Daniels Fish & Chips in Weymouth and Portland

I found Daniel's Chickerell the day I moved in to my new home in June 2021, looking for a quick takeaway chippy. What a find! Really excellent food. The portions and range of food is great, well cooked and the staff are efficient and friendly. Since then my family have always had our fish and chips from here. I've also used the Littlemoor shop and it's the same there. Daniels is my go-to chippy always.

First time using Daniels Fish and Chips and will use them in the future. The food was fresh cooked and not greasy, I ordered a large cod, regular cod and regular chips and there was plenty of food and the batter was crispy, really lovely food well worth visiting.

Local fish and chips, always busy, you can order online or in the shop. Be prepared for a little wait although they always have plenty staff on. Recommend the haddock.... huge... enough for two

Just wanna say we came from Portsmouth to stay at haven in Weymouth and we googled fish and chips and yours came up firstly great and easy to order online to collect secondly your shop in littlemore good parking and very upto date with the machines to order from 3rdly your staff was amazing the manager you had run the shop so well it was extremely busy and they all was working very hard and was polite I loved the on counter show for putting the salt and vinegar most chippys round my way hidden behind a tall counter and I must say it was the best fish and chips we have ever had thank you very much we are staying til Monday and we are already on planning on coming back to get another one 👌🏼

Been to been to daniels chip twice in one week as staying close by and both times the fish was OK but the chip were mush . Not cooked enough and just soaked up all the oil . The shop was busy the first time so a little understandable, the next time was around 5 pm and not busy so no excuses. Not sure if I will be back.

Best fish and chips myself and husband have ever tasted. Fish beautifully cooked to perfection. When we holiday in Weymouth this is our only go to for top quality fish and chips.

Great food. Great service. I’m a new regular where even the chap that serves me has reminded me what I had forgotten!!! Not so much of a problem now I pre-order on-line. Even here, I’ve had the order handed to me as the doors were opened at the start of the day! True service! The plaice is delicious.

Our family holiday in weymouth, includes a visit to Daniels not far from Bincombe Bumps and town is a small retail park, were we found this gem. 5 of us ate roughly £7 per head for the most beautiful Cod & Chips I've tasted in years. Every holiday we always try local fair this takeaway has been the best we tried in the area. Worth a taste & Worth the wait (around 10 minutes) 😊

Fish and chips done very well, the delivery driver was very friendly, I can see why you are so highly rated as I couldn’t fault a thing. The food arrived hot and crispy which can be very difficult to do thank you so much❤️

It is really rip off, they charge 5 pound for 100 gram chips. They shouldn’t be still running.

Yet again you forget some of my order 2 fillet burgers missing I’m reporting you to trading standard and and ministry of food and safety your going to learn from this this time with a bunch of eggs all over your front of shop one morning your have to clean 200 eggs off your windows

Waited 25mins for a large portion of chips. Was busy, so was patient while they did orders in queue. Could have prioritised mine as was just chips and big orders before me. To add insult to injury, I received a regular portion due to a shortage. Poor service all around.

I had cod and chips and s had plaice and chips food was good no complaints at all Customer service there were 4 on the counter three boys and one girl, she was fantastic and I’m glad she don’t my order the other three were clearly undertrained and struggling with wrapping and serving Would I go back …….yes I would

This order never materialised I ordered through Just Eat and specified to be delivered at 19:00 hours… I checked the order to the best of my ability but nowhere did it say the time I had requested or to doublecheck that it was being delivered not collected. Telephoning the shop the man was extremely rude, unhelpful and said it was totally my fault and although you order through Just Eat they don’t take care of the delivery Daniels fish and chip shop in Littlemore have their own private people to deliver. I recommend anybody that orders from them is very very, very careful. I have just lost more than £30, and I’m disgusted at the way I was spoken to

Missing drink from meal deal but food was amazing

We used to go all the time but sadly, although the service is always excellent, their chips are no longer crispy as they were and are now too greasy to really enjoy. When Daniels started, the chips were uniquely tasty and better than Marlbrough in Weymouth. Don't know what happened, so we only go rarely now. Fish is still good.

