The best restaurants in Melcombe Regis Weymouth and Portland South West

Had a lovely afternoon tea here on whitsun week bank holiday Monday whilst on holiday in Weymouth . Sat outside on one of the tables out the back in the sunshine. Really good value for money and tasty . Lovely banana muffin as well . Staff very friendly as well. Could not fault it.

A truly brilliant place, way above the average culinary level of Weymouth. Small but solid drinks menu, high class in the specials food menu that was a nice extension of the default menu. Kitchen delivered in full. The absolute gem though was the waitress Tara who made our evening out so great, she was so energetic and funny and all of us loved her.

Brilliant service and food, we had mussels to start, grilled octopus , chicken in wraps and a chicken and mushroom casserole, flavours were excellent and all cooked perfectly. Thanks so much for looking after us the atmosphere was buzzing

We have been going to Mona's for a couple of years now and it is still as fantastic now, if not better than our very first visit. The 2 ladies in charge are fabulous in the way they take care of you. It is a simple menu but the food is absolutely delicious! We say that if you are ever in Weymouth then Mona's must be on your list.

Just visited with my partner and both had mint chocolate and the supposed gelato was the most watery tasting ice cream I’ve ever eaten. Not only this but we both had ordered exactly the same and one was nearly twice the size of the other. As a local I advise going elsewhere, plenty of better options in Weymouth!

We queued for 45 minutes after being told that this place was amazing but we weren't impressed! I went for a hot donut with chocolate ice-cream, the icecream was amazing but the donut was like a brick so I couldn't eat that. My daughters chocolate milkshake was missing from the order and when I asked for it it came without the cream and toppings. She said it tasted funny and I tried it and threw it straight in the bin. It wasn't the experience we were expecting and we wouldn't go again.

Paddy and Bernie perfect hosts. Lovely bijou hotel right on the esplanade handy for everything, it may be small but it is spotlessly clean, warm and friendly, comfortable and laid back. We found this only two years ago but we try and get back here two or three times a year. It deserves patronage, but don't all rush, leave some for us.

was £5 for full english breakfast was not had to pay extra tomatos or black pudding to bee added and bread felt stale 2 slice ,no frien bread opition ,could have brought what eat for about £1.75 in a local supermarket .dont get me started on tea prices worlds gone mad on them

Been a member for over 25 years and seen the Club develop due to the hard work of the members. Lovely club room, good priced bar and regular events, starting to rebuild after the effect of the pandemic. Various membership levels available according to your needs. very friendly atmosphere, and you don't have to be a sailor for membership.

Travelled to weymouth on Sunday 26 May to celebrate my brothers brithday. Booked tables in advance as it was bank holiday. Recieved booking confirmation. Arrived at playyard to find its not even open on a sunday!

Getting us used to the new look Vaults Bar at the Crown Hotel. More features on the walls. Nice to see Amy again, behind the bar.

We opted for the early evening tasting menu - fewer courses and a bit cheaper than the main evening meal, but very good . Excellent service. The timing (eating at 6pm) suited us perfectly on this particular visit.
