Wellington Arms Pub in Weymouth and Portland

Nothing not too like. Friendly nice busy pub. If it was bigger they would fill it. The lady who does the food certainly knows how to look after her customers. All bar staff are very friendly, a must if you're in weymouth. Be aware it does get very busy at times for food. But worth the wait for a seat.

A lucky find tucked away, very good value for money food and well kept ale.

Choice of meals and specials on the pub board. Food cooked well and nothing to complain about. Always have meals here when visiting Weymouth.

We had lunch at this pub yesterday and the whole experience was perfect. The food was piping hot and delicious. We had chicken and mushroom pie, fish and chips, and leek cheese and potato pie.It was a lovely way to spend the afternoon.

Went in with my boyfriend fin that works in there.. Best service and food was delicious 😋thank you. 5 Stars recommend. Been again thank you for the lovely service and welcome hope to see you all soon❤️

Me and my family came in for a meal, and the service from the staff was brilliant ,they chatted to us and they were funny! We all had curry's and they were so tasty! We will definitely be returning. : )

Came down to weymouth on holiday and found this brilliant pub, food is amazing,especially the roast dinners! can’t fault the staff at all they are so kind and attentive. Can’t wait to come back down in May to visit this lovely pub again

Went to the Wellington Arms on Sunday with my family for a roast dinner. The food was lovley and at a very reasonable price. We will be visiting again for another roast and will go for a mid week meal. The drinks are price reasonable to. We only had one each tho as we were driving.

Great roast dinner at the wellington arms yesterday! Lovely fresh veg, big portion, and great value for money. I enjoyed a pint of thatchers haze with my meal too. The atmosphere is very welcoming and friendly. I will definitely come here again, and recommend to others! Thankyou!

Had the best ever fish and chips yesterday, £11 for a very large piece of fish in beer batter, the batter was to die for, very impressed with the quality and the price

For regular food, you must go to the bar to order anything and pay.

Fantastic food at very reasonable prices. We stayed in weymouth for 3 nights and had our food in here each night. From roast, to steak and fish finger sandwiches..all were perfectly cooked and hot. The staff were friendly and helpful as well.

Great disappointment. 3rd February, 2024. I used to come here forty years ago when I was sixteen so thought I’d visit again. I took my 78 year old mother there for a quick drink. She has a Brussels Griffin dog who is tiny. My mum sat down at a table. I wasn’t impressed by the barmaid who seemed more interested in larking about with an older guy called Alan. I ordered two drinks. She then turned and looked at my mum and asked if she had a dog. I was very tempted to be sarcastic at that point and reply no, a dinosaur. I was then told that the pub didn’t accept dogs so I replied I couldn’t have the drinks then. We left. It was ridiculous. I couldn’t see a sign on the door saying no dogs. Weymouth is a very dog friendly place and so I don’t see what the problem was. We went to the White Hart instead, again a place I’ve been going to for forty years. They had dog treats and everything out for customers. The Wellington lost out on about eight pounds all for a ridiculous policy and a barmaid who, if she had been paying attention from the start, could have said no more politely.

Staff are always friendly, welcoming & efficient. The food is always fabulous.

Great little pub, went in for a Guinness as usual which was wonderful. Staff were friendly, Clientele were of the older generation. Nice and peaceful place with soothing music being played. Food was available which smelt amazing. Couple of tv screens showing different things. Snooker was on one of them. Great place thoroughly enjoyed my visit.

Food and service was really good,we tried a few places to eat in Weymouth which were disappointing.We had hunters chicken.

Friendliest place ever. Late Sunday Roasts - really accommodating.

The staff is exceptional. impeccable service. The typical English pub atmosphere is superb. The pub is located in the center of Weymouth. After a round of shopping it is worth a stop at the place.

Incredible food, extremely reasonable price and amazing service.

Omg, food was beyond delicious. Piping hot, well cooked and well flavoured. The steak melts in the mouth, chips are crisp with fluffy interior and mushrooms so tasty I could have ate a plate full. Great prices and they also do meal deals. So good I'm going back tomorrow.

Lovely little pub. Didn't have food so can't comment but the staff were friendly and helpful. All customers were relaxed and although we were tourists made us welcome

Fantastic Sunday dinner. Good size, everything very well cooked, and very reasonably priced.

We have had a week's holiday and have come here for every meal.. the staff, service and food is outstanding. Will be telling anyone and everyone that come to weymouth to get here and have their food and drink.

The here is absolutely outstanding the all day brunch is the best thing you will ever put in your mouth it's all I could do to get though it not cheap sausages the quality is amazing at £6.25 it's outstanding value thus place is food heaven 😀

Traditional pub. Friendly service. Food was cooked really well. We had a steak baguette, chips, onion rings and halloumi fries with sweet chilli dip. We did this to share. We didn't need the side of chips, as the baguette came with chips. Chips were cooked to perfection. Decent selection of drinks and reasonable prices. They have male and female toilets and separate baby change. Toilets no good for wheel chair access.

Been here numerous times when holidaying in Weymouth and always had a warm welcome. Great food at very reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

Proper local pub in town with good range of drinks and the best roast in town. Extensive menu but my wife always heads here for a roast dinner (served all week).

Busy pub off the main drag. We managed to get there as a reunion of navy mates arrived. Convivial and friendly atmosphere and despite being surrounded by heavily service tattooed blokes we didn't hear a swear word. Staff were lovely as was the pint of Wainwright's on pump. Cracking pub of the old school.

Unfortunately the fish and chips were out and the neighbor didn't want to give out the last portion. Nevertheless, alternatives were offered. When it comes to beer, the selection isn't that big - but you can always find something. By the way: the toilet is super clean

Small pub, but lovely homemade- hot food served right in front of you. Only downside is that the door is wide open and when guests/staff would like a cigarette break you can the smoke, even from the back. Also food did take a while to come out, took 20 minutes for dessert to arrive.

Every time we come to Weymouth we always drop in to this friendly pub. Food is Lovely and good value.

Great little pub, nicely laid out and is located off the main shopping route. Service with a smile as always. The misses and I all go in the 'The Wellington' when ever we visited Weymouth. The misses loves their roast dinner. On our last visit, I had a brunch and beer and she had a roast dinner(told ya,lol) and vodka and coke

Popped in on a couple of occasions while staying in Weymouth. Good beer at a ridiculously cheap price, friendly staff, great little boozer, will return next time I'm in town.

Gave the pub a 4 star only on the lack of seating. Having said that, goes to show how busy it was. Beer was good Directors, don't like Bomberdeer. The food looked good and reasonably priced.

Popular town juicer on St Alban's Street. Well stocked bar and pleasant staff. Decent reasonably priced food.

While down here on a break. Always wanted a roast dinner picked it by random. Must say best I've ever had was cooked to perfection. And great price would definitely recommend 100% and will visit again for the rest of their food.
