Brilliant! The staff were very friendly and the food was fantastic. A little dated in places but that's to be expected I guess. Thank you.

We have just returned to our accommodation, the Burberry hotel Torquay, who highly recommended we visited the Chelston Manor, what a recommendation, stunning food, great service, fantastic evening.

Popped for a quick late lunch, it was our first time being at Chelston Manor and it didn't disappoint! Lovely and quick service, good atmosphere, and the food! Excellent presentation (see photos) and so delicious! Every single dish blew us away. And the chips!! The most amazing crispy and seasoned chips we ever had! 100/10! Will be returning.

We had a lunchtime meal, I had the Morrocan meatballs which were very good and my husband had a cheddar baguette which was also good. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Great food with a lovely beer garden, the staff were all very jolly and happy to help. Ribs, wings and Chorizo were all very flavourful. Will definitely return.

We were surprised at the choice of food and the service was excellent. We originally were unsure as we browsed the menu before arriving and it seems a little pricy for lunch however we were all ( 8 of us ) plenty surprised how accommodating they were and there was another menu for smaller portions . All food was delicious when it arrived and well presented .

Easy to find, friendly and welcoming staff, very attentive and helpful. Delicious, freshly cooked food and pleasant drinks. Nice outside area. Would definitely recommend and be back to try more dishes on the menu!

Very disappointing lunch menu nothing hot just sandwiches really we expect better from you there seems like you have given up the lunch time food unless you have sandwiches

We had dinner here three times and it was excellent.

We ate here for 4 days and really enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and the excellent meals. The staff is also very friendly and interested. Thank you very much!

Went for dinner as we were struggling to find a table on a Monday evening in Torquay. Was quite disappointing from the outside and the inside didn’t improve, looking quite tired and completely lacking in atmosphere. The staff were friendly enough but the menu uninspiring. The waitress didn’t offer a wine/drinks list when I asked for wine, so I just ordered a medium glass of white wine with no idea of prices. We chose from the specials board and I had chicken pie and my husband had a stroganoff. The food was not great, soggy bottom pie and overcooked veg. Not really an enjoyable meal and would not go again.

Dropped in to Chelston Manor and was very impressed with the friendly and genuinely interested staff. We had a meal there after trying the real ale on offer, and it was all spectacular and served with real kindness. I wish I had a place like this near to me, as I would often frequent it. The staff deserve to know that their interest and friendly character is just what everyone is looking for. Well done on all counts.

Beautiful chicken Roast dinner! Had a few Roasts here and the herby chicken and lamb is the best-superb! The cheese cake was to die for! With cappuccino icecream - beautiful! Great friendly staff, always a smile and just very genuine. Lovely clean tables. Thank you for another great Sunday meal.

We had dinner at Chelston Manor, it was so good we came back again two nights later. Excellent quality food, pleasant staff in a relaxed pub setting. Good choice of wines by the glass also.

Tucked away in Torquay in a quiet road is a charming hotel.

Still really good food again and good value. Friendly staff, quite busy again and lively but still our food arrived in about 10 minutes. The only problem with Chelston Manor is it's not close enough to be my local. Great little pub and wish it was my local. I have seriously considered moving close enough though for it to qualify.

Went here for a fabulous meal to celebrate my wife's 50th with friends. Great service amazing food nice atmosphere. Will definitely be back. Went back and the food is still amazing atmosphere still nice and service was excellent. Already recommended to friends.

