that fit the 8 of us. Unfortunately the stuff was completely disorganised. There was just a few people in the restaurant but we had to wait about 20 minutes before someone came to take our drinks order. The stuff is young and they were busy chatting and laughing. The drinks were fine, there's decent choice of wine (no cocktails though). The worst part - food for half of us arrived quite fast, the rest of us waited 20 minutes more. I think it's quite basic knowledge to serve all people at one table at the same time. Now for the food. The pastas were OK, so were the olives, garlic bread and that's about it. The kids pizza was awfully thick and not cooked inside. The pork was chewy and impossible to eat, potatoes without any flavour. The 3 mini pizzas were just the bases covered with really strong tomato sauce that overtook any other flavours. It's nowhere close to be called Italian food, honestly you do better even with Prezzo. Raised concerns with waitress but she just said something like 'ok sorry' and wasn't interested at all. Really disappointing!

Wow wow wow. What a great Italian dining experience in Weymouth. It was a beautiful laid-out restaurant with an open cooking kitchen. The starters were exceptional the fried Gnocchi with garlic was bursting with flavour, and before it was served my senses could smell this lovely garlicky aroma, this was a starter that would knock the socks off a lot of places I have eaten, the paste with cress was just perfect combination. The main course was just like exploding with flavours, the chef knew his hand and his flavours as Tagliatelle di Zucca, Butternut and shallots roasted then pureed and fried to create an interesting, flavoursome new pasta dish and Damm it was good the paste was perfectly balanced and just went so well with pasta. Baked Pistachio Crusted Cod Served with pistachio cream sauce, crushed new potatoes and creamed leeks, Oh my god this was the one the cod cooked to perfection all the accompanying parts on the plate made all the difference, again the chef surpassed the elements of cooking and smashed or out of the park. The kids' menu was really wea ll thought out, garlic bread was soft and tasty. Mini Pizza Margherita, lovely tomato base with good amount of cheese on the pizza. The only thing that was a disappointmernt was the desert, Raspberry and Pistachio Cheesecake served with pistachio crumb and raspberry compote, no tatse on the cheese cake no flavoiur in the cheese tatse more like actual soft cream cheese with pistachios. Overall fantastic staff and welcoming place to dine in. Definitely recommend this place and make sure a reservation has been

When we arrived. We were warned there may be a wait for the food because of parties going on. We stayed. Can't fault the quality of service from all the staff, even the barman helping out carrying food. Well done great team work. We had Goats cheese for starters excellent choice on our part, not strong in flavour but very enjoyable. We then ordered 2 x Italian style burgers with chips. The burgers we're full of flavour even with Mozarela and not the Blue cheese as stated.. Chloe the Manager you have an excellent working environment. Keep up the good work. Steve & Karen

Seems very unorganised. Waited over an hour for our starters, which we were then told hadn't been ordered. So brought them out with our mains. They discounted our drinks for the mistakes. But taking orders by memory is half the issue

Was bad, not seasoned, nothing at all. Service was nice, everything else was hot.

The service here is good (note reservation is required) Food was overall good, scored 4 as the steak was cooked nicely, but the risotto was average. The pasta dish was flavoursome overall.

We went for a meal here on Easter Saturday evening. Service was excellent and friendly. The food was delicious and the portions were large. Staff were excellent and efficient.

Dog friendly ! We were going to sit outside with our dogs but a very cheerful waitress invited us in, seated us and brought a bowl of water for the dogs. I chose the 'Le carni' pizza and my wife had the meatballs in ham with spaghetti. Both were delicious.

After being messed about by The Kitchen in Portland (where we had a table booked but they said they didn’t have room for us), Chloe managed to fit us in and the food was wonderful. Parked right outside the restaurant. Didn't need to precooked a table. Service friendly, speedy and efficient. Tasty pizza, delicious cheesecake. Nicely decorated with green plant walls and flowers everywhere ( artificial but pretty). Lovely ambience. Would definitely recommend this place right on the seafront.

Oh my goodness! Best place I’ve ever eaten. I don’t think I’ve ever raved on about a place so much! And I’m definitely going back. The staff were lovely and attentive it was nice to see the chefs at work! And don’t even get me started on the cocktails!

The restaurant had a nice vibe and good customer service. But the food wasn't that great. We had Tomato Risotto & Chicken Spaghetti Pasta. The Risotto was quite bland.

Firstly I can't rate the food as I didn't get that far. On arrival I asked if we could sit on a table near to the window. We were told that the restaurant was fully booked of which I accepted.The staff then put us on a table next to quite a high stack of high chairs which we're so close it would have restricted our movement. I wasn't happy with this and asked if we could sit elsewhere,they said no so I said that we would go elsewhere. On the way out this obnoxious little child of a man said that I wouldn't get anywhere else to eat as Weymouth is fully booked. We had already decided before hand on our menu preferences and that it would have worked out that I would have spent around 90 pounds. Really in this current climate can you as a business afford to lose custom like this? After all this we did eat in another restaurant where the food and SERVICE was excellent 👌

Absolutely stunning. Food was absolutely amazing 10/10. Some very talented chefs in that kitchen. 100% would recommend to locals and anyone visiting weymouth. Will defo be back next time we are in Weymouth. Would be a shame to miss defo a place worth experiencing

It is an amazing place really well decorated with a great atmosphere, we were a bit disappointed with the food which had an amazing presentation but it was flavourless, the mini pizzas were fine. Great wine list and it is the perfect place for drinks.

Happy cheerful staff who are very efficient. Very nice food, some interesting menu choices. Good value. Happily go again.
