First time here since they moved location and was left disappointed even with the exceptional veiw. We have been to sambos on multiple occasions when visiting weymouth and this was a let down. The meat seemed very greasy with lots of excess fat and seemed to lack flavour.There didn't seem as much choice as there normally was with the same types of meat coming round and round again.The service was on point as per usual and we couldnt fault the drinks the veiw or the staff.However for the price you pay this should be spot on and a meal to remember, which is why we have gone back so many times before but this time it was miles off the mark. Visited this concept restaurant on the 31st of August this year with my family, the six of us sat down and the service was explained in a high speed manner, we were all completely confused, I said to the waitress I’m afraid I do not understand what you’re talking about or how this system works with the red and green lights; we all looked at each other in a bewildered fashion, got up and walked out.

Incredible! Visited for my partners birthday today, and so glad we came! We'd visited the Sambo in Poole 2 years ago, and it was our first time visiting the weymouth one, definitely one we'd return to in a heartbeat! Service was incredible, the staff were amazing and so friendly, drinks and food both came super quickly and recommendations for drinks were on point too. Restaurant itself was spotless, kept brilliantly clean immediately after tables had ended, nice layout too and great atmosphere. Food speaks for itself here, it's unbeatable for a Brazilian rodizio chain and somewhere that sits comfortably at top of my restaurant recommendations! Would love for there to be more across the country but makes it worth it to come down south to eat here. Thanks for a brilliant night and to the staff working too for a great evening 💫

Best restaurant I've ever been to, the staff are amazing and the meat is spectacular, the chef has put hard work into all the meals and I think he/she deserves a promotion on how well he/she does and the atmosphere makes me feel like I have alot of money. 10/10 best place ever!

The salad bar was well stocked, and the food was good, but it was very overpriced, churruscaria dining. The service from the staff was very pleasant, so I would have left a tip anyway, but I do not like having a service charge added automatically.

A real pleasure to eat here. The food was fantastic. The service too, was spot on. A really nice bottle of wine to top it all off. We'll be returning soon I'm sure.

Not every place I dine in with my family, we got this friendly treatment from our server. I hope this is not a day for us or any other customer. Hopefully this experience is consistent throughout the year. Lucky I've got one. I can say we will be back for more.

Salad bar was good. I had salmon it was very overcooked and I couldn’t even swallow it without drinking water. It came with stewed vegetables (they were not supposed to be stewed but that’s what they looked and tasted like)and asparagus on top which was like a twig and I couldn’t even cut or bite it. I didn’t eat it and when the waitress eventually came over she said was there a problem I explained and she took the food away. My partner had the meat and found it to be extremely fatty and grisly. He got offered all the same meats and even though there were different meats and sausages they never made it to our table at all. When explained this to the waitress she didn’t have an answer. Overall it was a terrible meal and when the bill came they had charged me full payment for my salmon and added a 20% service charge. Total bill £110. We got the service charge taken off and they said they served me my meal so I should pay for it!! I took off half the cost and paid £15 for it as I feel the salad was worth that. It was a very disappointing experience and very expensive for poor quality food and service. I will never go back. Its run by totally inexperienced youngsters with no knowledge of how to treat people or cook food correctly! In reply to your response: The only reason why I paid only half the cost of my meal is because generally a good restaurant would normally not charge for a meal that was not edible! I don’t see what you have to investigate, it should have been investigated at the time when the waitress asked how was your dinner and I replied it was not edible. She replied oh shall I take it away then!! The cost of your food doesn’t reflect the quality which was well below standard! My partner is a big meat eater and tonight his side plate was piled high with overcooked, tough, grisly, fatty meat he couldn’t eat. Why do your staff ask how would you like your meat cooked? When you just have to take it as it comes??

Being a well travelled individual me and my thai girlfriend visited this restaurant not knowing what to expect, the concept is exciting and the staff are so very welcoming, the all you can eat buffet is really great but save room for the delicious meats, will be back guys, Craig and nang nang

I dined at Sambo last night (22nd June) with my grown up children, for my Fathers Day present. The food was amazing, the drinks were flowing and the service (Mila) was excellent. Would definitely recommend.

