Calibre of clientele leaves a lot to be desired, however staff were genuinely trying to be helpful and composed whilst receiving unjustified verbal abuse.

Didn't have food, called in for a drink, love the garden 🪴

Had a terrible experience. Wouldn't recommend. They got my mum's drink wrong. She ordered a diet Coke and she got given a original fat coke. She's a diabetic so she had to get it changed. My dad wanted red wine but they had none of it except from rosé wine and white wine. They said there getting there menu change to something smaller but both me and my family had different things crossed off on the menu. Me my sister and my mum all ordered the surf and turf. Rump steak and four garlic prawns with chips, three onion rings, peas and tomato. All came out wrong. Me and my sister was missing a tomato. I had one prawn missing. They said they dropped it and they will get me a new one. Never happened. And all our steaks were already seasoned with salt. A little too much salt. The whole steak was salty. Like someone seasoned it with a whole cup of salt. Waste of my £20. I had to drink 4 cups of water.

No beer on hand pump. Food was OK and good price. Full of youngsters, very loud music

Overall , i thought the place was average , but not bad . Service was ok . Food came out in decent time but incomplete . They had run our of an item but not informed us , so waited for a replacement.

Staff were nice, shame about the other clientele. That was enough to scar me for life.

Wedding reception was held in a room just off the bar, it was amazing, the food was so tasty with a varied selection and staff was very helpful

Amazing food still with great service speed and a good friendly local pub atmospjere. Would definitely recommend with super friendly staff and good prices, my little ones loved it and the music

Had my dad's wake here and the staff were incredibly nice and supportive. I highly recommend this pub, plus the setting is fantastic with superb views. Thank you again Hannah and team, you make a very sad day a little easier xxxx

Nice group in for karaoke on Friday. Staff friendly, good range of drinks, prices average. Have eaten here a couple of times now and was pleasantly surprised. Our toddler had fun on the slide/castle thing outside while waiting for food.

The food here is SO good. Honestly, I've eaten here twice and it's all been delicious, especially the chips! Family friendly and speedy service and plenty of entertainment through the week.

Majority of the draught on tap was empty and they were selling multipack cans and beers out of the fridge that they'd bought from a local supermarket...

Great food and friendly people!

We went for lunch at the time we had booked only to find no one there behind the till. Luckily the cook came & served us! Eventually a 'manager' appeared with the till drawer- only 10-12 mins after opening time! They had a wedding booked for 3 hours later and quite honestly should NOT have taken lunch bookings if they were, what appeared to us so disorganised. The place had no atmosphere and we were given a table directly outside the ladies loo - nit nice when you're eating. Onto the food offerings, We saw their advert for 2 people to have lunch for a discounted price from their lunchtime menu. The pictures shown are NOT what you actually get - very very misleading!! One of us had a burger & chips - not included in the offer - which was I believe very nice. 3 of us had a breakfast which wasn't so nice, ordered from the lunch menu. Apparently for the offer you DO NOT get what's shown on the menu, you get 1 of each, but not all. The toast was totally cold when it got to us & served with a small dish of revolting margarine! So, all in all a totally misleading advertising campaign, compounded by poor service and attitude and 2 of us couldn't eat the breakfast as it wasn't nice. My advice, don't open the pub when you've got a wedding if you can't service customers with a good attitude, pleasant disposition, smile! And, for goodness sake make the ads truly reflect the offerings!

Awful, pre-ordered food for 6pm, food arrived 7.15pm burnt or in the case of chips raw. Not recommended. Dessert they hadn't a clue so we just left.

We popped in for lunch today and were very pleasantly surprised! Parking was easy enough - although a tad expensive - in the Torbay owned car park but plenty of parking within a very short walk so big tick. The pub looks great, fresh paint etc. The lady who served us was very pleasant and polite and our dog was welcome too another massive tick! Brilliant menu with something for everyone. I chose a jacket potato with coleslaw - they had run out but still managed to magic me up a delicious coleslaw jacket with a lovely big salad. Everyone in our party was extremely happy with their food including our nearly 4 year old and we all agreed it was the best pub food we’d had in ages! We all eat out regularly… We don’t come to Torquay very often but we will definitely be back and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. Thank you so much for a lovely meal.

Absolute terrible service, jumped up so called manager , not hard to spot her by the porcelain smile. Food is overpriced and basic Staff need training and possibly a therapist for the manager after witnessing her break down over a minor confrontation.

