Amazing fish and chips and great price.

Honestly, after all the speculation that Marlboro was supposedly the best fish n’ chip shop/restaurant in the area, I was a little disappointed ☹️ Fish was nice enough, as well as chips and sides, but I’ve had better in other places on the coast and paid less to boot

Outstanding portion of fish and chips in the heart of the town. Staffs are super friendly. Tables are limited but take out is an option. They also have various kids options. They serve a lot more then fish and chips.

Best fish I've had, hands down! And those chips 😍. Myself and my fiance were in Weymouth for the day while down visiting family in Bournemouth, from Scotland! Will be popping in again the next time we visit!

I used to live just outside of Weymouth and marlboro will forever be my go to for proper fish and chips ! Amazing food !

Hands down the best chippy I have ever been to anywhere. Have loved this place since holidaying in Weymouth in the 80's and it has hardly changed in all those years.

We called in to try out their cod and chips, not realising they had a restaurant attached after paying for our order. I asked if we could possibly change and have it in the restaurant. The young man serving told us no problem at all and we'd just hv to pay the difference in price which really wasn't much. We sat down and then realised our car parking was about to run our and was unable to be extended so my partner had to leave to sort the car. Our food arrived and after explaining the situation, the staff took his food back to keep it warm. Once he came back, if was brought to him immediately. The young staff were very busy but were very attentive to all, exceptionally polite, helpful and all with smiles on their faces. The cod was the best we have eaten in years, superbly fresh with an amazing light, non greasy almost tempura batter and yummy chips too. Well done all, first class food and service, we will definitely be back soon.

OMGOODNESS Fresh, freshly cooked battered fish with CLASSIC Marlboro chips and SO quick with delivery. Probably ONLY 20mins from order to delivery. It was as if I'd just ordered in the Marlboro Restaurant. SO SO FRESH and DELICIOUS. I requested a delivery this time. However, I have ordered over the counter for MANY years... The MARLBORO has NEVER let me down - not only with QUALITY but with 'satisfying' QUANTITY too.

Team were incredibly welcoming and accommodating especially as we had a baby in a pram and two other kids. The food was excellent just what we were looking for a trip to the beach. Chip portions were ample and the fish was excellent. Thank you

Not the first time I've had fish & chips from here but I don't think I've reviewed it yet. Fantastic fish & chips whether you eat in or take away. Easily the best in Weymouth and I'd say that they are probably the best I've ever had. The batter on the fish is golden and crispy but not too oily or greasy. The fish tastes incredibly fresh and flaky with plenty of cod inside the batter. Their signature crinkle-cut chips are perfect too. Golden and crispy in all the right places with a feint crunch, but soft and fluffy inside. Best fish & chips I've had in my life. 5*

If you want a proper dinner this is the place to go.

A wonderful place. Certainly worth a visit if you are near but or passing.

Recommend by a local man and we not disappointed,the were friendly and professional, the fish and chips were cooked freshly and tasted brilliant, cooked just right with not to oil. Excellent food.

Best fish and chips in weymouth!

What a shame, my best ever chippy in the world has been rubbish the last 2 times, so sad about this as it's my favourite! Mushy peas hard and pithy when they used to be the best in the world. Hope they fix it soon!

Absolutely superb mushy peas! Fish good. Would prefer a much lighter batter, especially on the mushrooms. Will return.

Absolutely the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. We both had regular cod and chips which was a huge portion for a good price, with a side of curry sauce which came in a small gravy boat. The cod batter was fresh and light as well as crispy. The chips were thick and cooked fresh. My son (17months) had the children’s curry and rice which was really nice and had mushrooms and peppers in. There is plenty of seating but it is a little tight with a pram. Would visit again if I was in Weymouth.

There are other chip shops in Weymouth but this is our favourite for an eat in. Fish is always fresh, chips nicely cooked. The staff are pleasant and good at bringing the food out. Edit: 23/11/24. I've lost count of how many times we've eaten here now, almost every visit Weymouth. It is just a great chippy restaurant.

My son and I enjoyed a nice plate of haddock and chips each. Really tasty and plenty on the plate too. The service was quick and polite. Would highly recommend to families.

Up your game boys! There are better fish and chips elsewhere. Sorry but expensive for a take away. Fish batter soggy against fish and chips almost completely soft. 3rd time we've been disappointed, now voting with our feet.

I've eaten a lot of fish and chips in Weymouth, this is hands down the best - perfect crispy batter and chips, very nice mushy peas. Don't forget to download the 10% discount voucher from their website. The dinning room is basic and dogs aren't allowed.

Our first visit to this Chippy as had seen such great reviews. We had a late lunch so it was quiet. Quick, friendly service. Portion size good. The fish in batter was lovely and enjoyed. Crinkle cut chips were unusual. I have marked it down due to the curry sauce which for me are an essential part of fish and chips. A very strange sweet flavour compared to what I'm used to and consistency too thick.

