A lovely café with an extensive menu which often includes specials-crab cakes the day we visited. My ham baguette was generously filled and came with a fresh, colourful side salad and crisps. My wife enjoyed a delicious park, apple sauce stuffing bap. Service was prompt, everywhere clean and tidy, and the coffe was good. Thoroughly recommend a trip on the tram and a bite to eat here.

Best cream tea ever. Two massive scones, baked to perfection, very generous servings of delicious jam and clotted cream and tea. The setting is lovely, particularly where we ate in a conservatory-type area at the rear. Lovely helpful staff. Spotlessly clean. 'Can't wait to visit again. I will dream of this clotted cream tea for weeks on end.

We visited for lunch whilst on a day out on the Seaton Tramway. Arrived at the same time as a tram full of people all wanting to eat at the same time so were expecting a long wait - how wrong can you be! Whilst we had to queue to order, the efficiency of the staff was amazing in both the ordering process and the delivery of the food. All the staff were very friendly, and worked very well as a team. A real pleasure to watch! There was a good choice of food, everywhere was spotless, and the food was lovely & good value for money. We had toasted sandwiches, cheesy chips and a chip butty. The cream tea looked lovely, as did the food other people were eating. All this, and in a lovely setting too where you can watch the trams or sit in the conservatory out back. It was so good we will return, even when we don't want a day out on the trams!

This cafe is situated in the most beautiful train station I've ever seen. They have an extensive and informative menu, which also tells you about events they run on the trams. They're very understanding of allergies and intolerances here - I think it's the most understanding place I've ever been to! They can provide an Allergen menu on request. We sat in the lovely Garden Room - a long conservatory with a view of plants on one side. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Service was fast despite them being so busy, the portions were very generous and my West Country ham, eggs and chips was delicious. A real asset to the tramway. Highly recommended!

I couldn't praise this place highly enough! It is a bit Tardis like, there is a lot more room inside than you would think. I've been and eaten here twice now, both inside and out. A few weeks ago I had the all day breakfast and wow, it was superb. Hot, beautifully cooked and perfect. And not expensive!!! I wish I had this place nearer to where I lived. If I lived nearer I would be there all the time. Here's a dreadful confession, I also had cake after the all day breakfast, and though I could hardly walk afterwards, this meal was the best I had all week.

Took serious advantage of the government Eat Out scheme this morning and took our boys for breakfast here. We all thoroughly enjoyed our cooked food. Both the meat, and veggie sausages, were amongst the best we'd ever had. The meat ones are from the local butcher and the veggie ones are full of, well, veggies (no fake meat to be seen!). Despite being comfortably full, we could not resist sharing two cream teas between the four of us! Pure gluttony but so, so worth it. The scones were fresh out of the oven and the cream was clotted and the jam was fruity (you're getting the picture?). As well as the food being great, the service was too. The staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

We called into the Tramstop Cafe last week when we were on the Seaton Tramway Halloween Tram of Terror. The tram was very enjoyable and the staff went all out to ensure a lovely experience for all. The cafe was very busy and on entering we headed for the crafts which were included with the Halloween package. The cafe lady in this section was exceptionally rude and confrontational when I explained we hadn't got wristbands, we had tickets for the Halloween tram as I repeatedly explained. The cafe lady I felt was very rude and confrontational, implying that I was trying to get something we hadn't paid for, we hadn't been given wrist bands as a simple oversight I'd imagine as when we were buying the tickets the kiosk lady was busy ensuring my young daughter's mobility needs would be met as she was in her wheelchair. The lack of wrist bands was not my fault yet as I wasn't aware we needed them yet I was made to feel it was and I found her attitude upsetting and ruined the trip for me. This simple error on the tramway's side could have been easily settled with us continuing to enjoy our trip to the tramstop cafe had the cafe lady's manner and attitude not been so rude. I felt this spoilt the trip for me which we had paid a lot for and looked forward to.

We parked in the free car park at Colyton Station on a sunny October day. We were delighted to discover the 'Buffet' was open and serving hot lunches. We both enjoyed freshly cooked ham, egg and chips. After our afternoon walk we returned looking forward to tea and cake - only to discover it was closing time. All the staff were very welcoming and we sat in the sun and enjoyed a pot of tea and some lovely home made carrot cake and chocolate cake.

Most folks arrive at Colyton Tramstop Cafe/Restaurant on the Electric Tram which travels back and forth from Seaton through 2 nature reserves and alongside the river Axe. Very nice and a pleasant 3 mile ride. Others arrive through walking the lovely river paths around here, by Cycle or just dropping in for a cuppa. On a sunny day there's nothing better than sitting under the colourful hanging baskets on the platform with your tea and cake people watching as the multi-coloured trams (14 varieties) disgorge or pick up their passengers. Hot meals are also available here including breakfasts and dinners. The station shop, besides selling tickets stocks an assortment of railway souvenirs, cards, toys etc, pretty much everything really, well worth a browse. There are toilets and a free car park. Colton village itself is worth a stroll round for the 'chocolate box' Devon cottages, pubs etc.An easy day out for all.

Our coffee was lukewarm with grounds floating on top and the cherry flapjack was far too sickly sweet. But worst of all, the young man who served us wiped the cake slice on his tee shirt to clean it before using it to cut the slices. Some training is badly needed here I think.

Great food and the Cream teas are excellent value for money, 2 large scones with cream and jam with a large tea for £5.00 they also give you a bag for the scone you can’t manage. Very friendly staff and pleasant clean surroundings in this former Railway Station, not to be missed. Next door is the shop to purchase your tram mementos and gifts.

Crab sandwiches on the beach….loved it. Cash only…….unbelievable how many people clearly dont have enough change for a pot of tea in their pockets these days. Lovely location, everything done properly. Don’t hesitate to walk down. PS Look after his £50 note 🤣

We had to try the new Sunday lunch menu and we were not disappointed. Roast beef served with roast potatoes, parsnips, carrots, broccoli, cheesy leeks and a proper Yorkshire - not one of those rock hard crispy things restaurants often serve. Followed up with the best freshly cooked Blueberry Bakewell and cream. The staff were friendly and attentive. Thanks very much

I have responded to the experience questions despite a non visit. My message is based on the fact I was ultimately unable to enjoy the products from my online order, as I appear to be excluded from delivery listings due to the fact I live on a Scottish Island. Whilst understanding of the potential costs involved, perhaps the company could at least offer the option to the customer to cover such...something I would be only happy to oblige with....regardless of the amount David Wilkie Isle of Cumbrae Scotland 07488941692
