Another fabulous meal at our favourite restaurant in Weymouth. We didn’t mind waiting a little while for our food because it is cooked fresh and all the staff are always very polite and obliging. Would definitely recommend it.

Wow. Everything about this place is amazing. So glad we chose to eat here on our last night in Weymouth. The food was outstanding and so were the hosts. The flavours of the food were delicious. We will definitely come back here. Chef is fabulous, as are the hosts, and the atmosphere made us feel like we could stay for hours, a lovely, family run venue with 5 star food and generosity. Thank you Greedy Seagull. Best meal I've had in a long time and a great way to end our holiday. Back to Portsmouth we go 😪 X

We dropped in without a reservation on a Saturday evening- we were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The food was absolutely amazing. We can’t thank the staff at the Greedy Seagull enough for making a very memorable evening for us- we shall definitely be coming back here next time we’re in Weymouth. Very very highly recommended.

Hadn’t booked but managed to get a table for two and so glad we did … starters and mains were both fabulous ( prawns mussels bread and dips etc) and prices very reasonable for the quality and the service we received.. will be back

Generally happy overall. Good presentation, accommodating with dairy issue, New 'Waiting Staff' was efficient in her work, not a big menu which personally limited my choice, Wine priced on the expensive side.

Absolutely lovely place to eat at, we didn’t intentionally mean to go here but we’re so glad we did and will 100% be coming back. Food is stunning 10/10 would recommend. Very reasonably priced I didn’t think it was “expensive” at all. At the end of the day you’re getting freshly cooked hearty food! Quite annoyed at some of the reviews on the this place, independent businesses are the life of this town and slating it is just wrong.

Lovely inside, and the service was impeccable! Me and my partner both ordered the mussels and they came in a huge frying pan! Absolutely delicious! And the octopus special for starter was beautiful as well! Very pleased we gave it a go

Service was very slow, waited over an hour for our order! ( we had children with us!!) Why did we wait? Food was ok but over priced for an hour wait. We will not be returning.

The food here is magic ! This is a really wonderful, unique find. A mixture of tasty food with such a nice variety. We had elderly people and kids and this place catered for all. What a place. Owner was kind and really knowledgeable. This is an old fashion, family run, delight !

My wife and I visited here on a Friday evening. It's a bit of a back street just off the harbour but what a find it was. Not particularly busy, just a few other tables but a great atmosphere with walls having a quirky cartoon seagull mural. The "staff" that evening seemed to be just the owner who was front of house and his wife who was the chef. With that in mind - if you're expecting fast slick service you might be disappointed (this is quality, freshly cooked food) but if you want a relaxed evening where the food is the centre of attention you will be glad you found this place. Our starters (pan seared scallops and tiger prawns) were excellent, as were the main courses (lamb Kleftiko and grilled lamb cutlets). I'd ordered a side order of hand cut chips which the manager gave me the chance to cancel when he delivered the main courses to the table as the portions were so generous ! We saw some of the other food going to other tables and it all looked top notch. A couple of other tables had the paella, which I'm not a fan of but it did look nice - loads of seafood sticking out of it - and the recipients were full of praise for it. Chef came out of the kitchen later to ask how we'd found the food - it was wholesome, tasty and delicious. Very intimate setting which is likely to get very busy at peak times so I would suggest booking. There's no draught beer but I wouldn't expect it in such a small restaurant. This will become a foodies destination when word gets around, I hope they've got room for us next time we visit Weymouth.

Fantastic family run restaurant, great paellas, steaks, calamari. Good selection of wines and beers. Friendly owners, can't do enough for you. Dog friendly also

What an absolute gem of a restaurant! We loved it so much we went back again for a second night running and equally as good as each other! T-bone Steak, Paella, Mixed Grill and great choice of wines! Clear to see these guys out their heart and Souls into running this place and can’t wait to go back again!

The poor waitress who was learning English messed up our orders. The owner who was very insulting towards her came over and explained this and expected us to eat the random tasteless dishes they brought over instead of what we asked for! The fish starters were frozen rubber, the lamb kleftiko had no flavour except cinnamon, my partners burger was completely raw which may be fine for a steak but dangerous with mincemeat. Overall, we were charged for dishes we did not order that were horrid. Do not recommend and I hope that waitress escapes to somewhere that treats her better.

Fabulous little restaurant, and steaks huge!

Called in on the off chance and managed to get a table even though they were very busy, the lady who served us was lovely and the food was excellent and reasonably priced, will definitely be back.

Stopped in on the off chance of a table for 2 without a booking and was welcomed warmly and accommodated. A nice intimate restaurant where you are made to feel at home and relaxed by the owners. Front of house was impeccable and what came from the kitchen was home made a delicious. A real treat. Thank you so much. We will be back.

This restaurant is quite something for all the right reasons. It combines, excellent food and reasonable prices, served in a friendly way with a great atmosphere. This is worth the trip even if you are not staying in Weymouth. One of the best overall dining experiences that I have had in over 40 years of travel, It is a must if your like Mediterranean food

Had a lovely evening meal for my wife and myself, we both had the Paella dish which was lovely but a bit more variety with the seafood would have been perfect. Overall a lovely evening with great atmosphere.

Small venue but very good food definition no microwave pub meal food served here! Only a handful of tables and it gets busy so probably worth booking.

Lovely meal, starter of calamari was a little chewy but the main course made up for that. Special board chicken and chorizo paella was delicious. The Lamb Kleftico was so tender and huge portion. All in all a good experience, so nice to go somewhere with such a range on the menu.

We came for a group dinner and I loved the place. The walls have great drawings on them, the staff were really lovely and the food/wine was great.