Excellent food very courteous staff

Food was fantastic, service just as good. We had regular cod and chips with pea fritters. The batter on the cod was nice and crispy, the actually cod was thick and flaky. The pea fitters were breadcrumb coated, most places to batter. I actually prefer them breadcrumb coated. Staff were super friendly, couldn’t do enough for you.

Wow ,Lovely staff tight for space in the cafe but very well run ,good menu great portion size .Had the fresh Haddock, chips and Breaded pea fritta, Fish nice size white in thin batter,chips no rubbish bits again non greasy and pea fritta had the appearance of a scotch egg and super tasty 😋 well done definitely recommend 3 meals just over £40

Lovely 😍 food but you can't hear when talking to each other. people talking loudly I couldn't hear half the time. Shame I can't come back again had ear ache.

Disappointed, Weymouth resident, large extended family often visit and we always have our fish and chips; either in the restaurant or take away. Tonight? 2 cod and one VERY cold portion of tasteless chips. Too inconvenient to take them back from Southill, so may give local shop another chance. Price is not a problem if the product comes up to expected standard, didn't do it tonight.

Every time I go to Weymouth I go to this same fish and chip shop. We are talking 20 years plus. Not one bad experience. Always freshly cooked fish and the chips are the best out there. Always nice to eat literally around the corner where you can grab a pint on the harbour side to go with your food. Highly recommend.

I have been going to this fish shop since it opened by with my nan then dad then with my grandchildren and great grandchildren we had food there today wondered why it was empty the fish we got and chips where a child’s portion when we got them earlier in the year ended up binning n them not nice at all can’t believe no complaints in 50 years sitting inside and take away everyone said had it been taken over not sure but rubbish

Bought 2 large fish and chips. Couldn't be more disappointed. Apparently, having asked in the shop, photo shows a large fish! Doesn't even look like a piece of fish - better off at Bennetts...

Quick service, amazing food, friendly staff and the house ale is great. I loved this place.

Its a nice local chippy that has the best chips in Weymouth. Its always clean and tidy. You can sit down inside and, you dont have to make a reservation when going in. The staff are pleasant and, its table service too. It does get busy because its so good in there.

Queue too long for restaurant so had a takeaway . Probably the best fish and chips I've had in years and the curry sauce definitely the best I've ever had . Highly recommended 👌

Fantastic fish and chips, crisp light batter, great crinkle cut chips (which was a nice surprise), had cod and chips.. no grease on anything. Really tasty mushy peas. Fast friendly service when we sat in.

Greatest fish I have ever tasted. The cod Platter is incredible. Don't miss an opportunity to at least give it a try. Will come back when I am in the area again.

I took my grandson in today on a surprisingly busy Monday lunchtime. The tables were cleaned and cleared quickly. Our order was taken with a smile and the food was hot and very tasty.While not the cheapest we ate every bite so thank you Marlboro. We'll be back

I usualy go to bennets on the other side of the bridge when i come to weymouth. But i visited this chip shop as it was recommended. The chips were under done the batter was soggy and next to no salt and vinegar. The order was incomplete and wrong order. Next time I'm going back to bennets.

Stopped by for dinner, which was pie n chips. Unfortunately it was over cooked, rock hard pie and undercooked chips. On the plus side Staff was friendly, and chips were crinkle cut

Today I had lunch in here, not bad. Staff are nice and friendly, service was good. Haddock not very tasty, chips not bad. Coffee not great. Not on my places to revisit.

Popped in today for lunch. Had 2 kids meals 1 cod chips and mushy peas, The chips were soggy as they have been left in the heat pan for to long. Sausages were greasy. Cod small for the money. And tasted more like pollock. Food given to us like we were holiday makers and we just live up the road. Very disappointed 2 stars are given for the mushy peas they were ace.

Thank you team ! 22/06/24 I live near Bath, my chum lives in Yeovil As a treat we drive to Weymouth to visit the Marlboro - never disappointed - there is something about a fresh chip that can't be beaten, top bit of succulent, firm white cod. There are plenty of half decent fish n chips places but this is outstanding and worth the trip ( by the way, the seafront is reminiscent of Nice and equally nice)

Fish was nice,chips were a little hard, mushy peas top notch, staff were great,forgot my sons order, but were very apologetic, and didn't charge for his meal, few little tweaks on food this will be a 5star venue I feel

Nestled by the busy harbour area of Weymouth this busy fish and chip shop offers a wide range of fresh goods to purchase. There’s a large indoor seating area available too which seems to get busy quickly. I opted for sausage and chips and cod, of which it was served quickly. The chips however seems a little soggy for my liking but were fine to eat. No issues with the sausage but the cod was nice and fresh and batter crispy.

I’ve been going to this place for the past 45+ years and it never fails to deliver the best fish n chips. Service is outstanding, also very clean. I would highly recommend this place.

Came in here, whilst staying with friends in the area. Absolutely first class cod and chips 😋 premises are spotlessly clean, including the toilets. Cannot recommend highly enough! Thanks for a superb lunch. 🤓
