Boho Gelato in Weymouth and Portland

So tasty. Bounty gelato was amazing, as was the banoffee.

Not sure what this was but it wasn't gelato. Bought strawberry and Bounty flavours. Strawberry was overly sweet and has a powdery consistency. Bounty was flavourless and again had a very powdery consistency. Could have been an odd batch but since there are many other gelato shops I'd try them first.

Taste quite ok, salted camel very good, Unfortunately consistence impossible, i had a piece of something frozen the size of half of the finger. A lot of frozen bits. Not a great service. Not worth 7.50 for 3 scoops.

The gelato all had freezer burn and it was tasteless, they were unable to put it in a cone as it was too hard. This should have been a. Red flag before we purchased. Definitely not what all the good reviews suggested.

We were quite excited for the ice cream seeing the queue. Service was all good, and saw that workers were letting people try different flavours. Tried the bounty and licorice flavours, and both were quite disappointing and we didn't finish the cup. Not very creamy and neither were particularly tasty! Maybe we chose the wrong flavours to try, but very surprised how meh it was!

Terrible experience. They had cones but would not let us actually order ice cream in a cone. Only allowed cups and we had to spoon the ice cream ourselves if we wanted to have it in the cone. Terrible customer service, ice cream quality was poor. Avoid at all costs!

Very rude and rushed service. Though the selection looked decent and it's a nice day for a gekato, they refused to serve gelato in a cone. When asked why this was, they said they were happy for us to leave. So we did and we never to return. Save yourself a trip, go see the ice cream van, at least you know what to expect

Refused to serve us the gelato in a cone, even for children. Had to purchase in cup and the staff watched me spoon the scoop out and put it on top of cone while child was crying. Policy of the manager apparently, who was absent. Even the vendors had no explanation for this senseless policy.

While on a visit to Weymouth, just by chance, we discovered this little gem. Having never tried gelato, and liquorice ice cream for that matter, we were blown away. Please remember that Gelato ice cream is different to normal ice cream while making your judgement. Oh, by the way, the free toppings and sauces were an added bonus. Will definitely use again- we highly recommend this place. 5*+.

Worst ice cream ever, no flavour, sloppy. Threw it away and I'm normally not fussy

Very friendly staff, the place was easy to find. After looking at previous reviews we had high expectations for the place, but didn't feel it lived up to that, as the flavors we chose were a little flavourless or icy (for £3.50 for 1 scoop) than we're used to with the Dorset ice cream. But a lovely environment none the less, right near the river.

Great place for some excellent quality ice cream and sorbet. The best was lemon & thyme sorbet, packaged for taking back to our caravan for a cheeky cold shot of gin poured over for dessert.

Fantastic gelato with a great variety of flavours. Added bonus of being right by the harbour to sit and enjoy the gelato by.

Apparently they used to Boho Gelato which has a Brighton branch which I've been to many times as I live nearby, so I expected a few vegan flavours. Unfortunately they only had one (pineapple) which was nice enough but not as adventurous as the ones I'm used to in Boho.

Extremely rude girl member of staff in here! Black cherry gelato tasted like half melted milk. Don’t recommend. More expensive here than other parlours. Save your pennies and go elsewhere.

Been and had an ice cream with my husband and son today. This was by far the best I have ever tasted. I had the coconut and hubby and son had the chocolate. The texture and the taste was amazing, will definitely be going back again before we go home.

Having become independent of BoHo full marks to Bepo for honouring my full BoHo loyalty card. Quality has been maintained though the scoops are not quite as generous perhaps. The introduction of a half scoop at £1.75 is great if cash is tight or like me ice-cream and wafer together are the best part!!

Giggi ice-cream. The best ice-cream in Weymouth. Awesome flavours, friendly staff and a nice environment to sit inside and enjoy your treat if you wish.

Beautiful decor and a wonderful atmosphere. The ice cream is incredible, both in flavour and texture, for a good price. Definitely coming here again, this has set my holiday standards high!

Came across this little gelato shop today ! Too much delicious flavours to chose from so the friendly staff let me sample the 2 I was trying to decide between ( can only have 1 scoop as lactose intolerant !!) but the staff very kindly gave me half a scoop of black cherry and half a scoop of coconut ! Lovely clean shop , fantastic gelato and amazing staff - well done , I definitely recommend !

What an amazing find this was, a little gem a side street opposite the harbour. Amazing ice cream, fantastic flavours but most of all the friendliest service I have ever experienced. We will be back for sure next time we are in Weymouth.

Really divine ice-cream, the melon flavour was to die for, reminded me of summers in Hungary. My companion was delighted with the saffron & rose. Recommended, often missed where it is tucked away , don't do that, hunt it down !!