Unique experience at this Brazilian style Restaurant. Service and food was excellent. A little pricey and service charge is added so no tips left but you get what you pay for. You should try this at least once and decide if it is good value. I think it is worth it and will return for another lovely meal

Had an amazing time here sampling all the grilled meats! The honey pork is to die for! Also the service was amazing and our waitresses were very kind and accommodating!

I was here alone last week. I didn't have a reservation at the time I arrived (I had one for 75 mins later) but because I was alone they tried to do their best to give me a table. I appreciate it. The food was alright. I don't usually like pork but the honey pork meat was amazing. But because I am a person who eats a lot more than an average person, after some time I felt like they were skipping me while bringing in meat. That could also be because the restaurant had become full as well but I felt a bit excluded there. I was almost full anyway so it wasn't much of an issue. I asked for a last piece of picanha before i left and they brought it. I have no idea about the price range in Weymouth as I was just visiting but it was quite expensive. Well, in general it was a good experience for me and I enjoyed it.

This was our first experience of Sambo. It was like no other dining experience that we have had before. The service was fantastic throughout. The way you dine is completely different to usual restaurants. You start by going up to the buffet station and loading your plate with suitable accompaniments for your meat. At that point you have a double sided card which you place green side up on the table. This signifies that you are ready to accept some meat. This is brought around by the waitresses on hanging skewers, and carved off as you grab it with mini tongs. Several different meats are brought around all of the tables and you can turn your card to the red side to take a pause, at any time returning to green to continue. It is a great way to dine and leaves time to enjoy your food without rushing. Mila and our other waitress, whose name I didn't get, was attentive and friendly without being intrusive. Would highly recommend and will definitely return.

A wonderful experience. The food was delicious and the staff were wonderful. A special mention to Mila, who looked after us so well. Our lunch was so good, we returned for dinner the next day. Exceptional!

Wow what an amazing restaurant, the staff were fantastic and so polite, loved the red/green system, so if you want meat turns your card green if you need a break turn it red. There are 6 cuts of meat and you can have as much as you like. Plus a buffet style salad, rice, and other bit. Totally amazing and different. Well done staff..

We’ve been looking forward to visit but the experience was a bit underwhelming. Most of the meat was hard to chew cheap meat, and waiters took long to bring the next round so we ended up stuffing ourselves with salad bar food mostly. No kids menu. People at the next table were brought desserts but it was not offered to us and wasn’t on the menu. Spent about £150 for two adults and one child, absolutely not worth it.

Never been to a restaurant like this brilliant food would come here every night choures lovely for fist time have them 👍

I thought the food was okay, not worth the money, don’t like how they put the service charge on, I would of give them a tip but didn’t as the service charge was put on already. And that annoyed all five of us. Would not go again even through I love meat and live in Weymouth

We travelled from Co.Durham to visit family a d it was an experience like no other, food was incredible, service was impeccable and like no other restaurant I've ever been to.

Ok, but expensive for what it is. The better cuts of meat didn't appear more than once and £6.50 for a pint is too much. Staff very pushy with drinks, getting asked 'more drinks guys..?' - every 5 minutes gets irritating.

This concept for a restaurant is absolutely wonderful. Special mention for Hannah who explained everything perfectly and made us feel at ease. This all you can eat Brazil steak house has wonderful flavours and very memorable. To have it cut at your table how you like it, ie rare, well, don't eat before you come here. There is no such thing as too much meat! Definitely worth the cost, definitely coming back!

An amazing Brazilian style grill where the cooked meat is delivered to your table and sliced in front of you. Don’t go unless you’re hungry..! Highly recommended.

Came here on a Sunday night and it was unusually quiet, so it was like having a personal chef. Food standard was excellent as always, with attentive staff asking if we had preference for any particular dish. I'm greedy as hell, so prefer all of it. Drinks are pricey, and after the 25th course you frt kinda thirsty. Little kiddies eat free, which is great too.

Out and out one of the best eateries I've been too in a while. The buffet selection alone is worth the £40. Will be coming back.

