The best restaurants serving British food in Coly Valley East Devon South West

Very disappointing, chips were only just warm and needed a few more minutes of cooking, thought they were being cooked freshly but they must have been left standing in a underneath cabinet. As we had to wait for fish to be cooked can't understand why they didn't recook them. The fish was very small. Won't be bothering again worst one we have had.

Huge disappointment. Be warned! What is on offer is nothing like what is shown on website. Had to wait three quarters on an hour and then had to prompt for menu. Young staff very pleasant but untrained for restaurant work. Had to ask for condiments and table water. Had three different mains and all equally mediocre. Would not recommend. Very different from the divine food service and bon homie of the previous owners.

Return visit after last years stay. Still the same warm welcome and the facilities are clean and tidy. Pam kindly gave us the same pitch as last year which was nice.

A super little cafe with a wide menu and very friendly staff. The tram station is picture perfect and always looks lovely whenever we visit. Recommended.

We received a warm and friendly welcome! The hot tub was very enjoyable as a birthday treat for my wife. Our meals were delicious, the atmosphere was very congenial, and we had a fabulous breakfast. Thank you! 😊

Great place.Have been a frequent visitor since we moved back down to Devon 6 years ago.

Stopped here for a quick lunch. they only serve pasty’s or sausage rolls hot , comes with no side salad or crisps like others usually do but was very nice all the same . it was empty when we got there but soon filled up . lovely garden to sit in also . friendly service. we will return .

This place is very much a locals place. Open mike night on when we visited. Not many customers Very old run down and drab. Manager was friendly enough to start but then when we had bought a drink was only interested in his locals. Drinks expensive for the type of place. Ok for one drink but no atmosphere. Wouldn’t visit again

The staff are nice and friendly and inside has a lovely cozy atmosphere. Service always comes with a smile. The food is delicious and even better because it is locally sourced and fresh.
