One of our favourite places to visit whenever we visit Weymouth

We had wanted to try halls kitchen for a while, had been recommended by friends. Atmosphere was very casual and cozy. Our waitress (whose name escapes me) was a credit to halls! We had crab soup and mussels to start, both great, they where very generous portions. We both had steak (blue & rare) both cooked as intended but the general quality of the steak could have been better. we had a good evening. Thank you

A gem of a place. Family run and super welcoming. The food was absolutely amazing, delicious fresh produce cooked beautifully. Definitely worth a visit. I would highly recommend.

I had the lamb, my partner had the cod, both cooked and presented perfectly. All in all a lovely meal in a nice atmosphere. Cannot fault it.

The food and service were excellent, nice, friendly staff and delicious food. The prices were reasonable and would definitely recommend to family , friends and anyone who likes seafood .

We always go to Halls for my partners birthday when we visit Weymouth and have never left disappointed. The food is stunning, the ambiance is perfect and although not cheap I still feel we have value for money.

Easily the best steaks in Weymouth! This is our go to restaurant. Jason's cooking is superb and the service absolutely wonderful! It's a lovely, intimate restaurant with a great vibe. Booking definitely recommended this time of the year.

Not impressed. Mussels overcooked. Steak medium not medium rare with hard potatoes. Salad contained a whole raw carrot. Panach of fish was a plate of unseasoned hot fish with flobbery skin and gritty prawns. Not cheap...not great. Sorry.

Stunning!! The food and service this evening was absolutely incredible, I’ve never had lamb so good (recommended by the most lovely staff) First time eating at Halls kitchen and we will definitely be back! Absolutely has made our last minute weekend away perfect. Can’t recommend enough! Please leave reviews and show your support to these incredible independent businesses. One of the best meals we’ve had in a very long time! X

Had a wonderful meal at this lovely little restaurant in central Weymouth. Decor and atmosphere was great, service was great and it was a very friendly place. Food was amazing - we had the scallops to start, and seabass and hake for mains which were all delicious, also enjoyed the creme brullee for dessert! Highly reccomend and will be back next time we are back in Weymouth!

I feel compelled to share this experience. We had an excellent server, Jess, who was back and forth, consistently polite, and was an absolute pleasure. The other waitress kept hiding away in the toilet, or going outside and we barely saw her, and we didn’t catch her name (and please bare in mind, this was a busy evening) Jess was excellent, and there was some trouble with the card reader when we came to pay, which left us waiting but she dealt with it. The other girl came over and, to my face, apologised for Jess ‘not bothering’ to take out payment. We had seen and heard the entire thing, so to have her come up and lie to us ruined our experience, regardless of how excellent the food was Jess herself deserves the full 5 stars. But she couldn’t even keep the tip we gave her.

A little bit of finery in the heart of Weymouth. Absolutely beautiful food, expertly cooked to perfection. We had the fillet steak which melted on your tongue and the panache of seafood in saffron sauce which was packed with flavour complimenting the delicate nature of the variety of fish. A Dorset selection of cheeses and the best chilli jam I've ever tasted. Fine wine, relaxed informal chats with the attentive waiting staff made for a fantastic evening. Not overly priced and would absolutely recommend.

Is a really nice place for sea food. Food was fresh and taste so nice. Is one of those better restaurant in Weymouth. We order a starter to share and both our main course were so fresh and taste so good. We will come back here again if we ever visit Weymouth again. Highly recomended.

My wife and I visited Halls Kitchen for the first time over the weekend and it was a thoroughly enjoyable evening. The small interior is cosy and provides a warming ambience but it's not so cosy that you are rubbing elbows with the table next to you. This closeness does however, allow a glimpse into the kitchen where you it is possible to see the chef preparing the food, where the kitchen staff worked diligently to get our food out in good time. Between us, we ordered the king prawns to start followed by the sea bass and rack of lamb. All 3 plates were well presented and tasted great. The basket of bread we ordered, used to mop up any remaining sauce. The plates went back empty, which I think is always a good sign. The size does mean the single toilet provided is unisex, however that shouldn't put you off, as it was emaculate. When it came to the price, personally I thought it was perhaps a little high for what we had, although my wife found it good value, so no real complaints there. Overall, we really enjoyed spending our child free evening at Halls Kitchen and will definitely be back.

