The best restaurants serving British food in St Marychurch Torbay South West

I had our 25years wedding anniversary on 16th Aug, at the orestone hotel. Fab service excellent food, nothing to much trouble. 5 star review.

Great local fresh food cooked to perfection at a reasonable price. We loved the place the food and had great service would recommend and we will go back.

These guys are great. They framed a whole body of my St Ives paintings, to the agreed dates for an exhibition. Helpful and good value. Can’t recommend highly enough. Many thanks. Oliver

Great food served fresh and hot

Just popped in for quick coffee and pannini- cheerful and pleasant staff - good menu to choose from and they made my coffee nice and hot as requested- food was very good too. I will definitely eat here again!

As always, excellent and friendly service! Comfortable and reasonable prices for both food and drinks. We always enjoy our visits to Babbacombe Inn.

I would highly recommend the Sunday carvary, food served lovely and hot and vegetables cooked to perfection, all fresh. We have just spent the last few hours enjoying one of the best roast dinners. The service was excellent and the staff were really nice helpful.

Fantastic cafe in fact so good we visited twice in a week! Had a breakfast which was lovely, great quality ingredients and served fresh and hot. Went back for an omelette and fish finger butty both spot on. Had to have cream tea as well which I have to say the scones really are the best in the area. They were lush. Also took a slice of coffee cake away with us! ..well we are on holidays. Honestly this is a gem of a place. Dog friendly too which is always a bonus for us. Dont walk past it do go and see the ladies they do not disappoint.

So glad we came across this cake shop 🧁 We were visiting the local pet shop and stopped in our tracks when we seen these amazing cakes through the window! Also, what a happy soul you have working there too! Singing their absolute heart out, and quite possibly the happiest person we met all holiday 🥰 (30th May).

Have used this fish and chip shop for years and even drive 5 miles out of my way to go there however on my last 3 visits the quality has been very poor, The chips are very dry when usually they have been very good. I would understand if the chips had been sat there awhile but on 2 occasions the shop was very busy. Sadly I will have to find somewhere else to buy my chips from now on.

Fab pub! Lovely community feel without being 'locals' only vibes.

It's a shame!been going for years on and off,foods still nice but booked a table for Sunday lunch with a dog, didn't have the booking put out the back.No explanation will try again.

Lovely meal in friendly restaurant-

We went for a meal, the service at first was swift and quick but then when we finished the main course we waited aged for someone to come and clear up the plates. I said to my mum let’s give it 10 mins as I wanted to see the dessert menu. No one came so we left. Food was good but salmon had way too much pesto the vegetables were soaked in it. Not sure if we will go back.
