Fresh Bites in Weymouth and Portland

My first visit here and definitely won't be my last! Ordered from the special board I chose the New Yorker on white, I received fresh ingredients on a large white baguette filled to the brim with chicken, bacon, sweetcorn, mushrooms, bbq sauce, mayonnaise, seasoned with salt and pepper and topped with melted cheese complete perfection. This was bloody lovely well worth £6

Members of the family are semi regular customers to Fresh Bites. Would normally rate at 5* as they have very good service with great food. Today was not a 5* day as the brown baguettes we had (x2) we’re not fresh being very dry and crumbled as we eat them. Will review again after my next visit when I hope they have fresh baguettes.

I recently went in here and got myself the Newyorker, and it was delicious with really fresh ingredients And the service was absolutely amazing!!! I definitely recommend this!! 10/10

My husband and I used to live in Portland and found this place about 6/7 years ago. We have now moved to the midlands but have to come here every time we visit Weymouth/Portland - we have even driven miles out of our way to come here! The food is excellent - I love the veggie options, the whole family was happy with their lunch & staff are lovely too.

Amazing fresh crab sandwiches and coffee! Reasonably priced, usually have crab available, beats other local more trendy bar/restaurants/cafes hands down! Grab a sandwich and coffee then walk to Rodwell Trail or drive to the Causeway or Portland Bill to enjoy. Perfect!

I started a new job near here and have had 3 sandwiches so far from fresh bites. They are awesome. Really big portion, good ingredients, not too expensive. I’ve had the chicken and chorizo melt twice, it’s one hell of a sandwich. Recommended.

The most amazing sandwiches we have all ever had! Thank you for your amazing service. My kids said they’ve never had a better sandwich! One of the best moments of our holiday this week x

Excellent place to drop in for some fresh food. Food is very tasty and cooked to order Staff are very friendly and competitive prices.

Been a couple of times and the girls are fantastic great service great , fantastic speed they have to work at and still knock up lovely tasting food had to wait a bit longer once and was offered my money back because the egg was over cooked but Paid full price anyway it’s worth it.

Stopped by,to buy this yummy, gorgeous Portland Crab Baguette at Lunchtime. Huge fresh Bagette with a generous Crab Meal filling with fresh Salad, it were so tasty to eat , very filling though.... The Menu is Extensive with favourable prices & freshly made to order while you wait. Very busy at Lunchtimes, but very polite & welcoming. Well known for the regular locals, it’s a favourite.

Great food...large selection of different sandwich fillings.... extremely clean and tidy loved our breakfast rolls and a natter. Thank you very much

Place has great collection of fillings that you can make into sandwich, wrap, baguette or panini. Multiple veg and non-veg options to satisfy every taste bud.

A local made fresh Crab sandwich each and a fruit drink to eat for lunch. A bit expensive but so so tasty in brown bread and included salad and lemon and pepper for me. We did enjoy those sandwiches and the fruit drinks were good as well so we thought worth a review for this very friendly welcoming place called Fresh Bites. John & Sue Eastbourne UK

Phoned ahead to order sandwiches and salad boxes. Loads of lovely choices. The brown baguettes were lovely and fresh. Loads of salad. I had a crab baguette and a crab salad box the next day. Very good value and loads of filling. Salad boxes had coleslaw and cutlery provided. My son loved the tuna baguette.

Wow what a find we wil certainly be back again. Friendly service from the ladies working today. The food was excellent fresh and filling and so tasty. Just gutted we only found you only the last day of our holidays. I had the beef special and it was amazing very filling and yum.

It was my birthday so I thought I would celebrate with a baguette from Fresh Bites for my friend and myself. I was going to be working at our local charity shop at Wyke and thought that a baguette would make a lovely change. I ordered before I left home and collected at twelve when they were on the counter waiting for us. They were both delicious and the service I received was second to none. This sandwich bar is without doubt the tastiest outlet we have used.Wonderful friendly staff and the most delicious food we have come across. All freshly made to order and so competively priced.Almost a meal in itself.We chose from the specials board and enjoyed a freshly carved beef roll with onion, jalapenos,peppers etc all flash fried then added sweet chilli sauce and stilton all put under thr grill. WOW. Please try this establishment I can assure you that you will not be disappointed.

I went in to Fresh Bites this morning. The ladies in there were very friendly and didn’t mind one bit that I took my time to choose. Eventually I chose a Bacon, egg and mushroom baguette. Everything was cooked from fresh and smelt amazing. As I was waiting we had friendly chat. I took the baguette home and OMG it was amazing!! Well worth the wait for it to be cooked from fresh! Well done Fresh Bites!

Food is yummy but prepare for a wait as it's done from fresh. Could do with a little more choice but no complaints :)

Fantastic selection in this sandwich bar, from salad boxes to a cooked meal in a baguette. Staff really friendly, and very accommodating. There is an extensive menu however, you're very welcome to make up your own idea of a perfect sandwich too!

Having had a dreadful experience at the Crab House Cafe we went to Fresh Bites for lunch. It was a complete change in more ways than one. The staff could not have been more helpful and polite and the food was very good.

No issues with the food, good, fast and hot, I did think a little expensive, £1:50 for a small tartar sauce, nice fish, pie a little under cooked for me, but ok.

Nosotros hemos tratado de almuerzo de picaduras en un par de visitas a la zona y que nunca nos ha decepcionado.

Hemos estado dos veces este mes cuando en Weymouth. Esto es en la carretera principal a Portland. Teníamos sándwiches frescos de cangrejo recién hecho para nosotros con generosas abundante en pan de calidad. Los cafés con leche también estaban bien. Estamos planeando ir allí el mes que viene a probar algunos de sus otras picaduras. También tienen baguettes de desayuno y baps, hamburguesas, ensaladas, patatas de la chaqueta. La variedad de rellenos y combinaciones hacen la boca agua a elegir. Lo recomendaría.

La comida fue excelente y el personal es agradable, recomendaría encarecidamente la carne especial, pero sólo por el hambre. Dispone de aparcamiento en la parte delantera con un par de mesas

Este lugar es siempre popular con gente esperando para pedidos de alrededor de las 11 am Todo recién hechas a la orden, y todo parece bien, aunque yo sólo he ir por los sándwiches de cangrejo que son excelentes!

El personal es encantador y una sabrosa baguette. Muy generosas porciones y una enorme variedad de rellenos. Teníamos el atún y pollo fresco tanto estaban recién preparados. Sólo preocupación es señora que sirve la comida no era guantes!

After a trip to Portland,we were looking for a bite to eat and came across this busy little sand which bar. The choices were amazing and the prices very competitive. My husband had a Cajun chicken special and I had bacon brie and cranberry. Everything was cooked fresh and you could see the staff in action so you new exactly how your food was being prepared. We sat outside and enjoyed our sarnies and neither of us managed to finish (not for want of trying) I was fit to burst!! My husband said if we lived locally we would be in there constantly, he isn't wrong. Visiting Portland? Don't go in the poncy cafe by the bridge its over priced and bland. Try the sand which bar the staff are friendly and if you can't find something you fancy I would be amazed.
