Rona Bar & Grill in Weymouth and Portland

Food was fresh and flavourful. Good range of starters, dishes and choice. Beer selection and taste was disappointing.

At the time of writing this review (valentine’s day 2025) this restaurant really caught my attention. The service was excellent, the food delicious and affordable. I had the lamb shank which was cooked beautifully.

Had a dinner with a friend during Christmas, and it was lovely, the meals were great and the atmosphere was fantastic, great service for great price

One of my favourite places to eat in Weymouth. Atmosphere is always calm and the food is absolutely delicious. The lamb hummus and creamy chicken special is my go too. Delicious!!!

We went here for the first time...on a Tuesday...in January. It. Was. Amazing. The menu is very varied: something for everyone. I think I found my new favourite restaurant in Weymouth.

Really excellent meal, friendly service and comfortable atmosphere. This is a real highlight of dining in Weymouth. I felt like I was on holiday abroad even though I was at home in mid winter.

ThI best food I’ve ever had and as an 18 year old that may mean less than a lot of you but I’ve had a kebab and I tell u this is something else and something insanely unworldly amazing aand you’ve got to try it asap!!!!

First time to this restaurant and presently surprised (good way) considering this would not have been my typical cuisine of choice. A dish was ordered without mushrooms and it came with them. We did ask and one of the staff argued that we didn't inform them. The argument wasn't necessary and it was the person who took the order in the first place. Other than that, good!

First time and not disappointed all three of us enjoyed our starters and mains I hadn't eaten all day and good job ,as still couldn't finish the klevtiko lamb that fell off the bone .staff friendly and enjoyed the Turkish music could of been in turkey .

Have eaten here at the restaurant before and was impressed so decided to try it as a delivery, and also impressed. Large portions, great quality, and a lovely change from Chinese or Curry! We will be ordering again, highly recommended!

Walking past and saw this place. I love Turkish food so we booked for that night. The waiter was attentive and friendly. The food was outstanding . I had feta parcels to start and salmon for my main. Hubby had king prawn starter and lamb chops main . Beautifully presented and beautiful to eat. I highly recommend this restaurant.

There is a great atmosphere inside, low light, a wonderful place. The food and service were perfect and delicious like the atmosphere. They hosted us very nicely, they were very polite and kind to us. I ate Ali Nazik, my friend ate Chiken shish, it was so delicious that its taste is still on my palate. :) If we ever go to Weymouth again, we will definitely be here. If you want to have a nice meal and have a good time, you should definitely visit here

We would have loved to eat there - but were turned away quite abruptly at the door - because of our small dog. And that even though the restaurant was empty. Information about this would have been helpful, then we wouldn't have gone there for nothing. We then ate at Rockfish for over £100 - our dog was very welcome there! Edith: I rated exactly two restaurants negatively! Coincidentally on the same street. We looked on the homepage and in the reviews and found no restrictions regarding dogs. Since we are not from England, calling was not possible! Bans should be communicated openly - otherwise you have to live with a corresponding assessment!

Absolutely fantastic restaurant if you are in Weymouth go here for dinner you will not be disappointed. I had the mixed grill the selection of meats were cooked perfectly and delicious the lamb chops were excellent probably some of the best I have eaten in a Turkish restaurant. Friendly attentive staff reasonable prices if I ever come back to Weymouth ill be eating here again for certain.

Lovely mixed kebab, good quality, very fresh nice salad and generous portion of bread included. Baba ganoush light with great flavour. Friendly delivery. Definitely recommend.

Food was great, but the Adana Kofte with Yoghurt was delivered without rice

food took 2 hrs to be delivered, after an hour they changed to 1hr 30 after i chased then still took 2 hrs and the food was cold. no refund offered and still charged me £2 for delivery

Had dinner here thrice during our holiday. The mixed grill (chicken wings, chicken cubes, lamb kofte and lamb chops) is superb; tasty, tender and good quality meat. Staff have amazing attitude. Toilet is clean. Hope they open a branch in Oxford.

Table for three last Friday whilst staying overnight in Weymouth. Very nice evening, Kebab Grill was great, was tempted by the Mixed Grill but, to be honest the KG was enough, Mussels & White Wine sauce starter - excellent. Couldn't fault this restaurant, would definitely return if in Weymouth. Not on the cheap side but really worth the expense. Best to book in advance, it gets busy at the weekend. Thank you the Rona Bar & Grill.

We had a salad and a babaganoush as a starter. Both very good. Then a lamb dish with vegetables. Very good dish served with rice. The only downside is that the quantity of rice served with the dish is really very small and when you ask for a little more they charge you £3.5 per portion. We got a bottle of water for £58.

Incredible food, cocktails, and service. The cold mezza platter and Mixed Kebab dishes were excellent. Can't recommend enough!

Very nice well come, Food and appetizers were legendary and best restaurant in the area.

This is the 3rd time I have ordered from Rona’s. Usually the food is delicious but tonight our meal was below par. It arrived 45 minutes late and cold. The chicken dish was soggy and cold. Our order was also wrong. We did not receive the aubergine.

Food was absolutely fantastic and fairly priced! the stuff weren’t rude but weren’t exactly the most friendly but I can’t moan too much as I wasn’t sitting next to them when I was eating! I would deffo come again!

We visited this restaurant last night whilst on holiday in Weymouth, we have many Turkish restaurants in our home city and this one would be right up there with the best. Very busy on a Monday evening, good atmosphere with nice music, friendly and very efficient service, the presentation of the food was excellent as was the taste, great overall experience, well done to you all 👍🏻🤩

Yummy best chicken shish ever and the chicken casserole was to die for. Generous amount in fact enough for another helping later. Yum yum

This restaurant is incredible. The service and staff were impeccable and if Specsavers wasn't across the road, I could believe I was on holiday in Turkey. The restaurant is clean with a wonderful atmosphere. The food was as good as, if not better, than anything I've had abroad and is well worth a visit! This is the best restaurant Weymouth has seen in years and way better than any of the chain restaurants that seem to have taken over authenticity. The cocktails/mocktails were delicious and the desserts were perfect. Thank you to all the staff, who asked if we were celebrating then brought out a slice of cake and sang happy birthday to my friend. I will definitely be returning soon.

Went again this week, really good, much better than last time.

Great quality of food, excellent service. We were delighted. We even waited 10 minutes for the chocolate cake to come out of the oven. The best in Weymouth.

Fantastic Turkish restaurant & definitely will be coming back again!! Was lucky to get a reservation that evening with less than an hour’s notice. Made for a brilliant date night with my partner & was pleasantly surprised with the bill, given the tastiness & wonderful presentation of the food! Top restaurant with great food and staff. Staff were very welcoming and even treated a guest of the party with a nice birthday treat and song. Couldn't fault the food with every dish we had having lots of flavour and tasted lovely. Would highly recommended for visitors or locals of the Weymouth area.

Usually love Rona’s. This time was late and Luke warm 🥹 still very very tasty hence 5 star for quality!

I previously rated 5 star in all aspects but we had a very rushed dinner experience on Sunday and were both really very disappointed with the the hot Meze sharing plate. The food was definately not very fresh and was served within around 4 mins after ordering after quick microwave warm up. Such a shame as previously was a very good experience and i guess we were just unlucky with what we ordered as other diners food looked quite nice.

Fabulous food, the lamb kleftiko was amazing i would highly recommend for people who love lamb. The staff was very welcoming and informative about the menu. We would highly recommend Rona.