This new venue they have is awful. The atmosphere was really weird and uncomfortable. I felt like I was nothing but polite yet somehow the manager still managed to be incredibly rude to me. The other staff members seemed timid and devoid of all chat. No one smiled, the food wasn't nearly worth the price and I left feeling on edge. We went to bacaro next door and had a great time, wish we went there sooner.

I think it is a bit expensive, a party of 4 with drinks cost us £230.00.

thought it was a real shame, i was embarresed! As I didnt finish my food i asked for a box for what was left on my plate, which the lady brough over. Yet when leaving a manager came over and asked us to hand over any food we had, which was a little bit of chicken which i gave back. I then asked what would happen to it she said its thrown in the bin!!! The food that I paid for wasnt worth the argument but i hope you enjoy the review!

Was very cold in the restaurant. Customers were sitting in coats eating. Food lovely, and waiting staff were great! Just let down by the temperature of the restaurant.

I went with my partner for our anniversary dinner. The waitress was lovely on arrival and explained the process and the allergens well to me (I have a gluten allergy), and also asked how we like our meat cooked. The meat came around very frequently, and it was cooked to perfection. I'm not usually a huge meat-eater compared to my partner, but oh my goodness. It was the most tender, flavoursome meat I have ever eaten in my life!! Cocktails were also beautifully presented. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and will definitely be returning!

Lovely food if you're a fan of meat. The accompanying salads are also lovely. My only complaint would be that it was very chilly due to the air con on what was already a chilly day. With hindsight I should have asked if it could have been turned off or the temperature increased.

Nice restaurant. Food was good and the staff were great. Salad bar is above average for most restaurants offering this option. The drinks in my opinion are overpriced and ‘by the glass’ wine options were very limited. I went with my wife for her birthday and despite me telling them this when we booked they did nothing for it. We will likely go again but only occasionally due to the price point.

We had an anniversary dinner here today and it was excellent! Hannah was charming, friendly, and attentive without being overbearing. The food was delicious, especially the meats which are the main event. My favourite was the lamb but they were all very good. There's an unlimited salad bar with condiments and traditional stews, rice and potatoes. Save plenty of space for meat though - that's unlimited too! I recommend planning out parking beforehand as this area is mostly residential.

Been in Weymouth for a weekend and tried to book a table but they said unfortunately we don't accept kids 2 and a half years old. SHAME

Visited tonight for our first time whilst on holiday in Weymouth . Really great food , service was excellent couldn’t fault the place . Price point seems high but after you visit you understand that you do get what you pay for . Thank you to the team there who all work so hard .

A great experience, the staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome. The food experience was great, all fresh meats, perfect way to have small portions of different meats, cuts and exactly as you want it cooked, all fresh and tasty. The buffet was also very good. Would definitely recommend.

I attended Sambo Rodizio for my birthday meal last night and was fairly disappointed. Considering the restaurant has a dress code and the price for the set meal is close to £50 a head, I was expecting a much better experience. Firstly, the staff seem very young and inexperienced. The waiter had to ask for my drink order a second time after going round the table, then the drinks arrived one by one, but 5-10 minutes later, mine hadn't arrived, so I had to ask for it again and the waiter asked for my order for a 3rd time. They also didn't have any IPAs available, or any Brazilian Beers. Lager was the only option. The buffet food was OK, but definitely not worth the price that was paid and there was no Fillet Mignon offered, which might have justified the high price. The meat was chewy and not particularly fantastic. We also heard another diner being sung happy birthday, but even though we mentioned on our booking that this was a birthday meal, no one sung happy birthday.

Fantastic food, attentive and polite staff made sure everything was cooked to our liking and we had everything we needed and great cocktails. Great for Gluten free, all meat GF and all sides marked.

