The best restaurants in Melcombe Regis Weymouth and Portland South West

This is a typical drinking den. As a woman, I would feel quite safe and comfortable to come in on my own. The pub is full of characters and the regulars tend to sit or stand in the same place. They also , from observation like a bit of banter. As for the beer it is first class. 4 real ales, Jail ale, Butcombe, Proper Job, Sea Fury. Absolutely spoilt for choice. Friday afternoon and evening is buzzing, standing room only. It is dog friendly. No food served here but snacks such as crisps, peanuts and pork scratchings small donations for the free doggie biscuits. Bar staff are very friendly and quick to serve their customers. They acknowledge you as you come in. There are two bar areas and a pool table area. The bar areas are not overly big. There is one toilet for the ladies, tight squeeze if you are a wheelchair user. In all, this is a cracking local pub full of locals. This is well worth a visit. I haven’t seen young children in here. Enjoy

Bean burger meant to have mango salsa and cos lettuce. Came out with no mango, hard bread, no cos lettuce and wet n soggy spinach. Piri chicken burger, old hard bread, also just hard to eat. Spaghetti came out cold. The calamari was uncooked and soggy. So all in all the food was dissapointing. For all this we were offered a 10% discount. Will not be going back.

Nice fish, relatively low grease. Chips not the best. Sit in prices are too high, even for city center prices - not worth it.

Great selection of vegan friendly burgers on the menu. Initially thought the price was a little high yet the burger varieties were very tasty and with a pot of coleslaw and generous bowl of spicy chips it was an enjoyable meal.

Well we were booked for a surprise 60th Birthday meal on 22nd December 2023. Spoke directly with the restaurant to book & he phoned back to clarify . Just under before someone said they were shutting for Christmas & New Year - their last night was Monday 18th. I rang them constantly that evening with no answer, & I’ve rang them since. I have emailed them with out reply. I have never in my life had such poor customer service

16 of us visited for a family birthday and we all had such a lovely evening! The owner Eric was so accommodating to ensure all went smoothly. The food was fabulous! Delicious! Kelly our waitress looked after us all so well. I would highly recommend !

Such a great spot for food. The service is impeccable as is the food. Any time my partner and I find ourselves in Weymouth we come here. Very much looking forward to the newer addition coming to Lyme Regis!

Enjoyed our time at The Greedy Seagull from the moment we walked in. Has a wonderful atmosphere. We had three courses, each one left us more that satisfied. Would definitely recommend and would go again should we return to Weymouth. Would suggest booking during holiday periods, I can imagine it gets very busy.

This place is great to shop and have a lovely coffee.The staff were lovely.I came away with a few items.will definitely go back when I’m back in Weymouth.So glad I stumbled on this shop.

Went here for a Ham and cheese toastie today was sooo good!! Was really good amount of cheese 🧀 and the ham wasn’t fatty! Will definitely go back and definitely recommend

We had a lovely meal in Enzo's this evening - really good food, a lovely bottle of verdicchio and such a welcoming atmosphere. I've been going here for years when I'm in Weymouth and it never disappoints. Many thanks to the team.

The toilets were clean the wine was good ,calamari OK service and ability to provide a good service was not good, Bella pasta at least offered parmesan ,and black pepper with some flair, and acknowledgment that they knew what they were doing, no recompense re a very dry carbonate x What more can I say ??????