Every time we visit Weymouth this place is a must, they have some unusual but really tasty combinations (just ask and you can taste before you buy). All made freshly and with care which comes out in the taste of the end product.

A must for any ice cream lover. Always a good variety of flavours and you can try before you buy. We are regulars throughout the year and have never been disappointed with the flavours and quality.

Best ice cream in the town. If you are looking for outhentick Italian gelato this is the place. I absolutely love sauer cherry

We visited during a busy week in the summer when there was queue but the staff were not overwhelmed. The gelato was good, authentic flavours and consistency and a few wacky flavours that Italians would turn their nose up at!

Absolutely fantastic, after finding out they had Gluten Free Vegan cones and that they were open over the Christmas Break (27th December) our kids eyes lit up with joy, finding out the ice-cream was handmade was also a nice surprise with Gluten Free Vegan Options like mince pie or lemon. The lady who was serving was brilliant she also had time to talk to us and our kids.

Always good service from here and we always get a different flavour Been going there now nearly every month

Went here with family today and it was amazing. The lady on the counter was so welcoming and helpful. I had the sea salt caramel which was the best I've ever had. Would def recommend that if you are visiting Weymouth you must visit here..

This is just an ice cream shop, although I think they serve drinks as well and you can sit inside. Visited this a couple of times whilst on holiday. Unusual flavours with a change of flavours each day. No more expensive than the local ice cream and the flavours and texture were great.

Have visited a couple times as a treat and I just love it! It is expensive ice cream but it’s totally understandable, as the huge array of flavours including classics to the uncommon and downright deliciously bizarre are handmade by a gentleman who works there! Flavours change on a daily basis too which is brilliant! Love the idea that they will allow you to ‘try before you buy’ and always give generous portions. Would always recommend a visit as I’ve always love all the ice creams I’ve tried!

Out of this world. Without a doubt the very best gelato ever. Interesting flavours and hand made. Exceptionally clean and bright. Staff amazing. Could visit daily but hold off to one or two visits a week!

We visited Boho Gelato and my daughter who is coeliac had a lovely strawberry and rhubarb ice cream in a gluten free cone! Staff were very friendly and we would definitely return.

After an evening meal we’d decided to skip dessert and get the kids (3 & 9) an ice cream on the walk ‘home’. Hubby happened to spot this place as we zigzagged through the streets by the harbour. Having been once we will be back and the only bad thing to say is that I’m not sure we will want to try anywhere else! I had the lemon creme, eldest had the sour cherry and youngest a junior serving of the chocolate. Staff were friendly and happy. Would absolutely recommend.

Lots of choice, don't be disappointed if your favourite isn't available, the choice means that you will probably finish up with something you actually like more. friendly staff and good size portions

I’ve visited boho gelato on multiple occasions because of their outstanding flavours and polite staff. They are very welcoming to all and make you feel comfortable to be there. Fabulous ice cream, would totally recommend 9/10

I don't think I've ever had ice-cream quite as good as here—with the possible exception of Sicily. If you're in Dorset and are planning to come to Weymouth, come and have an ice-cream here.

Ice cream was pasted and smoothed over into a pot - it could be presented in a more appetising way. No toppings were available and the colour was weird. That all said - tasted great. Service was very good - Sorbet was delicious.

Went with my vegan partner, plenty of choice for her and the lady serving us was really friendly and really helpful too. Also, probably the best ice cream we've both had in years.

Nothing beats eating an ice-cream from Boho Gelato sitting on the wall down by the harbour on a sunny day. Dark chocolate strawberry, carrot cake, salted caramel were all yummy. Lovely lady who runs this place and gives folk a taster. She totally understands what an important decision this is! Unmissable.

We skipped dessert in the restaurant we had lunch to try the gelato at Boho, and we were very glad we did. They have a good selection of flavours on offer and it's reasonably priced, but it's the taste that makes it so good. Definitely the place to go for dessert in Weymouth!

Been to Boho gelato several times now and never disappointed with the excellent variety of flavours. Try before you buy, selection of different cones or tub and friendly staff. Worth a visit.

The BEST desert in town. We have not had a better gelato or sorbet. Visited twice for desert. The owner was really pleasant and knowledgeable about his product. There are tables and benches to eat in, or the harbour is just outside to enjoy the sun. It is spotlessly clean and well presented. There is a board on the wall with customer comments, all positive. Please visit, you will not be disappointed.

We found this place looking for proper ice cream and it did not disappoint. The carrot cake flavor is AMAZING! My husband who loves chocolate ice cream the most also loved his, it was really chocolatey. Definitely a must if you want decent ice cream, and not too far from the seafront either.

Be a kind of ice cream addict, they have ice cream for everyone.

Really worth a visit, we buy take out to enjoy over Christmas and Andy special occasions. Three chocolate is really good. But try it all you can’t go wrong.