We attended this restaurant as it appeared nice and something different. It took 15-20 minutes to get a drink ordered and even longer for anyone to explain the restaurant. I had to point this out to the waiter who wanted me to pay for drinks when I was still waiting for the food concept to be explained! He said he would add our food onto the ticket and come back for us to pay. Very expensive £42 roughly per person for salad and cuts of meat. We decided to leave after waiting a further 15minutes for anyone to acknowledge us instead mostly making drinks for a larger table. My partner complained and explained we will leave and just pay for the drinks. This is when someone finally showed up to give cutlery to us we turned this down and went elsewhere negative experience. Wouldn’t recommend.

Wow! The food is amazing (hot and cold salad bar, a large amount of different meats such as lamb, different steak cuts, chicken thighs etc - all cooked to your liking). And the concept of using a red/green token to turn when you would like to be served more meat is brilliant. We had Hannah looking after us for our meal and she was just the friendliest, most helpful and professional host. It seemed she really wanted to make sure we had the best experience for our anniversary meal, checking which, if any, particular meats we would like more of (my favourites were the lamb and chicken thighs, the flavour was amazing and the seasoning travelled through the meats instead of just sitting as a coating on the outside) and she ensured our drinks we kept full throughout the meal. There are options for people with dietary requirements such as vegetarian, and they are child friendly (we almost brought our child with us). Definitely recommend!

Food was amazing, the choice etc was good and the meats cooked well. However, their alarm kept going off, I lost count at 12 times and it put a humongous downer on the night. From a customer service perspective they should have done some sort of good will gesture to their customers who sat through it yet instead had the cheek to put a service charge on the bill. The manager is really rude as well. Food was lush but not returning!

This place is fantastic. The food is good quality and delicious, the variety of meat is brilliant and it just keeps coming. The staff were very attentive, Hannah especially and I will be going again. I went on a Thursday night when it wasn't overly busy so not sure what the weekend atmosphere would be like.

Booked a table after hearing positive feedback from friends. Upon arrival we soon realised that we weren't about to have an amazing experience. The meat was awful quality, bland, fatty, undercooked and unappealing. The salad bar was poor, a very random selection of food that just didn't make sense in a Brazilian steak house. The price certainly didn't reflect the experience. Even after complaining we had a service charge added on to our bill which we requested to be removed. Will not be returning.

As a customer who has visited this restaurant several times before. I was very disappointed with the service we received at Sambo this evening. Meat was chewy and not served to our liking. We complained and the owners were very defensive stating that the meat was the same they had been using for the last three years. The chef came out and was also very defensive.

We had a lovely meal here though it was quiet as we were the only ones there. Kids under 6 eat free which was excellent but you definitely pay for the adult fee. The meat was incredible, the buffet was delicious. I dropped one star as they had barely any draft beers or bottles of beer in.

The meats were incredibly good: tender, juicy, perfect crust. The picanha, garlic beef, chicken thighs, linguiça, honey pork are a must try, in that order. Everyone there is nice, professional, and helpful. Amazing experience.

Had an enjoyable evening, although the high end prices didn't reflect in the quality of the food or the restaurant itself. Good service but average quality food and sticky floors. £36 to £50 for a bottle of red is ridiculous! Won't be returning.

Well ok I always think when you have to que up for a salad or potatoes it just takes the restaurant experience away. Also the calving of meat by your ear is a bit unnerving. Nice food good service

This place is ALL about a great meat experience. The most exquisitely cooked meats just keep on coming to your table, just how you want them cooked. Each and every portion was perfectly cooked and at perfect temperature. We tasted all the meats...you really just need a sliver of each and then kept submitting to more 😋 if there is a particular meat you like, let them know and they will bring you more of the same, there is no holding back😁 I don't have the words to explain how tasty the honey pork was, or the garlic beef, the garlic chicken, the chill beef...all of the most perfect cuts from filet mignon to rump to gammon to the most delicious marbled steak...ALL of which melted in your mouth... Outstanding. I am not a salad bar person, it was self service and my sisters were thrilled with all of it, especially the smoked salmon, potato salad, beans and peppers and pasta salad. They also loved the creamy garlic mushrooms. I loved the basmati rice, which paired perfectly with the already amazing flavours of the meats and was a perfect partner to it, mopping up the flavours and jus from the plate. The venue was very family friendly with young families enjoying the evening. Service was fabulous and attentive and we never felt rushed. I would definitely recommend Sambo Rodizio to any carnivores out there. We enjoyed fabulous cocktails and were too full to try dessert, but if dinner and the cocktails were anything to go by, I would expect taste and presentation to be spot on 😋 World-Class flavours 👏 10/10

