Lovely unique interior and food very pleasant and staff very friendly, working hard in these difficult times to make the business work. Please support the independent businesses.

Have been living in South Devon for 7 years now and have finally found a good chip shop. We only had chips but they were very tasty and excellent value. We had a small portion each and did wonder if that would be enough, it was plenty and more! The service was very quick and polite, we will be back - Thankyou!

A lovely little cafe, with good service. Went there for breakfast, food was just okay. Beans were warm (not hot), hashbrowns soggy (although they were replaced on request), and sausages not very tasteful. For the price it wasnt tge quality one would expect

Great pub. We stayed at the Great Hall for 3 days and the pub became our local, landlord was very friendly, we sort of took over the pool and darts room on the last evening for a couple of hours, and the beer was well kept as well.

We had the Sunday carvery which was very reasonably priced(could have even have been a £1 dearer and would have been good value) You don't have to book and service is really good. Some of the vegetables were a little underdone but then I prefer my roasties to be golden brown. This a common problem with carverys though. As a carvery it was excellent and would return again

I believe this pub was recently sold off by Heavitree after many years of neglect. I'm not sure they do food yet but I was very impressed by the lady behind the bar (Kelly?). She knows her job and has a very good rapport with the customers. We'll be going again.

We stopped here earlier in the year and found good service and good food so returned with friends to find rude and abrupt service. Food was ok, but felt like had to gulp it down and go as so unwelcome. The woman serving was abrupt and sullen and it was not busy, so that cannot be the excuse. On the way back we stopped at the Otter Valley the other side of the road which was FAR superior in every way.
