This is the third time I order with just eat and do not get my food. Been sitting on the front door step. From there I can see the back as well. NO ONE delivered the food but the order says delivered at 17.32hrs. No number to call either.

Peas we're cold, curry sauce was like flavoured water, really really runny. Chips under cooked pale and soggy. Fish was acceptable but had much much better in past orders. Over all a disappointing supper for nearly £40.00.

I love this place but have to be honest and today meal was not the usual delight. Always rate it a 10 but sadly a 7 today

The food was hot and tasty, however it had to be the smallest, large Cod I have ever had, medium sized at best and disappointing considering it was more expensive than most other chip shops on the site.

Take away sausage and chips awful. Chips so hard and obviously refried from an earlier service.

They use cheep Aldi own mars bars and I payed £3.50 a bar not 30p fummin!!

Shiphay chippy is by far the best chippy in the bay. Since living in Torquay I have not found a chippy that knows how to cook fish and chips properly. All the food arrived piping hot, taste was perfect, and the menu has a great variety. Will definitely be returning.

Very poor service. Yet again my order has been messed up. I’ve received completely the wrong order. Wait g for refund before I can re order what I originally ordered. Not a happy customer

Just had a haddock and chips at the end of the Bearded Theory Festival from these guys. I wish I had started my festival 4days with them and come back daily. Fantastic!! Just like fish and chips from the seaside.

The food was freezing cold and not edible.

Chips have been reheated most probably from the afternoon they were stale, worst chips I've ever eaten 👎🏻

Large chips were more like small chips. The large battered sausage was small too. The food was clearly a day old by taste as it was stale.

We ordered a jumbo fish and chips but received standard size.

A bit disappointed that the prices have gone up but quantity has reduced. Still lovely food but don’t get half as much as you used to for less money.

Great food but shame about the customer service. Despite ordering ahead I waited 20 mins in shop. Other people came in after me, ordered at the counter and left before me. I didn’t have a big or difficult order. No apology for the wait from the staff. Won’t be using again.

Went on Thursday evening, great service, great food and most of all a great price. Plus got 10% discount for being over 65. Being old does have advantages sometimes 👍😂😂

Totally unacceptable, only half my order turned up, and got told there is nothing they can ,absolutely disgusting, won't order from theses again or just eat

Very disappointed for some reason the order went through as a collection? I called for the shop to cancel and she refused even though I was going to re order with delivery on just eat as I have been doing for a year with this shop! So they sell on two battered sausages and chips and rip me off.

Fish was lovely, far too many chips, a small size would be better (about half what I got) Original delivery estimate 1710 and Assigned delivery driver showing . After about 1739 the status changed to delivery driver in shop. Just before 1810 the status said signal lost driver on the way and about a minute later he arrived, not impressed with tracking order. Would recommend to neighbours as fish was really good and chips were also good even though too large a portion

Ordered my second delivery. as I enjoyed my first. But sadly just did not come up to scratch? The batter on my fish was pale, soggy and limp, undercooked? Very unpleasant to eat, so didn't. Where as previously it was very crisp and tasty. But did arrive hot, chips and curry fine. What happened?? Reticent about trying again.

The lady that delivered it did give myself a very disgusting look As she delivered my food

Food wasn't good, overcooked spring rolls and breaded mushrooms tasted wrong, inedible. Chips were nice.

Decent burger and curry sauce, good amount of cheese. Me being greedy I’d say more fried onions in the burger but that’s just preference

What a difference from just eat will never use them again. Twice now my order has been undeliverd sorry deliverd to the wrong address and iv been left hungry and out of pocket A big thankbyou to the gentleman who delierd my evening meal x

It’s nice to be able to have fish and not chips. The plaice was very good the icing on the cake was the saveloys. The delivery was on time and food very hot .would order from Shiphay chippy again.

I ordered food in advance to be delivered at 7pm and when it arrived it was swimming with grease I ordered large chips it was a regular portion at best. Very disappointed not worth the money

Really unhappy delivered over a hour late and missing a whole portion of food and the resturant never answers the phone very poor won't use again

Old fashioned chippy, not greasy at all, nice taste. Nice gravy. Started using this chippy a lot recently as its good portions and not heavy with greasy. Lovely sausages

Ordered Saturday 4.40pm. Delivered 6.10. They said it would be 35min. HOWEVER the food was fresh, hot, not greasy and really tasty. Shame about the timings ….

A little irritated that despite leaving a note about delivery to the rear and a note on the door because I'm disabled they phoned to say they were at the front door and hung up. By the time I got there she had left the order on the front door step. Fortunately it had stopped raining!! Food was great though.

I have been regularly order from Shiphay- Chippy and we love their haddock chips and chicken always arrive early and the food is nice fresh and hot . Except yesterday it was almost 2 hour late . The driver got lost. Called me I stepped outside and wait for her outside. Arrived and then she said oh it’s very difficult to find this place (never had problem wifth any deliveries live in number 1) so she didn’t even say sorry! The food was cold we needed to warm up. It was not the same we had before it wasn’t as fresh.

I ordered fish and chips and they arrived very hot so hot I burned my mouth. Amazing really coming from shiphay to newton abbot.

It was good food is tasty, but I don't know what is going on with the spuds most of the chips had black bits in them you expect one or two chips with that issue but majority?, That is my only gripe staff are polite

The chip were hard and have black marks on them the fish over cooked and the pie was hard I won't be ordering again because it was nearly a hour late to

Nice food but ordered a salt and chilli box, there were only 2 nuggets, 2 mushrooms, along with 3 onion rings and fish bites, maybe as more nuggets and mushrooms

Awful , when I picked the bag up it split and my food fell out only one of the items was okay to eat and it delivered way after the delivery time

Normally have fish supper from here when visiting my olds in Torquay. Saw them on for Newton Abbot delivery so risked it as its my fave chippy in the area. Was not disappointed, delivery only minutes late but food was hot and delicious as I expected 😁

Delivered piping hot and well wrapped. Chips were lovely, pie, sausage, fish cakes, curry sauce all great. Cod bites a bit of an odd taste so wont order those again. Fast delivery, polite delivery chap. Will definately be ordering from this chippy again xx