Lovely place to eat and food was great

Can't believe I haven't been before! Great selection of meats even during the day service. I went on Sat lunch time as we had the kids with us and was surprised how many peiple were in there. The salad buffet has a good selection but reasonably basic. This is perfect as it doesn't take away from the amazing meats that are offered. Cannot fault the meat also, cooked to perfection. Would definitely recommend the minted lamb and the sirloin joint. Highly recommended to all.

Amazing evening at Sambo's everything was fantastic. The cocktails menu was huge. The food delicious and plentiful and the staff friendly. We were in the alcove bit at the back so nice and out the way for our large party. Did have to ask for the music to be turned down 3 times as it kept on being turned back up and felt a little rushed at the end, but it was still fanastic. Will definitely return.

What a disappointment. Had we not paid a £20 deposit, we would have turned away upon arrival. In hindsight, we still should have gone somewhere else. The pictures on the website do not reflect the true 1970s feel of the place. The restaurant needs to be as modern as the website! We are struggling to understand who gives positive reviews. The only plus points were the staff, who were polite and provided good service and the bottle of wine was good (£30). The salad buffet was dreadful. A very poor selection of tired and virtually empty salad, hard boiled eggs (!) and some empty serving bowls situated within a cubicle decorated with trellis and plastic flowers. The meat servers provided a selection of meat which was not particularly well cooked or high quality. Much of it tasted very similar. We had taken our family out in Wimbledon the previous evening and the Piranha steak there was much better and half the price (£35 per head for the "buffet" here).

We came Friday evening for dinner. The meat and experience is amazing!! The service was fantastic, my husband said it was the first time in a long time that he really wanted to tip waiting staff.

Visited whilst having a few days away in Weymouth. I wasn't sure what to expect. I have an offset smoker and do a lot of grilling and BBQing at home. Ex dairy, imported grain fed brisket, iberico pork, St Louis ribs - you name it I've smoked or grilled it. This place is good. Forget the all you can eat angle. The quality of the cooking of the meat is top notch. Pichana, served pink and juicy with the fat cap soft, gelatinous and lightly charred was sublime. Fillet heavily peppered, soft and delicious. Chicken thigh - who gets excited by chicken thighs? But these were sensational, marinated in God knows what but with wonderful flavour and juiciness. And plenty more besides. I had a damn good go at eating my money's worth but really, quality here is more important than quantity. The meat, at a guess, had been dry brined so was well seasoned throughout. When it comes to beef, salt is your friend. Service was efficient and wine was glug friendly. Only minor gripe is that it would have been nice to have some chimichurri or other more trad South American accompaniments for the meats. If you're a carnivore it's a must visit.

Visited Sambo Rodizio yesterday! After looking at the reviews they seemed like a good choice! Then went on their website to find out price £28.95!! And thought we'd try it! After we had been seated (walking across the stickiest floor ever!!) The waitress mumbled it's £34.95! I personally wanted to leave there and then as I knew I couldn't possibly eat anywhere near that much food. My partner wanted to stay so we did. Food/cocktail was ok but certainly not worth the £83.40 bill!! When the waitress brought us the bill, I said to her on your website it says it's £28.95 you need to change it to £34.95 she just looked at me not knowing what to say. Will not be back and wouldn't recommend!

As ever, Sambo couldn't have been better. The service and the food (quantity & quality) were superb. It's not cheap but it's definitely worth what it costs. Brilliant!

Meat quality was very good. Slightly salty, but that’s not unusual at rodizio restaurants. Salad selection a little limited and hot dishes took a while to come out. Service very good and attentive. Prices were much higher than we expected from their website (£28.95 per adult rather than £18.95 and much more restrictive age categories for children). This makes it pretty poor value for a family, unless you’re only interested in eating a heck of a lot of meat.