Just paid £11:00 for cod and chips and I am 99% certain it was not cod. Cost is also going up almost weekly.

Excellent fish and chips, struggled to tell mini cod and half chips from normal cod & chips as they were both same size. Testament to how good it was, was that my mum who is a picky eater ate all of her cod in batter when normally she'd take the batter off.

Fish and chips were great but a little bit too greasy. It's fish and chips so I suppose you have to expect that somewhat but they were extra dripping. Service was good. The wife and I enjoyed them, we put them on to some kitchen towel to soak the fat up. Enjoyed and will go again!

In all the times we have ordered food from yourselves never have we had any reason to complain. This time it was disgraceful. Chips cold ,scampi and burger mediocre. More scraps than chips. Absolutely dreadful

Always get treated with respect, they cook fresh and serve according to order placement. Always fresh and hot.

Love the chips from here. Nice and fluffy. Sometimes even the small chip portions are huge! Jumbo sausages are awesome too. Easy to park.

Great takeaway, plenty of free parking. I placed a huge order to be dleivered for an event, they were friendly, helpful and the fish & chips/meals came on time piping hot, thanks so much to everyone who works there, great job !

Large haddock and chips, not forgetting the mushy peas, from Daniels at Littlemoor, unbeatable! As a retired couple, we order 1 meal between the 2 of us as an occasional treat, huge portions and always freshly cooked and delicious!

Delivery quick. Chips looked like they were reheated and old loads of really dark brown ones so over cooked with a burnt taste.not impressed for the price as half couldn’t be eaten

Probably the worst fish and chips I've ever had. The chips were the scrapings from the bottom of the fryer. All chip bits, very few actual chips. The batter on the fish was hard and crunchy. The fish was dry and poor quality. I ordered around 6pm but it was as if the whole lot had been lying around since lunchtime.

Visited here for the first time as it was our first night in our caravan so fancied a quick tea. It is located in a little retail park so plenty of parking. The staff on my visit were very polite and acknowledged me as soon as I walked in and the food came quickly after I ordered!! The chips were fresh and hot and the fish was of decent size which was very flaky and the batter was perfectly done!! Battered sausage was very very tasty also! Kids had chips with popcorn chicken which also had very good portions which they thoroughly enjoyed!! Not an old school traditional chippy like in the area but very nice and decently priced for the area! Would definitely visit again and recommend 👍🏼

What happened tonight? This was not the usual service . Steak and Ale pie was hard and inedible. the pastry was like it had been in the warmer oven for hours. it was that hard that the sauce inside had dried up. Very disappointed also with the time our delivery took , over an hour. What is going on? Certainly not up to your usual standard.

We ordered take out from Daniels on the first night of our holiday. Extremely busy little place! However don't get put off by the cue as they have lots of staff turning around orders really quickly. Food was good! Would recommend!

Superb cod, such light batter ! We love fish cooked that way. One of the best we’ve ever eaten. Everything else lovely. And delivered by the usual guy, so friendly and chatty. Thank You guys we LOVED it!

This is a must get, the fish and chips were both perfectly cooked, not to much batter. The chips were fluffy and perfectly salted, all my friends loved it. But. The wait time was inexscusible, 30 mins for 5 cod and 2 medium chips. On the subject of chips, there weren't many and needed more

Have bought from Daniels as long as they have been there bought fishx2 chips and pea fritter last night it was the worst meal fish dried out totally inedible chips just bits of burnt potatoes 19.00 not happy

I have never had bad chips from Daniels Fish and chips, often very fast service and sometimes some nice little deals on.

As always everytime I visit my dad we order Daniel’s and it’s just perfect, great portion size and lovely and hot!

Fish was supposed to be large, but honestly, looked pretty regular to me, also it was dry.