I went to a party here recently, the atmosphere was great they had a live busker singing and she was really good and then the party kicked off and that was really good, the buffet was nice and tasty, however when we arrived the fridges behind the bar looked barely stocked and during the evening up until midnight they ran out of many things? If it had been my party I'd of been speaking to management and making a complaint and if it had cost anything to hire the venue I'd be asking for a refund or partial refund because it was unacceptable for the party organiser to have that kind of service for a loved ones birthday. The venue itself is good, smallish back room but big enough for a party with a nice outside area with (I think as it was dark) nice view at the rear. The staff were friendly and did their best to serve everyone as it was fairly busy buy it is quite expensive Approx £5 a pint or £7 for a rum & coke.

Went there on Saturday just gone. Great female singer performing. Nice atmosphere and locals friendly...

Roast dinner was average. Plates not hot so went cold pretty quick. Had to go bar separately to order and pay so no table service. Told staff when we went in it was freezing as no heating on and all doors open so eat with coat on. Door was closed by us but was opened again by staff. Not the best customer service. Will not b returning which is ashame. Could b sooo much better.

Great place for dinner prior to Babbacombe theatre Shows. Pretty good selection and Joe; the head barman and waiter is a star.

I'm not sure what to think of this place, I don't know whether it is in its last days of trading or starting out.....There appeared to be a lot of staff around but very little customers. There was a menu, but lots of the options were not available and this is possibly permanent as they had amended the menu with a pen. There were 2 options for dessert, so very limited choice; jam pudding or ice cream... We decided to order 2 lattes which were reasonably priced at £2.50, but we were a little surprised to see them both delivered in different size glasses!!

Once more a brilliant Roast at The Divers Arms ! It was as good as a Carvery with a selection of all the meats on offer or just your favourite which you don’t find very often, I especially liked the Cauliflower cheese dish which was more than enough for our table of four which was all in the price rather than paying extra! The service from our young waitress was second to none as usual, Thanks to everyone at the Divers Gordon

Went for a family meal, friendly service great food and decent portions, best roast in babbacombe, inside is best it has looked much lighter and open and the garden area is great for the kids

Lovely Sunday veggie roast, very tasty and the carnivores always love it here too. Wonderful staff that can’t do enough for you. Great dog friendly bar, with kid friendly enclosed garden and wooden play equipment.

Great food, nice decor, good service. There's a nice little play area in the garden for the kids and they were really happy with the 3 course children's menu (£7.50) The adults all enjoyed their meals from a menu with something for everyone.

Not entirely sure what this venue is trying to be, a bit of an Ibiza beach club vibe, shame it's not by the beach and judging by the fact there was only one other person in the 'pub' on a bank holiday weekend in the school holidays i guess it's missing the mark? That might be down to the awful service, stood waiting at the empty bar for 5 minutes while three waitresses looked at me and carried on washing walls, unpacking boxes and chatting while an unruly dog ran around. When finally served any glass to hand will do serviced without a smile. Garden is nice though... All in all a first and last visit.

We have just got back from a lovely meal at The Diver's Arms. The food was great, fresh and hot. Joe was at the bar and serving tables. He was so helpful and polite. A lovely place to eat, wouldn't hesitate to recommend and will definitely return ourselves.

I cannot praise this pub enough. Staff are helpful and friendly but above efficient. The food cooked by the fantastic chef,Jade, was fabulous. I cannot recommend this pub enough.

Came her for dinner before going to the show at the Babbacombe theatre. great venue, did it last year and it was so good we came again.

What a beautiful family run pub this is! I came up today for lunch with my friend. The food was amazing, cocktails were nice and refreshing, and the view was breath taking!! I would highly recommend coming up to The Divers Arms, especially on a lovely sunny day. The beer garden is beautiful, with all the flowers and palm trees making it feel like your somewhere abroad. They also have a nice little play area for kids.

We visited on a sunny Sunday to take advantage of the early evening sun from the rear garden. They didn’t have any draft ales on which was disappointing so we chose cider. When we sat outside I noticed that my glass was very dirty with lipstick and general muck (I wasn’t wearing lipstick) but as I’d already drained half of my drink I didn’t mention it - I should have in hindsight as the thought was quite horrid! The garden could be stunning as it has a nice sea view but it’s very unloved and sad looking - not a plant in sight and a rickety fence. Could do better. I’m not feeling inclined to return unfortunately.