Well, If ever a place was punching above its weight, this is it. First impressions on arrival was good, atmosphere busy and had a nice buzz. Initial service was attentive, but that's where it stopped (you're in, seated, got a drink, so we'll ignore from here on in ) Food was 'very' average. Rack of lamb was cold with fat not rendered, so cut off as a lump of waste - poor. The price of the the food, far outweighs the quality of cooking or presentation. Chef needs to take a reality check and either cook to a better standard, or lower the extortionate prices for amateurishly cooked food.

Sadly very disappointing. The starters were ok, I had steak as my main and the potatoes were burnt. The steak was very mediocre and it came with basically no real veg except a massive shallot. The potatoes were also covered in fried onions. It was an onion overload. Partner had a seafood dish and the salmon was full of bones. He had potatoes with it and they were also burnt. Pudding was creme brulee that was cold, it was nice but should be served warm. Partner had a cheese board with dry cheese, crackers and we had to ask for cutlery and chutney which didn't come as they had none. Our bill wasn't reduced. He waited then just started to eat it as it wasn't coming anytime soon. They ran out of the drink I was having. It's extremely expensive for what you get. We are happy to pay good money for nice food but this was £140 and it wasn't a good experience. We wouldn't return.

This is a small friendy restaurant with amazing food. Few covers so booking is essential. Small menu which is perfect as every dish is carefully thought through with wonderful textures and flavours. We have been before and will go certainly go again.

The Halls Kitchen is a real Gem to be found in Weymouth. Excellent choice of main courses, lovely food efficiently served by the very attentive and helpful waiting staff. Good choice of wines. We just wished we could have stayed longer and would make a point of returning soon just so we can sample the sweets! Well worth a visit

Food was really good but they had no beer only Carling which was not a good start. It was a birthday celebration for 10 people so pretty poor and when asked if we could bring our own beer from the shop they reluctantly popped out to get us some perroni 🙄 serving staff were not interested and actually quite rude & very unprofessional. At the end of the meal they told us they shut at 10 and to basically hurry up, when asked them for coffee the reply was sorry we have cleaned the coffee machine now 🙄 £500 bill and awful staff who did nothing but be negative about the kitchen and the business. Have eaten here before & always recommended but unfortunately we will never eat here again 😕 seems like the owner has lost interest in his customers.

Best restaurant in Weymouth by far. The food and service are unbeatable.

Had a meal here with friends. As I'm vegetarian there was very little choice for me but both the starter and main were absolutely amazing. I definitely will be going back, by far the best local restaurant. Everyone else loved their meals too, great atmosphere and good service. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful meal at Hall’s Kitchen over the weekend. The team could not have been more warm & welcoming from the second we stepped through the door. Lovely atmosphere. Food was superb! We had a mixture of seafood/meat dishes and it was all delicious and perfectly cooked. Tasted amazing 👌 Would 100% recommend visiting!

Very nice, friendly restaurant in Weymouth town centre. Warm welcome and fast, efficient service. Attention to detail with the food. Pretty presentation. We dined as a family but our kids are quite used to dining out (it’s not really a kids place). Would have given 5 stars if they had some AF options such as wine or sparkling wine. I was only offered soft drinks such a juice or coke, which was not what I wanted with my meal. Very busy so would suggest booking. A good find.

Fantastic service- such friendly waitresses and I could see how hard the kitchen staff worked all evening also. Christmas dinner menu was lovely, favourite was the battered Brie! Thank you for making my husband feel looked after with his coeliac needs, nice for him to eat out and feel relaxed. Atmosphere also very intimate, cosy and festive. Really recommend and hope to return, next time with our children!

Wonderful cosy restaurant. The starters of prawns and mussels were outstanding, followed by a superb steak, great rack of lamb and delicious duck. The young lady, Tara, who served us was terrific, very professional with a wicked sense of humour. Best meal in the last three years we’ve been lucky enough to live in this area. If you’re ordering the panache of seafood make sure you bring your appetite - it could easily feed two. Very highly recommended.

Beautiful food well presented with spot on service

Visited for a wedding anniversary meal. It was very much enjoyed by both of us! The duck in particular was absolutely delicious! It's a small restaurant with an intimate feel. Would definitely recommend for couples.