Completely taken aback by the sheer quality of the steak, the best I have had in years. I could order another right now. Calimari was well cooked and lightly spiced, and everything on the menu seemed to be realistically priced. Not cheap, but you're not getting this quality for cheap, and not expensive, either. Good portion sizes, unobtrusive music, lovely staff, make this a must for anyone looking for an independent restaurant serving good freshly cooked food. If I had to find a negative, the salad was a bit unimaginative, but it's sat there beside a big juicy steak, so... :)

As a large group of 15 people we had pre-ordered our main courses for dinner. However, having arrived at 8pm, we were served our main courses at 9:45pm. We also asked if we could order some starters on the day and they advised this would cause a delay- we said we didn't mind but asked for the food to come out as it was ready. We only received 3 starter courses (despite having ordered quite a few more) which also arrived late more than an hour and a half after ordering. The chef came to speak to us at 9pm to say that some of our party had gone to ask the waitresses when our food would be arriving (we had been waiting more than an hour and a half at this point) to which the chef bluntly told us she would not tolerate 'rude behaviour'. She later told us this had been a mistake and someone had confused us for another table. At the end, the bill was not calculated properly as they had no idea which starters they had delivered, and they had not correctly removed the deposit we had already paid. The food was good, and the waitress that served us was great, but we were appointed with the overall 2 hour delay for food despite pre ordering and the bad experience from the chef.

We ate here for the first after hearing mixed reviews and we were very pleasantly surprised! We shared a few tapas dishes to start and the olives were delicious and the calamari was delicious. They had a BOGOF offer on a 16oz steak which we opted for with myself ordering a medium and my partner requesting his well done. Both were cooked to perfection!! We will be back!

A lovely meal in a friendly and welcoming restaurant. Two of us had the paella which was really good and the other had Moules which were spectacular. As before the portions are large but excellent value for money. One f the top restaurants in Weymouth, up there with Rockfish down on the Esplanade.

I had a amazing Starter calamari cooked to perfection loved every mouthful and the garlic mayo really complimented it. For the main I have the rump steak medium rare and it was cooked to perfection and bravas style chips I loved them great service lovely atmosphere highly recommended

After deciding to try and get dinner a little late in the evening and being turned away by other restaurants we came across 'the Greedy Seagull' whom welcomed us in and were happy to serve us. The menu was a mix of popular Mediterranean cuisine and some British dishes. We opted for the Lamb Kleftiko and Seafood Paella. The lamb was very generous in size and slow cooked perfectly so it fell of the bone and served with a delicious selection of vegetables. The paella was cooked superbly with the rice being just right not too hard or too soft with fresh seafood and was better than some of the paella we have had previously in Spain. The staff and chef made us feel very welcome and unrushed despite it being so late and the service was second to none. The prices are very reasonable for the quality. The restaurant itself is comfortable, cozy and clean with some very vibrant decor. We look forward to our next visit which we hope will be sooner rather than later and would definitely recommend to our friends and family.

Loved this restaurant when 1st opened, the staff and chef was amazing and food was excellent, especially as so reasonable price wise. Returned for a meal last night and so disapointing, waited over an hour to be served, the food was not great quality ingredients and the way it was cooked was aweful. The chef and staff have all changed and sorry to say this has not been for the better. I used to recommend to everyone but sadly I won't be retuning.

Can’t understand this place, reviews online good so called in, but food was just dreadful, dry and overcooked. The starter was tasteless and mains I couldn’t eat. Maybe the real chef was off sick but I think this is the first time I have paid my bill and left without eating. Just awful, staff were friendly and decorations fun but food was a real shame. Can never understand why chefs get a plate of food back and don’t ask why!

Avoid this place - ordered olives which were so salty- couldn’t eat them - husband had scallops - 3 came and were quite clearly frozen ! Mains - burger not cooked brioche bun so over cooked couldn’t cut it - husband had seafood pasta - fish over cooked and whole dish dry - Complained got 10% off bill which is a joke - can’t possibly be a professional chef - can’t recall us both ever leaving a meal - thanks for ruining a birthday meal - we could have made a better effort ourselves - don’t waste your money - bet you won’t be here in a years time

One of my top 3 places in Weymouth and Portland. A small independent restaurant that is delectable in every way. Not only is the food superb, but the ambience makes you want to stay hour after hour. We visited tonight, which is a Sunday night out of season. Neither the service or the food quality has diminished in quality. That is why it remains a firm favourite.

Lovely tapas meal £20 as part of Food Fest deal highly recommend. , The Greedy Seagull tucked away but so worth looking for , been a few times now and it just gets better & better . Excellent wine , good value & tasty food , friendly efficient service & nice ambiance & decor , just love the seagull muriel. Thank you, hope to be back soon to sample the Christmas menu (photo).

Visited during Weymouth Feast and had the Feast menu which was 5 tapas for £20. It was amazing. The octopus was so tender. Presentation was beautiful, staff ever so friendly. Can't recommend highly enough.

we went there for my husband's birthday 25/09/23, we had such a wonderful time that we went back the next day. the food was amazing, the chef and waitress were so friendly and welcoming, and we loved the murals. this is our favourite restaurant in Weymouth. can't wait to come back here on our next holiday. i would highly recommend this restaurant.

The service was excellent, the food was excellent and tasted good but the portions were tiny even the main meal was on a tiny plate and looking at others plates were twice size of mine, one sausage , tiny piece of steak, the desert two mouthfuls if that of Apple crumble, starter the same minuscule .The wine was excellent, overall all good but because of portions not worth the value £48 pounds I paid . Third time here as only live 20 yards Away.

My husband had booked us table at the Greedy Seagull and needless to say, the staff, the food and the service were deeply below average. The meal I had ordered to my table was served raw and the second dish was cooked but awful. I’ve had better dinners out of a can. I do not recommend and will not be returning.