Nasty food from a pathetically, small menumenu Like they didn’t want to be bothered with lunch basically sandwiches not much else Never again such a shame as in the past we have enjoyed lunch there

Recently we had a family celebration in the lovely private dining room which we highly recommend. The management and staff went above and beyond to make this an extra special occasion. Our 4 young children were also excellently catered for with nibbles and snacks. All our meals were delicious with excellent service. We had a roast dinner here on the 31 of march it was are son's one year anniversary we lost him a year ago we had his wake here and we loved the place it was only right that we had his first anniversary here

Down for the Easter weekend to visit family. We had our dog with us and had googled dog friendly restaurants. We went in on Good Friday chancing our luck that they might have a table for dinner. One of the waitresses explained there was a band going on at 7 but we could have the table in front of them we said because of my mum it might be too nosy for her. She then preceded to ask around and found a table who wanted to just drink and see the band so they moved and we got to sit round in the restaurant side. The food was incredibly tasty, well presented and great portion! The staff were so attentive and kind a right little gem of a place thanks to the amazing staff and delicious food!!

We went to the manor last night, a group of friends,had a fantastic greeting from the staff,every coarse was lovely,could not fault anything,very tasty and presented well,I had the cheese board for pudding,my oh my,it was the best cheese board I’ve ever had,and they certainly didn’t skip on the cheeses,fantastic food and very attentive staff,will definitely be returning soon ,well done Chelston manor we all had a brilliant night .

Chelston Manor is one of our closest places to eat and was easily our first choice when we were choosing establishments to celebrate in after our wedding venue. The staff there are always so friendly, they really went all out to make our wedding day so special. The food tasted amazing and they were so great with my sister who had special dietary restrictions, changing and creating new dishes to suit her needs. You can tell that every staff, from the waitresses, to the chef and the owners are passionate about their jobs and give their all. Would recommend to anyone!

Had a fantastic Mother's Day meal today here. Food was delicious and the service was great. All the staff were very welcoming. Looking forward to our next visit hopefully very soon

Hired a couple of the front rooms to host a party. Really well-priced. The buffet was superb. Communication with the management superb. Recommended.

Excellent food, we had a gathering from Kings bowling club. Each having different meals. I can say each and everyone enjoyed their meal and the service. Great time had by all. We will definitely be back.

Such limited menu I’ll never try them again it’s mostly just sandwiches during the day and even they where poor at best plastic factory bread and not bow culinary fresh at that partner had sausages and mashed potato she said they had been cooked to quickly as full of gristle she know what she is taking about to basically very poor

Great service and food. The staff went out of there way to look after us and also met my dietary requirements as I don't eat shellfish or pork. The chef made something off the menu and all the staff went the extra mile to ensure I didnt eat the wrong food as my wife doesn't have the same requirments. Thanks to all.

Went here for a treat dinner was lovely we had sirloin steak it was delicious every bit was well cooked thanks to the chef service was very good we really enjoyed our evening we will definitely be back

We always have excellent food, drink and service at this pub and today was no exception. Two beautiful roasts, one beef, one nut roast with loads of lovely trimmings, reasonably priced. They also have a good number of alternative options if you don't fancy a roast. Highly recommend

I visited here last night with my 5 year old son. The staff where fantastic and spoke and joked with my son. The food was quick and very good. Burgers where plentiful ( maybe a side salad or something would be a nice addition) but the desserts, the lemon and white chocolate parfait in particular where very good. Very relaxed, clean friendly environment and the staff made it. Definitely a place to return to. Thank you.

Went away for the wifes birthday and used the establishment for our evening meals staff are really friendly and the food is to die for will be returning thanks for the hospitality.

Went here for the resteraunt. Everything was clean and the service was 5 star quality. Steak and fish cook absolutely perfect and the portion sizes were decent and everything is cooked fresh. This was a perfect dining experience and it expensive either

Lovely food in a pub with a really well looked after beer garden - probably the biggest beer garden we saw in Torquay actually.

Having used the manor for over 43 years always enjoyed our visits here and on recent occasions enjoyed our meals and staff very pleasant having attended wakes for a number of our family but came here for a celebration of my wife's birthday and sat in the beer garden with a family of 20 to be told the grandchildren could not run around or leave where we were seated and told it was not a 'park' never have I ever visited a pub with a beer garden to be told this yes we can understand this in the bar /restaurant area but a beer garden?suffice to say we won't visit again ,nice place but not if you have children