Walked in & instantly sold on the sizzling Fajitas- wow 👌 on point,. Had steak Fajitas asked for Rare steak & tasted divine 😋 cooked to perfection. Chef 👨‍🍳 here is a asset, Top marks 🌟 Partner Tried the shepards pie 🥧 😋 we ended up sharing both dishes; as both were super yummy, with a garden that has the most beautiful view X

We visited today for the first time and were pleasantly surprised! The inside is clean, calming and spacious and the outside garden has a lovely climbing centre and beautiful views - we were welcomed by the lovely staff and were shown the menus. We ordered the roasts and the food was utterly delicious! Our plates came loaded with meat, roast potatoes, stuffing, carrots, cauliflower cheese and Yorkshire pudding as well as a huge bowl of additional vegetable and gravy! I cannot believe how reasonable it was and we can’t wait to return.

Wanted a reasonable priced pub meal just to line the stomach and fill a little hole and the Divers did the job brilliantly Enjoyed the fish and chips and the haddock and mozzarella fish cakes They didn't skimp with the chips either x

Where do I start, the divers arms is one of the best in the bay, everything and everyone is always 100%. The staff go above and Beyond. Dodd is always amazing.

Had a 18th birthday meal booked in with this place for 30th January which was a Monday evening. They took our pre order and was all confirmed over messenger. Turn up on the evening only to find out they didn’t open Monday evenings !!! Working...

Absolutely disgusting, had a booking for the 30th Jan 23 even sent in our choices from menu as it was going to be a booking for at least 20 people only to find the place locked up and in the dark, no warning, no message nothing ,totally disrespectful, we will never darken there door again, the poor girl who arranged it for 18th birthday was distraught, shame on you

We were allowed to take our dog in and I enjoyed one of the best shepherd's pies I've had in a long time the staff were very pleasant and the atmosphere is what you would expect from a local pub.

Love the openess and decor of the Divers Arms. Hallomi fries and fajitas are my favourite pub meal. Sunday roasts are always tasty and staff are always friendly. Beer garden is quite large and a sun trap for those sun lovers.

Very cold and unwelcoming decoration and flooring, but was very clean. Beer very expensive but kept well. Extremely quiet.

The nicest roast dinner I have had in a very long time and such great prices too. They also have a lovely little beer garden to rear with a kids play area and an amazing sea view ! . So glad we stopped in on our trip to Devon.

We were going to the theatre with a show starting at 7:30pm and wanted to eat before the show - passed this pub which had a reasonable menu and although it was a bit tatty on the outside, we were pleasantly surprised by the decor...

Called in today after passing on the bus on the way to Babbacombe Model Village. Was served by Hanna who gave us a warm welcome. The drinks were reasonably priced and my hubby assured me the Guinness is very well kept. We didn’t eat, but...

Once I'd walked up to Babbacombe from Torquay I felt like I'd earned my lunch and popped in here from a BLT and some elderflower tonic water. Staff were friendly, pub is spotlessly clean and my BLT was fab.

No food Monday or Tuesday lunchtime. Disappointing.

Avoid the sausage and mash. It cost around £11+ And I was served the cheapest sausages you could find. Fatty and tasteless. Really disappointing. I hate to complain, especially in the company I was with, but I felt ripped off. I expected more at that price.

Great venue, staff are really pleasant but the prices are shocking. 3.65 for a coke! 6 euros for nachos that were microwaved, not even any guacamole or sour cream. 12 quid for a halloumi burger which consisted of 2 slices of halloumi and 3 slices of pepper on a bed of lettuce. The bread was cheap and fell apart. If it had been cheaper I wouldn't complain, but at that price, I expected to receive higher than wetherspoons quality to be honest.

This place is huge and has a great beer garden. Really great service when we visited, could see this as a really great venue to hold a large party or even for after a wedding. The only negative was drinks that are very expensive - but they were served in proper glasses. I'd definitely return but due to my budget would not stay for more than one.

Nice renovated pub with extensive beer garden

Staff unwelcoming and rude. kids burger raw and cold tried to tell me if was because it was handmade like steak so they serve it pink.. it wasnt pink, it was cold in the middle, red and stretchy... meaning it was raw. you cant serve raw minced beef to adults let alone toddlers. raw burgers means food poisoning. its basic cookery even google will tell you that so no education needed. Dont use excuses, they sent out a new one and it was just a burger flattened as thinly as possible so now it was dry and inedible and completely overcooked. not sure why its so hard to cook a burger to a normal temperature, you shouldnt need to flatten it thinner than a pancake. my kids didnt eat it and they eat basically anything. burger bin was so chewy that even the dog didnt eat it. will go elsewhere in the future.
